Kinda the opposite of my school (though your parenthesis are true about mine) honestly since I go to a private school that doesn't let us have our phones out or our headphones out unless we're doing a lesson. We can't even have our computers open during most classes unless we're doing school work so we aren't distracted. So like, I remember getting a chromebook in 2017, the first year I mainstreamed, and I was excited and was able to pretty much have unrestricted access. Over the years though, about maybe 80% of the sites became blocked and if the teacher deemed a specific site necessary, they'd reach out to IT and IT would unlock the site for that class period.
(well, that isn't the only reason some sites are blocked, others are due to the content that may be displayed on their sites that may not be appropriate for school environments)

may be a stupid question but how does one go about writing lore for their characters? like is it just a bunch of solo rps on their background or stuff to develop them as a person?

This isn't silly at all! Basically, I call lore anything I write about Av's story!
