Bailey got up from the table, excusing herself. She had finished a poster, so she decided to go do something else. Bailey headed over to the snacks, which were at the Ravenclaw table. She filled a plate with a variety of things, including one of her sugar cookies, a fruit skewer, a piece of the rainbow Swiss roll cake and a few macarons. She also grabbed a glass of lemonade, to wash it down.
Now she turned, looking for someone to go talk to. She saw @Kim Sato, but he was talking to people so she decided to not bother him.
Bailey looked for @Colin McCoire. He had said hello earlier, but left quickly before Bailey could say anything to him.
Bailey spotted @AngelFyre McCubbin talking to @Harper Jordan; she also saw @Piérre Marchonné causing mischief and sparking joy as usual. Another person bailey spotted was the third year Prefect of Slytherin, @Cassandra Ironwoods. Bailey knew her from the climbing event Cass had put on.
Then bailey spotted someone she didn’t know going over to Colin. She decided to go say hello to Colin, and see if she could be introduced to his friend.
Bailey walked over to Colin and said “Hey Colin! Sorry I didn’t stop and talk more earlier. It’s great to see you here!”

Marina continued to fold the paper cranes one after another. The pile next to her continued to grow. Marina stopped and counted her cranes. She had 42 which Marina thought would be enough. So, she found some more of the clear string and added all of the cranes to their strings. Now to put her design together. Marina selected three wooden dowels and some glue off the table and glued the dowels together.
Marina wished that there was hot glue here. Although hot glue was a muggle thing, she thought it was a lot easier and a lot less time consuming to work with than the slow drying glue that was here. Alas the slow drying glue was all that was here. Marina wished she had glued the dowels together before she had stated on her paper cranes but nonetheless Marina was going to make the most of time, she would spend waiting for the glue to dry.
Marina abandoned her project. She hoped that no one would ruin it while she was gone. Marina went over to the Ravenclaw table. Normally Marina did not venture out to the tables that were not of her own house but today it seemed like tables did not apply to houses.
Marina saw another student who she thought was likely a year older than herself. Marina needed more friends at Hogwarts, and she thought it might be nice to have someone to talk to at this errand. So, Marina approached the other student and introduced herself. "Hello. I am Marina. Could I join you and your friends?"

Henry didn't have practice for the dueling team that day and once classes were finished, he found his best friend and suggested a day in the library. Since their conversation that one day on animagus transformations, the teen promised the girl that he'll help her become one during their schooling. He thought some research could provide useful and he also didn't want to go to the library alone.... the teen couldn't think of a better person to ask to join him in the library then Logan Baird. His best friend. The girl who felt as much as a sister to him than his actual twin.... his twin who he haven't seen in well over a year.
The teen would search the library, fingers running over the spines of books. Collecting them in his hands, forming a pile that he would scatter on their table. Loki seated in a chair close to them, with amber eyes watching the pair. Watching closely.
The time faded away... minutes turned to hours... the notebook that Henry brought now filled with notes and ingredients that is needed for becoming a animagus. The other students started to file from the area taking their chatter and laughter with them, whsipers of an errand going on in the great hall caught his ear. Whispers of pride month rolling on in June also cuaght his ear.
Pride is one topic the teen isn't that familiar with. He didn't have access to electronics before Hogwarts, finding most of his information within books... books that didn't speak much on gender and sexuality but rather on science or creatures. He remembered seeing a few flyers back in Liverpool during June, showing a array of colors and rainbows to speak of pride parades. Never fully understanding what thay meant... since starting hogwarts, he learned of differing genders and sexualities but still not a expert on the matter. Still with a mind reeling with questions.
The teen would look up from his reading, smiling at Logan as he spoke"want to take a break?" Not realizing how long they have been there in the library for. The teen would close his book, setting his notebook and pen within a inner pocket of his jacket as he smiled at Logan and spoke"we can discussion the process and plan for your animagus transformation tomorrow after classes so we can eat now if you want?" The teen would wait for her response before moving to set the books back in their proper places then meeting Logan at the library entrance, walking from the room with her.
Walking through the corriors, the teen would keep a pace besides Logan walking toward the hall when he cuaght his name followed by some words ahead. He recognized the words to belong to the voice of Cash Ironwoods and figured he can bother with them later about it.... probably back in the common room.
