Sere woke up this morning with only two fixed schedules in her mind: cleaning her room and packing. Her side of the room would be empty for around two months because she decided to go home, to London, at the end of this school year. Yes, only one week away from now. She had to face the muggle world again after a full year of living such a pleasant wizarding world life. More than half of her heart still rejected this decision. She was so uncomfortable with everything related to muggle world. She had much more unpleasant memories than the pleasant ones. Honestly, she did all of this only because of her Grandma. Sere couldn't disappoint the sweetest person more and... she also missed her Grandma. The girl sighed, I hope this won't turn to a super long and tiring holiday.

Packing would be faster because she knew the spell -as well as the cleaning her room- so she leisurely took her time to get some breakfast first. Wearing her casual clothes, Sere went down four floors -which recently wasn't a complaint anymore- to reach the Great Hall. Passing the Small Hall, she stopped, I remembered I wrote something for the graduates last year. Oh, a year passed really fast. She tried to remember what she wrote last year and as far as she could remember it was a light message about 'dreaming high and clouds that will always catch you.'

"Hmm... What should I write this year?"

Sere skimmed through the writings that had been stuck on the chalkboard. Some addressed their messages to specific graduates, while others expressed their happiness for the entire class of 2025 and gave words of encouragement for their next stage of life. The Gryffindor girl tapped her chin, still having no idea. She took a few steps back and realized that the board was filled with beautiful colors from markers, letters and paper notes.

"Aha! That's it!"

A light bulb turned on above her head. Sere took a yellow sticky note and a black marker, then wrote a paragraph without thinking twice. Strings of words went out pretty smoothly.
Dear All Graduates,

You are doing very well. Seven years is such a long time and you have made it through. This is your time to move ahead and step forward into your new era. Whenever you feel like the future is too difficult, you can take some steps back into the memories that have brought you this far and look at those various moments that knit your story together. Exactly like this chalkboard, if you take some steps backward and look at the big picture, you will see combination of colors filling and completing each other beautifully.

From someone who added a touch of yellow to this chalkboard,
Sere Nade
Satisfied with the results, Sere attached her sticky note and continued her steps into the Great Hall. Right, that one was also a good self reflection. She realized that she also needed to take some steps back to make sure whether there were any beautiful memories she had created during her time in the muggle world. Maybe that would make her return this time feel easier.

Hogwarts was filled with the usual, if not more, hustle and bustle of its inhabitants. There in the Small Hall, a beautiful display for the graduating Seventh Years was slowly and surely being filled with kind and encouraging words.

Lyssandra had already pre-written her farewell letter after hearing her peers talk about the display board. She takes out a sheet of paper she neatly folded in her pocket and murmurs a sticking charm before sticking it upon the display board. She chose a spot that was a little off center, carefully to not overlap with existing notes and took a few steps back to review her note.

To Our Dearest Seventh Years,

Long have you toiled and now it all accumulates to this one glorious event. The doors of the castle were the first to welcome you. Now, they will be the last to embrace you.

Embrace your ambitious ideals and be brave through the challenges. Your former experiences and your knowledge guides you and your perseverance and kindness will arm you for the world beyond.

Farewell and may your journeys lead you onwards.

Lyssandra did not know any Seventh Years at a personal level. She could neither say she was friends nor close with a Seventh Year. The most she considers were interactions with a few Slytherin Seventh Years she exchanged passing greetings with or even those who she approached for some help.

“How else could I…?” She hums, closing her eyes to give it some thought and decided to add a little something. She sticks another note and writes as elegantly as one could against a wall.

To aspiring Aurors or Cursebreakers, it may not help your endeavours much but perhaps you could approach 2 men called Dion Navarus-Reinhardt and Carolus Reinhardt for your respective profession of choice. I am not saying that they will be a one-way ticket to being accepted by the ministry but perhaps they could put in a good word for you as a farewell gift from me.

Again, there is no guarantee but I hope it, at the very least, helps you take your first step.

Lyssandra’s eyes run through the entirety of the second note. When she is satisfied, she murmurs the sticking charm and places it near her first note. She took a few steps back and gave a satisfied nod.

“To ends and new beginnings.”

With that, Lyssandra walks off hoping the best for the Seventh Years.

