This is the fourth song of the Troy Saga, and our first proper look at Polites (get a good look people, this is sunshine incarnate).

Polites, bless his soul, is the kind of person who would walk into a group of people with knives like, "Oh, they must be just misunderstood." You either totally lo-ove him or totally ha-ate him (I can't understand how people hate sunshine but apparently some do, so here's your special mention), there's no in-between.

So yes, the song begins with Odysseus being totally done with Polites (lol I'm always annoyed at my bestie too). Let's not blame him, he did toss a kid out of a terrace. Polites is basically to convince Odysseus to "please calm down dude" and accidentally throws his sword away. Oh and Odysseus nearly falls off a cliff.

Then they both fall off a cliff.

Into water (harmless for now lol).

Anyway we find out Odysseus is scared of butterflies, and finally we see the lotus eaters; cute tiny adorkable furballs Then Odysseus threatens to burn them down if something happens to them. I'm seriously doubtful about if the little things understood his words, because why didn't they go full cyclops on him? Moving on, they give the duo some 'food' which btw controls their mind like Wanda Maximoff (I'm sorry this was necessary). So after the first "open arms" attempt failed, Polites turns to the lotus eaters (the same ones who nearly made them stupid, yes) again, and um, asks them for some more edible food, and they are pointed towards a cave (Spoiler alert: A cave with Cyclops where a lot of people die muahahaha)

Towards the end, we see that Polites is actually a lot more observant than he lets on, since he sees that Odysseus feels guilty (weren't u supposed to be smart? Why would you listen to anything Zeus has to say jeez-), and tries to lighten him up, and it works (for about ten seconds lol).

Now, something that deserves special mention (why does no-one talk about this?), one of the animations has a clip at the end where Polites tosses Odysseus something looking suspiciously like an apple, and Odysseus catches it. For those of you who still don't know what that means, handing an apple to someone in Greek mythology is a type of proposal. So ideally, Polites proposed to Odysseus and he accepted it Yep, think about what that could mean lol.
