Dan was... not in the highest of spirits. Not only was his best friend Andrew Vance just gone, just... gone. Out of the blue. Didn't get back on the train.
Andy had been with Dan since the beginning. In his first year, on the first night at hogwarts, the VERY first time he sat at the table, Andrew Vance had befriended him. They'd become fast friends, and were soon practically joined at the hip. For four years, he and Andy had been inseperable.
And then... he just didn't come back. Dan waited for several days, expecting him to be back and apologize for being gone without telling him... but he never did. During the last Quidditch game, he almost expected to see him... But he still wasn't there.
Needless to say, after Oswald Vanigton just abandoned him, this was the last thing Dan needed. Andy leaving devastated Dan. It was so bad that members of his team had to drag him to practices. The only thing that got him to go to classes was the fact that he was getting good grades, and didnt want to ruin it.
But... not having Andy as his study buddy made homework and studying a spiral of depression.
He had to debate with himself for a long long time to decide to go to the ball. He wasn't sure he wanted to. But he was told that he needed to be involved in things to help deal with loss. So, he came.
He picked out some nice clothes, and came in them, and his usual bare feet. He looked for things to distract him from the fact that he is once again going stag to a ball. He found two game sign ups that he could do. One was fire walking and seemed to be involving.... walking on coals?
Dan REALLY wanted to do that one. He was always barefooted, this seemed MADE for him!
But then, he saw another. Broom Torch Tag. This one played to his skills greatly. If there was one thing that would take his mind off of his crippling lonliness, it would be being in the air. He realized with a slight chuckle that his Acrophobia was all but gone when he was on a broom.
Dan lamented briefly that he could only do one, but then he remembered, Andy was gone. So he had no one to show off to, really. So, it would simply be better to join torch tag. So, he went and signed up for it, and then began looking for something else to do or someone to talk to. Maybe someone would come talk to him? He wasn't sure. And honestly was indifferent to whichever one happening.

interacts Maximilien de Fostoncy | @Regina Miller | Henri de Bourbon | @Faye SimmonsAnd finally, she was there. After hours of preparation prior to the ball, the effort was now paying off. Lindsey was in a rather high spirit, and ready to make her appearance. She had asked her cousin Maximilien to meet her outside the Hufflepuff common room days before, and to her delight he did.
It had been an intriguing thing really, that she had actually accepted Maximilien’s pick for a date. Henri de Bourbon used to be an unacquainted name, but weeks ago it became familiar. It seemed that this charming young lad had left a rather indelible impression on her poor cousin, who started filling the letter with a detailed description of how Henri was like. He’s charming, he wrote, and very witty, so you would love his presence. Lindsey was pretty sure that she would be able to recognise her date without Maxi’s help, for the descriptions done by poets were usually much more better than usual person. Henri was described to be charming. Then good. Sounded like she would have a meaningful evening anyway.
Though still she wouldn’t want to approach her date alone. It would be weird and bold if she just knocked on Henri’s shoulder and introduce herself as Maximilien’s cousin. Oh yeah, if this happened a year ago she would certainly do that. But not now. She wouldn’t want to be too straightforward, so she implored Maximilien to conduct her to Henri, and the latter agreed unwillingly, stressing that he should be waiting for his own date at the entrance and therefore could not spare much time for her.
“Oh yes, by the way, who exactly are you going to meet?” she inquired with curiosity. “Someone.” he answered, a bit shortly. Lindsey shrugged upon that reply. She knew Maximilien was at first planning to skip the ball, and it was truly a surprise when he announced that he was actually going with someone. But just someone. Without a proper name. Upon her questioning a few hints had been given here and there, indicating that it was a girl of their age and overall an intriguing person to be around. Lindsey rolled her eyes upon that comment. Finally Maxi had stopped using “lovely” or “charming” or “beautiful” to describe his date, and that was certainly not a good signal.
Deciding to put the thought off for a moment and concentrate on her own self (after all that’s Maxi’s date, not hers), Lindsey carefully smoothed some wrinkles on her dress. The gown was a gift picked by her mother, who assured that she would certainly look gorgeous in white. She had braided her golden brown hair into a bun and decorated it with light coloured hair clips, as well as a small mantilla. Lindsey knew that she looked good. And hopefully, her date would take the same view as her as well.
