As aromas drifted on the wind, performances enchanted themselves towards the crowds and merriment of all kinds was revelled in, the evening began to grow later. Students from all around the wizarding world had the chance to sample some of the most exquisite spices and herbs native to the region like one Mr.@Kim Sato who was led on a worldly tour of exoticism and rich taste. Vibrant coloured spices with aromatic wonder filtered towards his nose as a kind older gentleman welcomed him to sample any number of his collection. This was a place of exploration and community where all were welcome to join.

For other more battle hardened students like those of the notoriously combative Durmstrang Academy this event was just another chance for things to go awry with them at its centre. It was true that the past years, particularly with Hogwarts as a common theme, these events had often led to destruction, but surely as a seer Lawrence would have predicted any looming trouble. Still the wary minds of Mr.@Hans Jenssen-Schäfer and Ms.@Astrid Olsen would not be eased by any one persons gits. Durmstrang relied on one another to have their backs, the familial bonds that lingered between them ran deep, it was a trust far more predictable and reliable than visions of the future.

Somewhere jumbled in the crowd a group of friends had seemingly gotten lost with the excitement of things, and who could blame them with so much to take in. Still after a brief lapse of chaos Misses, @Rose Pearce, @Skylar Astor, and @Angel O'Connor and Messrs, @Ryder Hawke and @Zephyr Deakin had found each other once more. While the others watched on, Angel and Zephyr would each take to the main stage proudly demonstrating their native lands and no doubt making all of their ancestors and fellow witches and wizards proud. Both were enough to bring tears to the eyes of the older souls in the crowd and received a rupture of applause as they finished.

Meanwhile a rather familiar looking bird had plucked the curiosity of Skylar Astor who couldn't help but giggle when she related the creature to her grandfather. Speaking to her cohort who had been entranced by the magical paintings Dukun Lhamo was proudly displaying to a small crowd, she had pondered about moving closer to the creature. As she did so, her eyes met the black endless chasms of the bird's own and before she knew it the owl had taken to the air and began perching on a small branch above her head as it looked down upon her with a curious cock of its head. For a moment Skylar could swear the creature seemed to smile a little, before it reached its leg down handing her a flyer inviting her to visit the island renowned aviary during her stay.

Still the festivities were far from over, even as the performances began to end and guests became lumbered in food comas from the delicious bouts of creations from locals and foreigners alike. No this evening was just beginning. While the island was speaking for itself, displaying the fine qualities and rich potential of its nature, its Grand Seer was high above it all. Lawrence had never been one for crowds, he certainly had never been one to take the spotlight and given his last big publicity had him the proposed perpetrator of murder he was more than a little anxious. Maynard needed this to go well not just for the sake of himself, if anything that was of least importance, but for the benefit of his students. Those bold and bright kids who did not have the reputation of attending the legendary Hogwarts. Tenūsa was small in number but humongous in heart and that was the core of what he wanted to show.

Breathing in he remembered how important this was to him and let go of the worry that lay heavy on his heart. Stepping back into the crowd Lawrence invited a group of people to the stage with a shy smile and some curt nods, "If I could have a moment of everyone's time. This weekend is not just a celebration of the remarkable talent and culture that we all bring to the table, nor is it a chance to gain numbers or political alliances. If that was your aim, or you believed it to be mine then let me set the record straight for I am a man late enough into his years to speak earnestly. I have no care for these things, my only duty in taking this role that I am so honoured Denbeigh bestowed upon me, is to look after my students and bring our world closer together in such perilous times. But not only our world."

