Aurora was not good at a lot of things. But one aspect that she loved and always will be would be art and craft. No matter the events, when it is stated that there will be art related activity, she will be sold in one second. The race will soon start in just a couple of days. In all honesty, she was very nervous about the upcoming match. Not that she doubted her team’s ability, they were great, it was who they will be competing against. Gryffindor. Their skill was average at best, but their captain, Nicholas McCowan. His skill, his hair, his charm, his face…him. Aurora was head over heels for that boy. What a scandalous drama between the two captains, it should be the headline of the daily prophet.

Love on the first fly, traitorous or innocent?

The two lovebirds, broom racing captain of Ravenclaw, Aurora Ranvier and Gryffindor, Nicholas McCowan, spotted holding hands before the match. Rumour has it, they shared each other’s strategies resulting in the death of both teams. They look so in love, but hold and behold! Nicholas is cheating with another girl! *dramatic gasps*

Obviously that did not happen, the hand holding, strategies spilling, and the cheating, hopefully. Definitely not on the front cover of the wizarding drama magazines either. Not that Aurora would care if someday some sneaky journalist decided to talk about their relationship publicly, she had something to worry about now. How to cheer on both teams without hurting both sides. It would be unethical to encourage the opposite team, yet alone captain whilst her own team stood right there, hearing and perhaps reading the banner she was about to make. If only she was just another racer and doesn’t have captaincy status, that would not be a big issue. But, on the other hand, if she chooses the birds in the end, she doesn't want to disappoint him. He did cheer for her in quidditch whilst the Ravenclaw beat up the Gryffindor’s arses after all, it only fair if she did the same.

She was torn.

Slowly walked inside the great hall, she looked around the room. It was filled with unfamiliar faces, unimportant, since he himself was not here. Aurora didn’t know whether she should be relieved or sad. On one hand, she could design the poster in ease without having to worry about his eyes, probably questioning why his name isn’t there, secretly. But at the same time she just wanted to see him. She grabbed one of the chairs, the one further away from all of the other students so she could work in peace, collected some of the materials she might need, and went straight into business. In the end, she decided to make something not very Ravenclaw but not Gryffindor either, though you can see clearly that it was dedicated for the house of the wise if you look closely. ‘Ravenclaw is Superior’, the written names of the racers. But if you squint hard enough, you can definitely see one name that never belonged in Ravenclaw. That name was the captain of the red team. ‘Nicholas is cute’ she wrote. Though she scribbled the cute part because she didn’t want her feelings to look way more obvious than she had intended. Probably too late for that, but whatever.

This was not a cheer banner, she would make it later in her room, in her own space without any distraction. A decision needed to be made, either supporting him, her fellow teammates, or maybe both. Perhaps one side for Nicholas and the other for the birds, that would work.

Mei walked into the great hall with a smile on her face. She had wanted to try broom racing since her first year but never worked up the courage to actually try. Either that or it was because she was either stuck in a book or getting into some mischief. Most likely the latter. Nevermind that she would make a poster or a few to support her house in the broom race. She new quite a few of them. That's a lie. She asked someone for their names.

She grabbed a few poster boards and started on them.
LET'S GO LIN
SHE'll TOTALLY WIN!!
Mei looked at it and added some stars and smiley faces around it. To make it look pretty besides her curly handwriting. Who else did she know was a broom racer? She tapped her chin and thought for a second. Oh Clair!
WATCH OUT FOR CLAIR
SHE'll BOOT YOU OUT THE AIR!!
She traced the shape of her letters with glue and covered them with glitter. They would surely shine. Maybe. Depends on what the whether would be.
LET'S GO RAVENCLAW
LET'S GO!!
DON'T MESS WITH ARI
OR YOU'LL TOTALLY BE SORRY
DON'T MESS WITH JUDI
OR YOU'LL MAKE HER MOODY
Mei didn't really know Judith so she didn't know what to write. She was just trying to make everything rhyme.