Scanning around the hall, it wasn’t long before she spotted a platinum haired boy in blue conversing with two girls. Based on Maximilien’s description and her instinct, she presumed that it would be her date, while the girl in a rich purple colour must be his cousin Regina. The redhead [Faye] however was altogether unfamiliar, when she turned to Maxi for help. It seemed that her cousin could not provide her with more information, and the two approached the group together.
Maxi stepped forward and greeted the boy in French, when Lindsey just watched behind with a polite smile. Being 1/4 French she would visit her grandparents in France from time to time, but Lindsey never had the confidence in her oral French skills. She could almost understand long conversations, but she tended to avoid using French at all events. Maxi had promised that Henri was as fluent in English as he did, and there was no need of her to be worried. She hoped so as well, for she really needed an improvement in her French skills before actually using it. “…I am honoured to introduce my cousin Miss Lindsey Florence Evanthe Springhall, and I can assure you that she’s one of the most lovely young ladies you could find around this school.” she heard Maxi switching into English. Ah, that was far better.
“It’s my pleasure to meet you, Henri.” she fought back the thought to laugh upon seeing Maximilien acting so formally, and told Henri with a friendly smile on her lips. “But please, don’t listen to Maximilien! Just Lindsey is fine, and there’s no need for full names.” If Henri was ever interested in a handshake, she would offer her hand to him.
Maxi then ventured further for an introduction to “these two charming young ladies”, and Lindsey’s chocolate brown eyes naturally fell on them. Regina (she supposed that it was Regina) was a good-looking girl with beautiful violet eyes - a dreamy colour indeed, much better than her own boring brown - and the other girl with strawberry blonde hair seemed like easygoing enough to be around with.
“I’m Lindsey Springhall, third year Hufflepuff.” she turned to the two girls with a cheery smile. “You must be Regina, right? Maxi has mentioned you as well.” she explained. Then, offering the redhead a small cheerful nod, she smiled at her. “May I have the pleasure of knowing your name?”
She was already starting to enjoy it. Socialising was always appealing, after all.stats sta 7 · eva 6 · wis 9 · str 8 · arc 6 · acc 12

mentions Phyllis Stanwood (@Bridget Collins)The spring celebration.
He had agreed with Phyllis to meet her on the ball night, and weirdly he was actually a bit looking forward to it. Perhaps he just wished to prove to the Ilvermony girl that he, Maximilien de Fostoncy, was not a coward and the celebration was indeed a dangerous thing, or perhaps there was something more. But no matter how he was fully prepared. As promised he had taken a small white lily with him, waiting to offer Phyllis as a little decoration on her hair or gown. He was sure that she would look beautiful like any other girls around, or even more - Maxi had full confidence in that.
Carefully dressed in a navy blue suit that fit him perfectly, Maxi arrived at the appointed place he had set with his cousin Lindsey. He initially wanted to join Phyllis straightforward and start their dare without disturbance, but his favourite cousin’s earnest request made him think twice. And finally he agreed to introduce Lindsey to his friend Henri first, and would leave for his own date once they were acquainted. Walking with her towards the Great Hall, Maxi couldn’t help but speed up a little - he didn’t wish Phyllis to wait for long.
Lindsey questioned about his date’s name again, marking it as the third or fourth time she’d ask him about it. “Someone.” he answered briefly, not revealing a syllable of Phyllis’s name. His dare with her had been a little secret on his side, and Maxi was keeping it carefully. If there were anything in common between him and Lindsey - who were definitely very different personages - it would be of their curiosity. Flipping his hair and attempting to make it look the best as he could do, he and Lindsey made their way to the entrance.
Even though he wasn’t supposed to look forward to the night, Maxi found himself already starting to anticipate the little game between them. And the cause of all these was Phyllis. Among all the girls he had came across or got acquainted with, Phyllis was certainly different. She was a fiery soul, that’s for sure, though unexpectedly pleasant to be around with. And while he’s always rather timid around lovely young ladies, Maxi was at ease talking with Phyllis. He had to admit that he’s quite fond of her presence. Just think, he was once reluctant regarding joining the ball, but now he was actually looking forward to see something unusual happen - he was very willing to prove that he’s right rather than her, after all! Smiling a little at himself, Maxi was determined to win the dare - someone would surely end up in flames or fly up high, and he would definitely point it out to Phyllis and simply laugh.
