And from the sidelines of the Quidditch Pitch Aamon sat. A spectator armed an unholy amount of both sugar and sodium.

Aamon should have been watching the patch, that was the point of being there besides actually playing. Instead, a handful of crisps met his mouth as he observed the crowd rather than the match. Who was here to cheer? Who was here to jeer? Who did not even bother to show? It tells him a lot about a person to see where their loyalties lay, if they lay at all.

She hummed softly in thought, her gaze landing on a player of the opposing team, but which pawns... Her team? Or the other? With narrowed eyes, she remained focused in thought, no longer entertaining the teammate who appeared to had been left with their words.

Oh how beautiful it was to see the snakes up by 50, the game had barely begun and they were already doing good. The snakes just needed to build off this momentum, kill the ravens quickly and be the unprecedented monarchs of the sky they were always known to be.

For some reason Winnie seemed to stall midair, staring off into space as she tried to process what had just happened. Perhaps it was the drama of everything that had happened this year, maybe she got distracted by whatever Aamon was munching on, but the quaffle soared and it was not because of her.

In the role of Chaser when you attempt to catch a passed Quaffle (such as when the Keeper has possession of the Quaffle and passes it to a teammate) you have advantage (meaning that it is rolled twice and you keep the better option) on attempts to catch if the opponent team attempts to intercept.

In the role of Chaser, as a free action if the user of this broom is successful in the quafflegrab they can as a free action pass the Quaffle to another user in an attempt to score. There is a chance of the quaffle being intercepted, however due to the fact that the user is "so fast" with the quaffle this would be considered "surprising" and the attempt to score would be done at +3 accuracy by the player it was passed to in an attempt to score.

Note: The attempt to score would be an automatic attempt by the user that catches the passed quaffle.

In the role of Chaser, if you have a contested quaffle grab and a contested strength roll between yourself and another user is in progress, unless they have the same broom, you would be the victor of the contested quaffle grab. In addition, rounds where you are successfully carrying the quaffle in an attempt to score, you only take half-damage from bludgers and blatching attempts.

Percival let out a wild laugh as he watched the bludger sail through the air toward the unexpecting beater. Watching the blue coat and wooden splinters fall through the air brought a smile to his face. One down, only a few more to go, right? Percival would glance towards the other beater with an annoyed look as he realized the other boy was staring at him. Only to nod before flying away. Percival would stare at him with a confused expression. With a scoff the boy would dip his broom downward dropping a few feet as he flew away from the other beater. Would it be crazy to hit his own teammate?

2. In the role of Beater, if an ALLY dodges a bludger during the round, there is a 20% chance that you catch that bludger with your bat and you send it at a RANDOM enemy target.

3. In the role of Beater, if you critically hit with a bludger, instead of doing double-damage you do 2.5x damage. If you critically fail with your bludger attempt to hit, rather than having your bludger randomly target another user (including yourself or an ally) the bludger cannot target you on a critical fail (but it can still target your allies). On a re-target, there is a random roll for target and then a fresh accuracy roll.

And the game began. Charlie was nervous, but stayed attentive, ready to save. But sadly, she failed not once, not twice but five times. She watched as the Slytherins around her cheered, angry at herself for failing. They had lost their main scorer this past year, Lavina, who made their team amazing. Charlie knew the first game without her would be rough, but she didn’t know that it would be this bad.

SECOND STRING

Despite the slow start, the crowd and the benched players knew that all that meant was they had to get louder. If they could psych up and support their team, then that was what Mikey, Ophelia, Ava, Milica, and Nabi were going to do. With all of them screaming, Mikey and Nabi were drowned out among the similar cheers for Avis and Violeta and there was no space for Damien's jeers. And amidst the noise, Aamon continued the hard work of consuming a mountain of sweet and savory goodies.

CHASERS

Not wanting Slytherin to keep a lead, Winnie would be the only chaser with her eye on the quaffle. She wouldn't get the luxury of unguarded hoops as Lottie whisked in front trying to cover as much area as possible. It would be no match against the sharp, precise quaffle moves the Ravenclaw possessed, neatly sliding the ball through the hoops all except for one fumble after a glance in the wrong direction dragged a little too long, stuck in the danger. She recovered well though, the points still racking up. "And Ravenclaw is catching up as they add 40 points to their side for a score of 50 for the snakes and 40 for the birds!"

SEEKERS

Finding a small golden orb was a challenge in any weather, Violeta already aware from today and Aly experienced enough to know, yet they seemed to almost spot the snitch in tandem. A flash of something shiny was all that was needed to start the chase, a tell-tale sign for the audience that the fun was sure to climb.

BEATERS

It was probably for the best that the Seekers and Winnie were stealing everyone's attention, both sides finding difficulty connecting bludger to target. Ebony, meant to bludger the opposing Beater, seemed far too drawn into the chase as she wildly sent the ball hurling towards Aly. Aston, wasting no time as the defender, quickly rushed in to return the gift to sender without realization for who that might be until nearly too late. Nearly- a last second jolt of terror would spike the bludger down and away from anyone, injuring no one. Percival took the opportunity to try his own hand as a second bludger careened towards Aly, yet Aston remained prepared on duty as yet another ball spiked towards the ground without any harm granted.

Recognizing Percival as a threat with a bat, Avis looked to take action- illegally. It was while following through with the swing that Avis rushed forward, a hope to catch the Beater off guard and knock him off the broom with a good forceful shove. Execution had different ideas though, not enough force to finish the job nor enough nonchalance to seem unintentional. A sharp whistle screeched, "Not subtle and not successful! Unfortunate - that is a penalty lap for Avis Greymond." Perhaps next time around there would be more falling as the timer of the Seekers ticked down.

This round is certainly not as prosperous for the snakes as the previous, but Rafal supposes it could have gone worse. Alas, the eagles appear to have regretfully recovered from their collective state of distrait, and are now out for blood. One of their older chasers, whose name he cannot recall in all the commotion, scores no less than forty points for her side, much to the Slytherin’s great chagrin. On the brighter side of things, he has at last completed the unsurprising tedious penalty lap, now back in the action. His position is almost immediately filled in by another overtly enthusiastic second year, however. Looks like his level really is one of the most belligerent.