She grabbed a small poster board and rolled it into a cone shape. It looked kind of like those megaphones cheerleaders cheered through in the shows she used to watch back hom. She coloured it blue and rerolled it and taped it in the shape. She wrote RAVENCLAW In big black, bold, slanted letters.

Mei grabbed a few blue flags and cut off the flag part and taped them all to one flag. She took the sticks and added them in at well. Now instead of a few small flags she had one medium sized flag. She took the extra scraps and taped them together into some small pompoms. She then taped those together and made two big pompoms.

She took a poster board and drew some brooms on it and some with students on them.
FLY SOARING EAGLES FLY
She looked outlined it in a thick blue outline connecting the letters with the blue and added some shading so the letters looked like they were popping off the page.

She made another poster that just said Ravenclaw in big bold black letters after coloring the poster blue. She was starting to run out of ideas. She started taking flags and just taping them together. She made a baton. She did color guard back at her old school so she twirled the baton through her fingers tossing it up behind her back and catching it before twirling it again.

She wondered how many people would show up at the broom race that Saturday. Maybe more will show up if they know that we're making posters and stuff. The last race was a bummer.

She hadn't attended it because she was trying to catch up on homework. Why did she have to catch a cold? She had spent the whole day catching up on assignments.

But she did ask a friend how the race went. They came back looking totally bummed. Not only because they lost to Hufflepuff but because no one really showed up as well. Mei was so angry that she almost tore her pillow open. How could no one come? She would make sure people came this time. She would have to bribe them with something. Just showing them the posters wouldn't be enough.

She finished making her posters and walked out of the Great Hall plotting a plan in her head and when she was going to do it. She had until Saturday.

Phaedra did not often join in on errands, and she especially did not care much about sports. Except duelling, but referring to that as a mere sport instead of the undeniable art form it really was seemed rather reductive to magic itself. Either way, it was about time that Phaedra showed support for one of the broom-wielding recreations in a way that surpassed only paying attention in the spectator stands when provided a nice opportunity for pictures for the newspaper. Apparently, turn out was not great. Not that she could tell, in front of a camera the entire time.

Walking in the Great Hall, Phaedra noticed the sheer amount of students taking part. Were errands always this populated? She vaguely remembered her own Hogsmeade volunteer day garnering attention, but that had been a school trip then. Perhaps the promise of house points also enticed these present today. Bag in hand, she strolled between the tables, eyes scanning over the tables for any particularly interesting supplies she could get her hands on and utilise. No needle, fabric, or thread, what a shame, but paint could do the job in far less time. She lifted her bag over her head and plopped it and herself onto two empty seats.

There happened to not be many people she knew in the immediate neighboring seats, but ever the focused and time efficient person Phaedra was, she did not mind. It would at least grant her the ability to concentrate if only after blocking out the chatter of those nearby, and not to mention, there was value in being alone from time to time. After reaching forward to pull and measure parchment for her banner, Phaedra spread the thick sheet across the table before her as long as her arm span would allow. Smoothing it flat with her palms and only then realising the necessity of something heavy on the ends as weights to prevent rolling, she adjusted her working space to her liking, focused and determined to do what she came for.

It was no embroidery, and she was no Picasso, but it was relaxing all the same. With tints of azure blue—her personal favourite and house colour—embedded in the bristles, Phaedra first began by dragging a large paintbrush over the canvas to serve as its background hue. There hadn’t been much time for art lately. Between classes, study, duelling practice, prefectdom and her newest role as Editor-in-Chief, it was refreshing to return to her hobbies after putting them on the back burner for work. If one paid close attention, there might have even been the faintest trace of an ecstatic body language, in her own restrained way of course, feet tapping lightly on the stone floor as she painted.

Oh, right, she was here for Broom Racing. Problem was, ever a perfectionist, she could not and would not draw a detailed broom from mere memory, in fear of the thing looking quite silly. Nor an Eagle, her house’s animal mascot. The poor thing had gotten confused with a raven enough time in its tenure. Instead, she resorted to her long forgotten dive into calligraphy. The talent had long remained untapped, and she had never cared much for it in the first place, but it beat what she considered some three-year-old’s doodles, the kind mother and father would put on display. She returned the large brush and settled for something smaller to better manipulate letters with.