The character is NOT insinuating that they/their family has the power to influence and/or give jobs to corresponding individuals. For story purposes, it is only meant to say that the character will try to help others be considered to have a chance either as an Auror or Cursebreaker.

As such, if mechanics were implied, the character would contact her cousin and in-law to keep an eye out for the new graduates. That's it. Just to keep an eye out for them. The rest would be up to a character's academic achievements, performance, and other things the Ministry/Department asks of them.

It was time to bid farewell to all of the seventh years graduating from Hogwarts. Kim wasn't really that sentimental by nature. At least not vocally that is. He also tended to stay away from large group gatherings unless it was absolutely necessary or there was a reason he needed to be there in the first place. Today it was because the caretaker had called everyone together to write meaningful notes for the graduates. Even though Kim wasn't really that familiar with most of them, he could see the importance and had attended the 'errand' set up by the caretaker for those remaining there.

Graduates... you did it! You survived the entire seven years and now it's time to go out into the world and leave your mark on it. Don't forget all the friends you made and all the things you learned and make sure to always be true to yourself so you don't ever regret anything you've said or done. You only live once after all. Make the most of it! Good luck out there!
After he finished writing his message on a huge banner, Kim began to sketch some ivy creeping along each of the corners along with some beautiful stars and clouds behind the letters of the words. Once the sketches were done, Kim picked up some of the colored pencils, what a unique creation!, and added some color to everything to make the banner pop out more. He scrawled his signature in extremely tiny letters down on the lower right hand side of the banner and then picked up some self-sticking charms. Kim placed them onto the back and sides and corners of the banner.

Once it was done, Kim picked it up and placed it on the wall directly beneath the chalkboard, so the graduates would see the chalkboard and read the message on the banner beneath it. For the first time since coming in, Kim took the time to look around the room a bit. There were a lot of people gathering which made him a little nervous. Most of them were first and second years. He couldn't spot any higher years, at least not that he recognized as being them. But there was one familiar face. Sere. A fellow duelist that he'd helped in the past. She had potential and he wanted to see her grow.

Kim inclined his head towards Sere if the latter glanced over in his direction.

Aodhan did not know many seventh years. Consequently, he did not actually care whether they were graduating or not; he just understood it was a big deal, and those with more empathetic facilities would join in on making it a time to remember.

As for himself, he was just bored. Like, really, really bored.

So upon spotting the display set up in the small hall, he couldn't help but investigate. It vaguely reminded him of the beginning of the school year, when students were tasked with providing encouraging words to newcomers like himself. None of the advice he saw was really helpful, save for one, and that was less "helpful" and far more "entertaining" if he were to be completely honest. Regardless, he figured a similar concept was being done here.

Did that mean he would need to step in and be a hero? Provide the people with something they would actually smile at, rather than have them glance a note over and roll their eyes because it was the 97th copy of some lame, pretty words wishing a stereotypical farewell? Maybe.

Maneuvering around the small crowd by the table, he found himself a space tiny enough to fit into. Then, he got to work on writing the actual contents of his message:

Reducio
Don't die out there!
Cowabunga! Break a leg!
Actually this is kinda hard. I don't know? Invest in aura farming.
Wait I know. Don't be a loser thinking it's going to be scary or something.

Like seriously. How is graduating scary? You come into Hogwarts with no magic knowledge or whatever, and that's super lame, and on top of that you're just dealing with all these adults and stupid rules like "no swimming in the lake" or "no wearing normal clothes during class." Stupid. Boring.

But now you're decked out with tons of spells and stuff and you're going out there without having professors breath down your neck yapping about a curfew. Think of the possibilities! You can almost do anything you want now! Anything that falls under the law I guess, unless you learned how to break rules and get away with it.

Anyway. Go find a new magical animal. Invent a magic hoverboard before I do. Do something really cool! This is like the rest of your life compared to some school that's just a giant magic box.

If you guys decide to come back for some weird reason like missing this place, please get me out of here. For like a day or two, cause I have loyal followers that can't be left without a ruler. Please. Or do my homework for me. Either works!

- Aodhan Shaw, future Wizard King (like in Black Clover)

Once finished, he took the time to read it over, eventually finding that it was much longer than he was originally planning. Was that bad? A part of him understood that length could scare people off, so perhaps some more... flashiness was necessary. The thought caused him to decorate his paper in a multitude of stars, explosions, and very oddly shaped animals riding motorcycles, simply because it looked fun.