Apporching the hall, the noise found his ears then the bright colors covered his vision. The teen shot Logan a smole and jumped behind her, holding onto her shoulders as he spoke"the colors... the noise... it's blinding me... I'm melting..." bits of laughter escaped from his mouth as hus orange feline bounded ahead, running toward the hall and through the doors and out of the pair's sight.
Holding Logan in front of him, wrapping his arms around her shoulders as he spoke"protect me from socializing with others with your prefect powers... please Robin..." squeezing her a bit as his voice sounded dramatic to add to the effect, fading away to a smile as he spoke" I'll go if you do, deal?"
The teen would move to her side, holding only one arm around her shoulders as he walked into the hall. Slightly pullimg on his best friend to follow. His eyes caught the scene, bright colors and glitter layered the room with the smell of food... sweets... his eyes found his orange feline walking down the hall and toward a trio.
Watching as Loki rubbed aginest the legs of a girl, June Selwyn and then Avery Chen. The feline kept his distance from Kim, watching him carefully as if he didn't trust the boy as he rubbed aginest the two slytherin's legs. Giving short meows at them for attention.
Henry smiled as he watched Avery clean glitter off on the girl, he always thought the first year is more social than him... turning back toward Logan as he spoke"where to first?" His eyes caught the food table, squeezing Logan's shoulders as he continued"food?" The teen wouldn't have normally ate but he skipped dinner last night and breakfast that morning. His stomach turned... hunger pain starting to set in...
The teen find seats for them at the end hufflepuff table... a bit away from the others, seeing the supplies. The teen would take a few parchment papers and a few color pens. He wasn't doing ome for himself but friends... taking on sheet, the teen drew a border of an rainbow then carefully drew a outline of a feline in black. Specifically of Sherlock. Taking the color pens, he filled the drawing in with color before pushing it toward Logan with a smile.
Starting work on the next parchment paper, the teen decided to csrefully outline a rose in black pen then fill it in with a rainbow of colors. Writing in black below the flower 'be who you choose to be and not who others choose' he thought that fit but wasn't sure as he tapped Logan in the shoulder with his as he spoke"does this go with pride?" He didn't have to explain his lack of knowledge of the month to her... the teen would wait for her thoughts when he saw two familiar faces. Elsian Cox with Willow Anderson.
A playfully smile as he spoke"look, it's Elsi. Don't you fancy him or was that Willow?" specks of laughter escaped as he eyed the pair, smiling at Elsi. A part of him wished to hear his words... imagining that their probably witty and comical at the same time.

ㅤ──────────────────────| ── | She didn't quite know what to do with her anxiousness. Her hands fidgeted, interlocking with one another before loosening -- almost disgusted by the fact that she seemed to be afraid. Lucinia stood outside the Great Hall, pacing back and forth across the entryway. It felt like entering was forbidden. Like she couldn't go in without fully understanding what it all meant. But the pull to step across the threshold was strong. She could hear the other students -- laughing and talking. Completely at ease with themselves and one another. How badly she wanted to be one of them. But she wasn't sure. How could she be? She was only thirteen! How was she expected to have all the answers? Stuff like this was supposed to be complicated...right? Lucky had never had a boyfriend -- something she had never been interested in before getting to Hogwarts. But in the two years, she'd been at Hogwarts, she had crushes on three different people. One of them was a girl. It shocked her.