In the closest thing to gold she could find, Phaedra would place down a simple, “Team Ravenclaw” in the neatest decorative lettering she could muster. Basic and unwitty, but it got the point down magnificently. Gold-like paint still available, she would then jot down some golden snitches tastefully around the letters. Not too difficult, being spheres with wings and all. There, done. It looked rather decent. It took a considerable amount of time considering its size—the hope was that it was visible from a distance. And with its large size came the concern of drying time. As many before her stood to leave their banners behind to dry, Phaedra would do the same, after cleaning herself and her area up of any spilled paint. Hopefully the endeavor would boost that long-needed morale.

Willa stepped into the Great Hall. It had always been so fascinating and full of things to observe. Even if she was sitting alone, or at least not talking to anyone, she could listen in on the conversations of others and gather information and secrets. People would be surprised how much she knew about them. She remembers the names of everyone she meets and pays attention to every last detail. For example, a Gryffindor student had snuck out to the Great Lake past curfew, and although he had not been seen by anyone else, she had heard him stomping through the corridors and saw him through the window of the Booted Eagle dormitory going to the Great Lake. She hadn't told anyone, and no one else knew, but she was satisfied all the same. Things like this can serve as great blackmail if it's needed.

She never did have the bravery or wits to tell on anyone, much like she was too scared to tell a certain boy that she loved him. She still loved to listen, even if she never did anything with the information, like a spy of sorts. It was her little game. She was an agent for a superior intellectual society and she got information for them. She had called in the Order of the Aldorux. When she was still a normal Muggle, not knowing she was magical. She had written a short story about them. She smiled at the memory.

Snapping back to the present, Willa sighed. She stared around the room at the wooden tables and floating candles that never failed to impress her. Most of them were like usual, empty of students when no one was eating, except for a few poor house-elves cleaning spills and messes. She lost focus again, thinking about the house-elves. She had recently joined S.P.E.W, the Society For Promotion of Elf Welfare, in their support. They were such awesome creatures but treated so horribly. They had gingerly cared for her in the Hospital Wing, tending to her near-hypothermic sleeping body. She would attend every protest, meeting, or event that S.P.E.W held if it was for the house-elves.

She shook herself yet again. She must look crazy, standing in the middle of the Great Hall staring into space like a lunatic. It wasn't like she wasn't already a lunatic to some students, but still. She forced herself to focus on the task at hand and not her deep, brooding thoughts. She headed to the two middle tables that a few students were sitting at. They were covered in art supplies- glue, parchment, quills and ink, paint, among other things. She headed to the least crowded of the two.

She was here to earn house points for her house in need, to carry out an errand for Miriam. She knew little about broom racing, and she wasn't very artistic, so all she could do was try her best. Whatever her best was, anyways. She took out a strip of parchment and some scissors, along with a wooden rod of some sort that had been sitting in a pile near the table. She figured she would make a flag. Those weren't too hard. She knew she couldn't possibly manage to draw the Ravenclaw crest, for she barely knew what it looked like at all. She just planned on a simple, forgiving 'Go, Ravenclaw!'. She took the stick and snapped it in half, for it was about a foot long on either half now. It was a light brown, smooth, rounded stick that she really liked for whatever reason.