Perfect.

Elizabeth found herself standing in the Small Hall, taking in the setup. She didn’t bother reading any of the other notes, though she caught a few snippets here and there. She remembered last year when it had been similar to this. Everything had changed from then. So many different events had happened to her. She wasn’t just some random kid anymore. She was someone who was willing to get through the battles before them in order to survive. With a resigned and small shrug, she decided to write a simple note. Nothing fancy like she had done last year.

Grabbing a piece of paper and a quill, she pondered over what to write. So much had happened, and she’d changed. For better or worse, she didn’t quite know, and that was perfectly fine with her. The words were harder to think of than last year, and for some unknown reason, that pleased her somewhat. She paced around, chewing her lip as she thought. Then without a word, she stopped pacing and began to write, keeping her handwriting clean and tidy.

Several times, she crossed a word out here and there, but in the end, it worked out and she was satisfied. She had said what she wanted to say as a goodbye to this year’s seniors and nothing more, nothing fancy or exaggerated. It wasn’t anything like last year, but then again, nothing was the same one year to the next. After another moment of contemplation, she gave a long sigh. It wasn’t going to be any better than this. She might as well just leave it as it was. It would be better to leave it at where it was than to regret saying something that didn’t have any meaning to it.

With one final glance at the board, she stuck the paper on in a place it didn’t cover anyone else’s, yet also took up the least room. Then, with a quick turn on her heel away from the board, she rummaged in her pouch. As she pulled out a long piece of colorful string, she slowly walked out, fiddling it between her fingers, lost in thought. What would this next year bring? Would she change from the nervous wreck she was? She didn’t know. All she could do was wait for things to come.
Elizabeth’s Note:

To all you seniors graduates leaving,

Congratulations. As you walk through the door away for the last final time, think of all the memories you’ve made here. Some of them may not be the best and some may not be the worst are not ones you’d be you are proud of. But some are.

You worked hard to get to this point in life here, but don’t stop there when you’re gone. Keep going. Your life is just beginning. Go out there and make a difference. We’re all rooting cheering for you every last one of you.

Sincerely,
Elizabeth

Setting: Great Hall
Time: Morning
Amelia Lerelle yawned, pulling her white jumper closer to her body. As she entered the Great Hall she couldn’t help wishing she could just wander back to her dorm and hide under the covers of her bed. It was as she was in the process of rubbing her eyes, hoping this would force them to wake up, that she noticed a large chalkboard with colorful letters on it. It took her sleepy eyes a second to figure out what was on it, but once she had, she found herself treading over to the board. All she was asked to do was write a note to the graduating seventh years.

Graduating. They would be graduating and so would she. The difference was that they would never come back. There was something truly terrifying to the small Amelia as she considered this concept. Hogwarts had become her home and she wondered if it felt like you were leaving your home forever.

The first year, soon to be a second year, wasted no time in collecting her wanted stationary from the table. An pale blue sheet along with a shiny blue pen. Gawking, somewhat impressed at the pen instead of quill, she sat down, wondering what to write. How was it you could write something meaningful to someone so much older and wiser?

It took her at least ten long minutes for the first year to finish her letter. As she paused between each line, wondering what the correct thing to say next would be, one watching her would see a look of dedicated focus. It was the sort that Amelia’s friends knew was best to steer clear from, unless of course, they wished to have their heads bitten off.
Dear Seventh Years,

Congratulations on making it to the end of your seventh year at Hogwarts. I hope you are proud of yourself and your achievements while at this school. It seems it is time for you to enter the real world, and I am sure you are prepared. Good luck!

Yours truly,
Amelia Lerelle
That was it. The letter. Written in a swirling cursive font that was undoubtably satisfying. Amelia wondered if it was good enough to put up, after all it was a little childish and rather short, but she found herself pinning it up on the bottom of the board anyhow. Even if no one read it, at least it had a nice intent.

Amelia couldn’t help wonder if one day she would be the one receiving the letters from little immature first years, like herself. As the child began to make her way over for some breakfast, she couldn’t help wonder what she would be like as a graduating seventh year. Would she be similar to now? Would she have passed her owls? The questions wandered through Amelia’s brain freely, without any answer appearing. Because the answers would have to be answered far into the future.

