"Oh wow," Sere was speechless seeing that Axyen's wand that cast Reparifors was the same wand that knocked him off the piste.

Pushing into the duel's second half, Gryffindor used their newfound numbers advantage to regroup and ensure their numbers stayed. With apologies and a solid Reparifors to ease Ula's pains, Siobhan snapped out of her brief lapse. Sere took care to clear their side of the stage of the threatening storm clouds, using wind to buffet them over and make them Hufflepuff's problem. Ula solely kept up their offense with another Flipendo, but missed by a decent margin to Eugenia's footwork.
Hufflepuff had no luxury of slowing down, nor did they really need to regroup. They both selected powerful offensive spells. Speaking of footwork, Siobhan was practically showing off with the fluid ease with which she avoided Reyna's jinx, but she would have been better off investing a little more focus to avoid the wild radius of Eugenia's crackers, which otherwise only mildly scorched the wooden stage. Compared to the unpredictability of their previous spells, this volley was fairly tame. Perhaps they'd found a brief eye in the duel's storm.

This round was so unproductive for both teams, it actually got Eugenia wondering, how has they even ended up here? Ula was healed (lovely) and her own cracker jinx barely skimmed Siobhan and barely missed the others. At least she easily dodged the spell aimed at her. And then, the Greek girl saw the wonderful cloud Axyen had produced directly over her. The strings of fate would not give her an easy time today, would they? And it was her first damn duel…

Almost nothing happened. Someone from the other team got healed but quite literally no damage was taken on either team. Great. There seemed to be some bad luck in the air as everyone was dodging each others spells. On one hand that was a good thing. On the other hand... not so great. How had Reyna missed again? This Gryffindor team was really good at dodging. Or maybe she was just really bad at aiming. Even she had had better luck with her accuracy on the broomracing team and that was aiming spells on BROOMS! She was on her feet sending spells and yet she still could not aim. She sighed. Reyna really needed more practice. But for now the two of them just had to keep going.

The dark billow currently hovering over her team was something that Axyen had left them, and this was pretty worrying for her. Sere had felt uneasy about this cloud from the moment it was created, and the girl had heard about 'pushing the clouds with Wind Jinx'.
So she tried it for the first time.

They stayed in the metaphorical eye of the storm. Or perhaps more accurately, today's duellists could benefit from some extra target practice before next season. Most of their spells missed: Sere, Siobhan, Eugenia, one after the other. Eugenia's missed especially badly, veering somewhere in between Sere and Siobhan. The duellists were certainly trying to be violent, all force and fire, just with very limited success. Only Ula hit anything, and her success was still only in part, half of her split Flipendo wonderfully dodged by Eugenia. The other half found Reyna, a harsh strike right to the chest, which was misery added to her failed attempts to pass the storm cloud back over like a weird, magical game of tennis.
It was a shame she failed the cast, because she might have saved her teammate. The cloud struck suddenly, one lightning bolt finding Eugenia and leaving her slightly fried. It was a last backfired gift for Axyen, and Eugenia would be able to feel every bit of his signature strength. The balance hadn't shifted dramatically yet, Hufflepuff wasn't cornered, but neither team could be very happy with their failure to capitalize.

What on earth was their luck in this match? They had started well and it seemed exhaustion deteriorated their performance so bad, that Reyna’s spell went off course and her own spell missed by such a great margin. And at the same time, Reyna got hit and she got zapped right in the back by Axyen’s powerful lightning bolt, hissing as her entire spine felt loose and then stiff. She regained her stance after smoothing put her clothes and tried to put on a better show than before. And maybe not fall unconscious in the meantime. Hopefully only, at this point in the match.

It was clear to Ula that the remaining badgers were exhausted—the momentum that they had at the start of the match was gone. Truthfully, her own team wasn't doing much better; she watched a failed hit after a failed hit. Still, refusing to give up, she managed to land a hit on one of them.
At least that's something, she thought to herself just as the rumble echoed from the other end of the stage. And then—as if someone had heard her thoughts—lightning struck one of them. That brought a smile to her face.