The thought of victory made him felt light, and he was sharp-eyed enough to spot Henri (in blue also, what a coincidence!) just in time. Making a gesture to Lindsey - who seemed had also found the small group - he led the way towards his fellow Beauxbatons student. Henri was busy engaged in a conversation with two girls - one of them must be his cousin Regina - and Maxi approached with a timid yet polite smile.
“Evening, Henri. You look fantastic.” He would greet his friend in their mother tongue. “Lindsey asked me to introduce her to you - so I am here. But I would have to be excused once the introduction is done, for someone’s waiting for me to join her.” He told the boy. Then, switching into English, he stepped aside to let Lindsey show herself. “I am honoured to introduce my cousin Miss Lindsey Florence Evanthe Springhall to you, and I can assure you that she’s one of the most lovely young ladies you could find around this school.” he put on a formal expression. Lindsey seemed to be wanting to laugh - but she controlled herself, which was good. The de Bourbons would definitely prefer if they were being polite and had etiquettes.
He watched Lindsey introducing herself in a relaxed manner, and seeing this he no longer held the slightest worry in his heart. Dark grey eyes fell on the two girls standing near the blond boy, and he took a natural guess that one of them must be Henri’s cousin Regina. The darker haired one, possibly. “Though before I leave for my own date, would you do me the honour to introduce me to these two charming young ladies, Henri?” he inquired softly, with his usual gentleness and politeness.
Meanwhile Lindsey had already started familiarising herself with her new acquaintances, and Maxi was forced to introduce himself also. His eyes were casted down to avoid eye-contact with any of the two girls, and his voice was much lower than Lindsey’s - but polite as usual. “Maximilien de Fostoncy.” he heard himself saying so softly. “Beauxbatons, third year - it’s my pleasure to meet you, mademoiselles.”
Glancing at the entrance to make sure that Phyllis hadn’t arrived yet - he should be the one waiting instead of her according to the etiquettes he had learnt from his grandfather - Maxi smiled upon Regina and her friend, while holding his lily’s stem carefully. Smiling was all he could do if he was too timid to talk. He glanced at the overall merry Lindsey, and sighed secretly.
Perhaps he just wasn’t born to be a social person, and that wasn’t his fault - was it?stats sta 7 · eva 8 · wis 11 · str 2 · arc 7 · acc 11

𝕿he raven-haired Gryffindor grimaced when her date mentioned her very obviously messy state as 'soggy', but some colour finally returned to her face when Faye let out a snort characteristically. The longer Regina stared at her, the more she felt her lips threatening to break into a smile as she watched Faye stumbling awkwardly over her words after shooting an accidental compliment with endless fondness in her violet eyes. Yes, it was definitely what she was expecting from Faye and it surprisingly didn't bother her as much as it would have just a month prior. It was almost dangerous how Regina was growing attached to her underclassman's clumsy personality, but she found it incredibly pleasing.Interacting with @Faye Simmons, Henri de Bourbon, @Lindsey Springhall, Maximilien de Fontoscy

"Thank you. I must say, it was a wise choice on my part to gift you that gown, it looks radiant on you," The Heiress spoke gently, then realised how she'd allowed a bit of softness to filter through and immediately turned her nose up in the air. "Not that you would have had anything appropriate for this kind of event, of course. So you should always come to me for formal clothes."
Before the two girls could say anything else however, a third presence suddenly appeared in the form of blue-grey suit and all of his charming glory, prompting Regina to turn towards the smug smiling face of her French cousin.
The ravenette rolled her eyes at his remark."My, what have you gotten yourself into, ma chère cousine my dear cousin? Did somebody choose you as a victim to garner attention? You are in a bit of a désordre mess there."
"What an astute observation, Henri. It is not as if everybody cannot see it already."
Despite the little sarcastic banter, Regina was actually grateful that Henri had chosen to fix her appearance instead of joking at her expense any further. Should the Scouring Charm succeeded, she would give him small quirk of her lips as a silent gratitude. The two of them had always been close since childhood and shared the same ideals, but even if the motives and end goal were very different, Regina knew she could always count on Henri to have her back. A light blush painted her cheeks when her cousin introduced himself to Faye, implying that she'd been talking about her to him and had called her lovely--which was not a lie, but Regina did not want to talk about the obvious romantic subtext.
