-Avery carries a bouquet of spring flowers, including Mango Nairobi Roses with sunset Calla Lilies, Dutch Lisianthus and Scottish Eryngiums. Here.
-Both carry their wands; Avery's is concealed in a pocket in his suit sleeve, and Cadence's is short enough to fit into a fashionable clutch.

-----Avery’s mother, Cadence, had ensured that the pair were ready precisely at the time she said they would arrive.
His clothes had been laid out on his bed by their House Elf, Kipney. Their main elf had also taken it upon himself, by way of extensive training and experience, to iron the shirt and tie Avery was to wear; and ensuring no lint was present on the suit blazer. This was one of his more casual suits, tailored and designed to perfect an outstanding image to whichever audience he was to present to. Typically, he only brought this suit out for occasions like today; spring time celebrations or sporting. Occasionally, Cadence had taken him to play bowls on the estates of other Purebloods, who owned vast land.
Once it was on, and his slick, jet black hair was swept back with a brush, he sprayed a few puffs of aftershave on his wrists, neck and a small dab behind his ears. He wasn’t too sure why, but his mother had taught him that way, and thus that’s what he did. She of course, understood that applying the fragrance to areas where your pulse can be detected accentuated the effects of it, and whilst she had the chance to teach Arthur and Barrow long ago; she had much less time these days, especially now that his father had returned to the residence. Damage control, she called it. That’s what he expected today was, damage control.
Thankfully, many of the attendees that were rumoured to be going were of good stock, but this presented as yet another chance to leave a good impression on the families of wider society.
“There you are my darling boy.” She had said as she observed him descending their grand staircase from her periphery, as she finished touching up her done-up hair bun; placing the enchanted comb down onto the mantle beneath the mirror. That too was expensive, as was everything in their ‘home’. When he was younger, he considered it a castle; and would have often glided down the bannister, as if flying by the seat of his pants, which he was then known to do. He was much older now, or at least he felt that way. To him, he didn’t notice that he had been forced to mature due to the lack of parenting he received, but to her it was a glaring problem; caused by her own hand but one she deemed it her mission to fix.
Once he was at the bottom, she approached him and shifted her small clutch bag to hold it beneath her arm as she used her hands to fix his tie.
“There. – Didn’t I tell you to stop growing?” She gave with a loving smile, as her blue-green eyes flicked over him and noted how he much he had grown since she had last looked at him so directly.
“I can’t help it if Arthur keeps leaving his restricted ministry potions lying around…”. He joked, smirking widely at her. Her face sharpened and she raised a slick dark brow as if to scorn that joke.
“That’s no joking matter, Avery. – I may not be in the Wizengamot any longer, but things like that would have made things that much worse.”She gave, alluding to the fact that she had to give up her position. Though he knew she enjoyed her position as this kind of socialite lobbyist that had connections throughout the ministry and wider society, he knew she missed the responsibility and weight of saying the words: ‘I, Cadence Mallory Leveret, am a member of the Wizengamot.’
“Come along then, or we’ll be late.” She added, turning to take the path through one of the corridors that was lined with expensive artwork, antique furniture and crystalline chandeliers, leading them to one of the drawing rooms near the centre of the manor-house, where their access to the floo network was. “Now be on your best behaviour and no matter the instance…”
“Always draw your wit before wand.” He finished, having heard that possibly a thousand times. It was a dumb little line she had tried to drill into him, to try and dampen his desire for intricate magical duels that he had observed in his brothers for many years. Though that desire had somewhat faded now that he had hands-on experience at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
She had smirked then, somewhat proudly as if to acknowledge that she was the best parent ever, and he rolled his eyes, as he watched her take up a handful of floo powder and step into the grand, tiled, fireplace. Now that he was at school, he wasn’t forced to go first so that she could follow after him if he ever messed it up. It felt good to have just a few moments alone to think for himself as she went up in a violent green flame and disappeared from the fireplace, after having commanded: “The Dupont Manor.”
He took a few seconds for himself, to prepare a bastion against the pressures of society; whilst he was mostly used to them by now; that didn’t mean to say he liked them. He caught himself in the reflection of a pristine silver vase that held a springtime bouquet, using it to readjust his blazer before a bright idea took hold of him. With a quick movement, he snatched up the flowers with one hand and a handful of floo powder in the other. He paused for a moment to remind himself of his ‘notes’.
“Mrs Dupont, please. On behalf of my family on this -blessed- and blooming day.” He gave, emphasising the word in his practice. The Duponts were worth impressing, as he had heard that both sides of Beatrice’s family were in some way related to royalty, and meandered through the finest social circles. How it was that Cadence Leveret has secured an invitation was beyond him, but his mother was as, if not more, resourceful as he was. This display of quick thinking was cheap, and most certainly a gamble, but it was one he would take; for if it failed he was only a boy of eleven and it could very well be put down to disruptive youth; but he still held out hope that it would win a few hearts.
With that, he flung the floo powder down and spoke as his mum had; who surely awaited him on the other side…
· · ─────── · Part II - The Dupont Manor · ─────── · ·
-----He wasn’t wrong, not one bit.
The tickle that fluttered in his belly wasn’t particularly pleasant but it wasn’t enough to spoil the smile he wore as he emerged from the fireplace on the other side. Immediately he was hit with the chill of the north, for Scotland was a lot colder than Bath; especially the coastal Fort William. Then, came the glowing rays of sun that shone through the living room windows, illuminating the opulent and well decorated room that sported old-style chaise-lounges and sofas.
Avery greeted the butler that waited to attend the newly arrived floo-ers, as he knew that staff were the eyes and ears of a place; and whilst they might not speak their opinion to the masters of the house; they were in the position that they -could- and that was enough for him.
“There he is.” Cadence said to the butler who waited on them, smiling broadly at Avery before her keen eyes clocked that he had stolen an arrangement of flowers that she had arranged personally. His ebony eyes met her lighter eyes in challenge and hers squinted, noting to make comment on that later but that she understood what he was trying to do; based solely on how he was holding them, as if he was about to ask someone on a date.
They were led through the living room without much of a fuss, and both took the opportunity to glance around and admire the decor; this was a level of wealth both aspired to. Avery’s wanting of it was just a sheer primal instinct, but Cadence’s longing gaze was rooted in something that resembled; once having had. Their gazes shifted when the butlers began to escort them from living room they had entered into, donning wide and charming smiles as they came into view of others; a small queue of guests having accumulated as the many of the respectable guests elected to pay tribute and homage to their noble hosts; Konstantin and Alice.
Avery hadn’t heard much about the Duponts, other than the Dupont girl that was in his year at school; but her parents much less so. He didn’t have an opinion of them either way, but now it seemed they were friends worth keeping if they could support a household as respectable as this. Cadence indicated silently that they were to wait in line to greet their hosts, before he would be free to go off and mingle with the other children; something he detested as he was usually better in the company of older students or adults due to his inflated sense of self-importance.┗ ┛

