The champion selection. Henry held mix emotions on the upcoming tournament, he read the papers and books from the last tournament. Someone had lost their life and others left injured, the idea sounded reckless to the lad as he eyed the goblet. His mind hoping that none of his friends who foolishly placed their name in will be the champion, a look toward Adlai. A soft smile as his heart eased a little when he heard that she didn't enter. Why did that make him relax? Adlai was a friend but still barley knew each other.... strange.
"I didn't enter either, the stories of the last tournament was enough to stray me away," Henry replied and not wanting Logan to feel left out, the lad playfully jabbed her side as he spoke"what about you, Robin? Did you fancy yourself the glory and enter?" A smile toward the girl as his eyes flicker back toward the champions. The announcement. Only slightly familiar names, none of those he cares for.
With the champions came the lighting of the effigy if Henry remembered correctly, he thought the sight might be one to behold. Listening to Adlai, the nodded then heard her next few words as he quickly flustered, "I asked you here and you agreed to come, it's only fair I uphold my promise of giving you a dance," a soft smile on his lips as he held his hand out for Adlai.
"Shall we," Henry spoke softly with a soft smile and hand held put toward Adlai. His eyes flickered towsrd Logan as he eyed her, softly nudging her shoulder and mouthing the words "join us" to his best friend. The lad would wait for the two responses but then would find himself distracted by Loki who would let out a loud yowl and take off for the other side of the hall.
Henry would follow his feline as he called, "Loki! Loki come back here!" No reponse or sight of his beloved feline. The teen reductly turned back toward Adlai and Logan as he spoke"I have to get him, it will only be a minute and then I'll be back," a nod toward each, "then I promise you a dance Adlai and you as well Robin, " a soft smile toward both then the teen turned on his heel and took off following his feline.
Squeezing through groups and going pass chaos following his feline across the room, the teen didn't want to leave Adlai nor Logan. He was enjoying himself at the dance with the two, looking forward to a dance with them even if he isn't the best at it himself. Coming into a clearing as he suddenly stopped in front of a group of foreign students speaking russian... Henry assumed they were durmstrang.
Eyes following each person of the group then they found Loki rubbing on the legs of a frozen in time Selim Faust? The teen took a breath, attempting to form thoughts about the situation as he followed his eyes toward the durmstrang girl then a pale skinned boy about to hex Howard White. The hogwarts champion. Then the next two, each on the large side which questioned Henry if the two were truly teens... as they appeared to be small giants.
Coming to the conclusion that durmstrangs were the ones who caused the trouble, they gave the third year of the impression of unruly troublemakers. Stepping closer to Selim and Loki, the dorm mate might not be Henry's favorite and he didn't really care for him but he couldn't watch him suffer or injured. Selim is his dorm mate and fellow healing intern after all.
The teen slipped his wand out, aimed it for the fellow third year as he looked him over for any spots of blood or broken bones as he muttered, "Finite incantatum."

Alec had brought Rose to clearing in the Great Hall a space to dance. However she seemed unsure about it. “It's okay, don't worry- the second you start doubting yourself the more mistakes you'll make,” Alec spoke, he was attempting to be reassuring. He didn't know if those were the right words, but they felt as if they had fallen right into place. His eyes focused on hers, “Can you waltz?” She couldn't, and he nodded, “There's a bit to remember, but waltzing flows naturally, it's easier than dodging a spell. Just... Follow my lead,” Alec was facing opposite of Rose, he let go of her hand when he'd lead her to the open space, the third-year now reached out again with his left hand and held onto her right. Alec's right hand moved to her shoulder blade. “Your left hand goes on my shoulder,” It was a matter of getting into the right position, and as long as Rose didn't seem uncomfortable, he continued. “The waltz moves at a three count tempo. Each step I speak of should only take just as long as the one before or after it.” When he'd begun to teach himself piano it helped him understand music theory, which in turn helped him with this. The concepts were easier to grasp. He hoped he didn't sound like he was speaking nonsense, he didn't know how else to explain it. At least the instructions had less of a chance of being misunderstood.
