History/Background Story : Astra was born the 10th April 2011 in Rye, East Sussex, England. She comes from a Norwegian wizarding family known in their native country for their family business of manufacturing telescopes for wizards. It is therefore not surprising that her parents Jorgen and Ingrid Ingebrigtsen had such a passion for astronomy, to the point of naming their children, Luna first child, Stella 2nd child , Astra 3rd child and Nova last child and only son of the familly. This passion has spared none of the child, including Astra, whose dream is to become a recognized expert in the field.
Astra's first instance of accidental magic was when she was 4 years old. Her parents had a big emergency to deal with about unfilled administrative papersworks and had to go to the Ministry of Magic without further delay. But Astra didn't want them to leave without her so in a flood of frustration, sadness, and fear she used magic accidentally, to slam the doors of their house and stop them from leaving. Her parents finally took her with them in a hurry.
Astra's before coming to hogwarts was home schooled and only learned the basics, since all her family loved astronomy it was rare for Astra to meet someone who was not interested in Astronomy as her family members mostly made friends with people who loved the subject too. Even if she is socially active and has no problem talking to people she did not have anyone she could really call a best friend, she only had friends.
At age 7 Ingebrigtsen got into a broom accident involving several wizards and muggles. It was a group of wizards in their twenties who crashed into the place because they were drunk and were playing "Who change direction the last is a troll".
The accident happened in a suburb so the magical community and the ministry of magic had to act quick so nothing would go noticed, because they had to quickly cure and deal with the muggles's memory there was alot of panic. And because of all that panic a medical error occurred. one of them used a transfiguration spell instead of the spell that repair broken bones on her, and even worst the the spell went wrong and failed.
This caused a dysfunction in the joints of her right leg, thus preventing her from walking properly.
From then on she walks with her crutches with her right leg slightly curled back.

When she came to hogwarts she asked to be sorted in Ravenclaw, however the sorting hat gave her the choice to be sorted to either Slytherin or Gryffindor. Astra choose Gryffindor.