She knew what a crush was. Her heart raced, her mind went blank, and she gave such a stupid little snort of laughter that it was embarrassing. She walked out of her way around the school grounds hoping for just a glimpse of them. She scribbled meaningless little scraps of poetry about the object of her affection and then quickly ripped it into teeny tiny pieces. No one could know her secrets and never would considering she'd only spoken to one of her crushes for a brief five minutes. Time marched on and so much about who she was slowly beginning to change. Or maybe she was starting to figure it all out. Lucky wasn't ruled by what people perceived her to be. But suddenly, she wondered all too much about what it would be like if people even noticed her. For all intents and purposes, she was a ghost -- and liked it that way. But the loneliness was quite...heavy sometimes. Still -- she could only worry about one thing at a time. First, she'd walk into the Great Hall. Then she'd deal with what happened then. Friends would feature later on the list. For now, all she had to do was put one foot in front of the other. Did she have it all figured out? No. Of course not. But she had to start somewhere. Lucky put one foot in front of the other, her worn but trustworthy Chuck Taylors leading the way -- walking her into the unknown. She kept her head down, gaze to the stone floor as she moved further and further inside. The volume from the students rose as Lucky enclosed herself into the Great Hall with them all. The tiny brunette took a deep breath before lifting her head -- and getting a good look around. It was like a rainbow puked all over the place. Brightly colored decorations hung in the sky, tables full of activity materials, and tons of snacks. The puke extended to the students. Bright colors covered clothing and accessories. Lucky winced, the color of the space almost overwhelming. Her sky blue spaghetti strap tee and blue jeans made her seem almost underdressed. The more she looked around, the more she adjusted. No one was staring at her like she didn't belong. In fact, some students even gave her a wave. They were kids she didn't know but Lucky unconsciously waved back, lifting her hand and wiggling her fingers in an unsure manner -- as if she had never waved at anyone before. Some brushed past her, eager to get where they were going. Lucky realized she was standing in the middle of the floor then so she reluctantly kept moving. Her feet carried her to another table, curiosity making her dip her head to gaze at the posters and crafts being sculpted by other students. There were so many different colors but she knew exactly which fit her. Her personal idol -- Jane Wiedlin -- was bisexual. A woman she felt was a superhero and could take on the world. Lucky read everything she could about The Go-Go's and Jane mentioned bisexuality a few times. Crushes on boys and girls. That's how Lucky felt sometimes. It was a fleeting realization. One that scared her at first. She had so many feelings, it was hard sorting through them. It was just another unfamiliar and complicated thing she had to wrestle with. But standing in the Great Hall, watching other people her age paint beautiful flags and laugh with each other...it didn't seem so complicated anymore. It just was. Maybe she'd evolve with age. Maybe she'd figure even more out about herself and have a different classification but for now -- Lucky felt that this fit. And finding something that fit made her feel so good that she smiled. She glanced around the room again, noting once more that no one bothered her. No one asked her a million questions about how she felt or what she was doing there. No one judged or assessed her movements. Everyone seemed happy and supportive. She felt a burst of pride (pun intended) and picked up a poster. She knew exactly where it would go over her bed. ────────────────────── ㅤ ㅤ──────────────────────

"I love these," Sophia gestured at their posters. Pax grinned in return. "Thanks! I'm making posters for a bunch of differet genders and sexualities, and then I'll hand them out to people as they leave the Great Hall, and to other students throughout the month! If there's any spares, I'll put them up around the school."
When Colin returned, he brought with him two others. Another Slytherin that Pax hadn't encountered before, as well a girl they recognised, Bailey. With a friendly smil, Pax greeted them both. "Hi, Bailey. And hi, unknown Slytherin! I'm Pax Zhang, resident demigirl! My pronouns are they/she, as written on my little hat." They pointed at the origami on their head. Looking own at the posters they had already made, they decided that now was a great time begin handing them out. Shuffling the pile, they handed over a poster each to Bailey a poster about non-binary and the newcomer Slytherin a poster about pansexual. "Happy Pride!"
"So, what do you think of the Great Hall and how it looks? I love the decorations myself," they asked, turning to Sophia. "Streamers, and banners and anything colorful is just absolutely brilliant in my opinion."
Stretching, seeing they were pretty much done, they decided to take grab some food. "I'm going to go and grab some snacks," they told Sophia. "Is there anything you'd like in particular? You know what, just tell me your favourite sweets and cakes, and I'll see if I can grab them for you."
Grabbing a handful of posters, they headed over to the snack table, where they grabbed the snacks Sophia had requested whilst handing out some of the posters, then deposited them at the table with Sophia. "I'm going to hand some of these out now. Do you want to come with?"