Speaking of the instructions, “one, my left foot takes a step forward, and your right foot takes a step back,” as he spoke, he took a step forward and let Rose follow along. “Two, your left foot and my right foot take a step to the side.” Alec took a step to the side with his right foot. “Three, your right foot moves to meet your left foot, my left moves to meet my right.” Alec brought left foot next to his right. Alec had been speaking of where he stepped the first time around for her to get a better hang of it. “Now, your left foot leads this time. One, left foot forward,” Alec took a step back with his right foot. “Two, right foot to the side,” Alec left foot took a step to the side, “three, your left foot to your right.” Alec's right foot move to meet his left, and as he saw Rose do her part he continued. His left foot took a step forward while hers took a step back, a step to the side, and his feet met together. They continued and he didn't bother to recount the movements in his heads. “What we're doing is called the box step. I think it's one of the most formative pieces of the waltz.”
“We can keep it at the box step. There's a lack of open space, and the waltz is the type of ballroom dance that's brings you around the room.” There was also no reason to overdo it. They were at a simple pace with easy-to-mind repetitive movements. It meant they didn't have to focus on dancing, and were free to talk. He was choosing to use his free to talk to talk about dancing... “If your up for it, I would be willing to teach you the rest of the waltz another time,” Alec offered. Alec had forgotten how much he enjoyed ballroom dancing. It wasn't often he found himself in the position to be doing it. Or in the environment he'd want to do it in, he'd never been a fan of dancing at those strange balls his parents used to drag him too. The air of the room, and the looks and stares of people, everybody was so uptight. Despite the fact that dancing was supposed to be playing an important role, many people clung to the sides. A place where he would have preferred to stay as well.
“How are you feeling?” The question was vague, he was not only trying to check on her, and make sure she didn't feel dizzy from going around in the box step as many times as they had but also offering her more of a chance to talk. He'd been doing a little of the talking earlier because he'd been explaining the boxstep...
They would talk for a while more and minutes seemed to fade into nothingness. Alec was surprised when he realized how much time had passed. They were already getting to announcing names from the goblet, and as the headmaster of illvermorny called everybody to attention, Alec's dancing slowed and stopped. His arms fell to his sides, and he turned to pay attention.
----
Alec watched the first name be pulled from the goblet, and clapped for Howard White. Alec didn't know much about him, presumably though he'd do Hogwarts proud, he had too. Nobody could let themselves get picked from the goblet and fail miserably. Everybody who put their name into the goblet were either incredibly stupid, incredibly brave, or incredibly driven. Someone with something to prove. Alec wondered which one White was.
Beauxbatons was next, followed by Durmstrang, then Koldovstoretz. Angélique de Clairmont, Yefim Rumyantsev, and Rodion Makarovich. The names meant nothing to him. Simply people with faces. Alec didn't know whether or not to be concerned about the fact he knew nothing of them. Threats? Probably not. None of their names seemed real scary or anything. Mahoutokoro, and Ilvermorny, something Pride and Miles Thatcher. As the announcements were finished only then had Alec realized how much of a wreck the Great Hall had become... While actually that was a lie. He'd seen it, saw it, watched it, he just perhaps had decided to ignore it. Who could blame him? He wanted to pretend this was a nice evening.
Alec would have been able to pretend to have a nice evening too. He wanted to track down and congratulate the champions, the statues of them it would be easy, besides it made the most sense for them to be attending the ball in fact, he was turning to ask Rose if she wanted to come with him when he saw it... Out of the corner of his eyes. The Durmstrang champion had been on some pretty incredible antics all night, trying to make a stir? Alec wasn't sure, he didn't care. The most incredible one by far had to be the guts this person had antics upon antics, the durmstrang champion had just... spit on the Hogwarts champion. What...? Spit? There are so many better more clever ways to disrespect a person than spitting on them. That's so stupid, why is it even considered an insult? The people doing the spitting lack the braincells to do anything else. Then Alec saw it, what he was now calling the first of justice. If your going to spit in someone's face, prepare for the worst. Could Alec have intervened with the first of justice? Possibly.... But uh... screw morals and usually non-violent tendencies. Alec turned his head away. If he didn't see it, he couldn't feel guilty, not his fault he didn't step in. He had looked away and because of doing this, he missed watching the fist of justice takes it blow. Fine that was the whole point. Let it happen.
