"I-I'm sorry, did I mess it up?" Winnie asked Noah with a furrowed brow, shoving the letter he had sent her via owls into the small clutch purse she'd been carrying. She'd feel terrible if she had done something to interrupt the game... Maybe they could switch cards and start all over again?
Winnie clenched her hands by her sides when Mathias appeared beside her. It wasn't a surprise; they had come here together. Still, his presence looming over her felt like a weight pressing against her chest. How he could slip into character with ease, despite the bad impression of an Italian accent, was horrifying. "Wait... What?" Having just got there, she had no idea what he was talking about, but blinked over in Alister's direction. It seemed their characters had some beef.
In total Winnie may have caught... Fifty percent of what AJ said to her. The guy had the thickest accent she had ever encountered; and she lived in Ireland. She did understand that he seemed to be trying to help her by saying something about dye, and offered him a thankful smile, "Yes, with my hair it's better to not risk turning it green. Heard that's common for redheads." Wait, was her character a redhead? Well, he was now.
Evelynn was soon by her side to offer a helping hand after her slip up. Of course she was; the girl had every marking of a heroine. "Well, I'll do my best not to decorate the glasses for you, miss."
This time when the lights went out there was no Percival to 'accidentally' grab onto, so the startled redhead would reach out to try and grab her 'fiancé' only to discover he was no longer next to her, "M-Mattie?" Her voice quivered as she broke character, her eyes darting around in the dark as she heard shuffling, but she couldn't see anything.
She watched as Noah closed the distance between him and Matt, watched as the knife 'wedged' itself into his chest, and she couldn't stop herself from shouting, "Don't hurt him!"
Her hands flew up to cover her mouth and she squeezed her eyes closed. It's a game, it's a game, she reminded herself, no one is going to actually get hurt, especially now that Matt has to lay down and stay still.
Swallowing her anxiety, the Ravenclaw would try and focus on the game. AJ's character was looking suspicious, or perhaps Pericles was feeling territorial around Eve's date. She couldn't quite tell. Winnie found herself fond of 'Dr. Giovanni', however. He had saved her after her slip up after all. Still, it didn't mean he wasn't a suspect. If Pericles had been targeted it also meant that he was innocent, unless the murder was allowed to attack themselves and purposefully fumble, that seemed a tad bit too complicated.
"I suppose now isn't the time to drink..." She nodded at Eun-ji, her eyes flickering to Mathias' 'dead' body. "When the people around us are dropping like flies..."

Whispers of the Dark

| (@Evelynn Decipio) (@Eun-ji Lee Hunt) (@Allister-Jameson MacAllister) (@Cassius Eden) (@Winnie Harper) |
┏ ┓ Instead of turning her nose at the ugly sound Pericles laughed into his mocktail, Eun-ji whispered a playful tease. “Don’t choke on me now, you still owe me a dance.” There passed a merciful moment in which Pericles forgot the game, the ruse to ensnare Tone, the lot of it. For the first time, it seemed he was attending a ball with not only with a competent dancing partner, but a notable lack of life-threatening situations. He almost allowed himself to have a good time. Aside from the romantic turmoil which led them there, it was a nice change of pace. He answered with a boyish smile soon hidden by his drink.
Some among them hadn't yet realized that games within games were at play. When Evelynn spoke simultaneously to him, Peri tried to look her way for a Great minds think alike wink, only for her to grumble a steely "Never mind" and avoid his eye. No... she was avoiding him. She had been since the start. That was hardly fair. Wasn't he supposed to be acting betrayed? Trying to pin what this was all about, the Ravenclaw considered her carefully, head tilted at a birdish angle. Yet with a ruffle roll of the shoulders, his expression sobered, and Tony DeLuca was back in the game. Suspicion grew for Winnie when she skirted around his question about the bar incident- was she ignoring him on purpose, too? But he thought about her monotone act at the start, and surmised she was simply struggling with roleplaying. That is, until the startling shout of "Don't hurt him!" Winnie was given a wide-eyed look that turned to pity once he realized she wasn't acting. Much like the Circinus pink ribbon reference, he hadn't forgotten what came to light in their summer tent.
Eun-ji helpfully followed up by redirecting his question from the now "dead" Matthias to AJ Doctor Giovanni. She was inadvertently bolstered by Eve asking why they two had interacted at all. But Pericles believed he was as innocent as his character was portrayed. AJ was not his suspect. He had reached a new conclusion: Eve was avoiding him because he knew her tells. That had to be it. She was going to find herself under the full scope of his scrutiny, head turned to the right so he could fix the unblinking left upon her. A smirk slowly stretched into place throughout the duration of her spiel. The defensive fold of her arms, the way she seemed to squirm under his attention, trying to divert it with pointless questions at an innocent doctor about an already dead suspect. It added up. As much as his initial deduction might have begun out-of-character, Peri surmised the situation fit his narrative. "A clever killer would target the doctor... but wouldn't shoot the man they were witnessed berating at the start. One can learn just as much from who wasn't targeted as who was." This seemed like the most logical conclusion... that is, unless, the killer hadn't been logical at all and fired at random, which "Tony" admitted was wholly possible. His chin lofted and eyes hooded as he murmured, "What was that about your baking being to die for, Miss Mancini?"┗ ┛

