Astoria's education was rather strange. First of all, it was her house elf, Kukka, who supervised most of her days. Until she was seven, Alice and James Swan were extremly kind to Astoria and indulged her almost every wish. By the time she was 6, she already visited a large part of the world, without getting close to muggles. Family, friends of the family, unknown purebloods who agreed to host them for a few days, the Swans had travelled the world from coast to coast.
It was during one of these trips that Astoria had her first experience of magic. She had just celebrated her fifth birthday with na American cousin who lived near the Grand Canyon. It was a nice day ans the sun wassetting. Astoria, her cousin and their parents where walking home. Astoria's cousin dragged the girl towards the ravine. The two children did not listen to their parents, so magical was the moment. But the drama happened, and Astoria fell off the cilff with a scream. The adults ran over ans saw Astoria sliding down an invisible slide and falling gently into the water. Relived and delighted, Alice Swan apparated near her daughter and re-apparated with her next to the little group.
But the year Astoria turned seven, the couple decided that their daugther was no longer a little girl and that they could be taugher with her. Between her seventh birthday and Hogwarts, trips diminished to occasionnal trips. Astoria spent four year in a beautifully luxurious manor with extremely demanding and cold parents - at least this is what she thought, because her parents where proud of her.
Because of these four years, Astoria became the proud, ambitious and detemined girl who borded the Hogwarts Express on September 1^st 2020. A girl who openly hated Muggles, who didn't really cared about half-bloods, but who was extremely loyal and quite friendly to the wizards of big families.

Astoria is quite tall - one metre seventy-two - and of average weight. She has long, thick black hair and large grey eyes. She always stands up straight and with her head held high, to make a statement as the person she is. Astoria has a dignified and confident walk and a voice that is calm, composed but also harsh and cold at times.
Astoria is not shy at all. If she prefers to spend time by herself and doesn't really like to socialise, it's because she's an introvert. She prefers to spend time with herself. But because of her upbringing, she also spends a lot of time degrading the Muggleborns. All her life she has been told that they are stupid and uninteresting. So she didn't understand why they were allowed to use magic.
