League of Aspirant Animagi
What type of animal does your character hope to become?
Avery herself currently has no real preference on what form she may take, but does have a vague hope that it'll be a species she's at least somewhat familiar with having grown up in Ireland. (OOC spoiler, she gets her wish in the form of an Irish hare.)
Why that animal?/Why do they want to become an Animagus?
Hares were a relatively common sight for Avery growing up in the countryside, and were always a passively welcome sight. On a more inherently relatable side, they're also relatively gentle and docile on the whole and tend to be a little more skittish than rabbits, but will still bite back when threatened. When she was younger, her parents would call her 'little rabbit' as an ode to her apparent bursts of energy in both the early morning and late night hours.
As for her interest in becoming an Animagus, what kid doesn't dream of being able to transform into an animal once they find out it could actually be possible? She became fascinated with the concept upon first hearing about it, and though likely won't admit to it, has definitely stepped up her game a little on transfiguration homework despite still struggling with some of the concepts.
What do you hope to get from this group?
Avery is definitely interested in learning more about everything that goes into the process and hoping to make some new friends along the way who are looking to accomplish the same! Always looking for character development opportunities as a writer as well!

Keith has a werewolf friend, and Keith doesn't like seeing all the scars that are on them after every full moon. Keith would rather run with his werewolf friend, so the person doesn't get lonely, and scratch themselves. Saw this in a headcanon, idk if it is really like that, so correct me if I'm wrong

Why that animal? Why do they want to become an Animagus?
Rita really wants to communicate with her pet Peanut, a male red-mackerel tabby, and the cat is a gentle and nimble animal that Rita really loves. The idea of transforming into an animal also sounds challenging and interesting, and Rita wants to learn more about different animals and decide which one she would transform into.
What do you hope to get from this group?
More information about different animal species and the process of transforming into other animals, as well as some friends.

A dog, specifically a Irish Wolfhound.
Why that animal?/Why do they want to become an Animagus?
Irish Wolfhound patronus: "Irish Wolfhound. Those with the Irish Wolfhound patronus are very loyal to those they care about. They are the silent type, speaking only to specific individuals and keeping within their comfort zone. They are hesitant in their situations and can seem to be stand-offish or intimidating to some. When threatened they can become very blunt and harsh." this clearly describes my character personality. OOC it's her patronus on pottermore and I thought it would make all sense when I saw the meaning. She would want to become an animagus because she's very curious about all kinds of magic. She would be immediately interested as soon as she reads about it. She is a free spirit and she loves her privacy, so being able to run free to a place of her own would be a very appealing idea. Not to mention being able to protect herself and others in more then one way if needed.
What do you hope to get from this group?
An extra help to help my character develop her animagus skills. She wouldn't mind having another animagus friends and do some mischief with them.

(**If it does have to be a real animal:**) Snow Leopard
Why that animal?/Why do they want to become an Animagus?
Sirin has always had a special connection or attachment to snow leopards. Before her mother's death, the two would often pretend to be snow leopards, and through this bonding with her mother, she learned resilience. Just as snow leopards push through the harsh conditions of the Himalayan mountain range, Sirin must also learn to do the same.
At the zoo the first animal she'd visit would be these leopards. She'd talk with them, in hopes of comforting her pain.
Phoenixes represent daughters in Chinese culture: resilient and bright. Sirin aspires to be that kind of figure.
What do you hope to get from this group?

-Become more proficient at roleplaying

What type of animal does your character hope to become?
Maggie would like to be a bird.
Why that animal?/Why do they want to become an Animagus?
Maggie yearns for belonging anywhere. Whether that be as a human or in the animal realm, she loves feeling like a part of her surroundings. Becoming an Animagus, to her, would mean belonging to more than she currently does and having something special and unique.
She would like to be a bird. In part because it would be funny, her last name being Hawkins and all, and also because she would like to fly without the aid of a broomstick.
Of course, things don't always work out the way you'd like. Maggie, if she ends up becoming one, will be a tanuki--the 'Japanese raccoon dog'. These mammals are jolly and mischievous, but often absent-minded or gullible when it comes to trust. Furthermore, they are full of life and energy and are social animals.
What do you hope to get from this group?
A group of like-minded individuals for my character to communicate with, a group of others she otherwise may never talk to. I'd also like to research animal forms, just in case! Lastly, there is an element of wanting to flesh out and develop my character even more in her journey (as I am still 3 years away from being able to be an Animagus--there is so much time to develop this idea).
I really value when people use violence for me, it's actually one of my love languages.

What type of animal does your character hope to become?
Jay is unsure. He feels like he will become some type of furry mammal, such as a feline or canine, because of his personality. He thinks a Alaskan Malamute fits him the best. They are loyal and affectionate dogs, which he believes himself to be.
Why that animal?/Why do they want to become an Animagus?
He feels like it would be nice to see the world from the eyes of a animal, being about to have a different view on the world. He also has a very strong bond with animals of all shapes and sizes, and they hold a special place in his heart. He hopes to be a canine or feline because he simply thinks that fits him the most.
What do you hope to get from this group?
Jay hopes to get a sense of belonging with people who are also trying to do the same as him. Having some friends that get his mindset and thoughts.

Eye of the Tiger is coming up on its 3 month mark and will be closed soon! If anyone is interested in reopening it at some point, please let me know. In the meantime, I want to keep moving forward and plan for the next field trip.
I'm thinking a ride in the woods would be a good opportunity to not only see some forest dwellers, but bond with horses, tooRight now I'm debating if it should take place this past winter break, though that would be dependent on interested members going home for the holiday. If anyone has ideas or preferences, chime in on the Discord convo, and if you're not on there, owl me!
Characters that have horses are welcome to ride their own, those without will be provided one (free to describe it as whatever breed/color/etc). If there's enough interest, we could even turn the scene into a one-night camping trip.

What type of animal does your character hope to become?
Mahlioz has absolutely no idea. Underwater creatures or winged ones would obviously be tempting - she would love to be able to explore whole new worlds - but she also really likes amphibians. And big cats are awe-inspiring and majestic, so those would also be great, but she's from Scotland, which isn't exactly a famous spot to find them. She has no clue what she wants to be, let alone what she might turn out as.
Why that animal?/Why do they want to become an Animagus?
A whole lot of curiosity, mixed with awe and interest in animals. She's never actually been all that interested in the natural world - that was more her mother's thing, and Mahlioz much preferred staying inside to read. But as an animal, everything would open up to her. She could go places and do things she'd never done before. Most importantly, she could learn things she never could have learned as a human.
On top of that, the only thing better than reading fantasy books was living in one (part of the reason why she loves duelling so much), and what better way to do that than being able to turn into an animal?
What do you hope to get from this group?
IC, Mahlioz wants to know more aspiring animagi, and perhaps even more established animagi, as well as learning what it means to be one and basically just having a support group for when she becomes one. OOC, I'd love to find more animagus writers, to have some more character development for Mahl, and to figure out what on earth her animagus is going to be
