As Maximilien "Maxi" de Fostoncy [x]
English · #586d9d | French · #056b68
interacts Henri de Bourbon (@Regina Miller) | Phyllis Stanwood (@Bridget Collins)
He was glad to see that Lindsey seemed perfectly capable of surviving on her own, which gave him the excuse of leaving the group. Socialising had always been a difficult thing, especially with unacquainted people. All he wanted now was to escape - ah, as well as to meet Phyllis. To say that he wasn’t becoming impatient overtime would be a lie, for he was.

Directing Regina and her redhead companion one last timid glance, he raised up his head to meet Henri’s eyes. “I’m sorry, though I must be excused now.” he said to the blond, a bit hurriedly. Then, tilting his head slightly towards Lindsey, he told the pair with a genuine smile. “Have a lovely night.” Really, hopefully his cousin would be satisfied with the date introduced by him.

Somewhat hastily he turned, much unlike his normal absent-minded self. Carefully holding the lily and trying hard not to have it squeezed by crowds, he made his way towards the entrance with difficulty. It’s a spectacle really, as so many excited faces lit the whole room up. Maxi shook his head slightly seeing the hyped expression everywhere, especially near that Goblet. Speaking of it, it did bring him a mixed feeling: a part of him did not expect his name to jump out as Beauxbatons’ champion and join that dumb dangerous trial, but the other part eagerly wished to prove to a certain Ilvermony student that he was capable. Feeling this uncertainty, Maxi decided simply not to look at it - that would be far better. Out of sight is out of mind.

And naturally his dark grey eyes went searching for the girl, and no sooner he spotted the flash of auburn hair. Greeted by a wave and grin which he returned with a similar merry gesture and smile, he was soon able to get near her and finally bridge the gap between them. His eyes were caught by her teal dress, the outfit definitely suiting her bold and merry outlook. If it was some other girls he would definitely start by overwhelming her with compliments, but Phyllis was different. There was something in her that made him feel casual - and different. Like, he could put down his mask and shield, and simply laugh things off, like other teenagers did. “I hope that you did not have a long wait.” he started. “And this is for you - you can have it on your hair or on your gown. You look dazzling, by the way.” the white lily he was carefully holding would be presented from behind his back, and a gentle smile would shine on his face.

“Anyway, it’s wonderful seeing you again. Shall we start now?” he expressed, laughing slightly, while offering her his arm. If Phyllis accepted, he would then walk with her into the depths of Hogwarts’ grand hall. Coming across a group of students scribbling their names down a parchment, Maxi would make a gesture to Phyllis and move closer to read.

“Ah, that’s exactly the thing.” he squeaked, pointing at the sign-up sheet. “Let’s see…two games organised, and expectedly meeting the usual Hogwarts standards.” tilting his head towards Phyllis, a somehow mischievous smile slowly formed on his lips. “Though, one of them is a broom game - that Flying Torch thing, which seems like tempting and can almost definitely back up my opinion. Already dangerous enough according to the description, ey? Let’s sign up for it, and you shall see my point.”

There was a reason that he picked this one - Maxi was far more confident in his broom skills than fire-walking ability. He would be more likely to survive through it, while some poor young kids would fail. And that could prove his “dangerous Hogwarts” theory, while he himself could walk away without a single scratch. And, wasn’t Phyllis on Ilvermony’s Quidditch team, according to his limited knowledge? Then she should then be more interested in brooms than coals, right? A straight win-win in his opinion.

Willingly he put his own name down on the sheet, and drew a step back to let others have the chance. When they were finished, he would inquire - “Anything you’d like to do before the game starts? A dance, perhaps?”. If Phyllis expressed any interest in dancing, she would be returned by an appreciative nod, and Maxi would slide into the dancing floor with her. If not, Maxi would just follow her steps to anywhere she was interested in exploring.

interacts Henri de Bourbon (@Regina Miller)
She shuddered slightly when Henri kissed her knuckles, though thanks to her collected nature it was barely noticeable. Lindsey knew that this was a traditional form of greeting ladies in the pureblood committee, yet it was unfamiliar. But if Henri felt comfortable doing it - then she had no objection. She was always open to new ideas, which definitely included various ways of greeting people. Regina seemed normal enough (as well as being elegant and charming in the meantime) though, and Lindsey paid her introduction back with a genuine smile.

