2025/2026 Stage 3 Ravenclaw vs Gryffindor: Match 7

This was annoying. Derek didn’t even get Violence, even though he aimed perfectly. Perhaps it was because she had leaned to the side slightly, or that being in the air posed a challenge for attackers. He was glad for Eonaria, since she successfully maintained her spell, though it did pose a challenge for him and Eric to attack. At least the Ravens had stood there like sitting ducks, not even trying to attack them. Let’s hope that they’ll do that this round, so we can attack them and take them out, he thought grimly.

Lots of dodging this round, especially from Ravenclaw with Angel O'Connor focusing all her energy on dodging alone. Julia Evans on the other hand stood still as her teammates evaded the rain of spells coming their way. Violence managed to produce an incendio but missed the desired target--Derek--by a few feet. On the Gryffindor side however, all three members blasted out spells but only one out of 3 hit their marks. Eonaria and Derek's wands spit out raging flames that sizzled pass their targets while Eric hit Violence with Rictusempra flawlessly.frightened.

Derek narrowly dodged the sizzling flames, his heartbeat literally stopping for a beat. His forearms were nearly burnt, as he tried to regain his breath. it reminded him of a time when Jade and Emily were fighting... when they were squabbling and he couldn't stop crying... and they got carried away... Derek remembered the pain of the flames, but luckily his mom administered a spell before it hurt too bad. Derek steeled himself. This isn't a time for dramatic flashbacks, Jay, he thought. It wouldn't do any good if he fainted on the spot. Derek flourished his wand, and a jet of flames shot toward Angel, synchronized with Eonaria's whose was toward Violence... but at the last second, it missed.

The frustation just wouldn't stop. Of course, that was her fault. She, for the second time now, just stood there like a senseless pig, doing absolutely nothing while her teammates got attacked. Violence was being targeted the most. She currently got hit by a rictumsempra, but thankfully evaded the incedio sent by Eonaria. Angel meanwhile was able to dodge nicely, but was extremely weak and hurt. They Gryffindor team seemed to be ignoring Julia, but she supposed that was only because of her movement being sluggish in general. She really couldn't afford to zone out for another round.

Angel was still feeling pretty weak but she dodged the spell sent her way just in time. She was telling herself she could get through this and that Ravenclaw would come out on top. She looked at Julia and gave her a nod of reassurance since it was her time on the dueling team as well and she was probably nervous thats probably why she froze again. Angel looked back at the Gryffindor team focused on them and winning for the Ravenclaw house with her team.

XXXMany more spells flew, but most of them missed. Eonaria cancelled her Levitation Charm in hopes of doing more damage, but alas, her Incendio missed, as did Derek’s Incendio Duo. She sighed, wiping her palms on her robes. We really could have gotten the advantage there! If only their spells had hit! The anticipation was getting to her head. Ravenclaw didn’t seem to be doing a whole lot, but the teams were still on fairly equal footing.

A flicker of hope rose in her chest as she saw how the only one member of the opposing team had hit their target. But it immediately died down when she realised that her own spell had missed because Violence was the one who had been hit. Did Eric not want to cast a spell other than Rictusempra? Weird. But she did not have time to think about Gryffindor's strategy, her own strategy had to work. She pointed her wand upwards and cast her next spell, hoping it wouldn't have the same result as the previous one.

A bit of an overkill, wasn't it? Poor Angel O'Connor got hit thrice. Twice by the opposing team and once of her own accord. Happens to the best of them, Ara supposed. Spells do tend to bite back from time to time. Eric's Flipendo hit Angel straight at the chest as it tossed her back along with her own mis-cast Flipendo while flames consumed her being, the fire lingering.

Well, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. The Slytherin girl stood between the two teams of blue and red "Halt." she said firmly as the Mediwizards took care of the limp body of a girl that was left on the floor. There was this particular Gryffindor frozen yet weirdly aware. Wonder what happened there? Once removed from the piste, she stepped back into her previous position. "Resume!"

Derek cheered as his spell, and Eric’s hit Angel straight in the chest, and her spell poorly cast, reflected onto her. She had just a moment to show the pain on her face before she was whisked away. Just as he was about to congratulate Eric, a force slammed him into the wall behind him. He got up groggily, his robes entangled and his earring ripped off. He tasted blood in his cheeks.