She took out the parchment. She wasn't sure if anyone else does what she was about to do (it was probably a questionable decision at best), but she would try it anyway. She dunked it into a tub of blue ink, letting the ink cover it. A few seconds and a very blue, inky hand later, Willa pulled it out. It was the perfect shade of blue- the exact color one the Ravenclaw crest. Score!, she thought. It was perfect-- not too dark that you couldn't see the writing on it, but dark enough to be, well, dark enough. She then took the scissors out-- these were more old-fashioned than the ones in the Muggle world, which was full of technology and innovations. She was still getting used to the underdeveloped technology world that was the one of Wizardry. It was drab to her, but she had never liked where technology was going in the first place so she decidedly liked this more. She took precise, straight-as-possible hand movements, using the scissors to cut the inky paper into a triangle. She was happy with herself-- whenever she tried something crafty like this, it failed, but this was clearly working. She next took a quill and dipped it into some more ink-- it was black this time. In big, confident strokes, she wrote: Go, Ravenclaw! overlapping the ink a few times so it was dark enough. She then took out a bowl of smelly glue. She took some on a flat wooden spoon and spread it on part of her stick, then finally pushed the flag onto it. Waiting for the glue to dry, she gave herself a goofy smile. She did something right. She held up the now-dry flag to the light proudly. It read,
GO, RAVENCLAW!
She then set it aside and produced four more of these, which she may give to other students at the next race, assuming she would attend. Of course, she would-- she made flags for it! Happy with her work, she pushed aside the bowls of ink and paste and gathered her flags, briskly walking out of the room, probably to have some other deep conversation in her head. If one saw her face, they'd see a smile.

Crafting and broom racing combined seemed like a perfect place for Serena to be. She loved both of those things and actually enjoyed partaking in them. It was a nice distraction from real life, a way to focus on something more than herself and her thoughts that seemed to just be repeating itself over and over. Nothing really seemed to change. She had a lot to think about but she also needed time to process her thoughts.

As she entered into the Great Hall, she looked around. There were stacks of materials on top of the tables, ready to be repurposed into a banner or something for tomorrow. She walked down the hall, eyeing up everything before stopping at a quiet space. There were people she recognised around but she did not bother to go up to anyone in particular, deciding to be left alone to her thoughts for some time. Tomorrow, she would be taking part in the next broom racing race herself. The last one, against Ravenclaw, had been a bit of a struggle. She found herself caught in vines and lagging behind. Serena had no idea how they would fare against their opponents tomorrow but she imagined it would not be easy.

She stared at the blank posters, banners and stick flags as she eyed everything up. It was hard to decide where to begin. The last time, she had gone to spectate the Gryffindor game and cheered for a few players there. Perhaps she could do the same tomorrow, though she had no idea if her own game would have ended by then or if she would be uninjured in it and well enough to go cheer.

Broom racing was special to her though. It was special for a number of reasons and in the recent past, she had the absolute pleasure of interviewing most - if not all - of the captains of the sport, finding out what they loved about the sport firsthand. It renewed her own passion in it, though it was kind of hard to stay unbiased during the interview process.

Grabbing a stick flag in red as an idea popped into her mind. Serena picked up a bottle of yellow paint and took a brush. Without much ado, she quickly started to work on the little banner. It was small, barely bigger than her own face - and very small for the intended recipient of the item. However, she was not one to wave around a giant banner. Though... maybe today was a good day to consider becoming one. Usually, she just screamed words of support. This was a nice little addition to that. For now, she stuck to her idea to see how it would pan out.

Carefully, she started to paint on it with yellow paint in thick lines. Before the paint dried, she moved to the second step. Picking up some glitter, she added a line of gold glitter around the edges of the thick yellow line that she had just painted so that it would dry with the glitter attached. Serena repeated this process over and over, until she managed to spell out the name 'Hugh Lowe' onto it. She pondered if she should add a lion but she had absolutely no idea how to even begin to draw that. How did one draw a lion?

Lining the edge of the stick flag with the golden coloured glitter too, she stared at it for a moment. It was... kind of boring. Serena added a few more lines, trying to make it as "Gryffindor"-y as possible but she was not super impressed by it. Once the flag had fully dried, she dipped the stick part into a pot of glue before coating it with the golden glitter too so that the stick would be shiny.

It was not the best thing she had made by any means but she tried. Unfortunately, there was gold glitter everywhere by the time she had finished. It was stuck in her nails and she was pretty sure it was falling off the flag too since her palms seemed to be coated in it. Welp. Maybe covering the stick with glitter was not a good idea... But she had no idea how to seal the glitter onto the stick so she just waited for it to dry and left it like that. For now, it would do. Since it wasn't the best, she opted not to make one for the other Gryffindors that she knew well or for their opponents.