| xxx | 𝓢elf control and patience were both in short supply, it seemed, the corner of Evelynn's mouth twitching with irritation as rather than detach from the provocation, @Pericles Dralt clung to it. "A clever killer would target the doctor... but wouldn't shoot the man they were witnessed berating at the start." "Oh, is that so." Spoken rather monotonously, it wasn't a question as much as a dry why-are-you-still-talking reply. "One can learn just as much from who wasn't targeted as who was." "Yes," she clipped, her gaze filled with more poison than her cupcakes ever could be. "You certainly can. But I have to say, I am disappointed that you would think me so lacking in cunning. If I was the murderer, I would have targeted the doctor precisely for that reason. Not only is it practical, but most would have considered it far too obvious after directly confronting him right from the start. And if he had been targeted, most would assume someone else had been attempting to capitalize upon the animosity. It would have been a perfect cover, really." The ice in her tone went deeper than the superficial characters. Annoyance flared at having to speak with him at all when he'd done his best to cut short their conversations for the past week; and all the more that he really seemed to believe her approach to the game would be so basic. "But do go on. Your continued suspicion will likely mean my continued survival. A smart murderer would use this-" She gestured between Pericles and herself. "-to their advantage. If I had to make a prediction, you will not find yourself so lucky a second time when a bullet targets you again. The murderer will take out one amongst the group well known for their intelligence, and if they are lucky, the lot of you will vote me off at the same time. Another two birds with one shot, although they may very well attempt to split the vote to prevent a majority in order to keep me in the game, and therefore keep the suspicion off of them." "Doctor Giovanni would meet his end next, certainly. We can already assume the innocence of the officer, and his death would simply reinforce my identity as the murderer while simultaneously keeping alive alternative suspects, strengthening their own vote by limiting the voting pool, and increasing reliability of their kill attempts by preventing medical intervention." From there she lifted a hand, all five fingers splayed. "That would leave myself, Mister Rossi, Officer Ricci, Miss Marina, and Mrs. Romano. Mister Rossi, assuming the slip at the beginning was true, would be the third victim--" She put down a finger, leaving four. "--with the hopes that votes would be split between the three remaining aside from the officer. Since I would still likely be the first of the suspects by this point, the fourth target would be either Miss Marina or Mrs. Romano, with the intent that I would be voted out--" Two fingers closed, leaving only two remaining. "--therein leaving only the officer and the victorious murderer. "So.." Her gaze panned to the rest of the group. "A smart individual would vote Miss Marina or Mrs. Romano." By this point, her voice had taken on a matter-of-fact tone. "The murderer is one of them. And by the way in which the general store owner threatened the officer..." The shrug of her brow had led her gaze to stray to settle upon @Cassius Eden. "Then again..." Her brows furrowed, head canting slightly as she reconsidered some of what she'd said. |

