Extressia was trying to be contributing to the conversation. It seemed she didn't necessarily fail but wasn't making the best impression, and she trying to have an emotionless face like she understand her own argument when it was more of a jumble of what she wanted her point to be about.
And the worst part was that she just remember to properly introduce herself, and that should start with her name. Extressia in her mind really wish to leave, but she could feel the silent judgment on her. But with the current status quo, she couldn't put it in without it feeling forced, then again her entrance to the conversation felt forced. Probably the best course of action is to agree with him. Besides, he did make a good question, even if she kinda understand the word he was using, and it was clearly not meant for her, so why answer, so she decided to back him up, then a thought found her:
"Wait I don't know their names either." thought Extressia blankly. She didn't know what to do with that statement, so locking it up until it a good time to ask, here we go.
"Yeah explain to us about that, please. Oh also sorry for the rudeness of not knowing my name, it Extressia." she said that last part a bit quicker. Looking with a hopefully neutral face, though there was most likely some hint of nervousness.

𝕽egina's eyes instantly narrowed at the other Gryffindor girl. Had she not realised just which person she was speaking so highly off, and in public no less, in front of other students and Hogwarts staff?

"I advise you not to throw that name around so carelessly," She responded coldly. "After all, the Boy Who Lived was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in Azkaban just two years ago. Not quite a 'great wizard', as you so idiotically and boldly claimed."

The raven-haired young witch pointedly ignored the informal introduction. Who did this halfwitted girl think Regina was? She was the youngest heiress of an outstanding Pureblood family, she would not address any stranger so intimately by their first name. Only a few were deserving of that privilege, and this Half-blood and Muggleborn defender was certainly not included amongst those people, especially not with that apprehensive attitude and the sheer rudeness. How plebeian.

Instead of humouring Extressia any further, Regina refocused her attention back to Hui, the preferred individual that she was beginning to take a liking in, but not the fond and positive kind. No, it was the sort of morbid curiosity that one would compare to keen interest, like an experiment. A subject to prod and play with, just to incite a reaction. She was mildly surprised--and dared she say, pleased?--that Hui had made no attempt for rebuttals nor snide comments in regards to her previous explanation. Regina realised that perhaps she had managed to reach some level of understanding with Hui, and even though his loaded question should have irritated her, the Gryffindor's otherworldly orchid eyes were lightened with glee despite her practiced neutral expression.

"Precisely, Hui. The a part of the answer is in your inquiry itself--what was the cause that had birthed Dark Lords and wizarding wars in the first place?" The Heiress leisurely refilled her cup with water, allowing the dramatic pause to settle in as she take a small sip before continuing. "Unlike most people, I do not blindly align myself with any side be it Light or Dark. In a battlefield, only the strongest prevails. But Voldemort, pity that his sanity was not the finest during the years before his defeat, had an excellent incentive in the beginning of his reign. He wanted to abolish the line between Light and Dark Magic and segregate the Wizarding World from the Muggle World completely, for he too, understood that Muggles presented a threat to our community."

It was dangerous to speak of such a notorious Dark Lord in a supporting manner--considering all of the damage the Second Wizarding War between Lord Voldemort and Harry Potter in the late 1990's had engendered--but Regina's knowledge of the matter was enough to convinced her some of his motives had been agreeable. At least, to those who possessed a morally grey compass. Magic was powerful on its own and it was unfortunate that there was a Light and Dark separation--there should not be any discrimination imposed on such a gift. Regina would hold her own opinions in secret to protect herself from...nosy individuals and suspicion from the Professors, but she was prepared to educate these two underclassmen of Pureblood traditions and their resentment of Muggleborns.

"During ancient times Muggles have been afraid of wizards for potential of darkness in our magic as they saw it as harmful, and sought to hunt and burn many ancestors of many current wizard families," Regina explained. "This is why the Wizarding World is hidden away from their eyes. Muggles cannot understand magic like we do, and I believe not they are even aware that we exist, safe for Muggleborn families, of course. Small mercies, that. Because Muggle Wars have negatively affected our world throughout history, who knows what they would do now if they all knew that we live and thrive in plain sight, right under their noses."

The Gryffindor folded her arms on the table, her back straight and posture stiff as her beautiful features were slightly twisted when a disdainful sneer formed upon her lips.

"And as for our traditions that have been so demeaningly casted aside to please Muggleborns, I shall give you one of the most prime example. Nowadays students of Hogwarts, even wizarding families, celebrate Halloween and Christmas instead of Samhain and Yule. You cannot fathom how Purebloods felt when two of the most traditional holidays of Wizarding Britain were abandoned in favour of Muggle festivities. Several sacred rituals and archaic customs, gone. Unless you are born into a traditionalist Pureblood family, you would never know the extent of what has been lost for decades."

Regina condescendingly hoped Hui and Extressia would consider this an enlightening moment for lesser bloodlines such as them. It was a sensitive subject to many purists such as her family, and it was unrecommended to discuss of it as it may create conflict between peers with different ideals. The Slytherin boy and the redhead Gryffindor were the first people that she had openly--and willingly--relied the information to.

The slightest nod towards the newcomer. Miss Extressia had demonstrated that they lacked the class that comes with good breeding and a proper education, but she at least had good intentions. Miss Miller’s reaction, though, was something else. Yes, Ming did not have the patience to deal with the loud and unrefined masses, but it fell upon the privileged to help out those who were less fortunate. Noblesse Oblige, they called it. Or the social contract. And Miss Miller, for all her alleged class, was in violation of this basic tenant when someone with less privilege was asking for her help.