As the crowd began to rumble with anticipation and an energy sparked through the air of danger and fright about what he might say next he opened his arms and interlocked them around two woman who were undoubtedly his sisters from the familiar features that made them distinct. Along side those two were three youngsters who looked up at the trio in all the admiration of strong familial bonds. "For centuries this island has forbidden those of non-magical blood access, regardless of family ties or lineage. Today I undo that, and mark the start of an era of coalition for the Isle of Divination. These non-magical folk no our secrets and keep them, so they will not be denied a seat at our table or rest on our shores any longer. My own sister Talia was forbidden from visiting me here, prompting my younger sister Willow to refuse her invitation. No longer will this be the case. With so much wrong in our world we need now to come together, so whoever you are, however you came to be with magic, know you are welcome here and your families too. For family is the most sacred of all things." With a final squeeze of those he loved his eyes met those of Professor @Lesmana Asmaralaya, a former Tenūsa alumni who looked almost gaunt with worry. Lawrence nodded to him courteously and hoped he might find what he needed back on the Isle, after all, this was his home once upon a time.

The sights and sounds of all those around her was the perfect concoction of whelming to remind her of her school days where the students couldn't help themselves but be inquisitive about those and the things around them. For many, in fact an almost certain 99% of attendees here at the moment, this was their very first encounter with the Island or the Omah Geni in general. It was natural that all the students seemed to be amazed and in awe of the world they had entered. Desi thought back to the time that Ezra had described it to her a few days ago when she had met up with him at their home in Mo'orea Mai'ao. Ezra had once said "It's like stepping into a world, inside of a world, on the outskirts of another world. Each layer of mystery makes the Island and the school that much more needed to uncover." He was very right in this sense. It was almost an entire secret trove of magic. With Lawerence's guidance, Desi was proud to see how far the school had come from the age she had grown up in.

A few familiar faces passed by her senses. Mostly students, but there was one other alumnus she saw whom she had known as one of her juniors and was now her colleague: Lesmana Asmaralaya. She briefly waved to him, hoping to perhaps chat with him later if he would permit her, just to ask how he felt being back on the island.

Desislava heard an offer from behind her and turned to see one of her colleagues, another professor or perhaps some higher standing of teaching approaching her with the opportunity to branch out and meet others who she had not previously spoken to. The man had offered her a seat and Desi graciously accepted.

"Thank you kindly though I don't have the pleasure of thanking you by name. My name is Desislava Nenovsky, Tenūsa alumni and current Divination Professor of Hogwarts. Did you find your way here easily?" Desi asked with her polite air. It wasn't unusual for her to go off in a long-winded introduction but found it often helped for her to meet people and come across as far more approachable. She was aware that occasionally when she did not give her full attention to a greeting it made her seem closed off or distant.

She was anything but distant or closed off. She was far too excited about meeting other professors and visiting faculty to come across as uninterested.

Settling herself, Desislava took a bite of the Fairy Bread she had been able to slide onto her plate. The delicacy was something that the kitchen elves of Hogwarts had tried greatly to imitate but simply could not reproduce the way that she preferred. Perhaps it was just her taste buds, but this was the true way that the recipe was meant to be followed. Having taken her first bite, she covered her mouth just slightly to hide the chewing motion that her cheeks made as she listened to the adult in front of her speak.

"Do tell me, is this your first experience with the Island? How are you liking it so far? What about it differs from your schooling just from what you have seen?" Desi asked both student and professor who sat near her as they chatted and got to know one another better.

Bloody hell, Colin said to himself. They weren't wrong when they said travelling by portkey felt like someone sticking a hook in your belly and dragging you super fast to your destination. Add to that wonderful sense of nauseating nause, Colin was experiencing the equally wonderful joys PMS. Any fellow wolf would understand. Kim Aoki, however, wasn't a fellow wolf, though he was one of Colin's friends.

Colin moaned as he stepped away from the portkey on the Isle of Divination.

Somehow, Colin let himself be razzledazzled by Kim's description of the place and the event sponsored by the Tenūsa School. How wonderful it would be! Kim said as he gushed about the foods and the culture. And now, here Colin was. The first thing to hit Colin was the hot and humid atmosphere. Colin had never been anywhere in the world south of London in the summer time, and had no idea what hot weather really was. He'd been warned to dress for warm weather, of course. Colin had shrugged. He wore the same few things every day regardless: a somewhat drab and utilitarian kilt and a white shirt. Perfect. He'd already undone the first four buttons of his shirt and began fanning himself in an attempt to adjust to the warmth.