“Do you mind if we put this on hold?” Alec asked, he gestured to the Durmstrang champ and grimaced, “-he's on fire, and he's bleeding... Don't ask me how I pity fools who likely lack braincells.” Alec's eyebrows furrowed, trying to figure it out for himself followed by a shake of his head. The guy looked pitiful, how could Alec not do anything?! “Besides, can't congratulate a passed out champion can you?” Okay dark humor but there was Alec's logic. Yep. Made sense. This was how the world worked know, “you can follow me if you want, I might need help, he doesn't look good, and I have no idea what happened with the damn healing tent... I'm not gonna go far. If you choose to stay back here, I'll be back soon enough.” He had far more to lose by walking off to help the fool then he did to stay and ignore it. Still, it was far too late to back out now.
Alec wouldn't pay attention to whether Rose had followed him or not, running up to the scene he'd just witnessed. He was trying to figure out how to make use of himself, and assessing the way the durm champ(@Flash HolmwoodYefim) had looked before he'd been punched, Alec could do nothing but stare. Fire, or bleeding... He saw a girl trying to cast the countercharm, but he didn't really see how that was going to work. Fire or bleeding, or... reparifors? He'd seen how it worked out in duels. The problem was, there was a lot of fire, he didn't think he should use ferula because maybe magical bandages can be burned. But he also didn't know how ethical it was it let someone sit and burn. Um... Alec pointed his wand towards the durm champion, “reparifors,” if not putting out the fire was a bad choice Alec could get yelled at for it later. There was probably a potion or cream that made burns from fire disappear as well.
After he casting reparifors, Alec decided to stay, to make sure everything had settled and would settle before he walked away. His head turned from the durm champion, to the Hogwarts one. Durm champion had gotten enough of a congrats in the form of a pity reparifors. Alec didn't think it suited the situation to gives congrats to the Hogwarts champ, salt to fresh wounds right? His whole congrats for getting picked was getting spit on. His eyes stayed trained thoughtfully on the older student(@Howard White), and out of everything swarming around in his minds the words he decided to pick out in that moment were, “bloody hell... fists of justice, you've got a strong punch.” So... Alec was encouraging violence. As bad as it sounded there were certain sets of circumstances in which encouraging violence just so happened to be the more favorable option. Besides encouraging violence by complimenting punching skills? Pffft- no not Alec, he was simply- uh... he was... Stating facts.

The masked child, dressed as the Plague Doctor, decided to leave. It was time for him to leave. Try to keep himself from getting in trouble. Though he was glad his green sparks charm hit the boy he was aiming towards, he needed to consider getting out. It was beginning to be too much for Noah, and Noah couldn't exactly keep up with it. His brain started to feel overwhelmed. He darted as fast as he could towards the exit, before realizing what he needed to do. He still had to reverse Ari's outfit.
Keep it from being an eyesore pink to something else. So, Noah darted to where Ari was, and said one simple incantation. "Multicorfors." He made the wand movement, and intended for the outfit to be a super bright shade of yellow. Like- so bright it hurts when you look at it.
He took off his mask to take a quick breath, in front of Ari, then quickly put back on his mask and darted away, to go to the Phoenix Pen. His dorm room in the Gryffindor dormitory.
He needed to first return Billy Maxipup to the Owlery, and give him his owl treat for being so good. "Bye Billy! I'll see you tomorrow!" And now, he made his return to the dorm.Interacting with @Ari Gwild

When he saw fury in the dark eyes of his foe, the curses and the flying punch, Yefim felt fully satisfied. He also caught the punch fully in the face, reeling back from the massive force. He was well aware of how hard Howard hit, the last time it had sent him into unconsciousness in seconds. This time, however, he still stood. This was a warning, that Yefim not only had a horde behind him, but that he himself had been constantly improving and growing. Stronger, faster, smarter, more on fire-er.Playing as iNPC Yefim Rumyantsev
Speaking of, he was still on fire. Adrenaline saved him from agony for a good few minutes, but that was over now. If he wasn't mistaken, he was actually a lot more on fire than he had been before. Also, his legs really hurt, because right, they were cut. Really, he did not have time for all this garbage, he was in the middle of asserting his superiority on Hoglosers. His role was not to heal himself, he would leave that to fate. No, he was a charging bull with blood in his eyes, and the fight had only just started getting good!
As much as he was starting to feel the burn, and hoo boy was it a wingdinger, he was too pure of purpose to let pain prevent him from putting Howard in his place. Like an animal defending its territory, he wouldn't give Howard a second of peace. Him, and all the other champions, were about to enter the worst year of their life, and this was a small preview. Scream-laughing, Yefim stomped over to Howard like a supermutant holding a bomb. Except the bomb was him, on fire.