Whispers of the Dark
Noah looked at Matt on the ground, a mischievous smile on his face. It looked almost as if he enjoyed this. "You aren't getting a pillow Matt." He wanted to say more, but nay he needed to be mature. Well, mature for the most part, he was still considered a kid.
The Gryffindor stepped over Matt to get a tablecloth, something he was originally going to use to put under the mocktails. He walked back over to Matt and handed him the tablecloth. "Use it as a blanket, a cushion, I don't care."
He looked at Winnie, wondering how she's struggling to play a character. "You know. housemaid," Noah said, implying her role because he lowkey forgot her name. He had nine names to remember! "if you want help, I can help you." He said, but before he could continue talking to people, he figured he'd go ahead and get the next round going.
Slapping on the wall, just as he did recently, he used it as a way to notify that he was turning out the lights (and turning on it ain't that time yet). Noah saw the lips of the murderer as the natural light hit them. The bullet hitting a target.
He beat on the wall, turning on the lights and once again beat on the walls for the lights to go back out. The light was only on momentarily just so the doctor could see who the victim was. Noah knew who it hit and he knew there was no saving this young man.
He slapped the wall. The lights were turned on and he walked over to Pericles. He would try to whisper in his ear. "You're dead. Lay down."
Whenever Pericles would lay down, Noah would grab his wrist and suspend it a foot off the ground to let go. The sound of the palm of the hand slapping the floor would be heard and the Gryffindor would smile.
"All dead. All dead." He sang, his voice raspy and unfavorable. "All dead. And gone."
He looked around. "Unfortunately, my friends... we do not have a majority vote this round. Now, since the Mechanic is dead and I want to be funky, Tony voted for Sofia." He looked at the "dead" body with a cocky expression.
He eyed Evelynn, Eun-ji, AJ, Cassius, Winnie, and Opeila. "Two down, five more to go."Information Section: Please ReadReducioInformation

Notice
Every mod post, you will notice that the light goes out every time there is a murder. The light stays out for 1 minute to allow the murderer to conceal the weapon in some way and to avoid suspicion. When the light goes out, you'll hear a bang from the nerf gun and if you feel yourself getting shot with a foam bullet, you have been killed. You may lay down on the ground and play dead. You may find a funny pose to be in, whatever. When the light goes back on, a vote will be held to accuse someone of the murder.
I've been accused of a murder! What do I do?
Well dearie, you would've been considered "executed" if the majority votes you as murderer. This means that you are out. The game is over when all of the players are dead except for the detective and murderer, or when the murderer has been accused and executed.
How do I vote?
Every round, you need to send me an owl of who you're voting or accusing. Additionally you MUST post otherwise your vote will be seen as invalid.
I did not post for a round or more, what happens? (if you don't send me your vote but post, it's okay, don't worry about it.)
The murderer will likely kill you the next round.
I'm the murderer! What happens now?
Post each round. Send me your target via owl. In Character, when the lights go out, you can pull out your nerf gun and shoot your target. You will have the rest of the minute to hide the gun or conceal it.
I'm the detective! What happens now?
Post each round. Send me your accused victim via owl. You cannot be killed.
I'm a doctor! What happens now?
Post each round. Send me your accused victim via owl. There will be a second blackout in the mod post in where you will have a CHANCE of healing the shot victim.
I was a shot victim! I was healed!
Good for you, you may continue in the game. However, one of your limbs have been ic AMPUTATED so in roleplay, you would not have that limb because the doctor amputated the shot limb.
What if I have to leave Out of Character and I'm the Murderer or a Doctor or a Detective?
That's fine, just please notify us at some point. We will owl another person and give them an additional "title" for their character that they are already playing. For example: Baker is now Murderer but still the same character, you don't gain another. When it comes to a detective and a doctor, unfortunately, we won't pass it on. The game continues until its over.
Please note: We are taking actions via owl so that actions and votes are anonymous to keep the mystery. What you choose to say or do in your post whether ooc or ic can be used against you so do your best to keep your "secret" role anonymous. If you are a detective or a murderer it can be used against you if you say it out loud. We suggest coming up with an undercover job to conceal the fact. Not required, you could be vague, but what you say and do whether oc or ic can be used against you.Mod Post Content: Mods