A few moments later the Gryffindor watched as two more people joined their little group, one extremely handsome French boy and a pretty brown-haired girl. The boy introduced himself as Maximilien de Fontoscy and Henri's friend (which made Regina surreptitiously quirked an eyebrow as she shot a suspicious glance at the blond, because she knew of Henri's true feelings about the notion) and presented the girl as his cousin Lindsey Springhall. It made sense now that Regina had never seen her before as they were in separate years, but Henri's letters prior to his arrival at Hogwarts had supplied her with enough knowledge to recognised the description provided to her in regards to Maximilien and the other Hufflepuff.
"Regina Allura Miller, second-year Gryffindor and youngest Heir of four," She greeted both newcomers politely. "I have heard quite a lot about you, Mr de Fontoscy. All good things, I assure you. It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Lindsey."
Regina was almost amused by the way Maximilien seemed to be avoiding her gaze, having a bit of a shy air to him. It wasn't unpleasant though, it was actually a nice change from the usual peacocking she was used to by handsome Pureblood wizards. Lindsey seemed eager to socialise however, a complete opposite from her dark-haired cousin. Regina was adapting a poised and elegant stance now, the little scuffle at the beginning of her attendance fading gradually into the back of her mind in favour of enjoying the rest of the evening.

Interacting: @Emmy Wynn as Louca
|
|
Haley was more than excited and was already looking forward to the evening. Louca had spontaneously asked her if they wanted to go together when they had talked about the ball and she said yes. Even though Haley had decided not to go to the ball, she had spontaneously changed her mind. Spontaneity + spontaneity = good decision, as she was happy that she hadn't stayed true to her principles and changed her mind. Now she stood there once again, in a dress sent to her by her grandmother, as she did every time, pinned back her hair and looked down at herself in the mirror one last time. With a satisfied smile, she looked from head to toe. From her long red curly hair, the front part she had pinned back and the rest fell in big waves down her body. She wore a dress that was trimmed with flowers and fit her like a glove. She stroked everything so that it was just right and scurried out of her dorm towards the great hall.
The closer she got, the more nervous she became. She noticed the palms of her hands getting sweatier and sweatier and for a moment she thought about whether it would be better to turn around. No, she couldn't do that to Louca. But in return she had to do it to herself to run into Simon. Gosh, she hated the thought, but she knew without having to know that Simon would be there and he wouldn't be alone. It was a strange feeling, they used to go to these balls together and even though it had been some time since the break up, she had partly put it behind her, it was still strange.
But she had to show herself the good things, she would spend a nice evening with a friend, she would see Charles, Miles and many more friends. She couldn't wait to whisk them all away for a dance and the more she imagined this fun evening, the more the nervousness and the thought of Simon and AngelFyre faded away. It would be a good evening with good friends and no heartbreak. With that thought, she arrived at the big door and already couldn't wait for the evening to begin.
Haley walked through the door, Louca and she had agreed to meet at the entrance and so she stood to the side so as not to obstruct the other students who were about to enter the room. Her eyes roamed the great hall, admiring the decorations and taking the moment to notice everything. Contrary to habit, banners from all the schools currently staying here at Hogwarts hung on the walls. Colourful flowers were all over the place, no matter where the eye looked, there were flowers everywhere. And then of course there was the Goblet, how could Haley have forgotten it for a moment? Tonight was not only an evening filled with joy, laughter and dancing but also the champions would be chosen tonight.
So while Haley stood there waiting for Louca, she kept an eye out for Charles, she had been looking forward to seeing him again for days. She also hoped to meet Miles and probably some of her snake friends.

Wearing : Dazzling Avian Dress Robes - Crow Variety. Black. Black. Black.
He was late. Everyone was already there at the ball, which suited Cain just fine. He watched his roommate getting ready with the myriad of suits he owned, each one tailored and made with expensive looking fabrics and fastenings. Every one of them would look good on Draven, but not one of them was good enough it seemed.
"Girls have it easier." he'd grumbled in Cain's direction while the other was getting dressed.
"They have dresses in all colors under the sun."
He couldn't decide what to wear or even if he should still attend, but it was seeing Draven get ready and head off that made him decide finally. He retrieved the package his mother sent him with new dress robes and sighed and put them on. He requested a certain special robe from the store, but of course she sent two other more respectable looking ones to silently suggest that he wear those instead. "That might also mean girls have too many choices to pick from. I'm not sure which is worse." He'd seen the girls passing notes and magazines in class, discussing which shoes, accessories and make up to wear with whatever number of dresses they picked out. He thought if he were a girl he wouldn't bother, but then here he was worrying about the same thing. He didn't want to look dumb.