Aurelia. (reaction addition to previous post)
The content of the dishes on the pot luck table were in a large variety of vibrant colours. Lysander would reach to grab a somosa. As for Aurelia, the platter of sushi looked good, even if the uncomfortable fizzle of anxiety still lingered on in her chest, stunting her previously mentioned want for food. Maybe a cold drink would do. The question, however, took her aback. A rather short and simple question of concern, yet one that drew an unexpected mingling of feelings within. No one ever noticed, and if they did, they're was never enough concern to ask.
Yet, with a faltered sense of trust like hers, a question of distrust arose, was Lysander genuinely concerned, or was he asking because it was only appropriate? Sure she had some level of infatuation for him, but she still barely knew him. Lysander was quite tight but someone hadn't just offended her, they had physically assaulted her. And trauma stuck around. After short few seconds of noticeable hesitation, her lips moved to speak, "Pretty much. You have quite a keen eye th-" sentence interrupted by a spash.
Hadrian.
Watching a flustered Aurelia having trouble finding her words, provided Hadrian quite the satisfaction. Her encaptivating blue eyes narrowed into a terrifying glare tht drew the younger girl into a cower, the exchange was humorous to see at the very least. Hadrian didn't blame her any more than he felt sorry for the poor girl dragged blindly into this scheme fuelled by his vindictive antics. The teenager, rather short-sightedly, despite his apologies, genuinely felt no regret for any faults of his.
What was more amusing was witnessing his betrothed's date failing in his attempt to recover the mess of it all. A slight scoff. The look he shot back was akin to Aurelia's at Serene, was that of unmistakable judgement. No, the older boy will not be allowed to ruin his date even if Hadrian had to some extent, his. The Wampus turned his attention back at the younger girl, his brows knitted in concern. "Right. That was of no fault of yours. You needn't apologise, I have mistaken you for a level to know of the spell." He explained, words contrary to what he believed. "I'd accompany you out if you need some air. The nature of events like these isn't for everyone." Certainly, Hadrian was not stupid, he knew what the other boy implied, none that he'd let.
Aurelia.
Without a protest, she let him cast. Aurelia was rooting for the success of Lysander's scouring spell to save her from the embarrassment of having to get the wand strapped to her thigh under her dress. There were not a lot of creative options for carrying a thin long 28cm stick in all the grace of her getup. Despite her hopes, the spell was barely effective, the stain of red still as bright as ever. "Thank you. I'll clear it up later." Still, she commended his efforts. Maybe later. It wasn't the best idea to keep her wand under a dress without a slit.
The gentle pressure of a hand on her shoulder grounded her away from the fluster of thoughts and feelings against both Hadrian and Seren, despite the latter not having wronged in any way. She returned Lysander a wordless reassurance of a soft smile, 'I'm alright'. Her immediate frustration was directed towards Seren instead of the perpetrator himself. This was exactly what Hadrian intended - at least something she'd think he'd do. Playing with her feelings. If it were any other scenario, it was unlikely that he ever dared to prod for such a reaction out of her. She was not appreciating his antics one bit.
"You're alright. In fact, I apologise if I've frightened you in any way." Aurelia was self aware enough to know about the unsettling effect she had on others. And that its intensity was often reflected by her mood.
The booming voice of the Ilvermorny headmaster would herd the attention of the room towards him. "No doubt. And if you make it into a team, I'd love to watch you not get killed." In response to Lysander, she said. Surely he could take care of himself. She couldn't care less for the championship, initially. Until the Hogwarts champion was revealed, Howard White. Two words that caused her stomach to drop and for all hell to break lose. Screaming, the chaos of spells and food flying everywhere. "I wished I didn't..." A rather odd response to his question. She couldn't have heard that right. She was getting sick and very, very anxious.
Hadrian.
All attention on the champion reveal. They both knew Miles, the roommate. As handsome as the younger ilvermorny was, his year level was questionable given that the others selected were older. Howard White. The evident distress from his betrothed's reactions did not go unnoticed. Story upon story told, Hadrian was well aware of what he did. A wave of sudden anger hijacked his system, adrenaline pumping in his blood. "Oh, that asshole needs to be put down." One could only guess which of the champions he was referring to.