Whispers of the Dark

Though the Ravenclaw prefect turned general store owner had intended to head for the bar, he was stopped by the touch of his date turned nemesis. Instead he turned, facing the woman with a defiant yet curious gaze.
"Well, Miss Romano. How about we make a deal," she said as she adjusted his collar. "I'll get you a drink and pay you back, if you manage not to lie to me in this investigation, yes?"
Cassius drew in a sharp breath, their proximity and her hands on his collar making his heart race. It was almost enough to get him to break character. Almost.
The moment was disrupted by a sudden darkness that consumed the room. The first of their number had been eliminated seemingly before they could even begin. It was a shame. Of those present in the ballroom, @Mathias Pride had been one he was hoping to speak with. After all, a not so insignificant portion of Summer Camp had been spent catching up on teenage gossip. Much of it involving that boy in particular. Surely Mathias could not be as evil and deranged as they made him out to be.
Alas, it was a question to be answered another time. Turning to Opeila, he lifted a hand to her cheek and cupped it sensually. "Darling, you cannot afford me," he said, a devilish grin gracing his features before he stepped back, shifting position towards the center of the room. "But if you wish to try, you can buy me a drink. It best be top shelf. I will know if it is not."
He winked and took a step back towards the center of the room. Another pseudo-hair toss accompanied a sassy posture as the amateur femme fatale took in his surroundings. Who were these people really? What were they hiding under the masks?
Not finding anything obvious, he turned back to @Opeila Winters. "I will allow you this, officer. I have no intention of lying during this investigation nor have I ever. I have the utmost respect for law enforcement, you see. The only trouble I have is not with the institution itself, but with the men who wear the badge."
Cassius turned then towards @Evelynn Decipio who had in turn focused her attention on him as a possible suspect. "Men are always the problem. Mmm?" With a coquettish smile he winked at her. "And it is Miss Romano, dear."
His hand settled on his hip as he glanced back towards @Opeila Winters. "If you want my opinion -- which you should if you want any hope of sealing our deal with a kiss later -- I would suggest you be a good officer and listen to a woman for a change. Start with Miss Marina. If it is not her, then it must be Miss Mancini. I would not trust a man to be such a subtle killer. This has the feel of a woman's touch."
Cassius turned towards @Eun-ji Lee Hunt and @Evelynn Decipio, lowering his voice but still loud enough for the entire room to hear. "It is nothing personal, loves. I just have no intention of going home alone tonight."
Action: Observing.

Whispers of the Dark

@Cassius Eden @Aaron Jones
Opeila didn't dare move her gaze from her hand on his collar, fearing that something... she couldn't even say exactly, that something might snap if their eyes met now. The Slytherin had dated Aaron for almost a year and until now she had been certain that it had gotten her used to physical proximity. Aaron and her had been close all the time without a problem, so what was happening here right now?
And then he cupped her cheek with his hand, making her look up after all. For a few seconds, the young woman felt frozen in place, then he turned away from her, seemingly not having the slightest problem to stay in character. Goddamn it, be cool, Opeila.
Visibly flushed, she took a breath and cleared her throat, doing her best to slip back into her role. Detective Ricci. She had to investigate, not get distracted by a way too flirtatious, good looking- right.
Opeila walked over to the table with the beverages and picked up another one, mainly grateful for the roughly seven extra seconds it gave her to collect her thoughts again. She took another sip from her own before offering the other one to Cassius. "There you go, Miss Romano. I trust you'll have nothing to criticize about this one."
"I will allow you this, officer. I have no intention of lying during this investigation nor have I ever. I have the utmost respect for law enforcement, you see. The only trouble I have is not with the institution itself, but with the men who wear the badge."
The Slytherin cocked her head, looking at him with an expression, that she hoped looked inquisitive, as a detective should. "You are not helping your case by lying more, you know?" It seemed she wasn't the only one learning new information about her character...
This has the feel of a woman's touch."
... What did he just say?
"Oh, I would never dream of disregarding a voice because it belongs to a woman. In fact, I would love to hear more of yours."
The moment the words left her mouth she wanted to take them back. What had sounded like a fun flirt in her head sounded just stupid out loud. "Anyway!", she added quickly, "I believe your own innocence is still in question as well, is it not, Miss Romano?"
She just took another sip of her drink, when Cassius addressed the two other women. Opeila's eyes widened a little and she took a deep breath, trying to think of a witty remark- and half a mouthful of margarita went down her airway.
She turned away, coughing. To hell with witty remarks, she thought, picked up a napkin and chucked it vaguely in Cassius' direction.