Whether Sophia agreed or chose to stay, Pax began to move around the room, handing out the posters whilst wishing everyone a Happy Pride!Feel free to say that Pax has handed you a poster (the gender or sexuality can be of your choosing)! They are free for brief interactions!Reducio

Colin was by now in overload mode --- so many people had come to the hall to draw rainbows all over everything, eat treats and learn to understand their friends better --- and he found himself listening to friends' conversations and looking around at all the decorations more than anything else! Pax had explained what was going on and he had caught Sophia sneaking around in the most obvious red cape anyone had ever seen; and he had made a nice poster depicting his friends on it. They both expressed their appreciation for his artwork and he made several other posters focusing on his friendships with fellow students of all persuasions.
His attention quickly gravitated between two separate scenes. First, a ways along the table, was a fellow Slytherin who seemed to be carrying the contents of the entire sweets table plus a whole mountain of paper and supplies. He didn't really know the boy, but Colin recognised the voice of Avery Chen. He knew that he was a fellow Slytherin and that he also played the fiddle. Before anyone could say or do anything, the glitter he was carrying slid off his heap of art supplies and tipped all over some girl --- he vaguely recognised her as a fellow Slytherin, maybe June or Jin. He couldn't help but laugh with merriment as June hollered at Avery for dumping everything all over her! "Blimey, watch where you go with that stuff, would you?"
While Avery and June were dealing with that disaster, his attention was drawn back to Kim and Ridge and a Hufflepuff girl named Faye. Colin wondered what was up with Kim and that Ridge girl: for the longest while, he thought Kim liked Sophia, and she really seemed to like him. He even thought they going to kiss once! Kim had never mentioned either of these other girls, and then he wondered if he didn't like one of them.
He cocked his head as Ridge reacted to Faye's compliment, saying that she was indeed a 'remarkable person'. "Whoa," he said; "remarkable is it, eh!?" Kim spoke about getting Ridge to like sweets, but she didn't seem to want anything to do with them.
"Spare me. I am not looking forward to have my teeth rot out from consuming an unhealthy amounts of sweets," she said.
"Sour face is more like it, Kim!" Colin snorted and rolled his eyes as she reacted so negatively. "Nope, nothing in common there!" he said, since one thing he knew for certain about Kim was that he loved sweets, candies, pastries --- literally anything with more than a molecule of sugar in it! She seemed to be much more interested in Faye than she was in Kim. He shrugged. "Perhaps she likes Faye and not Kim!"
As Kim continued his treatise on sweets with Ridge and Faye, and then Avery, he'd called out to the Hufflepuff girl who had been putting up the decorations. "Badger Girl is funny, but this Hufflepuff has a name, y'know? In case you move on from the badger, my name's Rosie!" she said. She came over and talked with Colin for a minute about his art before whirling off to talk with others. He laughed to her so happy!
Colin felt a presence nearby. It was someone familiar, someone quiet. He smiled. Leon sat down next to him and very quietly said "Hi." He looked a little uncomfortable being around so many people, but Colin was glad his friend came over to be with him.
"Hey Leon!" he said, nudging him in the ribs. "Glad you came over. Um. Hey! Girls!" He nodded towards Sophia and Pax. "This is Leon! He's my housemate --- er --- obviously! Leon, that's Sophia, or Gingersnaps, because of her red hair. She's Ravenclaw and more my sister, really!" he said as he smiled at Sophia. "And that's Pax, a Gryff. I call her Hunter and she's my demisister."
He turned towards Leon excitedly: "They're both cool! Actually, Hunter and I fought the first time we met! She's brilliant: I called her a funny name and threatened my girlf--- er" Colin blushed intensely as a smile grew across his face "---um, Jarael, at least I hope she'll be my girl friend! And then we tried some spells on each other and then she took off running and I chased after her. She tried hiding, but I sniffed her out, and then she sliced my neck, and it was bleeding a bit, but we got it all sorted and now we're friends!"
"And then we got back to where Sophia was --- OWWW!!" Colin looked around to see what had struck his head! He blinked, looking at Sophia: "Soph! Did you bonk me --- oh! Look at that!" Colin noticed the curious plastic container that had bonked him now rolled to a stop dead center, between the two groups of friends, in the middle of the table. "Whoa! Where did that come from?" He looked over towards Kim and Faye and Ridge --- not likely candidates. Kim wouldn't throw something at him and Ridge seemed too stuck up to even consider a prank. "A prank!? Could it be? Where's Quinn? I know she's here, Leon! I saw her earli---!"
