Ophelia only had eyes for the game now. During a Quidditch match, there was just so much going on all the time, and it was just so easy to miss something very, very important if one looked away for even a single moment. That was why she stared at the players in the sky, her attention rapt.

The Ravenclaw girl cheered as her team scored, but her real focus was on the seeker that she'd have to replace if something terrible happened. It seemed that the opposing team's seeker had already spotted the snitch, as was announced, but all could not be lost. Ophelia believed in the abilities of her team, if not those of her own.

Andy now it is time. The main keeper was knocked off their broom. Andy got on his broomstick and jumped up into the air onto the field. This is the first time ever Andy got on the field. He knew that Ravenclaw where losing by just a bit, but a couple save by Andy can do a lot. He focused on the quaffle and when the ball will get close to the hoops, he will try to block it. If anything, blocking any shots is the top priority. He slapped his hands together, and got ready to play a good game...

The first round hadn't been that bad, had it? At least they had gained a certain advantage over the Ravenclaw team. Thirty points to twenty, and it seemed Elsian had spotted the mischievous little golden ball. Not to mention that the blue team had lost their keeper. Not that it was a particularly pleasant sight, Meyra had cringed and grimaced as she watched Charlie fall off her broom when Alejandro had pulled off a brilliant stunt against her. That had been the only thing that had disconcerted her though, seeing that her teammate had been caught cheating!

The game started and I kicked off the ground. The chasers wasted no time squabbling for the quaffle. Finnegan has been superb for us as he scored 3 times to make the score 30-20. A bludger was sent my way but I quickly swerved out of the way avoiding it, just about. With most of the players distracted, I flew over to the other side of the pitch and bumped into the Ravenclaw keeper sending her to the ground.
"Blatching! Alejandro- that's a penalty lap for you! Blatant disrespect of the rules..."
Come on! Shouldn't the ref be keeping an eye on the other players with the balls. Nonetheless the deed was done. I reluctantly started my penalty lap around the field.

Ethan and Pax sent a bludger flying towards Lavinia, hoping to see her fall off her broom. Her teammate quickly swooped in and caught her, saving her from ending up lying face down in the mud. Still, it's a small victory against their opponents. “Damn...” he mutters, grinning as he looks over at Pax. “Nice shot.”

• Allies gain a 10% chance to auto-hit on all actions needing an accuracy vs evasion roll. This does not stack.

Gray skies, the blur of Gryffindor and Ravenclaws colors; he peered past it all as he scanned what felt like the entirety of the pitch… but no snitch. Elsian sighed, ruffling strands of dark hair as he peeked towards Ravenclaws seeker as if checking whether she had any clue to the snitches location but no, it didn’t appear so. Not even a glimpse of gold…of course it could never be too easy.

“Yeah,” he chuckled, looking away and down towards the distant ground, scanning, “I’m not that lucky-”

Something small and gold fluttered through the air, buzzing back and forth briefly before darting forwards and up like a dragonfly. It paused right there, just barely out of reach and hanging in the air ahead of him. The freaking snitch-

It was right there!

“No way-” he breathed, and he could feel himself tensing, one hand tightening on his broom because Elsian wasn’t that lucky but-

It fluttered, getting ready to dart away again. He followed it’s lead and dove after it.

It seemed everybody was jumping straight into action as the players around Ebony became a swirl of blue and red. She tightened her grip on both her bat and her broom as she shot forward to join the chaos.

She glimpsed the heavy metal ball that she was supposed to handle and prepared a shot. She sure took her sweet time, ensuring that she had gauged the correct angle, and then finally making contact with the bludger. It emitted the sweet 'plonk' that sent it towards its target -- the captain. It seemed cruel, but Ebony couldn't help filling up with disappointment at the sight of them managing to stay on their broom.

Oonagh watched the game at play halfheartedly, her broom balanced between her knees and her chin propped on the top of the handle as her gaze lazily followed Pax through the sky. A grimace pulled her face into a frown as she saw Pax take a hit after joining forces with the other beater at play. Ethan, who had proven to know how to stay on his broom at the least in the last match.

Momentarily she would glance over at one of the people sitting with her, benched. "Wha dae ye think the featherbrains gae'n for next? A reckon they tak doun Pax, people seem tae like doin" she asked with a bit of true curiosity but also a fair amount of impishness. The boy she was sitting with was older than her for sure and Oonagh thought she could remember him seeing him at a few of the practices but he was not part of the team for long. So his name was lost to her. @Nicholas McCowan

Quinn grinned as she watched her team score a couple points. The other team started to get ahead and Quinn got a little worried. Oh my gosh-is that Lavina? Quinn wondered. Quinn zoomed to catch Lavina with her broom and saved her before she hit the ground.
"Are you good?" She asked her. She wanted to make sure her teammate was ok before she continued playing.

Winnie blinked in surprise as she was pulled into a tight hug by the brunette, who asked if they would need to break her out of St. Mungo's after this. "No?" Was her unsure response, her inner voice piping up that they would never go back.

She seemed to remember more as she got back into the swing of it, reminding herself not to look down. She did manage to score a few times, but when people started to tumble out of the sky she had to shut her eyes to keep herself from panicking.