┏ ┓ Either Pericles was blinded by bias, or he was on to something. He sported that smarmy smirk all throughout Evelynn's icy rebuttal, and to top it all off, responded with The Shrug. The killer could be utilizing either tactic, or even none at all. Chaos killing was a viable option. The only point he sought to object was "Miss Marina has no motive against me." Eun-ji's character was dismissed from the line of suspects with a handwave. He didn't defend "Romano". Maybe it was the veil of bias talking, after all.... "The only ones who seem to are you, and whatever grudge Mister Carlo had against my Duesenberg being by his bar." The callout was lined with resentment for the fact that Winnie hadn't deigned to reciprocate his act, or acknowledge it at all really, but lacked any real blame. Their barkeep let slip at the start that her only objective was to avoid dying. Cassius looked preoccupied with courting the detective, and while schmoozing a cop might have made him a glaring suspect in reality, the gratuitous flirting appeared genuine. That left the dodgy baker, who seemed to have snagged the bulk of Pericles' attention since she stepped into the room. At Noah's knock, he met her gaze with a cheeky opening of arms, put his back to the wall, and closed his eyes as the dark enveloped them. Once more came the click of a trigger, the barely perceptible impact of styrofoam, and this time a monotone "Augh" of disappointment. Pericles had been shot.
When the lights flickered on, he could be found frowning at the pair of foam bullets by his boot. He glanced across the way at AJ, signaled for his help with a raise of his drink, and waited with bated breath as the lights went out again. Noah's approach didn't bode well. The too-tall teen hunched, turning an ear to catch that whisper, then loosed a forlorn sigh. He slid into a seated position against the wall (notably distanced from Mathias), limbs limp as their host dropped his hand to the floor. Hearing his vote announced coaxed a curious look. Was he right, or was it a red herring? Was Noah trying to end things early? The "corpse" couldn't say, only observing in silence, occasionally sneaking licks of salt and tajin from the rim of his glass. He hadn't expected to live long once he risked running his mouth, but at least he'd "died" in arms reach of the snack table.┗ ┛

Whispers of the Dark
Despite the question regarding Doctor Giovanni’s and mister Bianchi’s grudge being voiced out twice, there was no clear answer besides the doctor’s statement that the teacher was speaking nonsense. If he was, why not tell what he was lying about? The Ravenclaw didn’t really feel like wasting time by asking the same question for the third time. Although she did note his statement about sometimes telling the truth and sometimes not.Full Outfit * @Allister-Jameson MacAllister, @Evelynn Depicio, @Winnie Harper, @Mathias Pride, @Cassius Eden, @Opeila Winters, @Pericles Dralt
Eve was clearly frustrated about being the target at this point and the jealousy she was most likely feeling at the moment didn’t help the matters either. Eun-ji just wished she wouldn’t give Peri a cold shoulder as well. Perhaps she should try even harder to be the villain in their little game of hearts. That was for later though. For now she wanted to focus on the actual game. Cass still didn’t give them much to work with at this point and Winnie was all over the place. So much so that Noah offered to help her...only he made a mistake. “The housemaid will be just fine.” She couldn’t help but tease a little. Good to know even the executioner was confused by all the roles in the game. That was unfortunately the last statement she could make. Before she could even digest Evelynn’s long rant, the lights went out and it was time for the murderer’s rein.
When the light came back on, it was announced that Peri did not manage to avoid the bullet for the second time and Tony, the mechanic was out of the game. It was a strange feeling. Eun-ji was used to always relying solely on herself and nobody else. Yet, when Peri got dragged away from her side, she felt a brief pang of unease. She knew he was someone, who would have her back but she did not realize, she was already counting on him and she didn’t like it. Losing control unnerved her. Gritting her teeth the witch steeled herself once more, determined to distract herself with her role. She had to since Miss Marina was currently being accused by the flirty shop owner. Eun-ji fought hard not to cringe at the ongoing wooing, which did not seem entirely for the sake of the game. In fact, from what she gathered so far, it even went against Cass’ character. She was not used to physical affection and as such wasn’t all that interested in PDA either but ended up saying nothing and her expression remained unaffected as well.
“Yes, Miss Mancini certainly does seem to have a problem with men.” The Ravenclaw agreed bitterly, giving Eve a not so friendly side eye before turning back to Cass. “That is the only thing I can agree on with you however. To me the killing looked rather messy since the murderer had to try twice. Besides how would you know, Miss Romano? Do you have enough expertise on murder to guess it was a woman?” She paused for a moment, letting the detective speak. At least all the flirting didn’t cloud Pei’s judgement. “Precisely. You are a woman as well. Besides I had no reason to kill Mr. DeLuca. He was the only one that had my back and never accused me of anything.” The baker was center of attention for long enough. If the shop owner wanted to throw out accusations, then she had to expect retaliation as well. “No need to worry. You can still leave with the handsome officer, you might just not go home and wear a pair of handcuffs when you do.”