Colin heard it, just barely audible, a whisper from the other way along the table. "Flipendo!"
"Watch out!" Colin cried and he ducked, taking Leon with him!
Colin let Leon go and sat up just in time to see that the explosive container had blasted its huesome contents in every direction! Streamers and globs of paint in all eight colours of the rainbow not to mention enough glitter to spangle the entire floor of the Great Hall shot up like a volcano and were now cascading back down all over everyone and everything at the Hufflepuff table.BANG!!
"WICKED!!!" Colin cried! "It's like we're inside a whole rainbow!" He looked around for the merry culprit and saw a boy with the jolliest laugh ever, kicking his feet and hooting with laughter! Colin couldn't help but join in. "Leon! Your hair is all green and purple and blue now! And Sparkly!! And --- oh! So is mine!"
He stood up on the bench again and shook himself like a dog! He managed to shake quite a lot of the glitter out, but the gobs of paint and streamers would require some effort in the bath later!
Colin sat back down as he saw a silvery grey cat saunter towards them. "Mrraw! Hello kitty!" Looking back at Leon he said: "Whoa, this is much more colourful than I was expecting! It's rainbows inside rainbows!"

Hunger was never a great feeling. The sound of her stomach screaming and begging for something to process was a bit embarrassing, especially in a really quiet room where everyone could hear even the quietest noise. The good thing was she was in her dorm, laying in her bed with her lovely Lucifur. Saturday was a lazy day, a rest day as it should be. If only a magical spell to turn all of the other days to Saturday existed, she would use it for the sake of being lazy everyday. But you cannot properly cook in your dorm. Sure a cauldron would be a good substitute for pots and pans, which she used once to make instant noodles. But remembering the fact that it probably had the residue of whatever ingredients she used in potion class, it shouldn’t be used to cook actual food. Wouldn’t be an issue if she had another cauldron to be used for midnight tummy business. As for that day, she had to partake in a long journey to get food. To the great hall she went, searching for one important thing. Food
Aurora didn’t know what the event was for at first. All she knew was there was something happening in the great hall and it was very colourful so she was pretty much sold. One look, that was all it took to make her run back to her dorm and get her trunk filled with stuff. She had a couple of things inside of the mysterious trunk. Art and craft materials, paints, paint brushes, dried flowers, some rocks, small tree branches, but also some of her clothes. Not forgetting the unicorn headbands she made out of paper the other nights. She made not one, but four headbands, originally for backup if the first one, knock on wood, broken beyond repair. And then she skedaddled back to the great hall with all of the stuff she tried to bring in one go.
It was quite a ride. The girl wasn’t strong enough, probably causing her whole body to ache the next morning, but at last, she arrived safely with her trunk and her bandanas. Then a voice called for her name. It was Cash, the slytherin beater and the one who gave her chocolates in the maze. The same person who saw her peed her skirt due to that cursed doll. Somehow something like that caused a bond to form, at least from Aurora’s perspective. “HI!” She waved at them as they threw an enquiry about the content of her trunk. “SO MUCH THINGS I AM EXCITED!” Of course she was excited. Rainbow was and always will be her cup of tea. She then proceeded to grab the slytherin’s hand and run towards the great hall in her tippity toes.
“Not sure what’s going on there, but it’s AWESOME!” That was her explanation that she hoped would be enough to convince the older student to follow her. Aurora secretly really wished Cash would be okay and come to the event since it would make it a better experience if she were spending it with someone she knew, unlike most events she attended where she had to do things on her own. Either it went okay or a total disaster. Oh wait, the unicorn bandana. As if she just had a eureka moment, the light switched on in her brain. She stopped her track and quickly gave cash the handmade headwear, “This one's for you, this one's for me, now let’s go!” Then she realised cash carried something that looked like and probably was a guitar. A curiosity peaked through. Were they in a band or something? She had always wanted to learn how to play music but she felt like it was not in her genes. Plus, the girl felt like it wasn’t something that she liked to do. A little weird fact is that Aurora always yawned whenever she tried to play any instrument. But wait, was that a guitar or something else? Perhaps it was a backpack in a guitar shape, pretty creative for whoever invented it. She didn’t want to sound dumb by questioning the guitar existence so she put the questions aside for now.
