Every since Gloria was young she loved to read. She read every book in the house twice and then asked for new books. Since both of Gloria's parents were muggleborns they encouraged Gloria to learn about how both worlds worked. Then Gloria's dad went out into the city (muggle) that was next to them to buy Gloira a classic muggle book. He then came back with the first book the series called "The Hunger Games." Gloria had been hooked with the series every since. So when she saw some posters advertising to do a version of it (where she would not get killed) she immediately asked her parents if she could partipate. Of course, they were both very stoked because it had been their favorite series as a kid so they said yes.
Gloria took a look at who she had been assignged to for her district partner. "Clark Stellen" Lets go find him and see if he wants to team up. Gloria looked all around for him but she was a bit short and could not see him. Suddenly Fawkes called for everyone's attention. She restated the golden rule: no killing anyone. Everyone took their places and the games had begun!

The moment Clark had saw the post about an upcoming Interactive Hungergames event, something inside him told him, that he needed to participate, even if it meant to be interacting with over 20 other students, who would also take part in it. But in the end he decided he would give it a shot, because maybe he could overcome some of his fears, and actually meet the others, and maybe even have some fun?.
Well now he was here, standing tall , towering over most of those already. Being this tall had his advantages and disadvantages, but overall, he could make himself a clear picture of who he would be going against. Talking about the other participants, The host Fawkes Chaos herself, had sorted him into District 10, with some girl he doesn‘t know.
Than he turned his attention back to the host of these Games. Fawkes Chaos was holding a welcoming speech for all of them, and Clark listened to it without interrupting, letting the informations flood his mind, while he took a slow breath, that filled his lungs. The air was alive with all different kinds of scents. And every person usrronded him carried their own unique scent. There were subtle differences that separated one from another. And that was far more distinctly than faces ever could, And all of that scents got assigned a name. A name he would later on need.
And that information was all necessary, and would give him some sort of advantage later on. And so did his head slightly tilt, as he heared some girl in the rows in front of him, loudly announce how everyone should keep distance from the, because they are better. She was saying that now, but the Future isn‘t always going as you want to, and filling it up with arrogance and superiority wouldn‘t help much. As Aesop, a greek storyteller always said: “Don‘t count your chickens before they‘re hatched.“. That‘s why Clark always stayed in the now, and only thought about the now, about what was happening right now. Yes he may be calculating how to be the most efficient with resources, and how someone could proceed in wild area, but never rushed to judgment when it came to a fight. He knew you could have studied as much tactical strategies , how deeply you analyse offense and defense or how good you are at fighting, every battle is entirely unpredictable. Because each opponent brings unique abilities and unexpected ways to strike. So Clark never made hasty assumptions about who would ultimately win or loose. But giving your best, that‘s what is it about.
So whatever Fawkes Chaos had planned, or prepared for all 26 people surrounding her, Clark intended to face it with the same cautious pateince, he approached everything else.
Watch first.
Understand second.
And than act.

Arriving at the arena, Hayato scanned the room with his obsidian eyes. He didn’t know many people from here. Most of them seemed to be Hogwarts students. The rare few that he could recognize were Fawkes, Magnus, and Naiane.
It was an odd life decision for the young Ichiyagi. Away from home and abroad, playing a game he hadn’t heard of before signing up himself into the game. One of the reasons that he’d be here, was Naiane’s presence. The corner of his lips curved upward slightly.
He read the rules before and he had been contemplating what he should do in his first round. He loved strategy games. One of his favorites was hanafuda. Although he wasn’t sure if his experiences in those games would help with this one. Hearing from the discussions around the room, he collected the information that the game was initially based on novels from Muaggle cultures. A whole culture he wasn’t used to consuming at all.
Standing in the corner, Hayato didn’t want to be too noticeable as he didn’t know people here well enough to initiate conversations. He nodded politely toward the event host’s direction when he saw Fawkes. It had been an interesting experience to explore the castle. Though he felt a bit embarrassed getting lost and asking for help from a stranger. Nonetheless, it had passed.
Spotting his childhood friends, he drew nearer to her. The last time they met was during the Castelobruxo event, at her school. For a silent moment, Hayato just stood beside Naiane. “Tomari kun, how have you been?” Hayato said gently, trying not to be too abruptly opening up the conversation. Speaking Japanese outside of Japan was still a novel feeling to him. Turning his head to Naiane, Hayato continued, “It’s a pleasure to be sorted into the same district with you. Though I have to admit I don’t know this game that well.” His tone was calm, yet the obsidians lit up with excitement slightly.

| xx | London. Luuk Tjin-A-Wing had no idea what he was doing in some Hogwarts student’s house in the outskirts of London. He was in London, playing some twisted game of whoever doesn’t pass out wins. It was apparently based off of some literature, a book series titled the Hunger Games. What a funny title — was the host planning to starve them? Though he originated from a Muggle family and had known nothing more than that until that one faithful day, he had barely touched Muggle literature. The Chinese Surinamese boy had never had the time nor the means as to access such luxuries. The whole “passing out” mechanic of this so-called game seemed a little strange, for what was the host to do with twenty or so unconscious bodies in their house? Luuk was beginning to think that something a little more sinister was at play. The host had mentioned that there was to be “no killing”, but could you really trust a room filled to the brim with teenagers armed with pointy sticks that shot lethal jets of light not to kill? Probably not. Or perhaps he was suspecting the worst, as he always did, and it was simply a silly game for the enjoyment of all — if passing out could be called enjoyable. Though he had called the game silly, Luuk was not one to take competition unseriously. Paired with a girl from Durmstrang in a “district” — he assumed that was a purposeful allusion to the series — he fully intended to win, for he did not fall short on competitive spirit. He did not fully trust her yet, but acknowledged their partnership through a brisk nod moments before the game began. And then it started, and all peace was void, empty promises of “no killing anyone” hanging in the air. |

