Homework in HiO feels like real life homework, no offense. That's why I don't do it. I can barely focus on real life homework, so having to write a bunch of words for hw is tiring. And then I forget a bunch of stuff that I didn't consider and get a P.Aurelia Notrésvace wrote: 6 Apr 2022, 11:23Reducio@Regina Miller @Simon Corbin @Juniper Kelly @Simon Kincaid @Noah Jupe @Vienna Goodwin @Wyatt Starkey @James Owen
i spoke with some of you about it, but id like to share. i find that it's incredibly challenging for me to do hio homework. the whole having to read bits and pieces of long as lectures (often skipping parts) + reading the questions and having to look back at lecture again + refering to 'the textbook' aka wiki then looking back at lecture + sometimes misinterpreting questions + meeting the points required and word count on questions + the professors strict grading doesn't help much either. (they can also be quite critical ;-;) it takes forever to complete a hw only worth 1-5 house point and doesn't seem too worth it with the time spent.
soemtiems i get so annoyed when brain won't cooperate that I try and speed it through which gives me a bad grade usually lol.
worst part is having to write the rps. that's usually when my brain often doesn't want to and it can become quite excruciating to make the brain do something it doesn't want to for me. I actually used to recycle/reuse hw rps long time ago because of it, but obv, lots of upset professors. and i often leave and come back to that homework only after months - often surprised that i have a half drafted hw that i dont recall doing.
I am also unmedicated, but not sure if meds will do much to change this tbh.
I am trying to find an easier way to get through homework and earn points. If only I can hyperfocus that easily. But there really isn't much lol ~~aside from like recycling rps which is a nono~~. it's def one of the not-so-ADHD friendly aspects of hio from my experience. id like to hear your experience with hio hw. I may also have a mini interview with professors on gathering some tips for us adhders to make hw experience a little better.

Pretty good. Someone just told I'm too open with my words? Is it because I call the jerks out or straight up tell people my opinion of them when they're annoying me? Probably. But IM SORRY I'd rather be straight forward than afraid too speak my opinion
