Another Quidditch match with no sun. I guess its alright. Its not raining cats and dogs like the last game. We won against Hufflepuff but that game dragged out wayy too long. I sat in the locker room once again, excited for the match against Ravenclaw. They were really good but I'm feeling strangely quite optimistic today. Maybe it was the momentum of winning the match prior.

Nicholas yawned loudly as he settled into his position on the bench. He’d felt the need to take up sport again following his departure from racing. Quidditch, with its fast pace and violence seemed a natural fit. Of course, his childhood adoration for the Ballycastle Bats certainly helped matters, but that would distract from his desire to seem cool and aloof. The fifth year was the oldest student on the bench, but he didn’t mind all too much. He needed to be put through the paces before he could compete properly, he supposed. That was the way of it.

The grey skies above her head set the scene as slight winds pulled at her curly strands of hair. A breeze that would be welcome in the air and aid her flight, once she would set off into the air to replace either of their team's captains in flight. Chances were it would be Pax again, as Ethan had held up just as well as Oogie had the last match. A few strands of her hair had been pulled back to tie into her hair, a mix of brave wreathing and actual braids to keep the hair out of her face. Otherwise the wind would make it fly around wildly and block her view, though she had gotten pretty good at aiming even with impaired vision.

"Tough match? We so got this," Oogie interjected confidently, her jersey number a proud double 0. It made her stand out even amongst her own team, true main character vibes. The rest of the lot used their surnames, but not Oogie, she proudly had used the opportunity to make it silly and had it as a pun. However Oonagh had to admit that the speech of Pax did in the end help in making her feel even more on the edge of her seat as she sadly had to drop herself onto the bench as it was not her turn quite yet.

"Do me the favor and fall off quickly again, will you?" she remarked towards Pax, before they could take off skyward, a mischievous expression on her face and a smug lilt to her voice.

It was decent weather, all things considered. Though after everything that had happened with the last game between the Ravenclaw players, whom he’d personally taken to thinking as blood thirsty harpies (affectionate), Elsian wondered if this game in particular was going to be as vicious as the last.

Part of him hoped not.

The other part of him wondered, the one that missed sleeping on the bench, if this game would be the one that allowed their other benched seeker to jump in if he got knocked out of the game. Not that he planned to, Elsian didn’t particularly like being knocked out after all, but recently he couldn’t help but feel a little guilty at the other not getting the chance to jump in during the games.

He wondered if he should say something…Elsian didn’t exactly have the best track record against birds off or on the field after all but…nah. He chuckled to himself, tuning out the thoughts as they all kicked off into their respective places. Somehow, he had the feeling joking about the 1st year getting a chance to play thanks to an early demise was more likely to lead to nerves than anything else.

Ethan sighs as he feels the wind brush against his robes. It's time for another quidditch match with new players, and unfortunately… a runny nose.

He nods along as Pax speaks beside him, but then he lets out a loud sneeze. Ethan quickly wipes his nose on his sleeve. “Excuse me,” he mutters, then turning his attention to his broom. He huffs and clears his throat, trying to focus on the match and not the annoyingly persistent winter cold he can feel coming on.

This wasn't Ophelia's first game, but it still was not safe to say she was an experienced member of the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. She still hadn't actually, you know, participated in any of the games. Being part of the team and practice was great, amazing even, but she didn't really have any experience in the real heat of a match. And she really, truly hoped that today was not going to be the day to change all of that.

It wasn't sunny, the skies were grey and there was a slight wind in the air. Not like that one game that Ravenclaw had won at all, but that didn't mean there wasn't a chance. Ophelia believed in her team, and she would be there to cheer them on every step of the way.

Winnie Harper had only returned to Hogwarts a little over two weeks ago, but she was already expected to be soaring back in the sky, hundreds of feet about the ground. Apparently she had loved Quidditch. Not that she could remember; she had lost her memories after the fall, trauma induced amnesia, as it were.

The mere thought of being so high up made her stomach lurch; she had a vivid memory of dangling over the owlery before 'falling'. Shaking hands clung onto her broom as she entered the field with her team mates. They were all so cool, and Winnie did recall small things about them. Like how the girl with the beautiful curls was named Aly and they were friends. "S-So if we fall, they Arresto Momentum, right?"

The recent victory against Hufflepuff should've put him in high spirits, but he knew they were unlikely to come out on top today. The more he'd watched Ravenclaw, the more he'd come to understand they simply didn't have a weak area and he wasn't all that keen on backhanded tactics. Victories, no matter how rare for the red-and-gold house, only felt true if they were earned through hard work and skill. They had plenty of the former but much less of the latter. Perhaps they'd get lucky for a change though, it never hurt to hope...

2025 had finally arrived! It was a new year, but would there be a new me? Yes! Jorah had experimented with different training routines over winter break, dead hangs, dead lifts, dead man burpees. If it made you feel like you dying, he tried it. Jorah returned to Hogwarts stronger and more handsome than before. How is this possible? Well with God and anime on your side, anything is possible. Having just finished binge watching, Attack on Titan, Jorah was a changed man, well a changed boy. Anyway enough of that. Time for Quidditch. Jorah kicked off into the air ready to put the Lion's courage to the test.