The Hunger games
crafted by cassiel ahlstrom

Despite the blood and sweat poured into her first year, Naiane left feeling rather displeased with her progress. Her academic performance revealed no cause for concern, but in truth, she had achieved little of what she initially hoped to. This melancholy soon bled into the first few days of the holidays, tainting them with lament over how much she still had to learn.
There would be no time for relaxation this summer, for Naiane sought to seize any and every opportunity to hone her skills. An opportunity like this simulation. Muggle literate was rather familiar, given her step-parents collection. Unfortunately, she had never laid her hands on the Hunger Games to fully comprehend what it was about. The only detail that caught her attention was a focus on survival.
Once Naiane stepped into the arena, her frosty gaze fixed on the host. With a short bow, she greeted the one who would be toying with them. It did not matter whether it was for the sake of curiosity or purely for her entertainment. What mattered was what she could get through this.
A melodic voice soon interrupted her thoughts and Naiane lifted her chin to meet a familiar gaze. Even after all this time, the obsidian gates to his soul remained unchanged. How comforting.
“Ichiyagi-kun,” she returned his greeting with a fleeting warmth. “I have been well. And you?” Despite her inability to drop formalities, speaking Japanese often felt a little more natural around an old friend. “The pleasure is mine. I am only somewhat familiar with the concept, but perhaps we stand a better chance if we put our minds to it.”
The corners of her lips twitched slightly, offering a faint smile. “Let’s do our best together,” she urged him with a hint of warmth in her tone.

The Hunger games

Anything that even mildly resembled a duel or a Quidditch game interested Amethyst, and she would end up signing up for it.
Such was the case with The Hunger Games.
She was not sure what the idea behind it was, but it sounded as if they had to duel multiple people at the same time and survive through the game.
Moreover, the Duel moderator was someone she could fairly trust.
Fawkes did not look like a person who was into duelling or sports the first night she had met her.
So it was surprising to see her as the announcer and moderator of the duel.
Luckily, she was able to partner up with her cousin Eva.
Even more of a reason to participate.
The situation at the Castillo Manor felt confusing to the 13-year-old.
This game hosted on the outskirts of London felt like a perfect summer escape.
She had managed to obtain a permit from her parents and her grandmother with her secret recipe for always having what she wants.
So now she stood here, in the arena alongside a very hyped-up Evangeline.
A soft, dimpled smile formed on her face, watching her cousin loudly challenge everyone.
Amethyst studied each participant that was already present.
And surprisingly, she recognised a few of them.
Strategy was quickly discussed amongst the cousins, and they were ready for the very first round.

─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────Life was a mysterious and on that note, there was much that the young french boy had no idea of, no understanding, and no sense of real purpose towards. Today's happening was quite the example of that. Arno had once again found himself entangled within an event he wasn't quite sure of.
Why was he here? He wasn't quite sure, what the rules or the tricks of this game even were. But Arno had a gameplan, and he had teammates. Of note, there wasn't really much in the whole crowd but there were some familiar names. By god's great prank, the mutt that had annoyed Arno so much by his mere presence now held part in his side of the sector.
Only silver lining was the both of them being from Durmstrang, if nothing else, Arno could probably use the common factor as his way to rally support from the blond child. On the way, the group grew from two to four, with the addition of a girl called Naiane and a guy called Hayato.
Arno didn't have much time for pleasantries but he did his best, the four had their game plan in mind and were in it to win it.

TIMESTAMP ; summer 2026. morning MENTION ; @Fawkes Chaos 𝔈mma had never heard of The Hunger Games. Well, until now, obviously.
So when she saw the poster for the 'mock Hunger Games' on the Slytherin notice board, an event that would be monitored by that girl Fawkes over the summer, she was interested. Not because of the content of it, but because of the competition.
And Emma was not one to shy away from something she could win.
Now, seeing that she hadn't the foggiest what a mock Hunger Games would actually entail, she signed up before she was aware (thanks to a, later, thorough explanation from her best friend who knew of the series) how much dirt and grime would be involved.
When she found out the game was a living-off-the-land type of situation, she almost backed out. Knocking people off would be easy-- but bugs and mud were what made her rethink what she had gotten herself into.
But she carried on anyways-- it would look cowardly if she backed out, so she decided to suck it up and make sure she had some 'ugly' clothes that she didn't mind throwing away after the games.
A few weeks later, when the time was set and the 'districts' (whatever those were) were assigned, she was alerted that she was a member of district 13 (which, according to Guinevere, her district-mate, was an abandoned district, so, like, thanks Fawkes), and that her partner was a fifth-year who was hoping to be paired with another upperclassman. Emma could tell the girl was a little disappointed, but they were civil anyways, brainstorming and talking about alliances with people from other districts.
And this all led up to now, when all 26 of them were lined up on little pedestals in a gigantic, culty circle.
She had a plan, and all that was left was to win.
And Emma van Elst was determined to.