Nicky hopped ahead of Irene, his giddyness probably filling to the brim. Like Irene, he was a born extravert, but in different ways. While she was more of an older sister to her friends, a moral compass, he was the opposite. He liked to throw himself into adventure, and get taken over by excitement. But Irene couldn't blame him. After all, he was only seven, and Irene's Pa swears she was just the same at his age.
As they all approached the entrance, Irene ran up to catch up with her mischievous little brother. She knew her Dad was probably helping Pa get up the steps, so it was up to her to make sure Nicky didn't go running off. Who knows what kind of trouble he could get up to in a house as big as this, especially unwatched.
"Hey, little bugger," Irene huffed, ruffling his hair. They'd combed it for the event this morning, but by now it was a total mess. "Hey, hold still," she asserted, holding his shoulders. Squirming, Nicky did his best to not run off as she straightened his tie. After a second, Irene also adjusted his shirt, flattening it against his small chest. Clucking, she let him go, but quickly grabbed his little hand before he could scurry away. "Now hold on, let's wait for Pa and Dad."
It took a few minutes, but soon they were all up the steps, and headed out towards the garden. As they walked around, she noticed her dads break off to go talk to a group of other adults. Nicky wanted to join the fun too, and pulled at her hand until she let him go. Irene watched as he ran off towards the ponies, chuckling to herself as she saw him attempt to braid the hair of one. Finally, another child approached him, and Irene turned away, satisfied.
Now it was her turn. She could try to find one of her friends, like Nora, or she could be brave and talk to someone new. Okay, maybe not, she thought, glancing at groups of people she didn't know. Just as she was about to give up and just join her brother, she spotted another girl, sitting off to the side by herself. She looked around Irene's age, and was painting an egg at a lone table. After a second of indecision, Irene walked over and pulled up a seat beside the girl.
"Hey," she said, smiling softly, "Mind if I join you?"