Finally she was able to draw her hand back, when Maxi left and she was left alone with Henri. For a moment she was unsure about what to say - Henri seemed a person that valued the proper etiquettes even more than Maxi, and Lindsey was a bit anxious about her deeds. Granted, she knew that she was generally a polite and agreeable person to be around, though she really wasn’t sure if she could successfully meet Henri’s standards. If it were some other people, she would go forward and act as she liked, but Henri was introduced as Maxi’s friend - and she didn’t want Maxi to feel embarrassed if she had done anything wrong.

“I’d love to have a drink if you don’t mind.” she replied with the prettiest smile she could maintain. It was an easy question - between food and dance, she would certainly pick the former one. Even though she had been practicing ballroom dancing since the very day that Maxi notified her about Henri’s presence and could now claim that she could dance as brilliantly as any other girls, Lindsey preferred to play safe. If she must dance later, she would do it - but not now. She needed to get to know Henri more, before deciding if he really was a person to trust.

Approaching the food table, her eyes were soon caught by the various kinds of treats. Eyeing the potluck and slightly regretting that she did not bring anything to the scene for sharing, Lindsey noted to herself that she would certainly pay more attention to these kinds of notices in the future. But you couldn’t blame her - her whole heart was on practicing her dancing, and had not time to think for other things, after all! Before venturing to pour herself a glass of lemonade - her favourite drink for sure - she raised up her head and directed a smile to Henri as if seeking his consent. Then, taking a sip of lemonade and turning back to the blond boy, she slightly raised the glass up. “Cheers, I guess.” she laughed slightly, when a cheerful light glowed in her eyes. No matter how she should enjoy this night, the only ball she had attended in the past year.

“So, how do you like Hogwarts so far?” she inquired him, a bit casually. “I hope you find it agreeable enough.” In her opinion her school had left a somewhat indelible impression - either good or bad - in pretty much all the foreigners’ heart, and possibly Henri would be among them. He was not an often visitor here, was he? “Beauxbatons is a nice school also, and the elegance has always charmed me.” she added. Her silvery voice wasn’t too loud nor quiet, the boldness shown in her younger days rather fading away these days. “I have some cousins attending it, besides Maximilien. They are elder than us though.” she explained, and took another sip from her glass.

Picking up a chocolate chip cookie and naturally tempted by its rich-coloured look, she took a small bite and chewed the biscuit in delight. It was delicious indeed - and she would love to enjoy it, bit by bit. She was always regarded as having a sweet tooth rather then a salty one, and chocolate flavour was something she especially loved besides fruity treats. “These biscuits are rather tasty.” she commented to her companion. “And you wouldn’t regret giving it a try - of course, I mean, if you have a sweet tooth - like me, perhaps.”

Aurelia.

The dance, albeit a short duration of a few minutes, was pleasant. Lysander led, and she followed, both swaying in perfect tempo. Especially with a partner so clearly adept, it would seem that skill, the art of dance, was not so easily lost even if she truly hadn't much practice over half a year. There was a time before when her steps displayed far more fluidity and grace, but with growth and curves setting in, it was unfortunate that her mother didn't see her fit for the girl to continue the discipline of dance any longer, instead, to set her focus on the art of arcane. Yet the compliment she would accept with yet another one of her lovely smiles. The difference in height was now only a mere inconvenience to look up now that their steps came to a gentle sway.
"Has anyone ever told you? That you, Lysander Stavrou, are so incredibly charming." She whispered. He was clearly going with more flattery and Aurelia saw it only fitting to return the favour. The smirk was irresistible, Aurelia wasn't too surprised that the Stavrou had a speciality in dance. She could easily guess, having trained the same for almost her entire childhood. Her hand would proceed to run delicately and gradually down his forearm, eyes gazing intently. His arm with muscles so lean and firm against her fingers was that of an unmistakable ballerino. "Hm, I wonder what else could be."

