Opening Ceremony

He heard Kim before he saw him. "Yo, Colin! Over here!" Colin smiled. The trademarked Sato YO! Or maybe the AYOki? Colin's body turned towards the greeting and he jogged over to find his friend, giving him a friendly hug, an impish grin, and a quick twirl about. He stuck his tongue out at Kibō and flicked it.
"Honestly, Kimmo! Ye need to teach me how to say hello to Kibō!" Colin found it utterly fascinating that his friend could actually converse with and understand snakes. Even Werewolves couldn't communicate properly if they didn't have some kind of cant or dialect already worked out. Kibō hissed back in what Colin assumed was a greeting. It honestly would be nice to say something sensible to Kim's serpent companion!
"Is your girl coming too?" He asked Colin. "How did you find me?" Colin blinked. What a question to ask after all these years! Colin smiled broadly.
"I can smell thee a mile off, Kim!" He laughed. "Actually, I don't know if Emmi's coming or not. She didn't say aye or nay. I reckon if she did come by, she'd be at least as captivated by the wild creatures of the place as she would be by me! And I see Kibō is wearing his Emmi original cap! Looks very sporting, Kibō!" Colin said with a slight bow.
Colin looked around the place. There were lots of kids around, looked (and smelled) like from all over the world! If it weren't for the pre-Moon syndrome, Colin would very much enjoy looking at all the girls that were around. His eyes defocussed and he sighed softly. "Not as much as I'd enjoy looking at Emmi," he whispered to himself.
Turning his attention back to Kim, he caught sight of the bag his friend held. "Yoink!" he said as he snatched it up. Looking into Kim's eyes, he sniffed at the bag delicately. There was literally nothing recognisable about the spices it contained. Some seemed like they might have been spices involved in one of Avery's hotpots, or in Taizu's picnic dishes. He raised an eyebrow before settling the lovely little bag back into Kim's hands. "Do I sense the makings of a future culinary endeavour in this bag, or are these some kind of secret potions ingredients?"
Colin smiled as they chatted. He just wandered along where ever Kim led them. When it came to food and cookery, Colin was well out of his depth. The boy that could manage to burn water and make a simple pea nut butter sandwich inside out was in no position to criticise Kim's talents in the kitchen. Or in the spice market!
Kim asked about their High House accomodation. Colin nodded. "Yep! I stopped by there earlier! Ye'll love it Kim!" he said with an impish grin. "I can fly us alllllll the way up there!" Colin pointed up, up, and even more up into the leafy canopy. Kim was not known for his love of flying so Colin took the opportunity for a quick tease! "So! What else have ye found around here eh? I have to say the place looks grand! But ye never said it would be quite this hot!" Colin threw his arm around Kim and pretended to collapse from the heat, dramatically fanning himself with his shirt collar.