"Bloody hell. Where is Kim, anyway?" he grumbled. He reckoned that he'd end up spending much of his time as a wolf later panting in all this heat! Colin shook his head like a dog. Despite the heat, it really did help reorienting himself. Now with a clearer mind, Colin set off to explore the delicate scents and wonderful looking woodlands that surrounded the place. As he sniffed around the festival area, his sensitive ears picked up familiar voices among the foreign and well known smells among the strange and exotic.

He reckoned the first thing the Prince of Sweets would do is head for the food stalls. Colin was, in fact, starving. He doubted that cheese and sausages would be on the menu here, but he was determined to find something! His mind turned to Emmi as he took in the sights. She had made no promises, but hinted that she might be somewhere in the vicinity of Tenūsa after their wonderful Christmas in Belfast! He was rather hoping she'd be here. The full moon would at least be more tolerable with the Hufflepuff at his side! And if she wouldn't be here, perhaps he could find a local wolf to pal around with and enjoy some Isle of Divination related zoomies!

Ye-jun still wasn’t sure what to think. Visiting Hogwarts was now pretty much given but the other schools? He never really thought about it. Would it be a safe trip for once? He spent way too long debating between ‘yes’ or ‘no’…until Tone asked if he was going and casually floated the idea of rooming together. And suddenly, the ‘yes’ was just there as if no other option ever existed. The two of them had gotten much closer ever since the last summer camp and Ye-jun still couldn't believe he actually managed as much. He was eternally grateful to Sara for pushing him to have a more honest talk with his dear friend. Right...let’s try to be optimistic. If nothing else, at least he’d get to hang out with Tone some more. That alone was more than enough of a reason to endure most anything, including the current suffocating weather.

Indeed, the Beauxbatons student was not exactly fond of this kind of climate. It felt as if someone had thrown a wet blanket over his head. He was dressed in a simple yet stylish outfit for the sake of comfort but it did nothing to alleviate his annoyance caused by the jungle’s humidity. He could already feel his hair getting curly as if folding in on themselves in distaste mirroring his own. Still, he had to admit that visually, Tenūsa was truly beautiful. He liked nature and here, the nature undeniably thrived. It felt almost rude not to stare. Besides, looking at the tables, he could already tell the food would be to his liking as well. He was taking his time to take it all in so it happened that the welcoming speech started before he could find his accommodation. Not wanting to come across as impolite, the Korean boy paused his steps in order to listen to the school’s headmaster.

The words uttered to the visitors were not exactly filled with useful information but rather a sentimental prompt about future friendships and unity. For someone like Ye-jun, who was generally not eager to search for new friends, those words meant little to nothing. He was content with what he had at the moment. Still, he waited until the very end before resuming his search for the High houses. “Ye-jun! Over here!” the Beauxbatons student was halted in his quest once again. This time however, the interruption was more than welcome. In fact, he’d been waiting for it.

“Wonderboy! Good to see you,” He greeted with a smile, reserved solely for people he held dear, before marching towards the Japanese boy with his signature confidence. “And hello to you too, Mochi,” he added once he’d gotten closer and spotted the Bengal cat lounging on top of Tone’s backpack. “You’ve gotten bigger pretty girl.” He remarked, reaching out to pet her (if she allowed it). “You look great too by the way.” Ye-jun did not fail to compliment Tone with utmost sincerity. He enjoyed fashion and his friend clearly knew what he was doing. It was a sight to behold. Well...he generally was. “I’m sorry I’m late. I got distracted by all the sights. Seems like you found our housing in the meantime…Care to show me the way?” It was not that he wouldn’t be able to do so himself. His sense of direction was actually pretty great but that didn’t mean he wanted to. After all, why the hell would he want to go by himself if his biggest reason for being here in the first place could do it for him?