However, the close presence of another particular couple joining in on the dance floor not far from them would unsettle. She couldn't help but glance to the side with eyes filled with trepidation at a boy with pallid skin and those unnatural crimson eyes. Although he and his date seemed to be too caught up in the moment enjoying themselves, Aurelia just could not. It bothered her that Howard wasn't able to try and maintain his distance even after the recent events that went down. Stopping rather abruptly in the flow of movement, her arms which previously rested in a relaxed closed position would tense up slightly. Aurelia knew well what was to come if she willed herself to stay around the dancefloor - or the dhampir - any longer. The last thing she wanted was to ruin this date.
"P-perhaps, we should get some drinks or... food," A stammer impedimented, one she internally groaned about despite trying to maintain the uplifted air between them. Slightly trembling fingers now entwined with Lysanders, more so for her own comfort, she'd lead them towards the potluck.

Hadrian.

"Hadrian Zuheir." With an outstretched hand, which Hadrian shook firmly, the younger girl took his offer. He had a date now, that was easier than he thought. The dish Seren introduce was not one Hadrian had the capacity to pronounce but she insisted that he tried. It couldn't hurt, or so he thought. The red colour of the dish was alarming and Seren's warning should have deterred the American from picking one of the gelatin-like rolls between her fingers, yet it didn't. As soon as it touched his tastebuds, there the regret grew like the wildfire within his mouth.
It was a firework of different flavours on the American's tongue, exotic and unexpected, but more prominently the stinging of spiciness which drew a sheen of sweat on his forehead. Snatching a cup of punch from the table, he'd drown and extinguish the flavours in his mouth. With a sigh of relief, he'd exasperate, "That was new... like a good kind. But you weren't kidding about the spice. In my defense, will have to say that I am an American." He chuckled.

Then he'd catch sight of the couple approaching the table, hands entwined. Hadrian hadn't thought he'd feel such a level of resentment for someone hadn't spoken a word to, but how could he not? Earlier, they were on the dancefloor, now Aurelia had her arm tightly around the taller boy's. Although they've talked and settled on the nature of their relationship, his feelings, a sentiment of possessiveness and entitlement towards his betrothed were still quite natural. Perhaps it was just how captivating Aurelia was visually.
It was only a moment, he would turn back to the younger girl. She was his date tonight, and Hadrian was to do by her right. But first... he needed to do something about them. "Any chance you'd be keen on participating in the fire torch tag? Sure it'll be great fun, away from this ball and... food fights of the sort apparently. " Hadrian offered his arm, if she took it, he would start in stride towards the sign-up area, seemingly focused on the small talk with Seren. Shortly, he would abruptly collide, the goblet of punch spilling over and drenching silver and pale blue into an ugly red. Dripping running down the length of the pretty lady's dress. At a glance, it would seem like an honest accident, but indeed, it was the contrary.

"My deepest apologies, Miss... Notresvace." Hadrian said almost desperately, acting as if only just realising who she was. Of course, Aurelia was to give him an earful later on, but right now, he was... safe as they both shared a mutual sense of discretion over their relationship. It was almost to his amusement and anticipation to see how she'd react now with him ruining her dress. "The dress suits you gorgeously... I'm incredibly sorry about that." He'd apologise once again, gazing into her so alluring blue eyes, entirely disregarding her date. She's still incredibly pretty when flustered, he thought. Then he'd turn to the girl on his arm, "Seren, love, any chance you'd know the scouring charm?"
Aurelia.

What was he doing? Hadrian was moving dangerously in her direction than her own liking, although seemingly occupied with his own date. They were both matching in azure blue. If things could not get any worse, her suspicions were right. An exasperated gasp left her lips as the cold beverage was tipped on her. Soaking the soft colours in an ugly red. Releasing her grasp on Lysander, she stepped back instinctively. In a mingling of embarrassment, disbelief and anger, her cheeks flushed in a shade of beet red. Her unsettling presence, although always in attendance, leaked heavily like an obnoxious gas around.
"I-" she tried making a coherent sentence despite her frustration with the entire situation. It didn't help at all that Hadrian had complimented her or worse, addressed his date by the endearing word 'love'. "I'm alright. Accidents happen. I know the spell myself." She finally expressed. Her intense glare would set on the younger girl. Judging. She didn't think Hadrian would go for someone so... young. Even though she was admittedly quite lovely, dress and all. With both boys slightly similar in physical features, dark curly hair, tall, tanned skin and dark hooded eyes, one could say, Aurelia had quite a preference.