Diregarding his date, he left Seren's side to stride towards the center of havoc and dangerous wayward spells. The Hogwarts Champion was none other that the dhampir who hurt her. Possessive as always. Howard White did not deserve it, he was not worthy. And Hadrian was taking matters into his own hands. After all, he was still a reckless hormonal teenage boy. "He's mine." He'd growl, violently thrusting his body weight at the heavy Russian, anyone witnessing may initially assume that he was on Howard's side. Hadrian needed the flaming tank out of the way.
(If successful) He'd turn to the sickly pale hufflepuff. "You're going to regret ever biting her, Dhampir. You disgust me." He'd crack his knuckles. It didn't take a genius to guess what relations he had to her. Howard had a punch due and violence was all that was on his mind.
Aurelia.
There was enough respect between them that if Aurelia wanted to, she could have made the angry Hadrian stop, to behave. All it took was a few words, but she didn't. There was a part of her that wanted Howard to face the wrath for what he did. To hurt him for the pain and the trauma, physically, emotionally and psychologically that the dhampir caused her. She had no doubt in her mind that Hadrian would deliver just that. Perhaps with her anxiety en route to an impending attack, she just wasn't thinking straight, whatever it was. The room was gyrating, blurring everything in a flurry of events around her. Heartbeats pounding loudly in her ears.
One thing was for sure, she needed to leave. But first, leaning towards Seren, she'd whisper against her ear, "Pass this on to Hadrian for me, he'll know." Before pressing something small and cold discreetly into her palm. The ring. With that, she'd morph into an owl, the human girl now a feathered pillow of an owl. With most eyes on Howard and company, she couldn't care less if anyone saw her. She didn't think she'd be able to walk. And like Hadrian, she'd leave her date. Extending her wings, she'd take off flight through the large great hall doors and into the hallway.

Forever was not needed to wait for the American girl. She looked pretty, of course. Probably dolled up just for him to see, pathetic. Her with her airy voice, how amazing it would be if it were someone else other than her, preferably Prokovdine. But she was nowhere to be seen. In fact, he had not seen her since in what felt like forever. The umbrella, of course she asked. “Lucietta, good evening” Was she not able to see the chaos presented in front of her like an extraordinary theatrical performance? “As you see, people are a little strange, so, I just don’t want them to ruin your beautiful dress.” These people clearly lack proper manners, throwing food all over the place, one tried to put something on someone’s eyes, some threw punches, and- is that fire? “Also, you look really nice”
As if it was fate, the hexwizard champions were announced. The only reason he came in the first place. It wasn’t that he loved to party with all of these menances, not that he wanted to take Lucietta as his date. If he could just go back after he knew who would be worthy to be the champions, he would skedaddle out of there as quick as the speed of light. “Do you want to get some food?” He asked the girl, trying so hard to be nonchalant about the whole tournament. Then his name was dropped. He expected it, of course. Who would be worthier than him in the whole school of Koldovstoretz? None. It was clear as crystal, he would compete in this deadly tournament. “O-oh, I didn’t expect that. Truly, I didn’t think much when I put my name in it, I just hope I will not die too young.” He chuckled as he took a glance at Lucietta. Would she be able to give him one or two facts about that Miles boy? Hopefully she could be useful for once.

Shit
She swore, once in a lifetime, and yet, it was inside her head. Overthinking would be the death of her someday. It wasn’t her name that the announcer mentioned. She was not the champion nor did she put her name in the goblet. It felt the same nonetheless. There was a hole in the bucket. It spilled over her, and now it was too late to hide the fact that she was indeed scared of losing someone good, someone in her circle, another family. Part of her wanted to just run to him and kick his arse for making her feel anxious, but the other wanted to respect his decision. It shouldn’t be her responsibility if he gets hurt later on, it shouldn’t be her fault. But the whispers told her otherwise. She could stop it right now, do anything to make him withdraw. Though, she couldn’t move, as if her legs had brains on their own.
