Ayako stormed the Lilac ship with thoughts of plunder and battle in her mind. Every movement was purposeful and efficient, and her breathing was steady. Honestly, she'd expected a bit more fatigue from crossing the waterfall-esque obstacle leading to the ship, but her legs were in quite decent shape from studying Aikido, so she managed to make it through with little issue.

She didn't waste time in pitying the one responsible for defending the flag. They were quite a bit older, and it should have caused little issue for them to stop the assault of younger children. They'd clearly caught all of the attackers in their gaze, so why couldn't they stop them despite being older and stronger? It was disappointing.

Ayako's strike didn't quite hit its target as she aimed to land a blow on the defender, but it didn't need to. They were being overwhelmed plenty by the others that Ayako managed to grab a flag on her own and carry it out.

Now all she needed was to escape and return to her own ship, and the game would soon near its end. So far, her team was in the lead. Whether it was because of superior strategy, superior athletes, or some form of superior teamwork, Ayako aimed to keep them ahead of the rest.

Her eyes settled for her ship as she prepared to capture the flag.

Cielle kind of hated this game. Like, a lot. She had fallen YET AGAIN into the water, and she was over it, to be frank. "How much fucking longer?" she muttered under her breath in Norwegian, looking around for a clock. Cielle would have killed for a toastie and warm clothes right now, but alas there was still a little bit of the game left, and although she was sorely tempted to ditch and just leave, it would hardly be fair to her team. With a sigh, Cielle hauled herself to her feet again and dragged herself out of the water, blinking water droplets from her eyelashes.

She glanced around the area for the members of her team as she ran back to their ship. Maybe they'd had better luck than her. Cielle didn't know what was going on with her today - she was usually a very useful asset when it came to sports and other physical activities. Was this game rigged or something? It was probably rigged. "I hate everything," she would state loudly and dramatically to the group. Despite the words she was saying, she was laughing a little at herself. "Does anyone else hate everything?"

For the final round, five would attempt to grab the shiny golden Jolly Roger. Elizaveta, one of the defending aces, would fall short of the first hurdle. Everett, who had attempted this before, would reach the second hurdle before falling, leaving three with a mad scramble for the top. Katherine and Kamila got close, but just failed to hold on to the rope ladder long enough before falling into the water. That left one lone climber, who grabbed the flag triumphantly and leapt down. Verona Carlito Andreas had managed to retrieve the Golden Jolly Roger.

Four, three from the same team, had all rushed to the Coral Crossbones' ship, but only one would emerge with a flag and without a beating. The rest seemed battered and worn, but at least they would get to rest after this round.

After a shaky round previously, the defender for Lilac Leviathans' seemed to have their moment to shine, successfully defending against everyone who came and making them leave empty-handed.

Well, today was yet another defeat served up on a silver.... no, silver plated....platter. This summer had to be a character building one for him because he could not remember ever losing this much, and he laughed a little to himself. In fact, doing a quick tally in his head, he realized he, or his teams, had lost everything he had participated in during camp. Hmmmmmm. Bad luck or a common denominator? Who knew. And he would not think on it now, but later.

He listened as their Capt. gave them a pep speech before everyone started to go their separate ways. Losses were hard, but Stephen felt like his team had really tried. They were just outmatched. It happens. Stephen walked over to Kim and offered his hand for a shake, if the boy would take it. "Thanks for taking on the unenviable position of Captain. You did a fine job, man. See you around at Hogwarts in the Fall, I hope."

Camp was coming to an end and he needed to start thinking about prepping for the trip home. But that, too, could wait. He had one rather important piece of " business" to take care of, and he looked around their deck quickly. Spying his target, he hurried over to her.

"Kamila! Hi. Tough loss for Team Leviathan, but that is how it goes sometimes. I enjoyed competing with you, even if there was little time to interact in the course of the game. You are a tough competitor and I was impressed with how close you came to seizing the Golden Jolly Roger."

He stopped for a moment, looking in her eyes to try and gauge whether he was possibly annoying her. She was not smiling during the interaction, but she did not look bored or distracted either. He would take that as a good sign. The one thing he knew about this girl already was that she was a competitor, so she was probably dealing with a lot of negative feelings surrounding their loss. Feeling a bit more courage, he continued on with his big ask.

"I was not certain whether I would get to see you again before everyone leaves to head back to their respective schools, but I wanted to ask if you would be open to corresponding with me? Truth be told, I am a little curious about the girl that wanted to have someone swim with a shark during our game of Truth or Dare," and he chuckled. He suddenly felt a furnace blast of heat on his cheeks and quickly looked down as a wave of nervousness hit him. Then he caught hold of himself.

"Be forewarned, though. I speak Russian, but writing it is not at all a thing I can do at this point in time, so if you agree to writing, and you cannot write in English, our efforts will be greatly slowed as translations will need to be considered. I am okay with that," and he paused just a few seconds, looking into her beautiful eyes, and then caught himself and cleared his throat before continuing, "if you are," he finished, feeling like a complete idiot.

Lucky had prepared herself for defeat. She didn't think they had a chance to come back based on the dwindling number of flags that remained in their base. Their only chance was the golden flag but she didn't know if they could actually win. She had to focus on her part of the mission. She hopped up from the deck, conferred with her teammates, and immediately got ready for the final round. Her body was sore, lungs burned from the heavy activity she'd been participating in -- but the thrill of the game was exciting. She didn't regret anything at all.

It was time to go again and once more, Lucky found herself racing toward the Pink Parrots ship. She passed the obstacle easily, her movements fluid after several rounds, and managed to scramble onto the deck. The same defender was there before and Lucky had a feeling she wouldn't escape with a coral flag. Indeed, she was defeated fairly easily. Instead of being frustrated, she did her best to dodge the defender...but failed. She began to hustle back to her ship, her gaze going over to the center as she watched the other players scramble for the flag. She watched two miss the second obstacle and fall into the waiting water.

Lucky nearly lost her balance as she watched Ronnie on the rope ladder. She recognized the color of his trunks and froze as he grasped the rope ladder. ❛ Let's go, Captain! ❜, she yelled out, laughing with excitement as she carefully made her way back to the Crossbones ship. She barely took her eyes from the center platform. Only when she climbed over the bannister of the ship did she look up again -- only to find that he did it! He succeeded! Lucky practically screamed her head off, yelling out as she clapped her hands together. ❛ He did it! Oh my god! ❜ Did they win? She was giddy with excitement while trying to calculate the score. After trailing behind most of the game, victory was likely within their grasp. All of a sudden, Capture the Jolly Roger was the best game in the world.

The game was over, and Kamila's team was in last place. What a disappointment! Losing wasn't something Kamila did. She was about to walk away when she heard a familiar voice call her name.

"Well, thank you. I am sure you did excellent too." Kamila replied to Stephen, "I wish I had gotten it. Our team would have won then." She glanced over to where the Jolly Rodger used to be.

Kamila was about to walk away again when Stephen continued talking, in Russian thankfully. Once his speech was over, he looked like tomato.

"Sure, I will write to you, and I can do it in English, but it might not sound very good." Kamila relied as quickly as possible so Stephen would hopefully calm down. "I hope next year I will actually have a chance to make someone ride a shark, maybe it will be one of the competitions in the hexwizard thing, that would be fun. Anyways, I hope to hear from you soon." She waved goodbye.

While hopefully, that was enough of answer. Kamila walked away. As she left Kamila began to wonder what she would say in her first letter, maybe she would just wait for him to send the first letter and reply to whatever he said.