Serena sighed for a moment, as she remembered that their opponents were Ravenclaw. She had heard that apparently Bloom had joined the team and... honestly, she had no idea how she felt about that. She would have made one for Bloom if this was a week ago but... there was just a pained feeling in her chest now as she thought about that relationship, unsure of how to feel or what to do now.

Though, if she made Nicholas one, she was pretty sure that Aurora would kill her... Though, she could not keep up with what was happening there but after the broom racing interview with the Ravenclaw captain, she knew better than to show support for the Gryffindor boy.

Once it had dried, Serena made her way to the exit with the stick flag in hand. For now, this would do... She sighed softly as her heart ached a little. There had to be a better way to deal with this stuff...

Aly's week had been insanely busy, her mind full of homework assignments and the upcoming thought of spring and aftermaths of the Midspring Celebration and all that had happened there. But no matter how preoccupied and stressed the curly-haired Ravenclaw third-year got, she was never too busy to remember two of the things she loved most: flying and her House. And if she were given the opportunity to support both of those things at once, then clearly, she was going to, come hippogriffs or high water.

The Salinger girl herself was a Quidditch player through and through, but she'd heard much about this new broom-racing thing that Hogwarts had brought to fruition this school year, and though she hadn't been able to find the time to actually attend one of the broom races, she still knew a few of the racers from her House and others. The Ravenclaw broom racing captain, for instance - Aurora - was also on the Quidditch team with Aly herself as a second-string Seeker. And Bloom, one of the other Eagle racers, had also played Quidditch with Aly, albeit as a Keeper. That Quidditch-to-broom-racing pipeline was real.

With the next broom race slated for tomorrow, Aly had been thrilled to hear that there would be poster-making in the Great Hall after classes today. However, as anyone who knew her could have confirmed, timeliness was not the Ravenclaw's friend, and Aly had popped up to the Ravenclaw girls' dormitories to drop off her things after her final class... and laid down for three minutes, just to finish reading the chapter she'd started during the long trek from the classrooms up to the tower... and then she'd woken up quite some time later, a bit disoriented, as one usually is after a nice nap. Except she hadn't meant to nap. She'd meant to go decorate posters, and now she was very, very late! The third-year had careened through the corridors to try to make it to the Great Hall before the poster activity ended, grateful to find, when she arrived, that luckily, the decorating was still apparently in full swing.

Normally Aly would have looked around to see if any of her mates were here, but seeing as how she was already late, she thought, Perhaps I'll just do my banner first, and then if there's time left over I'll see if anyone is about. Pleased with her little order-of-operations decision, Aly meandered over to the materials table and gathered up a pennant banner and some paintbrushes and paints... and a single glitter pen in a shimmery bronze, just for good measure. She was no artist, but she could paint a passable few letters and maybe a blob-shaped bird if she tried hard enough.

Finding a quiet spot on the edge of another of the nearby tables, Aly proceeded to spread her materials out and get to work on the pennant. With a dark blue shade, she painted "FLY FAST FEATHERED FRIENDS!" as evenly as possible, though she didn't give herself enough space for the word "feathered" and so it sort of tapered off to the side on the right, and the word "fast" was definitely a little too off-center to the left. Still, the words were (mostly) even and definitely legible, so she nodded, humming a little tune to herself under her breath and trying to fight the urge to go get a different banner and redo it altogether in the name of perfectionism.

Already imagining herself sticking flowers around the edge later - she had plenty back in the dormitory, so no need to be conjuring them up in the middle of the hall - Aly set about outlining those painted letters with the bronze glitter pen, her normally quill-gripping fingers unused to the thickness of the pen's body. Muggles really used these to write everything?! Not that she was complaining about the shiny glimmer, though, or the smoothness with which it was coursing out of the pen tip, painting her poster with sparkle and pizzazz. Just for good measure, she added a few doodled hearts in each of the top corners and tried her best to doodle a broomstick at the bottom point of the banner, though that ended up looking more like the paintbrush she'd been working with before than a broom. Oops.