It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be!

Bittersweet. That's how Landon would describe the end of this term. He was happy for the graduating students, but also sad to lose the companionship of one seventh year in particular. He looked up to his friend, his mentor, Annie Morgan, and it would be sad to lose her at the end of the year. He knew that she would stay in touch with him as much as possible, but Annie had believed in him more than anyone when it came to Quidditch. She had been the one to teach Landon how to feel more confident on his broom and she supported him completely. He saw Annie as an older sister, and it would be hard to watch her leave.

Landon looked up at the board of messages for the seventh years, his blue eyes scanning the notes for any sort of idea of what to say. He really wanted to write something, specifically for Annie, but he wasn't always very good with his words. He sat down at the table with all of the supplies, choosing a Hufflepuff yellow paper to write on. His handwriting was always sloppy, but he concentrated really hard to make it legible because he wanted to make sure Annie could read what he wrote.

He started to write, not really knowing where he was going with this, but knowing that he needed to let Annie know just how much she meant to him.
Dear Annie,

Thank you for being my friend and mentor. I wouldn't be comfortable on the Quidditch team without you. I am so proud of you for graduating soon and also just proud of you for being you. You've been through so much and you still pushed through to finish your education and that is something I admire so much about you. You are amazing and I am honored to be your friend. I hope you stay in touch with me outside of school and I hope that you eventually get to work as a mediwitch like you have always wanted to do. I know you will do a great job!

I'll miss you so much!
Landon Matthews
Landon knew that Annie wouldn't be able to read this letter for herself, but he knew he could read it to her when she was ready to hear it. He wasn't that great with words, but he hoped that his feelings came across clearly. He loved Annie like a sister. He had two sisters by blood, but he saw Annie as an older sister figure to him. He knew that she would likely get a little emotional at the message, but that wasn't his goal. He just wanted her to know how important she was to him.

He finished his writing and went to stick his letter to the wall with a happy hum. Hopefully Annie would know just how much he admired her.

Speech -- Thoughts

The school year seemed to finally be coming to an end. The thought brought Pam a decent amount of excitement, because, gods, she had missed her dad. Finding out the writing of farewell letters to the graduating seventh years reminded Pam that there would, indeed be some people who would be leaving the school. She couldn't imagine how they might be feeling.

No need to after all, you've barely finished your first year.

Her year had been incredible. Sure, it had been a little messy, and it had taken her a while to get used to the subjects and education process, but at the end it had turned out well. She had been glad of how the year had turned out for her.

She hadn't really planned to participate in the activity; after all, she didn't know any seventh years. But then, she found out that people would write to the seventh years in general, instead of to someone particular. And Pam could work with that. After all, she supposed it would be nice to contributing to making the seniors' last year memorable.

Then again, the thought of writing letters to people she didn't really know and had never met made her weirdly nervous. What should I even say? Good luck?

She shook her head, walking over to the table which had the colorful assortment of papers and colored pens and quills. She picked out two baby pink colored strips of square paper, just in case the first one didn't turn out well, and a blue pen before settling down to write her note. Now came the difficult part.

What to write, what to write....

Pam tried to stop herself from subconsciously chewing her pen like she normally did when she was thinking. Admittedly it was much easier when the pen she was using was not hers.

She wondered what she could write that wouldn't be too dreary, because there would probably be similar kinds of notes wishing them well and congratulating them and stuff. She never had been very good at writing letters though.

That was probably why she spent a decently long time cutting and scribbling over the first strip of paper trying to figure out what sounded good and worked decently. This is either harder than I thought or I'm thinking too much about this.

She finally ended up with something decent, and shifted to the other piece of pink paper to pen the same into a more... readable format. No-one wants to look at a scribbled out paper after all, right?

Dear Seventh Year Seniors,
Congratulations on making it through seven magical years of Hogwarts. You've braved exams, assignments and everything in-between (probably including some runaway spells) I hope you can go out into the world with a smile and chase your dreams with courage. Good luck!!

Yours truly,

She finished her writing and went to stick up her paper on the wall with the rest of the notes. I wonder what the next year will bring me. The thought excited her as she exited the Small Hall.