He spread his palm face down over the enchanted fabric, the birds fluttering and flapping out of the way from his touch. It even had a hood should he feel cold or be out in the rain- which he really shouldn't do in these robes anyway. The description said they would attract birds of the likeness on the robes, which as he touched them they turned into flocks of crows as if to match him. Well, perhaps they would, but he hoped not too much or he'd end up causing some trouble at whatever buffet table he found himself at. That was inevitably where he'd find himself in the end anyway.
Underneath the "dazzling avian robes" with crows decorating them, he wore a plain black button up shirt, black dress slacks and black sneakers. Yes, no dress shoes for him. He'd heard from older classmates what these sorts of events tended to attract, dangers and falling tents and fire and creatures. He wanted to be able to run without slipping on his flat and heavy dress shoes. "Sorry, mother. No one will be looking at my feet anyway."
It was the present once more, here he was, fashionably late perhaps and edging through crowds while spotting a few familiar faces. Instead of the tables that slowly filled with plates of food that students had brought, he found himself near the floral displays and plucked at a few of the chamomile flowers and leaves. Cain make some tea with these later.
Or try to, he'd read a book about it somewhere.

Kamila ran into the ball once again checking her reflection in her mirror. She smiled she still looked practically perfect. Kamila now just hoped that she had not overdone anything. Kamila finally came back to her surroundings and looked around it seemed like she would blend in perfectly.
Noticing all the little aspects that Hogwarts had used to make the international students--like her--feel welcome gave her a sense of inclusivity that she had not felt before in Hogwarts. Kamila pranced over to where she saw the chamomile one of her favorite flowers, and also Russia's national flower. After examining the chamomile for a moment Kamila went to explore other pieces of decor.
Then she stopped at the tables they were no longer decorated with the Hogwarts house colors but instead with food from every country. Kamila nibbled on a few of her favorite foods before moving on. Then she turned toward the goblet of fire which she had already put her name in. Watching its flames flicker. Knowing soon her name would be removed from it when Kamila Yavlinsky was announced as a hexwizard champion.
Taking her mind off of the tournament Kamila began to enjoy the music. She watched happy couples dancing together. Trying not to be envious of them she reminded herself. Maybe next year that would be her.

Everything had to be perfect, her hair, her make-up and her dress. Even though Elizaveta had used the comb of vanity to do her hair and the cosmetic puff to get her make-up perfect, she was still running late. A large portion of the time she was supposed to get ready for the ball, Eliza had spent daydreaming about it. She had thought out how Julian would compliment her, how they would dance and all the other students would watch in awe.
After checking her hair and make-up what seemed like a thousand times, she was finally satisfied. With her bag containing nothing more than her wand, a comb of vanity and the cosmetic puff, she hurried to the great hall. Maybe she could pull the being late off as being fashionable late? She hoped Julian wouldn't be too annoyed with her, since he was one of the few people at Hogwarts she liked. It was weird, but she felt comfortable with him. He hadn't laughed at her when she was crying as many other kids would do, instead, he had helped her and made sure she was okay.
She wondered what her prince charming was wearing as her green eyes scanned the crowd for him. They had agreed to meet just outside of the great hall, so they could enter the ball together. Eliza had high expectations of her first ball at Hogwarts and about her date. She looked at the beautiful flowers, which seemed to cover every piece of the entrance to the great hall, and she realized her dress fitted perfectly with the theme. Extremely glad about her outfit, Elizaveta finally found her date, who probably had been waiting for her for a while already. As she approached Julian, she gave him a little smile. "I am sorry I am late," she said sincerely, hoping he didn't mind too much. They could still have fun even though she was later.

The Ravenclaw gave another grin when her date complimented her, even if she did take it back at the last second. She’d never been described as ‘radiant’ before. God, this girl could push her to the ground and she’d thank her for it. Why did she care so much when her opposite cared so little? Faye murmured a winded ‘thanks’, but was stopped from another spiral of rambles by the arrival of a blonde boy.