Well, that was about all she wanted to do; careful not to roll up the poster lest the still-drying paint or glitter stick to itself and cause a mess, Aly carefully dangled the poster in front of her as she stood and began to make her way out of the Great Hall. Not looking where she was going until the last second, however, she nearly tripped over someone who had taken it upon themselves to crouch directly in the middle of the walkway between tables, trying futilely to scrape what looked like crumbled art supplies together into some sort of pile.

Luckily, she looked down at the last second and was able to stop herself, just barely running into the crouched person and managing to keep her balance. "Wha- hey, look where you're-" Aly cut herself off mid-sentence as she recognised the messy dark brown locks and thin, graceful frame in front of her, even though the face of the familiar figure was turned away from hers. Best that she not scold her Captain, even if he had almost tripped her. Peering down, though not crouching lest she wrinkle her still-drying banner, Aly raised an eyebrow. "Syl? That you? What're you doing on the floor?"

Broom racing. For a girl that was raised playing Quidditch, it was a sport Vienna was fairly new to. Of course, she had heard of it. It was a fairly prominent sport in the wizarding world. But she never really knew the rules of it, the actual idea of the sport. But once she arrived at Hogwarts and caught word of the sport's presence at the school, she was immediately interested.

Unfortunately, Vienna had never been able to actually attend any of the broom races. But after some research and eavesdropping on older students' conversations, she pretty much got the idea. So, it wasn't a matter of time before she signed up. It seemed like a perfect match for the competitive young Slytherin, for unlike Quidditch and dueling, both of which were more team-based sports, there was only one winner, despite the use of teams. And it was that concept and race to be the very best that drew Vienna in.

Sadly, she hadn't made it onto the broom racing team, yet. But that didn't stop her excessive pride for her house's broom racing team. Part of the team or not, Vienna's competitiveness wanted nothing more than her house to win. In fact, she had plans of attending the upcoming broom race, if she didn't have too much homework. Perhaps it would give her an idea of the sport as well, so it was practically all gain for Vienna. So when she caught word of Professor Stube's little poster crafting event, she knew exactly how she'd be spending her Friday.

Vienna had never really been one for errands and such, but she had a special love for crafting. There was some charm about it that drew Vienna in, and somehow it tended to calm her down. After all, art had always been somewhat of a passion of hers.

The short girl walked into the Great Hall that afternoon with an excited grin plastered clearly on her face. She took a second to observe her surroundings. The familiar wooden tables had been covered in a table cloth, which Vienna assumed was to help combat the mess the students would be making. Vienna's eyes lit up as they surveyed the supplies, posters, banners, flags, markers, paints, and most importantly, glitter pens. Vienna would definitely be using those.

She sat down at one of the tables, rolling up her sleeves. She looked down at her shirt, noticing it was quite visibly white. She sighed, remembering how hard it used to be to get mud stains off her white clothes back home. She always had to try to scrub them off the muggle way, since she couldn't use magic and she didn't wanna get caught and get in trouble. No matter, she'd just have to be extra careful. She sighed at the thought. It would be tricky though. She was really bad at being careful.

Deciding to worry about making a mess of her clothes later, Vienna reached out for a blank banner, spreading it out in front of her. She tilted her head slightly as she looked over the blank white banner. Now, the hardest part. Brainstorming. She thought for a while, planning an idea out in her head. Once she had a general idea, she walked over and grabbed some paint, markers, and most importantly, glitter pens.

Dipping the brush into a can of vibrant green paint to match her house colors, Vienna began painting out big, bold words. Perhaps it would've been smarter to sketch out the words in pencil beforehand to avoid running out of room, but Vienna was sure she estimated alright. Not perfectly, but not so bad it would end up a complete mess. After a minute of hard concentration, Vienna finally finished writing out the words.
GO BRISK BASILISKS!
She looked over her work, a pleased smile on her face. While it leaned a bit to the right, she had never really been much of a perfectionist. The handwriting was a bit messy, but Vienna's handwriting always had been. It was at least mostly legible. As she was working, a plan slowly formed in the girl's head. She decided she'd write out the main words first, before adding details and decorations. But she wasn't done with writing just yet.

