Astrid lived near the Luskentyre Beach in Scotland until she was three years old, her mother was the witch in the family, her father was a Muggle. She remembered the day her mother told her father she was a witch, he passed out, mumbling something about his parents warning him about his wife, when he finally woke up again hours later her mother suggested they move to London where she grew up, in case Astrid was a witch, she wanted her to go to Hogwarts. It took a while but her father finally agreed to move, and after a few months they made it to London, living in the outskirts in a nice homey house, they lived a simple and honest life, her father worked from home for Muggle money while her mother went to the Ministry of Magic to work. Her mother wanted to move to Godric's Hollow sometime later in life, but for now they lived in London, simple and happy. Her parents both loved her dearly. She has a few Muggle friends in London who she will play around with, she does not tell them she is a witch though. She has two sets of grandparents, one on her dad's side and another on her mother's side, they live close by and she would go over for hours at a time to play at their house. Overall, she has a good family life and some good friends.

When she got her Hogwarts letter, the family had mixed reactions, Astrid was over the moon and wanted to go to Diagon Alley to see everything and buy her school books and everything else she needed. Her mother was also over the moon that she was going to Hogwarts, she remembered when she was at Hogwarts, such fun. And her father was happy, just downright confused about everything, and tried to understand it for her sake and get excited.

She still remembered her first instance of magic, she was only seven years old when it happened in her front yard. She had been climbing a tree and a branch snapped, causing her to scream and fall, her parents rushed out, and she felt a surge of panic course through her, unknowingly causing her to slow down and land safely on the ground, her mother was absolutely over the moon about that while her father was downright concerned that his daughter had slowed down in mid air. That was a day she would never forget, that's for sure

Astrid is a bold girl. Whether it be just walking through the corridors or talking, her presence isn't easy to miss. She doesn't care what people think about her. She also doesn't really care if you make fun of her, but if you make fun of one of her friends and she find out about it, you'd better sleep with one eye open.
She is also a tomboy. She loves wearing comfortable clothes outside of Hogwarts, preferring pants over skirts, and has never really gotten into painting nails, or liking dresses. But she is loyal when you gain her trust and one of those people that you'll automatically blame if there's a disaster in the castle. But behind that tomboy personality she loves singing. She doesn't just love it, she's good at it, amazing at it her parents say, but she does not believe that she has a good voice.

Astrid is ruggedly pretty, with long wavy red hair that tumbles down her back and shoulders, reaching to about mid back length. Its generally kept down except for when she's studying, for that she ties it half up. She has sun kissed skin with freckles splashed across nose and cheeks, she has unusual colored eyes in a result of being born with complete heterochromia, so one of her eyes is a bright, beautiful electric blue, while the other eye is a stunning, bright fiery orange-gold. She is 4'10" and her body is long and lithe. She hopes to try out for Quidditch, specifically the Seeker position, or Broom Racing.

Thunderbird Tailfeather Wands from Thunderbird feather have the ability to sense danger and are even capable of casting curses on their own if their owner is in dire need, but they are hard to master because of their sheer power. Thunderbird wand cores are contrary and hard to tame; wielding and controlling them requires considerably skilled witches and wizards, as these wands are volatile in the wrong hands and must be carefully matched. Some Magizoologist speculate that the Thunderbird's control over the weather might be an ability rooted in Transfiguration, but this has not yet been proven.
The ideal owner for a Thunderbird wand is brave and persistent. These wands favor those people who have a fighting spirit, who simply don't know when to quit. Masters of a Thunderbird feather wand are frequently competitive, enjoying all forms of competition, be it in sports, card games or academic studies.

Cherry Wood Cherry is a very rare wand wood that creates wands of strange power, which are highly valued by the wizarding students of Mahoutokoro, where those who own cherry wands are held in high esteem.
A Western wand-purchaser should dispel any notion from their mind that the pink blooming cherry makes for a frivolous or merely ornamental wand, as cherry wood often makes for wands that possess truly lethal power no matter the core. If paired with a core of dragon heartstring however, the wand should never to be teamed with a wizard without exceptional self-control and strength of mind.
Wand Choice: Users of this wand tend to seek power in terms of force or might rather than cleverness or luck.
Flavor: Very rare and often makes for a wand with destructive power. It is often paired with a core that reflects this.