Ah, so this was a celebration for pride month. She was no stranger to pride month as her step aunt was part of the community, but there were so many things that she didn’t know, particularly the history. For as long as she lived, she felt like she was always attracted to boys, particularly with white hairs, again, except grandpas. Nicholas was the exception since he clearly has dark hair. But not everyone likes what she likes and that’s perfectly fine. Perfectly perfect, actually. It would be great if Nicholas’ fanbase remained small with only Aurora as the leader slash member. She then followed Cash and took some paints in all colours. The more she has the better, so she wouldn’t have to walk back and forth every time she needs new shades later on. One thing in her mind was a unicorn face on the centre of the board with a big rainbow heart underneath it. That was the plan. But she never stuck to the plan. Maybe a zine would be a great idea. She could definitely create a journey of a unicorn to find love.
Looking at her left (or right, idk sorry hahah), Cash was already doing their own thing. They used pink, yellow, and blue. Similar to what the new Astronomy professor wore as a shirt. Were those colours have some meanings that she didn’t know about? Her knowledge about sexuality was very limited, and being Aurora, she was very curious. “Why does that professor that I forgot the name’s shirt have a different colour than rainbow? Does it have a meaning or something?”

After she took the tissues from Avery, June blew her nose. Hard. And several times. She looked in the tissue before crumpling it up and shoving it in her pocket. It was full of glitter bogies. Disgusting.
Ugh, and on her face? June's face flushed with embarrassment. "Maybe some do makeup with glitter, but I don't. Because it gets-" June felt a piece of glitter in her eye. She wiped off her finger as best she could before trying to fish it out. "Everywhere." Aha, gotcha. She blinked a few times, ensuring there weren't any more sparkly needles in her eye. It appeared not.
"Thanks for the help, June."
June stopped for a moment, having just grabbed the last paper off the ground. How did he know her name? She stood up slowly, placing the pile of papers on the table next to the boy's plate of food. Did Maggie talk about her? What had she said? Or, perhaps... Did this boy recognize June simply by recognizing her? Had she finally achieved some form of status beyond "blonde first-year with plaits"?
"No problem..." June trailed off, hoping the name would come to her mind-sentence. It didn't. Perhaps if June actually paid more attention to the names of her classmates, she would have had more interactions with them this year. Oh well, it was a bit too late for that now. Another thing to do next year, she supposed.
June felt something rub against her legs for a moment. She jumped a bit, startled, before looking down and seeing a beautiful ginger cat meowing for attention. "Hello there, kitty," June cooed, reaching down for a moment to pet the cat between the ears. Cute little thing.
June stood upright and turned back to the table, to her pile of flowers on the table. There were quite a few, a lot of people were making them, and very few were helping hang them up. But he was asking for her help, which no one at Hogwarts had really done so yet. It did make her feel important...
"Thank you very much! The first few folds can be a bit hard to get, but when you get the hang of it, it's quite fun." June smiled, wiping some glitter off of her place at the table before sitting back down. "Sure, I'd love to help." June grabbed some more paper and started demonstrating the folds, slowly at first, watching to see if the boy would follow along or watch her finish the piece fist.
It was awfully quiet between the two for a moment. June felt she needed to break the silence with something, anything. Her eyes once again fell on the boy's instrument case. "Is that a viola case there? I love the sound of stringed instruments, I wish I knew how to play one."WC: 482

Hilda and Bea had been colouring for a while now. Bea herself had coloured multiple sheets of parchment and made some signs, although what she really wanted to create were the rainbow flowers. She'd fallen in love with them when she had first come into the Great Hall. She scanned the table looking for sheets of paper, grabbing multiples for herself and Hilda, since it was really the two of them left. Bailey had excused herself earlier, engaging with other friends in the room. Quinn was there still at the table, although she seemed kind of quiet. That was alright. I'm sure Hilda and I are okay with chatting amongst ourselves.
She quickly excused herself, smiling at the two girls, before grabbing a few of the snacks still left at her House table. Not much was left, although she wasn't surprised since there were quite a few students as well as adults in the room. Turning on her foot, biscuits and cakes in hands, she walked back to her spot with the other girls. "Snack time! For us all." She gestured to the food she had placed delicately in the middle of the table. Grabbing a lemon biscuit for herself, she sat, ready to cut up the paper for her own rainbow flower.

