This was the final stretch and the Greek wondered if she’d survive it. Both her and her teammate’s spells hit their target, hers spreading along too, which not only pleased her significantly but also took down one of the lionesses, Siobhan. As she was taken off the piste, Eugenia stretched, and then in the high of her success got hit by another spell. It was a debilitating process, making sure you’ll lose your mind. But worth the win.

With the duelling match nearing its end and one of the lionesses down, Ula was getting impatient—impatient to win perhaps. However, with the scale on the piste now leveled out, there were no clear winners and no clear losers just yet.

Still, the ravenette had no intention of making this match her first loss. And so, with one last look and a sharp nod to her remaining teammate, she gripped her wand tighter and zeroed her focus onto the two badgers left standing. It was time to finish this.

Sere exclaimed inside her heart. The good news was that the offensive spell she cast finally hit the target squarely; but the bad news was that Siobhan was knocked out of the match. Doesn't matter, we'll finish it for her.

Sio had shown an exceptional performance up until the ninth round, now let Ula and Sere finished it off with the actions to secure their victory.

This was a close duel. There had been closer, but that had to feel irrelevant to the audience and the duellists. Any mistake or tremendous last-minute magic could tip the scales. As it would turn out, no one did anything wrong, playing with the same determination they had the whole match. Reyna's fantastic healing would be essential in keeping Eugenia on her feet; she technically would have made it, but no one wanted to feel vulnerable to stumbling and falling their way off the piste. Knockback Jinxes composed the rest of the action. Eugenia hit Ula, Sere hit Eugenia, and Ula missed Eugenia thanks to an inspiring dodge on Eugenia's part, like she'd been waiting for the jinx all day. She was fast on her feet, that one, just not always fast enough.

Everyone, moderator included, expected that to be it. Axyen's storm cloud had other ideas. In a rather rude last-minute turn of events, its building static electricity pounced to give Reyna one last taste of what it felt like to be a target. "That's time!" It wasn't really necessary to the moderator's final call, but it did make the balance on the piste more obvious. Eugenia and Ula both looked worn, in need of a good sit or nap, but between Reyna and Sere, Sere looked like she could go partake in a whole second duel.

"Today, Gryffindor is victorious!" the moderator called, loud and cheery for the roaring audience. This would certainly help Gryffindor's chances going into tomorrow, but Hufflepuff didn't have much to hang their heads over. "Take care of yourselves, there are healers ready to see you. And have a good summer!"
