I`ve only read the first book The Hobbit, which is really similar to movies, but I heard that there is much difference between LoTR books & movies from hardcore LoTR fans in my class
Btw I`ve finished the 2nd book of SGE and starting on the 3rd one, I have to say it`s one of the best series I`ve ever read! It really challenges my idea about what is truly good and evil, and there is a lot of grey area between them