How could time pass so fast? It was strange, even a little terrifying. The aspect of running out of time. When one presumed that there was much ahead of them to look forward to, and others, they could slowly work through.

It's even funnier, Ruth thought to herself as she strode into the small hall, the clicking of her ball point grounding her in the moment-- how when one's time has come to an end, another one starts. She stared up at the block letters congratulating the 2025 Seventh Years. A small smile made its way onto her face. Congratulations, indeed.

Still deep in thought, Ruth made her way to the table filled with papers and markers and pens, her eyes still wandering up to read the notes that had already been plastered up upon the walls. Suddenly, doing so seemed wrong and she peeled her eyes away from the words of encouragement. They weren't for her. Not yet.

Grasping onto a small slip, she made a grab for a darker shade of a marker, shaking it vigorously to get the ink flowing. Uncapping, she spent the next several minutes staring at the note in front of her. What was she supposed to say? Words had never been so much of a struggle for her. Or has it? She couldn't think so well at that point. Finally, she placed the tip of the pen upon paper, only to realise that from all the brainstorming the maker had dried up all over again. Ruth sighed dejectedly, then proceeded to cap, shake, and uncap.

It was then did she write,
Dear Graduating Seventh Years
Now what? She glanced to her side, where another student was busy jotting vigorously. Ruth stared back at the paper.
Dear Graduating Seventh Years,
Congratulations. Making it through seven years of Hogwarts, with its flying charms and magical spells and peeves and ghosts and everything in between, I'm surprised you're still in one piece. I'd have been knackered, maybe lost a limb or two during racing if I'm not careful enough. But you made it, and I'm so proud of you. I look up to you all, and it's an encouraging sight to know that if you made it so can I. I wish you all the best of your journeys. While one milestone may have been accomplished, and your time studying comes to an end, there are several other opportunities out there waiting for you to seize it, and many lessons you have yet to learn. I yearn to follow your footsteps and make a difference to this school, just as you did.
Thank you,
Ruth Fairchild, First Year Hufflepuff
Ruth wiped an invisible besd of sweat off her brow, smiling softly. This should be fine. A lot of words to squeeze into a small note, but fine. Ruth knew that there weren't going to be many seniors who would bother to read such heavy notes and would rather spend their time pouring over ones with less repetition or shorter sentences. But it didn't matter. It was still there for them to see, and she hoped it expressed her gratitude clearly.

The sadness of saying goodbye was a unique one. To release the person that you know and accepting that, without you, they will grow into a bigger, stronger, and smarter person. Even if you weren’t a significant influence on their life, seeing them leave would always pay a heavy toll on one’s heart. To understand that while you are not in their life, that they will move on, and so will you. But you still must acknowledge their strength and willpower to have continued going, and to have finally made it to the end of one of their journeys.

Although Alyss didn’t really know many of the graduates, she did know that they had gone through many of the same experiences she had, and had somehow managed to stay at Hogwarts and make it through all seven years. That, in itself, was an achievement. They had clawed back against the want to give up, and had continued fighting. To the first year, she saw the Seventh Year’s impact everywhere she looked. So even without a deep personal connection with any of them, there were two specifically that she wanted to address.
Koko and Ruby,

I know I’m still kinda new, but I wanted to say that I’ll miss you. You guys ran the Headliner better than anyone ever will, and even if I still think you guys are a little scary, thank you for everything, and good luck out there.

Alyss
It was short, simple, and straight to the point. Alyss didn’t know either of the upperclassmen all too well. No, that would be weird. But she could acknowledge the sheer amount of effort and the number of hours that they’d put into their schoolwork, into their community, to build a home for themselves. It was beautiful, really.

Alyss lingered at the table for a moment longer, debating switching her note from a pale pink color page to a normal white one. What if the two thought she was childish for writing on a pink paper? After all, Alyss was 12 years old, and she couldn’t be acting like an 8 year old. Finally, Alyss made the tough decision to keep her pretty pink page, and pinned it up with the rest of them.

“May this year have tied all the loose ends that they had wished for, and may they thrive in the real world.” Alyss whispered, true words of wisdom actually leaving her lips for once. It was rare that she would say something deep like that, something that might actually mean something. She glanced around, trying to make sure no one heard it, before beginning her retreat away from the letters and back into the halls of Hogwarts.