Celine entered the great hall. She was just a wee bit late to the celebration... Okay, she was awfully late. But it was not really her fault. Or maybe it was but she wasn't intentionally late... Her sister found her birdwatching in the owlery five minutes after the ball had started. She had completely forgotten that it was supposed to happen on this very day, and to be honest, she wasn't that keen on going. She wasn't a big fan of crowds and loud music. However, she knew that her mother would have a fit if she found out that her daughter spent the whole ball night hanging around owls, so she reluctantly let her sister drag her back to the dormitories and throw a cute outfit at her.
She didn't care much for what she was wearing, but to any other person she probably looked exceedingly pretty. She might not have been as skilled at communication and making her family proud as her sister but she certainly had some good genes in her. And her slim figure looked even more exquisite the sky blue ballgown she was wearing with a pair of high heeled white shoes. She looked around, still catching her breath after running barefoot all the way down the stairs to the great hall (and then putting on the shoes while hiding behind a column - thankfully no one saw that). Celine didn't really know what she was supposed to do now. She was looking for a quiet place to settle down and observe people while Celeste was off chatting and dancing with someone. This way she probably wouldn't be forced to talk to them. She was making her way to the farther corner of the room, intending to lean on the wall and pretend she didn't exist when she tripped (yes, she was still rather mediocre at walking in heels - the disaster child, as always) and fell on her face. Fortunately, there was no bleeding, or her mother would forever hate her for ruining the dress, but she was afraid that she wouldn't be able to stay unnoticed now, as she realized in utter horror that she couldn't get up without help since her legs got tangled in the gown and she couldn't break free from the horrendous outfit.

Seren smiled shyly at the hand shake, her own hand trembling just the teensiest bit, giving away her deep nervousness in this situation, but she was trying, very hard, to hide it. Indeed, her face was almost a mask of calm, now, the kind of mask taught at an early age to children who's families had secrets and did not want their children to give them away, though her eyes might tell more than normal... Her eyes held a hint, in the back of them, of an eternal sense of fear, perhaps, hunted or haunted, perhaps both. "A pleasure, Mister Zuheir."

She had not expected him to just go for the Tteokbukki, though she DID show pleasure on her face that he had tried it. She simply was expecting him to make his decision a little more thoroughly. Her warning had been there for a reason, and she did not wish anyone to burn their mouths off. Growing up eating spicy food was something that left her prepared for the volcano of heat, after all.

She had to control her expression even harder, though, at the way he went for the punch. No sign of the desire to giggle would escape her, but she FELT the urge nonetheless. "Ah yes... My Korean family does love heat, and I grew up eating it. My mother, on the other hand, has always had trouble with it, even after years of marriage to my father." Nothing in her tone or words gave any hint of emotion at ALL as to how she felt about her parents. None. There was no affection, no sound of happiness or wistfulness in her tone, but when she had spoken of her Korean family, there might have been just that hint of longing, and missing them. "I thought about asking for Jeon, which do not have to be spicy, but... I find they're just not as nice as when they're fresh off the pan."

She did not notice his momentary focus on the older girl approaching, and thus when he spoke to her, she had no thoughts of anything but their discussion. His mention of the Torch Tag, however, had her falter, her expression going a little nervous, a little sad, and maybe a little ashamed. "If you wish to play, I will happily cheer you on. I..." She blushed, embarrassed and uncertain again, for a moment. This was a weakness, one her parents had loved to prey on, and one that was their fault, too. "I do... Not do well on brooms. Or unenclosed heights, in general, sadly. I... Have a fear of such things, and I would only be a detriment to anyone's enjoyment of the game. But please, do not let me hold you back from enjoying yourself, truly. I do enjoy watching others play."

She loved watching Quidditch, as long as she got a seat in the middle of the stand, so that she was not too close to any edges.