Whereas no one seemed to be interested in Pony riding quite yet, the easter egg decorating station filled with people as new guests arrived. Young Students from Hogwarts seemed to take it as a social opportunity to paint eggs with their classmates instead of being seated somewhere, where they perhaps would have been alone. @Mahlioz Evethisawe and @Nora DeCarie started to chat quite soon as they decorated their eggs in vibrant colors and wax. Another girl, @Bailey Glade, had arrived as well and soon started decorating her own egg, surely creating a beautiful design. The sun was shining down on everyone and a good mood was in the air. The last too join the decoration table for now were @Apinya Milner and @Irene Dockert.
Beatrice stood beside her parents, a smile that seemed to be set on her face would greet everyone that arrived. Here and there, People would arrive that Beatrice had met before but a great amount of the guests seemed to be unfamiliar faces. Beatrice shook hands, exchanged pleasantries, thanked her parents colleges and her family for any compliments she got and conversed about what a beautiful day it was and how much she had grown up. Of course the Dupont Manor and garden were also greatly complimented by many. The more guests arrived, the less Beatrice wanted to stand here. Hopefully there would soon be someone arriving that she knew. As Beatrice watched the sun shimmer on the head of a man with extremely gelled her, she suddenly heard a familiar voice. Her smile widened and she excused herself with an apologetic look to her parents and a 'I will be right back.' She picked up her speed and gave Duvessa a friendly hug when she was close to the other girl. Caoimhe was with her and Beatrice have her a kind smile.
»Hi you two!« Beatrice's smile was much more genuine now, »I'm perfectly well, how are you? I'm so glad you could join us!« She really was. Most of the guests were stuck up adults with their little kids or teenagers and Beatrice hated conversing with them as it was mostly boring. She talked to Duvessa and Caoimhe for a few minutes before looking back at her parents. Her father sent her a stern look. »I will be right back, I think I have to greet some more guests. But go ahead and enjoy some food or talk to some other guests! I will join you as soon as I can.« surely Duvessa and Caoimhe would understand Beatrice's duties here, as she was the host's eldest daughter. With one last smile, she turned back around to her parents and joined them again, standing right in between them as they had wished. Soon a boy with dark hair would come into her sight. Avery Leveret. As far as Beatrice was aware, his mother was a friend of her own mother.@Duvessa Ember | @Caoimhe Kyle | @Avery Leveret |

Apinya looked up, startled at the sudden voice coming from the side of her. She looked over to see a girl sit down beside her. She didn't look much older than her, and wore a friendly smile on her face. She brushed away the remaining tears in her eyes, praying that this girl hadn't seen her crying. How embarrassing would that be?
"Yeah, of course!" She smiled back, moving up a little to make room for the girl in the center of the bench. It's not like I have anyone else to sit with after all.
She turned back to her egg, eyeing it critically. So far all she had was a light yellow background to match her hoodie, but what could she add. Perhaps some flowers? Or vines? Liking the idea of vines, she reached over for the green dye and started painting little wiggly shapes all over the background, adding a few leaves here and there for interest.
Oh Apinya, you forgot to introduce yourself again. She turned to the girl sitting beside her, "Sorry for not saying this before but uh, I'm Apinya. Apinya Milner."
She held out a dye covered hand for her to shake, then quickly retracted it, "Oops, forgot it was that dirty."