Anthonie smiled kindly at Angel’s evident fascination for his school, despite the mistake she made in their uniform. “You would be wrong, we simply wear either a white dress or trousers. Our uniforms have a lot of room for personal customisation, considering students are allowed to wear the colours of their choice that have a significance to them. We also have a colourful robe to represent our school’s diversity, for, contrary to popular belief, Uagadou, being so high up in the mountains, can get quite cool in temperature.” Hoping it satisfied a curiosity that seemed insatiable, he continued, “But, then again, we’re all just human, and sometimes, we dress the way I’m dressed now too.”

Lips rising as the unknown professor accepted the seat at Anthonie’s side he shifted his body to face her, posture open and inviting, ready for conversation. At her words of thanks Anthonie shook her head lightly with a hint that there was no need for such formalities. “Anthonie Engelbrecht,” he introduced back as she presented herself to be Desislava Nenovksy, “Alumnus and Headmaster of Uagadou. With the portkeys it was easy enough, although I do admit they are far from my favourite mode of transportation.”

Watching Desislava as she took a bite into her fairy bread the hunger Anthonie had expected was still absent, so much so that he found himself with no appetite at all. Even as the aromas beckoned him to join he remained still and instead decided to focus on the question of conversation at hand. “This is indeed my first time on your Isle of Divination — and what a beauteous sight!” He replied. “I have high expectations and am certain they will be met.”

“My first impression is… well, such heat…” Anthonie said jestingly with a chuckle as he trailed off, before conceding, “No, it’s been wonderful, truly a tropical paradise as they say. Reminds me of the Maldives if there were more vegetation.” Despite having had the privilege to travel wide as a student the vibrancy of Tenūsa, both in its fauna and flora and in its present attendees still managed to pleasantly surprise Anthonie. The acceptance and encouragement of cultural sharing touched Anthonie’s heart, and the philosophy of abolishing rigid traditions even more. To see the impossibly wide range of faces and stories from all across the globe had always been Anthonie’s favourite part of an interschool occasion since he was a child. “Headmaster Maynard certainly knows how to host an event.”

With each word precisely placed in confident yet enthusiastic conversation, Anthonie matched Desislava’s keen energy and offered her a smile. Far from a rambler, he placed each word with intention. “Uagadou is situated high in the Ugandan mountains,” he began, “We live together in a hallowed out cavern rather than spread out across the island. I would love to learn about the school in a more educational capacity though, please do tell me more.”

Pausing, only then did Anthonie realise he still had left over Melkkos left to give out. Gesturing at the cinnamon-infused South African speciality he grabbed one from his bag and inclined his head at Desislava and her already highly sweet meal of… whatever atrocity the Aussies managed to conjure up, “I don’t want to send you into a sugar high, but would you like some Melkkos?”

Not only was Anthonie here today as a headmaster and a chaperone, but as he had been for fourteen years a young man eager to make friends with those from around the world. It was an immense privilege sitting on a table with those from far and wide, and one he would certainly not let go without a union of meaning.

“If I could have a moment of everyone's time—”

As heads collectively turned to face the returned headmaster Anthonie too shifted his gaze onto Lawrence, sparkling blue eyes briefly catching the man’s of the same colour. To bring a fragmented world closer. Education was many things, and Anthonie aimed not to just teach lessons for a classroom but ones for life. From his very own homeland known as the Rainbow Country to the wide range of diversity Uagadou accepted and embraced, unity was the only way forward in a divided world, and that was yet another teaching to pass on to his students, not in a classroom but in Uagadou’s halls and Tenūsa’s jungles.

“For family is the most sacred of all things.” On that note, the speech ended, and as the crowd would applaud, Anthonie joined in. They were all words he had heard before, but for an idealist, he could hear them a million more. He thought back to his own family, from the people that had shaped him, his parents, to his beloved sister that he had argued with as much as he doted on — without them, he would not know who he even was. Then, he casted a kind glance at Desislava too. No matter the occasion, family could always be found.