She blinked, for a moment, at the offered arm, and then gave another shy smile, taking it, thinking nothing of it. He was being kind, she thought, and they could begin moving towards other activities... And avoiding the food destruction that seemed immanent. She gave the potential Food Fighters an offended look, because wasting the hard work of others for THEIR fun, or whatever it was, seemed unnecessary and truly unkind, and then glanced back forwards. She was about to speak when her date walked into another young woman's goblet of punch, and a mess occurred. Seren barely avoided being splashed herself, and was looking horrified at the mess the other's dress had become.

Her surprise date's words made her blink. It was clear he knew her, and he seemed strangely focused on her. Until her turned back to Seren, and called her Love, which made the eleven year old girl flush and look entirely confused and flustered. This was an impromptu date, what on earth was going on? He barely knew her, she felt she knew him even less... What? But his question had the very young lady looking down, cheeks redder than ever, and she gave a shy shake of her head. "I am most terribly sorry, I have not yet learned that spell... If I at all caused this, I am also most sorry for that. Your dress is so beautiful, I would never want to ruin it."

She glanced up and saw the older girl's judging look, and her cheeks flamed even harder, her eyes dropping back to the ground, her posture changing. It was not obvious to those who were not trained to watch for it, but if one knew what to look for, it was rather obvious this young woman was now terrified, and prepared to flee, as if she expected pain or punishment.

Pax raised an eyebrow, however they still were smiling, recalling their first encounter. "Yeah, I can see that that's you. It's not really me however, as you probaby know. I like meeting new people. It could be a reason why I enjoy exploring so much, because I get to meet new people."

Laughing a little, Pax shrugged. "Yes, I suppose it is, isn't it? But, each to their own. I'm not going to push you into signing up for a game."

Listening to the conversation between Adelaide and Hiro, Pax couldn't help but intervene. "I like your current hair color, actually. And yeah, it'd be great to come to Mahoutokoro. I've always wanted to visit Japan."

With a quick realisation, Hiro quickly bid the two farewell before hurrying off. Pax turned back to Adelaide. "He seems nice, doesn't he? And that hair color does suit him. I don't know if I could pull it off. I wish I could, however."

They did a quick scan of the room, seeing several people already leaving the hall for the festival in the courtyard. After looking around, they saw no sign of Mandy, so decided to just ask Adelaide if she wanted to head to the festival with them. "I can't seem to find Mandy, my partner. I was going to see if she wanted to go to the festival, but it seems she may have already gone. Would you like to come with me to the festival, and if she's there, I'll introduce you to her?"

Rose, in her focus on the doorway, had not seen Alec start to approach her, and turned to see Alec coming towards her, much closer than he had been before, and her eyes widened. No no no no no no no, she was not ruining somebody's night. She wouldn't- she couldn't. Alec should be out there having fun. He should be talking to that guy he was talking to earlier. He shouldn't be standing by her, trying to make her feel better because she was dumb enough to think that somebody would actually think enough of her to ask her to the ball and actually come.

But at that moment Rose wasn't able to say that out loud because she had just noticed how incredibly sharp Alec looked. From the boy who didn't even bring a coat out in the winter cold, he dressed up really nicely. With white pants and a white shirt and an elegant blue thingy over it... And did he paint his nails with glitter? He just looked so put together, so intentionally elegant.

He looked like a million freaking bucks.

Which was what she was trying not to say at the moment. He was talking about Bryan. His voice was gentle, as he commented that he didn't think Bryan was coming. Rose swallowed, looking down at her hands. "Yeah. I- I know. I probably should have known," she said, shrugging like it was nothing.

He continued, cracking a joke at Bryan's expense, earning a grin from Rose and a small laugh. "I mean, you're not wrong."

Aaaaaaaaaaand now he was asking her if she was okay. Was she okay? Rose didn't know. Though being stood up had taken a blow to her pride, she didn't care about Bryan. It wasn't like she loved him and was heartbroken that he had stood her up. She just felt like a stupid teenage girl for even saying yes to what had probably been only a manipulation tactic on his end. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

But that wasn't the important part here. Alec was just wasting his night on her, and that wasn't okay. There was no way that she was just gonna let Alec reassure her and rub her back or something as she cried or... whatever was supposed to happen when girls get stood up.