They both stepped out of the carriage, Winny with the help of Anna. She turned the girl around and fixed her hair and her bow. “Let us go in then”. She gave Anna her kind smile, it was always on her face, but Anna knew the differences between her grandma’s smiles. Linking their arms Anna straightened her back and supporting her grandma walked into the mansion. The inside was as striking and beautifully decorated as the outside. They walked through the main foyer guided by the butler and soon arrived to the entrance to the garden. There Anna saw the Dupont family. She recognized Beatrice, she certainly saw her a few times at Hogwarts. “Good morning, it's a pleasure to be here”, Anna greeted, a pleasant smile on her face, “It is nice to formally meet you Beatrice. My name is Anna Blackrose”. She smiled and nodded at Beatrice, while her nanny conversed with the other grownups.
Not wanting to clog the entrance, she nodded to Beatrice again and led her grandma to the soft blankets. She saw quite a few people there. She recognized Caoimhe and Rita and waved to the girls who seemed to be occupied at the egg painting station. She was the most excited about pony riding, but firstly she wanted to make her grandma rest for a bit. The butler showed them their blanket, Anna took two lemonades from him and helped Winny sit down on the blanket. They were sat next to another family, a boy who seemed her age was sitting the closest to her. She gave him a friendly smile, she surely saw him at Hogwarts as well. She leaned back on her arm, enjoying her lemonade, a slight breeze and her grandma’s calming presence.

I was very excited to be able to spend a day with my friend and Ash — whoever he was to me; friend didn’t feel strong enough. Mother was taking us and honestly, I thought this was a bad idea; she will definitely want to talk to either Kas or her mother/father. Even both.
And, as much as I love her, my mother can be very embarrassing!
“Are you boys ready?” she called to us.
“Ja,” I called offhandedly, watching Ash with a small smile. I motioned for him to follow me and we went to the fire place to use the Floo Network, I hated using these; they felt so weird. We got our floo powder and I went first, calling the name of the place clearly and loudly before I was gone in a flash. ja=yes
Not long later, mother and Ash appeared. I looked around we were in the living room maybe? “Glad we all made here it in one piece,” I laughed, nudging Ash. I always get nervous using them! What if I said something and it wasn’t clear enough! Who knows where I would be shipped off to! And with no means of returning home.
“This looks nice,” my mother commented, “Are you sure you don’t want us to stay-”
“I want to stay!” I turned around.
“What the hell are you doing here?” I asked in a low hiss, Baxter shrugged and grin on his face. “Go away. This will just be me and Ash,”
“Oh yeah. You and your boyfriend?” I knew that he was just teasing and didn’t mean it; it made me freeze nonetheless. I looked at Ash; what did he think?
“Shut up you little rat!” I whispered, my eyes a little wide. I looked at our mum, “Please take him home with you!” I begged. She just raised her eyebrows.
“You want to get rid of us that quick angel?” she questioned, I sighed and looked at my- at Ash again, I really want them to leave so I can seek any friends that are here and spend time with him. That’s when a butler made their way over to us but I didn’t pay much notice. “I will leave - and yes, I shall take your brother with me - when I see this friend of yours,” I let out a groan but knew that nothing I said would stop her, I just had to nod and accept this. At least she said that she would leave.

The day of the Dupont feast had arrived, and the youngster had not been looking forward to it. He was a complete stranger to the individuals he was about to meet, as he was to everyone. Beatrice Dupont was a name Ashley had never heard of. They had no kinship and never met at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Or rather, that was a lie; Beatrice's name, along with his Prefect, did ring a bell in his subconscious. When the lad finished assembling his thoughts, he recalled that Beatrice was his Captain at the Broom Racing Sport hosted by Fang-Hui Ying and the school's caretaker.
"Fascinating!"
I suppose they are both reciprocating as Lucian had invited the young man to be his plus one. Ashley had initially requested Lucian's company at the Hogwarts Ball, and now Ashley had accepted Lucian's offer to join him at the Dupont feast. Ashley worried about how the Mornstern family would react if they learned that he was a half-blood because they had no knowledge of the lad and are blood purists. All will probably be revealed in due time.
Lucian's mother had been accompanying the lads to their location via Floo Network. This was essentially the ocean-eyed boy's first trip utilising transportation magic instead of brooms to go somewhere else. Before they could depart, Lucian's brother Baxter said something that caused the boy's eyes to widen. “Oh yeah. You and your boyfriend?” The boy stood still, unable to move or even respond appropriately to the circumstance. He felt ashamed inside since he did not want to appear to have love feelings for Lucian. Ashley remained silent the whole journey, and even when they arrived at the feast, he did not say a word. This was his most worried self because he would encounter many faces that he was not familiar with.