Sharp words for those willfully flouting the rules of polite company was proper; even avoidance of distasteful crowds could be condoned. But this outright rudeness was…crass and unbecoming.

Nor did the upperclassman have arguments that were particularly convincing. Ming could not comment on the important of the pagan festivities, but in his mind a big part of its decline for that was a relative culling in pureblood numbers, something that wizarding wars played a large part in. For all the alleged purity in intentions of the Dark Lords, all they managed was a dilution of pureblood lines in Wizarding Britain. The names Crouch and Lestrange came to mind, but surely there were others. And with every pureblood family that dies out, the lore and lineage and culture of magical society dies out just a little bit more, to be replaced by the culture of the influx of newcomers from his world.

But Miller did not seem interested in that line of questioning, instead choosing to make this about the dangers of the mundanes and the difference between the Light and the Dark. Was it an intentional attempt to avoid his question, to save face when she had no answers? Or was the upperclassman so steeped in their own world and frustrations that they simply could not see the world as it was?

“This is all very interesting, Miss Miller” he said slowly, placing his words very deliberately. It was a struggle not to make a snide or sarcastic comment, when she proved herself increasingly ripe as a target of some caustic remark. “But not really an answer. The mistake is mine for not being clear, of course. So please allow me to make another attempt.”

A small pause, as the boy attempted to gather his thoughts. “If there is only one pureblood at Hogwarts for every three whose blood is not pure, governance by democracy would lead to pureblood culture losing its hold on magical society.” The Asian boy looked at the upperclassman then, to see if she could keep up with his point. “So what is magical Britain doing to teach newcomers and outsiders – these Mudbloods, so to speak – of the importance of wizarding culture, or pagan rituals, and of lost magic?”

The curtains fell. And the silence was deafening

OOC: Sorry for late response, laziness and a bit of burnt-out took over me to reply. @Hui Ming, @Regina Miller
Extressia was really uncomfortable, Regina definitely didn't like her and that bug her, while Hui seemed neutral, which she at least can accept. Looking at it in the perspective of Regina. Sure it was clear that their history she won't know if she wasn't naturally in the wizarding world and there were some good points in preserving of culture, but Hui also has good points that why haven't taught the newcomers about the culture, they can learn about this new world, and maybe make a combination of pros of both world and make some magic. Besides, they are learning the history, even the bare surface.
"I agree with Hui and don't say because there isn't enough blood purists around, there are books about the ritual and custom, but nobody help us find them or understand them. Besides the muggle culture can give you something new and exciting to understand, the objectively somewhat more advance machines, like with the people who didn't live in the wizarding, all the magic spell and talking hat. We need to compromise that there might be some loss on the wizarding world for muggles holiday, and I guess vice versa with us. All I saying is that you let us learn the more intricate part of the wizarding world that might not necessarily be written down, rather than complaining, and maybe be more open to the muggle culture. Does that make sense?"
Extressia thought it was a good speech, maybe there were some holes she haven't thought about, but it was for the people in conversation to comment about.

"𝖂hat are we doing to teach you Muggle lovers about the wizarding world? What kind of question is that? Your presence apart of our community is not enough learning knowledge for you?" Regina couldn't believe what she was hearing from both of them. "And how dare you insinuate that the loss of our culture is compensable to accept Muggle holidays? Despicable."

It was becoming increasingly difficult to remain objective and calm in front of these...Mudblood elitists who understood nothing about the world they were currently living in. Regina's hands clenched into tight fists to refrain from losing control of her carefully hidden emotions.

"You should be grateful that you are allowed the privilege to have magic and study at one of the most prestigious magical schools in the world," The ravenette spat. "Your attempt at questioning wizarding culture is incredibly imbecilic. By being here you could already see the things wizards and witches can do that the ordinary Muggles cannot. We have invented things, great things. We can wield powers that they cannot. And our customs will always be more prosperous than yours."

Her parents had always taught her to be proud of her lineage and the power that came with being a Pureblood. She was born to become something extraordinary, above all those with their bloods and magical potential diluted. Those who had forgotten thousands years of tradition and paganism. Regina didn't need to know about the Muggle world to know they were lesser in every way--she couldn't imagine living in a place where the wonders and potency of magic did not exist. Hui Ming and Extressia Leo's foolish Muggleborn elitism was getting on her nerves and putting a sour mood to her morning. She might have been amused enough to play along with the debate at first, but now she was quickly losing interest. It was clear that they didn't understand--how could they, when they were not born as a purist and would never watch their own culture and ideals disappear gradually to adapt to lesser bloodlines.

This conversation was quickly becoming inutile in her eyes. It was almost time for class anyways, and Regina did not wish to linger there to appeal to their small dimwitted minds any further.

"I feel like we have reached an impasse that cannot be swayed. There is nothing you can say to convince me otherwise that Half-bloods and Muggleborns are the better of Purebloods. We don't talk about Half-breeds, Merlin knows they are causing enough trouble with their little S.C.A.R.A.B group that attacked the Hogwarts Express last year and caused the deaths of many Gryffindor students."

The Heiress stood from the table, her tone and posture imperious as ever as her sharp boysenberry eyes glared down at Hui and Leo from her nose.

"If there isn't anything wise you would like to say, I shall be taking my leave."