Without a second thought, the mechanic had dismissed @Eun-Ji Lee Hunt Miss Marina as a possible suspect citing lack of motive. "And what motive do I have?" Her voice flared with exasperation. It was her turn for her expression to silently speak 'really??' as what she would argue as a well thought-out argument for assessing the identity of the killer was thrown out the window. "That I refuse to sit idly as you cast unfounded accusations calling for my guilt when I have done no--?" The slap of a hand against a wall interrupted her attempt to defend herself, and moment's later she heard the tell-tale grunt of someone being hit. By the time the lights came back on, she was standing with her arms folded across her chest, brow lofting as she looked down her nose to Pericles in a decidedly smug 'I told you so' sort of way. "How unexpected," she drawled with obvious sarcasm, stepping slowly forward towards his 'corpse'. Mock sympathy threaded itself into her words as she continued. "If only you had not allowed your judgment to be so clouded." Her croon lowered as she neared, hand slipping into a pocket of her skirt. "Perhaps you might still be alive. I will weep for you. And rest assured, the catering of your funeral will be one to remember." She withdrew a white handkerchief with an embroidered monogram of 𝕰𝕯𝕺, holding it to her mouth, no doubt to hide the quivering lips of sorrow. In doing so, however, she had snagged the invitation. The parchment fluttered to the floor. Crouching, she reached to retrieve it with every intent to tuck it back away, but something caught her attention. She paused, momentarily forgetting her act of feigned grief as it's contents contradicted a previously made comment. Perhaps it was a coincidence? The invitation slipped back into her pocket and out of sight even as her gaze panned back to Pericles. Rising, she closed the distance to him with a funeral walk, twirling the white lily in her fingers. In her black dress and matching wide-brimmed hat, a white lily in her hands and a handkerchief to match, she emulated the very image of a woman in mourning. Her behaviour did not, however. With deliberate and calculated motions, she manipulated the handkerchief into a square fold. Settling into a crouch next to 'the body', she whispered, "May as well make you presentable, mn?" Fingers dipped into Pericles' breast pocket, pulling from it the invitation whose white corner had been peaking from above the seam. "It is not as though you will be needing this anymore.." Her gaze flicked briefly to the text for confirmation before discarding it to make room for the pocket square, a predatory smile spreading across her face. The lily was laid to rest on the dead man's chest while she took her time to arrange the pocket square just right. "Death..." Rising back to her feet, retrieving the lily in the process--she wasn't about to relinquish it to the mechanic, no matter how thematic it may have been--she turned to face the rest. "A fickle mistress, mn?" The flower wafted below her nose as she meandered towards the refreshment table. Fingertips danced along it, the back of a nail sliding a cupcake along its surface. "First the teacher.." Albeit by their own hand... And Evelynn felt no remorse for that fact. Her vote against Pride had been steep entirely in simple dislike for him. In or out of the game, he was guilty. The cupcake balanced on the precipice of the table's edge before one more tap of her nail sent it careening to a squishy end upon the floor below. "Then the mechanic.." A biscuit soon followed in its wake, breaking upon the ground into crumbly pieces. "Who next?" "As I was going to continue previously—" When her thoughts had led her to the comment of 'then again...' prior to the lights going out. "—the assumption of the murderer's identity as being either that of Miss Romano or Miss Marina was in the assumption that Winnie's slip-up at the beginning was genuine. If she is not one of the next two found dead at the hand of the killer, then we will know it to be her. But I do not think we have to wait that long..." Lips curled into faint smile as she reached for one of the more complex looking drinks. Lofting it with a swirl, eyes upon the legs of sweet alcohol that trailed back down its interior, she continued in an almost ethereal sort of musing. "Now... my goal is not to avoid dying. No. It comes for us all in the end. But I would sooner take my final breath when I am old and gray and after a life well lived." She wafted the drink below her nose before holding it at arm's length for inspection. "No, my goal is to avoid being killed before my time. Perhaps the mechanic was on to something. He was quite invested with that rimmed drink of his... And there was only one individual with a motive against him." Her steps continued around the refreshment table, passing by @Allister-Jameson MacAllister, @Opeila Winters, and @Cassius Eden as she did. "Miss—" The emphasis on the proper title was given as a courtesy to correction she'd received. "—Romano may be right. This does have a feminine touch. They say that poison is a woman's weapon after all." Evelynn would know, given her character's apparent familiarity with the substance. Her steps continued until she found herself face to face with @Winnie Harper. "Do tell me, Mister Rossi... You are the expert alchemist here... how do you prefer to hide your poison? In the ice? The bitters? Sprinkled around the rim?" Lofting the drink she'd taken from the table, she slowly upended it to pour upon the floor at Winnie's feet. |