She gestured to the food she had placed delicately in the middle of the table. Grabbing a lemon biscuit for herself, she sat, ready to cut up the paper for her own rainbow flower.

Add A Little Bit Of... Spice
All of my Deliciously Unfortunate Victims...
But mostly @Kim Sato , @Colin McCoire, & @Leon DeLucaHouse Colours: GryffindorPiérre continued to snicker as he watched the fallout of his little show of ingenious comedy. Some of the students seemed too shocked to move, others tried to protect their friends, and still others seemed to revel in the chaos that had been made. Despite himself, he bit his lower lip and swayed back and forth in an almost serpentine fashion, as if unable to sit idly by and not continue to cause more havoc. This laughter, the joy... It was something that caused the sometimes aloof third year to feel bright of heart again, his core warming with the very thought of maybe having the ability to do this for all times.
Could he do something like that? Be an entertainer permanently with or without magic? Idly dipping his fingers in purple, green, and pink paint that he had spilled during the creation of his first paint bomb and then wildly slashing his fingers across nearby papers without looking at where he put his hands. Some cleaned themselves up quickly with a simple cleaning spell, and some seemed content to point and laugh at one another's misfortunes.
Green eyes watched as Figaro perked at the scotch boy's call. The Bengal looked back at Pierre as if to ask if he could draw close to the messy boy. A small tip of the boy's head permitted this desire, and with a fast trot Figaro went purring across the gap towards the scotch with the blonde and paint-spattered hair and his fellow whom he had referred to easier as "dormmate".
Piérre watched his kitten sit before the both of them with half-closed eyes, the Bengal gingerly sniffing the kilted Slytherin's extended fingers before pressing its entire face into his hand. Piérre snorted quietly and shook his head. His cat was more like a dog than a feline at most times. Came in handy when he had to exercise the kitten, but goodness did Figaro like doting himself on total strangers, that bold silver bengal.
So... What to do next?
Piérre gazed at the paint on his fingers, turning his hand as he observed the glossy art at his fingertips. Despite himself, a part of himself couldn't help but see those purple, pinks, and green as crimson that stuck between his fingers and both smelled and tasted of iron. That was a reality he had never dreamed nor hoped for when he had been the same age as several of the students in this very room with him.
His smile turned itself into a frown as he averted his eyes and felt cold nibble away at the warmth that had used to be in his chest. He had made so many mistakes. Driven so many wedges and caused so many problems between himself and any other person that he had dared inquire or ask questions about. Had his darkest days been before now?
Had they come sooner than then?
This year had been quiet... Peaceful, almost.
Was that why he was so incessant and persistent with his pranks and teases? Was this his expression of boredom?
It was likely. And so, if that was the case, what of the Jester's purpose? If not to be a thorn in the side of all those who interfaced with him, a backwards way of defending those who were threatened by the same things as Piérre himself, then what purpose had the Jester have to rear his head at all?
Because it was the only thing that the boy had left that was truly his; an identity. A name.
Marchonné belonged to an arse named Romeo, not just to the boy Piérre. His wand was also not special. It had an identical twin. All the boy had was a face, a name, a masque, and ergo... A mission and a future that was just bright and tangible enough to be grasped with hands that were desperate yet persistent.
He wanted that future. More than anything else. It was his future, and nobody else's.
So, when Piérre placed both hands, palm down, into the pool of paint that he had lightly blended to give it a chromatic swirl, he ran his fingers down his face and cheeks to paint himself purple, green, blue, yellow, pink, black, brown, and orange.
With an immense smile, Piérre began to creep up on his next victim; the boy who was a bit preoccupied with the wellbeing of one of the girls he had come here with (Kim S.).
Perhaps he would be just distracted enough to miss the green-haired boy slinking alongside the table's edges, hands dripping with paint behind his back as he crept up from behind with cheshire grin and almost glowing green eyes bright with that sweet anticipation.
When he got close enough... He would strike with messy hands, intending to blindly paint the boy's face from behind.
Jesters do oft prove prophets. 𓀚