He wore a nice suit, sure, but he spoke funny. What were all those strange words he was saying? What did he mean by ‘chere’? Was Regina a cherry? Her eyes moved from the new arrival, promptly named ‘Henri’ by her date, to the latter like she was watching a tennis rally, wondering whether to gaze into Regina’s eyes some more or investigate Henri.
If the charm should succeed, Faye would steal a long look at Regina’s now-dry outfit, her cheeks turning slightly pinkish. She would be pulled out of her trance by Henri addressing her, lowering her head to stare at his outstretched hand.
“You talk funny. Enchant? Why would you enchant me? I’m doing perfectly fine without any enchantments, thanks.” The Ravenclaw kept her head down at his hand, refusing eye contact. However, this statement was quickly revoked by his next words, her head flicking up swiftly to meet his.
“Oh, you’re Regeena’s cousin? Mint! Rad! Astounding! She talks about me? She led me to believe that she hated me.” Faye turned her head towards the object of her desires conversation, pulling a smug face. Still, underneath, it made her warm and happy that she cared about her, even if it was a tiny bit.
Then, the slightly tolerable group of three became a group of five, with two more random people walking up. It made the conversation all a bit claustrophobic, the little gnomes in her head starting to rebuild her wall of anxiety. This wall seemed to be fully built when both the boy with the same strange voice and the pretty girl asked her to introduce herself. Frozen to the spot, she looked down at her feet, finding comfort in the rainbow-clad trainers underneath her dress.
“Faye. I’m Faye. Hello. Welcome.” She said, letting out an awkward giggle of embarrassment before sliding closer to Regina, her side nearly squashed into her own. No thoughts went into this action, and she felt her cheeks warm again at the proximity.
“Do you know who they are? Sorry, I really did mean it when I said I wasn’t good at this. Honestly, I thought I was going to stalk you the entire ball. I get really jittery and-” Faye mimicked this by shoving her shaking hands in her eyeline, before deciding against it and putting them at her side.

Midspring Celebration
Mikael walked into the ball his stride clipped with hidden anger that seemed only to grow and roll about like a brewing storm. He truly was unsure why he had even agreed to come to another one of these drasted balls. The last ball he had been to at this poor excuse of a school had not particularly gone well. Though, it was not like he had walked into the ball with an open mind. Growing up he could count on his hand the number of balls he had been to, but those had been when he was younger. As he grew older so did the lack of influence his family had. Nothing more was left except the bones of a once influential and powerful family. To put it blandly he disliked balls, and if it were not for the fact that Yefim and Valentin had begged him he would not have been here.
His eyes narrowed in thinly disguised disgust as he took in the bright colors the other students had decided to wear. Such a stark contrast against the bland and out-of-place outfit he had chosen. Besides, Yefim and Valentin had only asked him to come. To help raise chaos that could not be simply squashed. Not to play dress-up with the other students. The boy would frown to himself as he wondered what he should do. He had never been one to come up with plans. Usually, Yefim would be the one who would direct him towards a goal. Mikael would follow. It seemed like the only option at times.
Yet, among the sea of people, he was on his own. A lost ship in the sea of people. He did not want to run to Yefim, as if he were a coward, he had to keep pushing forward. Mikael licked his lips before narrowing his eyes as he glanced about at the moving bodies around him. The hand not holding onto his wand was tapping his thigh. As if playing upon an imaginary piano. A part of him despised the almost desolate feeling that washed over him as his gaze caught the figures of those laughing about him. A want to be normal and to be accepted bubbled to the surface. Yet, he knew the price of normality and acceptance. Mikael never wanted to lose sight of his truer self again for a few faux smiles.
The boy stopped in his tracks as he stared down at a curly-haired boy. He was not too sure why this boy seemed to stick out from the others or why he had decided to focus his attention completely on him. Maybe it was the other's weird coat or maybe it was the other's demeanor. Whatever it was he had made a decision. His eyes would bore into the other as he stared the other down from a few yards away. Mikael's mind moved as he tried to figure out exactly how to ruin this boy's night so completely. To destroy any sort of happiness the other could scrap together. With that thought in mind, he would move towards the other. Each step brought a buzzing feeling deep within his chest. Mikael was not too sure if it was from excitement or nervousness, but he could not find it within himself to care. The boy would stop a few short feet away from the curly-haired boy. Paying little attention to the masked boy nearby. "You." he would say eventually.