Whispers of the Dark
Eun-ji thought at last, Evelynn and her might be on the same side since she decided to retaliate against Cass’ accusation. Alas, the things did not go the way she expected…like AT ALL.Full Outfit * @Allister-Jameson MacAllister, @Evelynn Depicio, @Winnie Harper, @Mathias Pride, @Cassius Eden, @Opeila Winters, @Pericles Dralt
For some reason, before any further questioning, the Gryffindor decided to follow Peri’s corpse instead. What is she doing? Eun-ji eyed her suspiciously. Wait. Was she checking Peri’s card? The Ravenclaw’s gaze shifted to Noah momentarily. Did he see? Was this really allowed? A small frown appeared on her face. It was brief but undoubtedly there. Eun-ji always liked to play fair, unless it was a game where foul play was necessary. As a part of the curious eagles, she also liked figuring things out even if took a bit longer. This was not how she wanted to do things even though Evelynn appeared to have found something. Well at least that’s what her expression said. Who knew if she was actually being sincere or just pretending to get the attention off her? Nevertheless, the witch remained silent, watching the scene play out.
As it turned out, the Gryffindor did a 180 turn, suddenly letting go of all her previous suspicions and accusing the one person she had yet to accuse. Approaching the bartender, she swiftly began another speech looking more confident than ever...only Eun-ji couldn’t see why. There was not all that much new information after Peri died. If there was such a vital clue to point at Winnie on his card, why did he never accuse her? Well, he did question why Mister Rossi towed his car but that was basically it. He was way too smart to miss something Eve apparently discovered with just one glance. Yes, the slip up at the beginning was basically the only reason one might believe the bartender was innocent but neither of the previously accused was properly cleared of guilt either. Including the housemaid unfortunately.
“What is it with you and poisons, Miss Mancini?” She asked, once again sounding somewhat bitter. This was the housemaid speaking of course. How could she not point that out when both she and the doctor believed her to be very crafty with them herself? Sure, poisoning drinks was a plausible story but so was poisoning baked goods, wasn’t it? Were everybody supposed to just blindly believe her? None of them had actually seen the card so why should they? Then again, who knew what others might think. Not knowing them well enough, Eun-ji didn’t dare to assume anything.
