Another Day, another challenge.

Did Camilla really feel like she could handle herself out there with the likes of Cloven, who was basically a professional Chaser? No, no she didn't. But then she didn't really have to go toe to toe with the best players. It was a team game for a reason, after all.

Camilla nudged @Jess McLeod with her shoulder as she was heading down onto the pitch.

Despite the tough year behind them, Avery couldn't deny the excitement that preceded today's matchup. The weather was just about perfect for a game and the budding excitement from her teammates only served to build upon that exhilaration. "Alright guys, lets get out there and have some fun!" As Koko continued her announcements as both teams took up position, the Hufflepuff captain looks across the field to Lavinia. "Have a great game, Lavinia!"

Avis yawned. She sat on the Ravenclaw bench, slumped over her broom, eyes drooping. Perhaps staying up late to finish her book hadn't been the wisest decision, especially right before a morning Quidditch match. Still, she'd reasoned with herself (quite illogically) that she wasn't playing and therefore didn't need to be completely awake.
Now she sat crossing her fingers and praying to Merlin that she wouldn't be needed because bollocks she was exhausted.
The young witch glanced up towards the sky, grateful for the perfect weather but desperately needing a nap.

Nearly a full year into his time at this school, Mamori still couldn't wrap his head around the mind-boggling concentration of happy-go-lucky people inhabiting Hufflepuff, who somehow maintained their sugar-high puppy enthusiasm even as their team sat firmly at rock bottom with a perfect losing streak. Anyone willing to spend fifteen minutes cornering a quidditch nerd for some basic intel would realize their chances of winning today were about equal to the world's richest dude showing up at his dorm tomorrow to announce he was his long-lost grandson. Slouching on the bench for his first match since making the team, Mamori maintained a strategic distance from the other second-string players. He was genuinely trying not to be the designated party pooper, but his face hadn't gotten the memo and kept looking like he wished he was on the opposing team. At this point, being a starter or benched hardly mattered anymore, it just meant getting knocked out of the game sooner versus later.

Ophelia was feeling like quite the optimist for this upcoming Quidditch game. It was the last one of the school year, and after the last game's victory, she was sure that they had great chances of winning the match. She didn't know much about Hufflepuff's team, just that last time they'd played Ravenclaw, they had won. Hopefully, history wouldn't repeat itself today.

Ophelia made her way to her usual spot during these matches-- the bench. She was a second-string player who had not a single match of official Quidditch match experience. She sat down, unbothered by this fact. She'd practised plenty, and she'd played before. If it all came down to it, she knew that she'd do her best to catch that snitch and find a way for her team to win.

This was it, Aston's first quiddich match, sure he was only a benched beater but just being on the team was more exciting then having to watch as an audience like last year. He always spent some time in the holidays practising, despite it being his first time he wasn't too nervous. Aston took his seat on the bench and waited, eager for the match to start.

Winnie walked onto the Quidditch field and mounted her broom, the cool spring air causing her ponytail to flow freely behind her as she rose into the sky. She had gotten more confident the last few months, seemingly recovering from her fear of heights after her fall from the owlery in December.

Quinn smiled as she breathed the fresh air outside. It felt like it had been years since she had been on the pitch. The hoops high in the sky seemed to glint and call her name, telling her to score, telling her to join them. She smiled even wider as she noticed her best friend Ophelia.
"Hey Ophelia!" She said as she made her way over to her friend.
"I hope you get to play today, not that I wish any harm if you know what I mean." Quinn said with a smile.

What horrible weather. The sky was painted a dull grey, yet no cool breeze came to welcome Ebony onto the Quidditch Pitch. The gloomy atmosphere was accompanied by a suffocating stiffness, the humidity in the air making her hands stick unpleasantly as she squeezed her broom tightly. Ebony tried to shrug off the negative thoughts; it could have been worse. At least it wasn't sunny.

Nevertheless, Ebony was determined to do well today; a little dislikeable weather couldn't possibly stop Ravenclaw. They had to make this game count, especially given how it was their very own captain's last game. Fuelled with renewed Quidditch energy at the thought, the fourth year launched into the sky, ready to bring her best game.
