HISTORY

Before receiving her letter for Hogwarts, Selena lived near a river on a farm in Bristol, England. Every morning she woke up to the most beautiful view of the sunrise hitting the water. She lived there with her parents and older brother, Will, younger sister Ella, and older sister Isabella. The four siblings are all very close. They do almost everything with each other and keep almost no secrets.

Will is sixteen years old, Bella is thirteen years old, and Ella is seven years old. This makes a span of about two or three years between each child, but they treat each other as equals in every way. They are the best of friends. Each of them seemed to have a specialty trait that rose above the others though. For Selena, that was her intelligence and creativity. For Ella, it was her emotional capacity to understand others. For Bella, it was her kind nature. For Will, it was his quick thinking.

Her parents met in Italy when her mother was taking a educational trip to study and her father was on a Ministry assignment. Her father did not tell her mother he was a wizard until after they got married for fear of scaring her off. Once told, her mother was uncertain at first, but was too deeply in love with the man she knew to leave him. After living with him for a few years, Selena's mother began to get used to the magic and now feels it is all just a part of her daily life.

She was rather a social recluse in school. This is because she spent all her time with her head buried in a book instead of practicing "social interaction." Selena was very proud of her knowledge though, and didn't care what others thought of her.

FIRST MAGIC

Selena doesn't like to be boxed in creatively, and though she can keep calm in stressful situations she takes her creative freedom much more seriously than some other things. The kids and teachers from her childhood found that out very quickly when she levitated herself accidentally onto the ceiling because of some restrictions of out of the box thinking during that lesson. It was the first instance of magic. The memories of the class of course had to be obliviated by the Ministry.

Shortly after the levitation incident, Selena's parents told her that she was a witch and was destined to go to the greatest school of magic in the world: Hogwarts. As they had said, when she was eleven, she received her letter inviting her to Hogwarts. She was thrilled, as was the rest of her family.

PERSONALITY

Selena Arden is smart, creative and quick-witted. She has the incredible ability to keep a cool head and calm in difficult situations, which allows her to think through any problem that arises. She takes pride in her unique perspective and vigorous intellect, and Selena isn't afraid to stand out in the crowd to show her creativity and inventiveness. Selena often gets lost in thought, and even when she's paying attention, she almost never stops thinking. She sometimes seems to live in an endless daydream, but she is introverted, independent and a little reserved. She tires of socializing quickly, but will really open up with people she is close to. However, everyone has their bad traits. Selena's are insensitivity, impatience and bluntness. She is unapologetically honest, which leads to insensitivity, even though she doesn't mean to be. It's also very likely that if you make her wait, she'll get impatient quickly.

APPEARANCE

Selena has blue-gray eyes that are like looking into deep water. She has light brown hair. Her everyday attire is something along the lines of sports or leather jackets with a plain shirt underneath. She sometimes wears headbands, but otherwise her hair is left down, or in a braid.