Lateness. The term was barely familiar to the young girl who took being punctual to the highest importance. She came to class five minutes early, she was waiting by the door at the start of events, she completed her homework long before the due date. Tardiness just wasn’t her style. As such, when the girl realized that she was late to the Opening Ceremony at Tenūsa a cloud of suffocating panic overcame her. She wasn’t going to be late at the first event at the school!

The surprise that overcame little Amelia exited the designated Portkey huts was great as she twirled around to look at the tropical forests that surrounded her. A heat began to rise in her cheeks, whether it was from embarrassment at her untimely arrival or the change in weather from Hogwarts, no one would know. Even with her thorough research, she hadn’t been prepared for the humidity, and immediately regretted the choice to wear her hair down.

The landscape wasn’t like anything she had ever seen, as far as she could remember anyhow. It wasn’t the picturesque fields of her farm back home or the grand castle of Hogwarts, it was the sheer abundance of fresh, luscious nature. Fresh smells dancing up her nose, the unbelievably tall canopy looking down on her tiny figure as hints of a the perfectly blue sky tempted her. It took effort to not give in to the urge to sit down, pull out a book and remain here for the rest of the day.

The area mightn’t have been filled with the witches and wizards that it had been before, but the a strange music of a choir guided the young girl towards the others who had arrived on time. Traditional music perhaps?

Amelia once again found herself surprised by the scene in front of her. A long mahogany table set with such a variety of food, that Amelia could only dream of their unique tastes, sat on a platform. Something told Amelia that she had perhaps been meant to bring something to add to the table. Well, that looked like another thing she hadn’t done…

It was clear that the introduction to the event had been finished long ago, as the cheerful music reached her ears and the scene of people dancing crossed in front of her. About to attempt to make some sort of introduction or find someone she already knew, a voice stopped her asking for a movement of her time. Turning, she looked at a man who began to speak to the crowd. Amelia hung onto ever word he spoke, mentally writing the dot notes to remember later. There was nothing about this trip she was going to forget. No strong opinion on the man had been formed but all in all, his idea of letting in those without magical blood seemed quite nice. She could almost imagine her grandparents dancing to the music here, though somehow she felt that would never happen.

Turning away from the man as he finished, the Hufflepuff looked around, still taking in the beauties of the surroundings. A small smile crossed her face, causing her features to brighten. This would be a wonderful trip. She just knew it.

Tone was happy to see Ye-jun finally appear and waved him over. The smile the other boy gave him made him even happier and Mochi mewed a little upon seeing Ye-jun. She lifted her head and purred as the young man pet her a little. Tone pouted at this. "Don't I get a pet?" He said, looking up at his friend and smiled at him again as Ye-jun complimented him. "You too! You look so handsome!" Tone said as he beamed at him. "There are definitely a lot of sights to see around these parts. We should explore them all together!" Tone said with a grin and nodded when Ye-jun asked if he could show him their housing. "Of course! Do you want to stick around for the festivities first or lug our stuff to the High House now?" He asked the other wizard. Tone didn't mind either way, whatever Ye-jun wanted to do most. He just wanted to spend lots of time with Ye-jun.

It was such a treat to see him twice in one year! First at Beauxbatons in February and now at Tenusa! It was almost too good to be true. He smiled at him.

Kim's wandering eyes caught sight of a familiar face in the distance. "Yo, Colin! Over here!" He called out, trying to draw his friend's attention to him. There were lots of crowds which he hated because it made him feel too cramped and made his anxiety levels go up. But at least they were outside, it wasn't as bad outside as it would have been inside. Kibō was wearing a mini sized green wool hat on his head. It had been a gift from Emily, Colin's girl.

It was cute. Both Kim and Kibō were wearing matching colors. Green and white.

