Mental Description

If there was one word which would describe Paul's personality, it would be restless. He's constantly in motion and full of energy. He always has his football in his backpack, always ready to play with anyone who's willing to join. Being an active kid, he prefers spending time outside rather than inside. You will never see him calm, unless you are in his bedroom and witness him sleeping.

He has never really been into the lessons at his Muggle school, not because he would not consider them interesting, but because of his restless nature. The idea of being closed in a classroom for an hour or so has always seemed terrifying to him. That is why he could always be seen playing with something or talking to his neighbours, or rocking on his chair.

Moreover, he suffers from dysgraphia, so he has to try very hard when taking notes or trying to do the homework. At the Muggle school, though, he's fine with just listening to the teachers during the lessons, as his memory is pretty good. That is why he prefers practice-based classes, for that he doesn't need to remember tons of information.

He is also very curious and his thinking is purely practical. To add some weaknesses, he doesn't really think much about what he's about to say before he says it. He is impulsive and has a strong sense of justice. He often tries the limits of authorities, being bold and cheeky at times.

Physical Description

Paul is a boy of medium height and a slim, muscular built. His brown eyes are framed with light eyelashes and above them, reside two fair, thin arcs (his eyebrows). His face has the shape of a square. His ears are quite large. His hair is longer and light brown, partly covering the top half of his ears. In the summer, the colour of his hair might seem blond, in the right sunlight. His nose is short in length and its tip is round, similar to a small ball. His lips are rosy and thin, usually usually waved in a smirk or a full-teeth smile. His neck is short and pretty thick.

His skin is fair. There are several freckles on the top of his cheeks, specifically around his nose. In the summer, his skin tends to get tanned but it usually turns pink first. When it's tanned, his freckles can't be seen.

He doesn't wear dioptric glasses, but in the summer, you can often see him wearing one of his collection of sunglasses of different shapes and sizes.

Backstory

Paul was born in Scotland, on the outskirts of Edinburgh where his family still lives, into a family of a cardiologist and a football coach. He has one sibling - a younger sister called Pippa. His mum and dad have a nice relationship, mainly because Paul's mum is often travelling with her football team, and their dad is spending a lot of time at work. The kids, therefore, had to learn to be at least partly independent, to take care of themselves when their parents aren't at home. That is where he has the practical thinking from.

They live in a family house with a garden, where both Paul and his sister were spending most of their after-school time, playing football and other sports, or doing a variety of activities. That's where he has the love for the outside from.

Their grandmas often came from London to help look after the kids, especially when they were younger. Paul's first instance of magic is actually connected with one of the grandma's visits.

Paul started attending a Muggle primary school when he was 5. His favourite subjects were the practical, logical ones, like Maths and Chemistry, which he didn’t have to study for a lot. He really has no talent whatsoever for languages and art. Sports, on the other hand (especially football), he is exceptionally good at.

First Instance of Magic

It was on Easter that his grandma visited, when Paul was five years old. His sister, whose teeth were growing back then, started crying, which made Paul, who was helping his grandma with Easter cookies, very uncomfortable. After several minutes of her crying, Paul somehow managed to make a closed packet of raisins burst and cover whole kitchen floor.

His grandma, seeing everything, was shocked, sharing the information to his parents.

Personality and Abilities	Appearance
Reducio Paul has grown to love magic and is actually pretty good at casting spells. It takes him 5-8 vain attempts to learn to cast them. He's growing smarter due to his dysgraphia, for which he hardly ever takes notes. Therefore, he has to remember the most important things that are told in the lessons. His favourite class is DADA, ever since day one. He's still as active and enthusiastic as he was on day one. He hasn't grown lazy. He's becoming more helpful and is slowly starting to give priority to the others over himself more and more often. He's a social person, gradually growing to become a person who prefers to hang around his few friends. He's talkative and still very restless in lessons, that it might seem he's not doing anything, however, he's listening.	Reducio Paul is growing taller. His built hasn't changed much though, for he eats more. He still chooses vegetables, fruit and meat and other food containing proteins, over sweets, but that's because he's spent the whole childhood eating the goods chosen by his mum. He is working out some basic exercises (push-ups, squats, sit-ups) every evening in the dorm, and he still tries to go jogging every day whenever he's not playing football. He's not grown skinny in spite of growing taller, though not as significantly as some of his male schoolmates. He's still on the average height (150 cm). His hairstyle has remained the same - short, brown hair on the sides cut shorter than the rest. He mostly doesn't brush his hair due to his bad morning time management, so it's mostly very natural and dishevelled.
Friends	Sports
Reducio Paul met some stunning people at Hogwarts. First, he met Corrine Aelina (R) who became his best friend and showed him that winning doesn't have to be the main goal of a race. When she's around, his competitiveness disappears. She taught him that there are more important things than winning. Thanks to her, he did a leap away from selfishness. She's prominent. The Wayfinders is a group of friends that he met during the first month, and became fond of. They've had a couple of adventures so far, exploring the world, as well as Hogwarts and its surroundings. Ellaine Weatherby (H), whom he admires for her calmness, and insight on magical and moral things, is a peaceful and quiet haven for him in the lessons. Skylar Blue (G), on the other hand, he has a very passionate relationship with. Their mischievous banter and related actions become known in Gryffindor for the least. Paul admires Sky's leader and flying abilities, as well as her energy. Robin Lockett (R), is a friend that Paul has in common with Corrine. Paul is aware of their friendship and doesn't take it well. Maximillianus Keaneally Vidler (G) is one of Paul's roommates. Denise (H), Zephyr (H) and Alex Adams (G) are his Hogwarts football buddies. Denise's scope is more general, so she's perhaps, a sports buddy.	Reducio Paul is still loyal to football, however, he's got into Gryffindor Duelling team, which he'll start in in September. Being an impatient person, it was hard for him to wait several months to get there. He still tries to play football at least once a day, at weekend he goes out in the morning and gets back in the evening, spending all day outside. He's also faithful to working out, doing it in the evening in the dorm once a day.

A Pygmy Puff bought in August 2026.

Patrick is a playful, fluffy Puffskein that can usually be seen on Paul's shoulder, curiously watching his human friend's whereabouts. He's also very fond of Paul and his friends' bogeys. There come times, when Patrick just can't keep his tongue in his mouth and direcs it into people's noses. When Paul talks to his friends, Patrick's tongue apparently serves as other animals' muzzle, and, instead of sniffing them, he just inserts his tongue into their nose, searching for bogeys.

Other than his passion for human noses and their dry content, Patrick also likes to run away. Although he gets to spend plenty of time outside, thanks to his owner, it apparently isn't enough for him.