"Yeah, I'll be okay," she said. She shook her head. "You don't need to be over here. Honestly. You don't need to give your night away just because I was dumb enough..." she shook her head, biting back the self-depreciating words threatening to come from her. Because if she said them, that meant that Alec was then forced to say that she wasn't, and that simply just... wasn't true. Before he could comment on that, she reiterated herself, "I'll be fine. I just... these events aren't worth it any more."

What could she say that would make Alec forget about her and have a nice night without her ruining it? There seemed to be so many things she wanted to say but had to pull back because he didn't deserve to be put in that position. Nobody deserved to be put in that position.

Rose didn't want to leave Alec, but she didn't want to make him responsible for her. She was considering just... leaving.

"I think I might just... go," she said, though she sounded a little hesitant. "I'm sorry, you look amazing tonight and I just got stood up and... You don't need to be trying to help me out when you could be having fun," she said. Rose didn't even realize that she had thrown in a compliment on how he looked.

Noah's intent on casting the Multicorfors spell, was for the hair. Did he really screw up the intent of each spells? Well... he did learn three color changing spells in transfiguration that year... perhaps it was his lack of paying attention, though highly unlikely, or he was watching Michael in the midst of the lesson.

Curse his stupidity. Curse him. He just wanted to make Ari's hair bright pink, and what did he do? He screwed up, big time. Perhaps there was a force somewhere out there that hated him. Wanted him dead. And so, he was already dead to this force. Like the Power Rangers and the aliens they encounter. Noah's personal favorite, was Dino Thunder, and their main alien enemy was Mesogog.

His wand must not be agreeing with him, or maybe it was just his brain faltering out over exhaustion or pure humiliation, but Noah stumbled towards the Fire Walking sign up thing. He was not paying attention to what he was doing, and he was going to sign up, out of his brain not informing Noah of what he was doing, and this was something Noah would normally curl up into a ball for.

His owl would then flutter off of his cane, and just flap around Noah, hovering above his head, and Noah hoped, was higher than the distance the cats would have to take- possibly.

Well, at the very least she is not wearing a blanket like a toga or an oversized, cinched shirt. She was wearing white of all colors, probably one of the worst options to wear to a ball. The smoke, grass and blood stains alone were a sufficient reason to choose something else entirely. If nothing else, Erin cleaned up well. A gold-colored bangle on her left wrist and a pair of diamond stud earrings that were nearly invisible gave the part Veela a rather understated presence in comparison to some of the more elaborate choices in attire some of the other girls donned.

She felt tall at the very least, wearing a pair of wheat-colored wedges that added four inches to her already appreciable five foot five frame. She was thing, but she did not appear sickly. Her long, blonde hair was simply pulled back from her face, wisps of unruly strands of hair would frame a seemingly clean face. Little did she know and little had she prepared herself for a food fight that would be taking place on the first and potentially only ball that she bothered to clean herself up for. Balls such as the Blossom Ball are known for their chaos and she would not miss the disaster for the world.

Erin would never know of her white knight, Oliver Hart. Oddly enough, while he reviled her, she saw him as her only friend. A sad truth in reality. Oliver was the pudgy, short kid that got pushed around. Hell, in those early years she did a lot of the pushing. Oliver was a strange young man, he had the social graces of a drunken ostrich and he resembled a shaved pygmy puff. A little round center and stumpy little arms and legs. His love of chocolate frogs took from him the fit frame that his peers coveted. He did not seem to care about that, in fact he did not care about the normal things that kids his age would care about. The need or want to fit in, he never tried so he never won. It was like expecting to win the lottery without every buying a ticket, he needed to make a token effort but he never did and for the reason he remained on the fringes of every social circle in Hogwarts.

But he seemed to back her up when she needed it, so she no longer had the predatory drive to chase him down every time he waddled a bit too fast down the halls. She did not have the urge to swat at him when he sat too close or said something that he should have kept to himself. She was a terrible 'friend' in truth, more like a pit bull that did not want to murder that one kid when they walked a bit too close to the edge of her chain.