Also coincidentally this was the color of Colin's House too, Slytherin. Kim waited for Colin to make his way over to him and then glanced around. "Is your girl coming too?" He asked him, curious. Kim also didn't see Colin's shadow, Liam. But he assumed Liam was off with another group for once. Kibō hissed a greeting at Colin from Kim's shoulder. "How did you find me?" Kim asked with a smile, holding a small bag of spices he'd gotten earlier on.

He wondered if Colin had found their High House yet to put his belongings into. A lot of the students had gone straight to the opening ceremony but some had chosen to be late to it in favor of putting their things away beforehand. "Did you already find our place?" Kim asked him, letting his eyes flicker over his friend for a moment. He'd debated about going to the House beforehand but wanted to see what was at the feast first. Now he might head over.

"Believe you can and your half-way there"
Isla arrived late, surprise.

Not that she didn't want to, it was just that long chats bored her, and she had better problems than a long chat about whatever that had been, most people had a bad hair day, she had bad hair FOREVER. Today, though, she couldn't get her hair to stay on one color, sometimes it'd be her brother's hair tone, her aunts, and she hated it.

"Alright Isla, you can do this" She muttered, trying to picture her normal self, soft dark brow waves, brown eyes and Deep Autumn skin. Trying to ignore how the dizziness of running and the port key altogether made her dizzy, she looked around.

She took in the mahogany table, full of food, so much food Isla stopped feeling hungry in the spot, she wondered how many different flavors she could discover, maybe as much as her Every Flavour Beans collection.

She noticed a familiar girl, maybe she had accidentally shifted to look at her before or maybe... Isla shook her head, if she was another student in Hogwarts, then maybe introducing herself wouldn't be bad, right? Unless she shifted into her features and scared her off.

"Idiot, pourquoi ne t'aimerait-elle pas?" Isla said in French, deciding to approach her, noticing the smile and the redness of her cheeks, Alright, here it goes "Hello, weird question, but, are you a Hogwarts student, by any chance?"

Zephyr was taking everything in at once, wanting to remember every detail. It was a lot to process, and he was a bit overwhelmed. The smell of the food lingering in the air was a mix of something sweet, earth and even meat. People were conversing, laughing and watching in awe at the performances. In general, it's a little bit dizzying, but it comes from being excited.

He glanced at his group and grinned when he noticed everyone was minding their own business. One was still occupied talking to some adults, one was keeping an eye on everyone to make sure no one got lost again, and two were both looking at the owl and the moving paintings, completely absorbed. At least they're all enjoying themselves.

The performances brought his attention back to the stage. What he didn't expect was seeing Angel perform, which somehow encouraged him to reconsider his decision. He clapped along with the rest of the crowd. "Woohooo Go Angel!" It was amazing to see the energy and the talent all around him. The audience had been supportive, which gave him the confidence to be part of it in his own way.

Then he saw Skylar giggling at the owl and noticed how it flew above her, handing her a flyer. Zephyr laughed upon seeing that, “Only you could end up getting an owl to hand you a flyer.” He teased the girl.

His mind was made up, reassured by what he'd seen so far, so he excused himself from his friends and joined the ones who were going to perform. And while he was playing, everything else didn't matter to him. He might be terrified at first, and that's understandable for someone who was not used to performing in front of a crowd, that alone could scare him, but once he started, something changed, there's no stopping him playing. The music just pulled him in.

There was a moment in the middle of the song when he realized he was not scared at all. And it was surprising. When the song ended and he heard the applause, it was almost too much. His face burned red, and his hands shook as he lowered the whistle. He bowed quickly not knowing what else to do. Walking back to his friends, his legs were shaky, and when he reached them, he was relieved. Chuckling as if a thorn had been pulled out of his chest, he rubbed the back of his neck, suddenly shy again now that it was over.

Inside, something changed. He had proven something to himself, that sharing a piece of himself with everyone doesn't mean losing it.

The headmaster grabbed their attention once again. At first, he thought it would just be another formal speech, but it was more personal than the other speeches he had given. He spoke about duty, about caring for students and bringing people together.
