Getting her head back into the game, Ava decided to shake it off. They had a game to finish, and more and more it seemed to be in her wildest dreams of them winning. She cheered for the one, Ebony. As soon as she had, she watched as the teammate she had just cheered for plummeted towards the ground like Superman. Ava decided that she had been a foolish one to cheer for that particular teammate. The game was beginning to seem treacherous with everything going on, and the team would need to find holy ground to win it.

Nothing exciting had happened for Charlie recently. She needed to say focused and not let her mind become a blank space, and she needed to prevent the snakes from scoring. Her mind kept flashing back to the points she had let in, But she shook it off and told herself you need to calm down. She wove between the hoops, trying to keep her mind going.
She looked over and spotted a blunger crashing into Ebony, and watched as she fell to the ground. We have bad blood now, she thought.

Percival let out a laugh as he connected his bat to the bludger. Sending it straight towards the opposing team. Brows furrowing as he watched the raven appeared to try and counter the bludger. Though, it seemed like Lady Luck still favored him as he watched the other player miss and fall quickly off his broom. With a small wave the boy would send him off before smirking happily. Percival's eyes would widen as he watched the bludger sail towards his own teammate. Oops- the boy would think as he rubbed the back of his neck.

1. In the role of Beater, if you hit an opponent with a bludger the bludger will then ricochet off that user and target a second opponent of choice (must be declared, if not declared the target will be random and can be an ally but not yourself).

2. In the role of Beater, if an ALLY dodges a bludger during the round, there is a 20% chance that you catch that bludger with your bat and you send it at a RANDOM enemy target.

3. In the role of Beater, if you critically hit with a bludger, instead of doing double-damage you do 2.5x damage. If you critically fail with your bludger attempt to hit, rather than having your bludger randomly target another user (including yourself or an ally) the bludger cannot target you on a critical fail (but it can still target your allies). On a re-target, there is a random roll for target and then a fresh accuracy roll.

This didn't seem possible, but watching from the bench.. it actually seemed like Slytherin managed to bridge the gap between the two teams. They didn't score, but Ravenclaw was totally out of beaters and neither of the seekers seemed close to catching the snitch. Milica herself found her cheering on Oliver, watching as he sent a bludger towards the opposite team. "Go, Oliver!", she shouted. It was a bit out of character for her to be this enthusiastic, but it seemed she was more competitive than she thought. Now, all she could hope was that her teammates would keep this up.

Avis soared back onto the field, ready to get back in the action after her penalty lap but she faltered as a figure in blue dropped towards the ground like a stone, falling too fast for anyone to help her. The Ravenclaw swallowed nervously. With both beaters down, it was every man for himself out here and although the birds had slowly gained some momentum within the past few plays, the odds still weren't exactly in their favor.

After watching a nail-biting attempt for the Snitch from Aly and scowling begrudgingly at Percival's smug laughter, the second year forced her head back into the match. The birds needed these next couple minutes to go well and desperately.

Winnie knew what the signal from Aly meant; her special move. Luckily her farm strength came in handy in moments like this. As she watched her friend fly through the air, her eyes lit up, her heart hammering in her chest. She really thought they were going to make it, but then...

"SHIT!" Winnie blurted out several four-letter words as she cursed the snitch out. How dare it steal the glory of Aly's moment!

In the role of Chaser when you attempt to catch a passed Quaffle (such as when the Keeper has possession of the Quaffle and passes it to a teammate) you have advantage (meaning that it is rolled twice and you keep the better option) on attempts to catch if the opponent team attempts to intercept.

In the role of Chaser, as a free action if the user of this broom is successful in the quafflegrab they can as a free action pass the Quaffle to another user in an attempt to score. There is a chance of the quaffle being intercepted, however due to the fact that the user is "so fast" with the quaffle this would be considered "surprising" and the attempt to score would be done at +3 accuracy by the player it was passed to in an attempt to score.

Note: The attempt to score would be an automatic attempt by the user that catches the passed quaffle.

In the role of Chaser, if you have a contested quaffle grab and a contested strength roll between yourself and another user is in progress, unless they have the same broom, you would be the victor of the contested quaffle grab. In addition, rounds where you are successfully carrying the quaffle in an attempt to score, you only take half-damage from bludgers and blatching attempts.

The match was not particularly entertaining sadly. He never thought he would see the day when a bunch of books worms would kick a snake's ass. Crazy how in a few short years so much could change.

A chip entered his mouth and he appraised the pitch with his pale blue eyes. He did not think there was much risk of being called onto the pitch this game, a sense of both regret and relief. There was something primal and satisfying about having a bat in ones hands and using it. There was also something terrifying about flying 30 miles an hour a hundred feet above the ground where one finds themself being assaulted by iron balls and wooden bats.

Really is better to be the hammer than the nail...