The voice of Nicholas put her back to reality, there she noticed her hands were slightly shaking. She looked at her new boyfriend, if she could call him that, then crossed her arms together. “O-oh right, haven’t told you anything about him.” Who was he again? Right, cousin. Third cousin, to be exact, from her father’s side. Legend has it, one of the Ranviers married the Makarovich, then biology happened and Rodion was born into this beautiful earth. That was what her mother told her, neither of them ever met the Russian family before. Last year's blossom ball was the first time they saw each other. One with utter excitement, the other with endless disgust. Her blood status was one to blame. What Aurora didn’t know wouldn’t hurt her. “He’s my third-, fourth- fifth- something cousin? I think? And he is cool, and it’s really nice to know that I have a family my age who knows about the existence of magic so I can rant on and on about this magical life that isn’t so magical but now he’s entering this thing, and I know for sure he will get himself killed, not that I think he’s incapable or anything but this is dangerous and he expect to get what? A trophy and not a tombstone?–”
She talked so fast to the point it sounded like she were performing her new rap single. The thing was, when she first heard of the hexwizard, the girl genuinely thought it was just another duel championship. As rare as the comet in the sky, she did a little historical research about it, because she needed to know what she would sign up for. Daily prophet had a section about it, and a student died in the tournament. It was when she realised this was not something people should take as a joke. No one should enter this thing, Hogwarts needed to be banned for holding such events. She was paler than ever. Honestly, the face that she made was similar to a kid who just got out of a roller coaster hundred times non stop. Terrified and nauseated. “–I will support him nonetheless but why can’t anyone just- I don’t know- do sports and stuff and try to not hurt themself? I know that Hogwarts is awful in the security department, but like, just don’t do this type of thing, It isn't hard! I hate to feel this way. And if he’s dead, I-” The scenario in her head took a toll on her. Aurora slowly flopped on the ground, not giving a single care whether anyone was watching, she just needed to get a grip and calm her down. “-I think I’m gonna be sick, I’m s-sorry”

River smiled, they had met that way, her love of maps and hate for questions.writing as iNPC River Fayre.
As she walked back inside with Florian her head was full of wonder, what would happen if Florian was the champion of the French school? Of course she would congratulate him, but she felt like she would have to step back, no she did not want to get in the way if he were to be the center of attention.
Once they were inside, River listened intently. For once, this thing, this mess that Hogwarts was seemed to matter. As they were announced River felt her body shivering, her legs wobbling, why was she nervous? Because she had dumbly put her own name in the Goblet? She took a deep breath, for her own sake and for Florian's she hoped that neither would be chosen, surely it was a death trap? Just asking to get everyone in it killed. When The Beauxbaton's Champion was announced River felt much calmer, she breathed out, now she was sure that she was safely away from all the danger, now she could just enjoy her stay. "Yes, I'm sure she will make our School proud." She sighed, looking at the floor, her words had sounded rude, heartless, but really they had been full of relief. Even if she had not known Florian long, she knew him enough to care about him, and would rather not see him die.
"Ok, I'll see you later, Good luck!" She waved, and watched as he left.
Looking around she tried to decide what to do, the great hall seemed to have gotten bigger, a lot bigger.

Marcel had listened to the champions being announced and knew no one. He did tend to keep to himself, so this wasn't a surprise. Definitely the opposite, really. However, he wasn't really sure what to do now. The night was far from over, at least it felt so. He took another glance around the Great Hall, seeing a girl who seemed to be by herself. She looked nice, he reckoned. The dress was very pretty, and he wanted to know how she braided her hair. He rocked on his heels for a moment, then took a breath, striding over. "Er... Excuse me." He awkwardly gave a small bow. That's what you're supposed to do at formal events, right? "I saw that you were alone, and I thought to introduce myself. I came alone, you see, I thought I'd be able to make friends-" He smoothed back his hair, sighing, for he knew that one particular cowlick sprung right back up. "Your dress is very nice, miss. And your hair! Did you do it yourself? Was there a particular charm? Oh, I'm sorry, I'm rambling..." He rocked back and forth on his heels, awkwardly. "...Where was I... Introductions!" He awkwardly stuck out his hand, giving a friendly smile. "My name is Marcel Wheatley. I'm from Hogwarts, Ravenclaw house. I know that there are several schools, so I don't want to assume where you are from. May I ask your name?" He cringed at how formal he sounded. People always seemed to jab at him for sounding like a dictionary. He hoped this girl wouldn't poke fun at him.
Midspring Celebration
@Xailah AlptraumMy mind raced as Piérre spoke these cruel and unprecedented words. How could I possibly dissuade him from what he was believing whole-heartedly? None of it was true... At least as far as I was able to comprehend.
Perhaps I was biased, however. I had left suddenly...
But I was interrupted by the green blur of movement as Piérre's hand came flying for me. With instinctive movement, I deflect his left handed punch with the palm of my right, knocking the blow aside before using his own momentum against him.
