XXXIt was very clear who the underdog was here. Poor Angel got hit full force with multiple spells. The mediwizards carried her away, and now there were only five left standing on the stage. Eonaria wasn't sure what to do now, though she did wince slightly as Derek was sent flying into a wall. That had to have hurt, too. The shift in the dynamic did snap her out of her idleness, though. She couldn't leave her team hanging now.

For the first time in this duel, Julia felt useful. Unfortunately, things had taken a turn for the worst for Ravenclaw it seemed. Angel was hit by both Eric and Derek and her own spell backfired on her. The poor girl was knocked unconscious, which meant julia and violence were on there own. Violence attempted a rictumsempra aimed at eric, but the boy evaded swiftly well before the spell came near him. Fortunately, Julia managed to hit derek with a flipendo, weakening him a bit. There wasn't much time left, and while she remained un hurt, she had no doubt the lions would start to target her soon. What seemed like the millionth time, she raised her wand and got ready, trying to stay optimistic

Yet another uneventful round. Man these kids were too chill. "I'd congratulate everyone on achieving perfect battlefield equilibrium, but I don't think standing still counts as strategy."

"Fantastic display from our competitors today. Truly inspiring. The air has been struck several times, nobody has moved, and the spectators have witnessed the rare art of competitive inactivity."

She clapped once. Silence.

"Next round. Let's see if someone remembers this is, in fact, a duel."

A plethora of emotions clouded her brain, as if everything wanted to be recognized at once. Anger, sadness, joy, and everything else. Both teams stood still and as satues, only their eyes moved. The moderator seemed beyond annoyed and Julia honestly couldn't blame her. 5 kids stood doing nothing when they had a wand at their disposal. They were tarnishing the reputation of duelling, making it from the most action heavy to the most boring thing on the planet. Maybe she was over exaggerating but there was really nothing left to do. She could of course duel, but during a moment of such drama, that was beside the point. It felt like a movie scene. When something big–like angel getting knocked out–happens and everyone freezes. Julia finally moved to look at Violence and the others. They showed no sign of movement. A sigh escaped the raven's mouth as she snapped out of her rather fantasized dreamland and made her move.

XXXEonaria shivered slightly. All five of them were just looking at each other. Their duelling captain didn't seem too impressed with them, either. Ending the school year with a bang had sounded great, but none of that was happening now. She had no idea what her teammates were thinking. Uneasy in the silence, she shifted her stance a couple of times. It was the kind of situation that, once it was over, sent you to a corner to mope.

Derek stood there. And waited. This was, apparently how modern duels worked now. As he looked back, his Duelling captain was less than impressed. He gulped and blinked, trying to shake the sleep out of his eyes.It wasn’t his fault that he hadn’t slept. Well it sort of was, but it also had to attribute to that his roommates snore. Huzzah! They did remember that this was a duel. By "they" meaning 60% of the piste. Violence and Eric stood mostly unmoving, no spell, and not even focusing on just dodging. Ara sighed. Was this the future of duelling? Hope not.

For the 3 people who cast, the dueling gods weren't forgiving of the inaction of the last round. The screaming flames of Eonaria's Incendio hit Julia on the shoulder, and Julia herself got engulfed by the angry flames.

Julia's own Flipendo strayed far from Derek --almost like a frisbee curving outwards-- and hit Eric instead as he was a shoulder's movement away from dodging it completely. Sucks.

Derek, the initial target of Julia, had his own problem to face as well. His Flipendo completely backfired into his face and knocked him out. Ara's face scrunched. Poor kid, that would be humiliating. She says, "Halt!" to stop the duel as the Mediwizards took the shamed boy. "Resume."

XXXEonaria cheered quietly when her spell found its target, hitting Julia on the shoulder. Unfortunately, Derek’s spell backfired. Too bad— it looked like it was going to be a strong one. Eonaria winced as the Mediwizards went to retrieve him. Now both teams were down to two. They still had a bit of time, and Gryffindor could still win. She readied herself for her next action, hoping she and Eric could keep going strong.

"It's okay. You're okay." These were the only thing running in Violence's mind. She was hurt, exhausted and most importantly, disappointed in herself. She could have done better. She should have done better. But what had she done? Failed to protect Angel. And now she would fail in the duel. Maybe it was not in her genes. Maybe, just maybe, she was not meant for this.

Her eyes snapped up at the sound of the fourth year's call. They were right, this was a duel and she needed to get her shit together and cast a spell. So she raised her wand, sure of what to do next.

Celebration was short-lived for the 5 kids on the piste just stared at each other from opposite sides. Did they perhaps have a deal to make peace? Well too bad, they're all technically disqualified for this. It was a sad yet fitting ending for this duel... if you can even call it a duel. Suppose only Kabukimono remembered it was a duel though, but her efforts were in vain for the Flipendo missed entirely. "Halt."