This time, Vienna reached for a smaller paintbrush, dipping it into a lighter green paint. She figured it would help make the poster a bit more aesthetically pleasing. While she had never had an eye for things like aesthetics, it was better to try than nothing. With the lighter paint, she wrote just under the main text.
SLYTHERIN FOR THE WIN!
Finally finishing the main text, Vienna wiped the paint off her hands and took a good look at her banner. It looked pretty good, just a bit plain. Now all it needed was details. Using the glitter pen she had been more than eager to use, she began sketching out little doodles on the sides of her poster. To the side, she sketched out what appeared to be a green noodle, but to whoever squinted hard enough, it could be depicted as a snake.

She doodled on little smiley faces and flowers as well, and even a little broom to the left. Finally finished, she set the pen down, taking one final look at her creation. It was nothing professional, a bit offset and perhaps even a little too green, but it wasn't bad. Vienna was even quite proud. She sighed, finally leaning back as she waited for the poster to dry.

After a while of waiting, Vienna picked up her banner and made her way out of the Great Hall, quite tired from her hard work. As she walked, she looked over her banner. Now, she'd just have to wait less than twenty-four hours to use it.
Vienna exits the thread.

Looking up to Della, Sylvain would wipe a tear from his eye. He had gotten a lot better about his fits of sobbing, what with quidditch toughening him up a bit, but it still hurt to see something beautiful broken. "I-I wouldn't mind a bit of help," he would sigh, expressing his stress the best he could. "And thanks, it's really kind of you to offer." He would realize then that he was talking to a captain, "You're Della right? The Gryffindor co-captain? You must be pretty special if you're already a captain in your first year. It took me forever to even work up the courage to get on a broom." He left out the "let alone fly" part.

Turning to face Aly's discontent, a familiar tone of voice, Sylvain picked himself up off the floor. "I'm sorry," he said as polite as a boy with wet eyes could while getting out of her way. "Please, you'll have to excuse me, I messed up and everything just kind of fell apart." Now that he thought about it, it wasn't clear to him what exactly had gone wrong. The structure was there, the pins and rods in place should've kept it from falling apart. "I'm just not sure what I can do to fix this, I thought I had everything in its right place..." As he lifted one of the pieces and the pin came undone and the signs spilled off they went flying across the floor. This was a mess.

Extressia then worked on it for hours, trying to outline some sketches she thought were good for each poster. Tried out different fonts because they would seem more unique from each other, and each house was uniques, also it was so her handwriting might be less visible. She was doing a mix of planning and straight-up winging, trying to think of design and where the placement of certain decor, while also just putting any cool-looking and theme-appropriate designs whenever she felt like it. But then she needed a good sentence for the title of the poster, and it took some minutes, she could have gone for something like "Gryffindor rules!" and such, she was actually thinking of doing that.
But looking at these posters, it was a mess, but somewhat coherent. She wanted this to be as perfect as possible, she was helping to cheer on players who endured sweat and tears to win, and she wanted to help her team with morale, even if she was only a dot in a painting, she knew this dot should do her best. But she felt like she could ignore it right? There was still some stuff done, like choosing the fonts and stuff. But as it turn those stuff were more like polish and took only a few minutes to complete. She sighs, trying to think of a poster title, her brain knotting herself around, trying to piece together a good name, maybe even the perfect name. But she fell into frustration.
Ultimately she just wrote "Become the winner! Gryffindors!" and the same with the other poster, just different house names, it was alright in her opinion, but not perfect. Could it ever be perfect? She didn't want to be sad though, this was meant to be a cheerful exercise, and she didn't want people to be sad for her. So she finishes some touches, and left, trying to think about who to give some of the other posters to.
