A Warm Welcome

We are pleased to announce six members to the Headliner. Please give a warm welcome to Alan Vanes, our newest Full-Time Writer; Robert Toukmond, our newest Editor; and Evelynn Decipio, Liana Kerr, Cassandra Ironwoods, and Serena Towers as our newest Back-Up Writers. Evelynn was previously an Editor who filled in for short issues, but has made the jump to write articles officially. Congratulations! For a full list of Headliner members, please click here.

Additionally, late congratulations to Delilah Stewart and Willow Anderson for their promotion to Full-Time Writers. They were excellent Back-Ups and we look forward to seeing what they are capable of when provided with greater opportunities to contribute.

More information concerning graphics will release over the next few days. If you are interested in the graphics position, please begin preparing (with the same application) for a possible extension.

I also would like to take this time to thank everyone who applied or showed interest in applying. We were blown away by the amount of submissions and having so many great candidates made it very difficult to narrow down our choices. We look forward to seeing you all next time!

3 Graphic Designers Needed!

We are looking for three (3) graphic designers. Designers do not write or edit. Designers are the last step of the publishing process and compile pages together after articles pass from the editors' hands. Our main program for designing is Canva, which is free and collaborative. There is no coding required for Canva, but simple copy+paste skills and an eye for organization. If you can use Word or Google Docs, you can use Canva! This position requires activity during the last two to three weeks of the workload per issue.

Discord Announcement wrote:Sorry to ping you all so late, but I have a big announcement.

I'm going to be stepping down.

I've been very busy already in real life being a senior in high school, but there are some new things as well. I haven't fully recovered from covid and I'm having lingering side effects that are messing with my day to day life and causing some health complications. Namely I'm struggling very badly with fatigue and shortness of breath. It's making it hard for me to be online for long periods of time because I'm so tired and mentally incapable of focusing. I fully intended to return to the team when I was back to full health, but right now I don't know when that will be, so it is in the best interest of the team that I hand the EiC role off the Phae.

Phae has already accepted the position and there is honestly no better person for it. How she goes about filling the secretary/co-editor position is entirely up to her, but I trust the spot will be filled with an equally capable person.

While I won't be a member of the team any longer I will pop in and check on you guys from time to time and I hope one day I'll be able to return to the community again and interact with you guys. Until then, you all know my DMs are open so don't hesitate to chat with my from time to time.

A Formal Goodbye

The Headliner is sad to announce the resignation of Graphics team leader, @Ami Procoppio, from our ranks. Ami was an outstanding contributor to our modern design and a constant backbone to the workload that is graphics. We wish them the best in their real-life obligations, and since they depart on positive terms, will graciously accept any decision of theirs to return to us in the future.
