Hufflepuff vs Gryffindor Match 2
Logan groaned as she slowly pulled herself up, stretching slightly as she ran her hand over the back of her head. She hurt, everything hurt and she just wanted it all to end. The Hufflepuff assumed she was going to have quite a few bruises after this and planned to leave immediately after this to head to the hospital wing. Luckily it was her last round, on the downside though, she had no idea where her wand was, just that it was somewhere on the dueling stage.

Regina looked much better, her bruises fading. The Hufflepuffs courage to get back up on her feet after all that was remarkable, but that did not raise her chances of winning. Aurelia was not cruel, but Logan needed to know when she lost. Aurelia remained unscathed as she had been in her last duel. Compared to the bruised and battered huffle. Logan stood no chance as time ticked past.

The younger Gryffindor's smirk disappeared immediately at her teammate's reprimanding comment. Her eyes have gone cold as haunting flashback flashed inside her mind.
"I have suffered much worse," She answered ominously. "Why do you think I could overcome the Curse of Bogies through sheer willpower?"
Regina's fingers would curl tighter around her aspen wand as sparks crackled. The Hungarian Horntail core was calling for a vindictive offense, and she lifted the black wood lined with silver curves in an attempt to completely immobilize the Hufflepuff who'd just got back onto her feet. However, it seemed that the slight disarray in her emotional state caused by Aurelia's comment would temporarily disrupt her focus. Regina's lips pulled into a frown as the pathetic white light sizzled out.
She needed control. She couldn't afford another mistake again. Especially not because of the things she'd rather forget.
"No matter. Victory is already at our doorstep."

It didn’t matter that there wasn’t any time left; all Logan could do was retrieve her wand. She would need to find it even if the match ended anyway, so it seemed the most logical thing to do besides straight-out dodging.
Regina & Aurelia had decided that ruthless was the way to go and directed not only an incendio but also a full-body bind curse at Logan. However, the blazing badger had no intention of mimicking her mascot or hitting the ground once more, and she would, with effort, evade both of the spells while trying to scramble for her own wand.
At this moment, Santario swiftly moved from her spot and directed a hand towards each side. “Time is up!” The silvery French accent commanded. “Given the number of hits Hufflepuff has taken throughout the duel, I must declare Gryffindor the winner. Congratulations, Lions.” The Gryffindor supporters would erupt with cheers making Santario raise her voice for the last part. “Logan, while your team lost, you should hold immense pride in your performance today. Please feel free to see me on the sidelines if anyone wants preliminary healing before making their way to the hospital wing.” Santario would make her way off the piste and await any approach or simply watch the remaining duels.
Please feel free lightly godmodding me healing if you so choose to. As a healing sage I am more proficient in healing and often describe San as having a gentle but more attuned touch. She is also a healer intern.

Her crazy Gryffindor duel partner was not provided any more satisfaction of a burning hufflepuff. "That wasn't necessary." She hissed at the lioness, even if her spell had not hit the badger desperately trying to stay alive. They were clearly already winning, for Regina to opt for such an offensive cruel spell was almost revolting. Finally, the Slytherin captain declared, after a long duel, they'd won. Aurelia was unscathed.

"Spare me your little morals," Regina rolled her eyes apathetically. "It would have been a mercy to knock her out instead of binding her to humiliate her, as you have just attempted."
It didn't matter in the end - Gryffindor had emerged victorious. It was her first victory for her first duel. An impressive feat that Regina would not soon forget, and would make sure those who challenge her in the future acknowledge. Granted, she couldn't have done it without an efficient teammate as Aurelia, but the older Lioness was quite irksome with the way she wanted to dictate Regina's choices.
She took one look at where her Housemate was showing comfort to their defeated opponent. Her wand was still warm with magic travelling up her fingertips.
"You were not too terrible, Baird. I commend you for standing on your feet until the end. Send my regards to your fallen partner."
Even if it sounded underhanded, it was the kindest compliment Regina had ever given someone. It was almost scary how unaffected she was acting despite the burning smell of her clothes and the little bruises she bore. The raven-haired witch gave one last glance to Aurelia with unnerving orchid eyes before turning on her heels and left for the Hospital Wing, her singed robes billowing slightly behind her like the wings of a bat.