With a twist of his body and my wrist, I wrap my right arm about his neck, pinching his carotid artery, and prop up my left arm to hold his head in a locked position so he would be unable to move or hurt himself in the midst of my grip. Feeling my muscle bulge, I become aware of the fact that I am permitting my strength to almost exceed what I am willing to deem safe. My brother is nowhere near as strong as me... He is struggling already, clapping his hands to my restraining arms.
My teeth are gritted tightly, even when a young woman in a gorgeous black and indigo attire approaches. A cat's mask covers her face. She may have spoken, but my heart is beginning to echo in my ears as adrenaline begins to kick up. She attempts to break my hold, but her strength is nothing compared to mine.
Through Piérre's tussling and incoherent shouting, I try to remain calm, though it is more than likely that my words, emitting from gritted teeth and myself engaged in an act of violence, sounded more angered than assuring. "He's_ he'll be okay... Just... Needs to calm down... a bit!"
What a terrible excuse. I don't even believe it myself. I can't process this right now. I need time to think. Talk. Recuperate in a place more private if possible.
And Piérre needs to do the same... Even if it means rendering him unconscious for a while while we relocate.
This is the only peaceable solution he has left for me.
And I can't help but wonder;

@Xai, @Romeo, & @FigaroPiérre was ready to spin and make another fisticuffs strike after his swing had gone wide and been deflected almost effortlessly by his bigger, stronger twin; but no sooner had he tried to spin than Pierre felt the awkward sensation of his body being deftly manipulated so that he was pinned to his brother's chest. No sooner had Piérre felt the immediate need to squirm away, but two thick arms swiftly wrapped about his throat and held his head in place.
Like a trapped animal, Piérre immediately began to scrabble and dig his nails into his brother's forearms, the effectiveness of which was greatly dampened by the silk gloves that Piérre had donned when he had first entered this ill-fated celebration.
In this position, the Jester could do little to help himself out in this situation. All he could muster were insults to injury. “Liar! Liar!” He strangled out as the crushing force of the Strongman's arm seemed to tighten ever so slightly. The Jester was starting to feel a little lightheaded. “Came back to add to the misery! Came back to see just how pathetic your brother could possibly be?! Came back to finish the job!”
The Jester was trying to feel for any give, any mark that there was a flaw in the Strongman's iron hold. Green eyes traced about the room, searching for leverage, racing against the clock.
Piérre watched a dark figure come close, a dazzling gown of indigo and black, and an elegant cat's masque to hide the face. The Jester tensed further, as if expecting this newcomer to gang up on him now that he was pinned, but as soon as he heard the voice, Piérre was washed with a wave of confusion and shock.
It was “Z-Xailah?”
The Gryffindor prefect. Legends had it that Miss Xailah Alptraum had thwarted many a troublemaker, and admittedly, Piérre may have only shimmied his way out of one or two by sheer luck. She didn't make a sound when he crept up on the troublemaker, before BAM; DETENTION.
Glancing up at Romeo, Piérre lightly jested in a whisper even in his anger. “Oh brother, you reaaaaally messed up. You caught the Prefect's attention.”
No sooner had words begun to be exchanged than Piérre tuned out entirely... Looking for someone.
Piérre watched as Xailah tried to pull his brother away from him with a little humor and also great surprise. Why was someone else trying to help him? Did Xailah feel this was her fight too? Though Xailah was older, Romeo towered over her, and was also a good deal built more like a tree compared to her. The attempt was admirable... But ineffective.
Piérre's brow creased as he was about to remark on the circumstance, but was quickly distracted by a silver blur (that someone he had been looking for) as Figaro raced into action, attempting to climb up Romeo's fluttering scarlet cloak in order to mount his shoulders with ample skin to find purchase on.
With an uncharacteristic hiss that caused Piérre to flinch for a second, Figaro swatted at Romeo's cheek with unsheathed claws, and then with a lightning fast followup, to try and bite his ear. The cat would be damned if he was going to let anyone touch his human brother that way, regardless of Piérre's command of: “Figaro! Smettere! Stop! (in the context of standing down)”
After his strike, the Bengal would growled deeply and began to "speak" "Noh-noh-noh-noh-noh-noh... Nnnnnoh-noh-noh-noohh..."
The Jester tried to take the opportunity to break out of the restraining hold... Before it was too late.

I'm lazy to redraw this, but it's like that, the difference is that her hair is now short with pink highlights