Edward's attack would ultimately miss. His reason for the attack, an unknown variable. Erin had never met him, they had never even exchanged cursory glances or if they had he had made such an underwhelming introduction that she remained unaware of his very existence. The plight of irrelevance perhaps and the brazen want to be seen through acts of reckless chaos. To be seen and admired by like-minded individuals, those who think little of others and only of themselves. Whose universes are small, yet they thought themselves large [soft handing you since we have not interacted in character really, but if too rough let me know].

The shield charm would prove unnecessary. Erin's 'hero' unrecognized as he never made himself known. She was in the midst of a conversation in truth with Jurgen Hess, second cousin on her father's side and they could not be more different. She was well aware of her father's "eccentricities" and why her family was relegated to a distinct and oft forgotten branch in that family tree. Science was a celebrated subject, as was learning and expanding one's horizons. However, there were limits to ones curiosity and ambition, sadly her father knew not of either. It was what made her so strange, and perhaps they feared that it was contagious. She would fear what she was had she been a spectator as well.

The last time they crossed paths was on her birthday, he had tried to kill her. It was a blood-fueled haze, in the final hours of a painful change that had twisted her body almost to the point of no return. A cursed condition that had addled her developing mind and left her utterly mad. She still felt that creeping madness, that paranoid sense that she was being watched, followed, lied to, and spoken ill of. That who she was and her actions were perverted, tainted and perhaps led by a puppet master via strings she could not see and could only scarcely feel. She knew however that such was simply yes, mad...

Yet, she was far from right and such would be apparent when Hess made himself known. "Oh hi," she announced in greeting. Impassive, indifferent. No grudge or vendetta for a near slaying. No caution or fear, the rightful reactions to a dangerous game that was still being played. "I can't really be shamed, I assure you," she replied politely. There was no need to leave, but she was also not particularly dedicated to staying either.

"Is everything okay, Erin?"

Whowasthat?

She cocked her head to the side as she turned her head to face Serena Towers. Didn't she send her off with Howard White, the guy in dire need of a tan and maybe a bit of iron? She did not see the allure, however she was not attracted to anyone in particular. Boys were... well boys, until they became men at which time they became old people. Girls were... well girls, smelly and noisy and needy. They really always stayed that way, but some became capable cooks so were moderately more tolerable. It was why Jensen was her favorite person, like a domestic pet, her affection was dictated by lunch. "Yeah, I made the grumpy guy admit he was in love with the weird unicorn girl," she pointed at Nicholas McCowan and Aurora Ranvier with the subtlety of a child pointing out the fat woman at the market whilst asking if she is going to have twins. They were still in the midst of an intimate, deep conversation in a public forum but there is a point where that no longer mattered. Erin had worn Nick down enough that said criteria was met. "Why aren't you with Howard, he stares at you almost as much as you do," she commented essentially ruining the man's hopes of having a healthy love life with his presently blossoming relationship with Bloom Silverton.

Just a trick of the lighting they said...

With a vengeful shriek, Edward screamed in pure frustration, and terror. He was going to ask Clair something, something he had been awaiting for, over six months. His reason for his frustration? Vomiting slugs. Thought Mucus Ad Nausuem was bad? Edward would rather suffer through colds, rather than be puking up rather slimy beasts. What the hell was wrong with Edward? What Edward wanted was to... actually, instead of thinking about it, no matter how much it would embarrass him, he would perhaps? ask the rather beautiful girl in front of him something he had been meaning to do for a while.

"Hey- красивый1, wanna- you know- be-" He threw up some slugs, turning away from Clair. "m-more than- just d-" Again, another round of puking.

"dance partners... like- date." He spewed even more slugs.

"будь моей девушкой, пожалуйста... Я уже смущаюсь, сделай так, чтобы это стоило того."2 He said, still vomiting slugs. He was glad it was a diversion. He still did not want to talk about what Clair was referring to. He still did not want to say he was plotting a murder. A murder of her own Housemate. Someone she seemed to admire.

It wasn't his fault he did several things and failed quite a bit. The first, was saying one word in Russian and Clair not understanding it, and Edward not explaining it because he didn't want to say it was the word for Murder. The Second, was casting the Slug Vomiting Charm in an intent for a romantic purpose, to show his bizarre love for Clair.

He attempted to speak the two words to the spell quickly so he didn't burp up more nasty slugs to ruin the spell. "Finite Incantem"
