Task 1: Generating An Idea
Errietta Voltink is a quiet and shy girl, often ignored and bullied by her classmates. She goes to her local high school every day wondering how would life be if she wasn’t who she was. A smart girl, with a very sensitive mind. That is what she was known as. What people didn’t know about her was that she was an adept in martial arts. She loved fighting and when to the gym in secret. When challenged to a fight, she shocks her classmates when she uses all her best techniques against the bully of the classroom. A very strong and tall guy. She’s is known in the school for that, but that is not the end.
One day, she opens the radio to hear that her country, Pylonia, is invaded by their neighbour, Ahnevill. When the enemy wins, everything and everyone in her world changes.
The school faculty is laid off and replaced with Ahnevillian professors. The students go through a series of physical tests and unexpectedly, Errietta shines, especially in the fighting. A private corporation of Ahneville, Revence Group, receives these results. It is searching for the strongest and most capable student fighters of the nation. Let’s just say that Errietta’s results more than satisfied them.
A week later, Errietta receives a letter, along with a few other teenagers in the school, that she is to be transferred to Revence Training School, as she is quote “particularly adept physically”. She has no way to say no. There was no option. So, the girl got transferred to this place. But it differed a lot from her expectations. The lessons weren’t just difficult, but often enough endangering the student’s lives. It seems that this is not just training. It is military training.
As she rises in the ranks, they note her high intelligence, giving her more important and secretive jobs by the day and trusting her with many important things. That’s when Errietta realises that this is not just a fight school. The best of the best are subjected to these tasks so that they are made into soldiers. And failure was not an option. Because after a point, failure meant death.
Facing this hard reality, Errietta now has to act. Knowing some of the corporation’s deepest secrets, she raises an army of kids, behind the scenes, to try and destroy it. They would overthrow the rule, perhaps thrusting the country into an uprising that would mark the start of its fight for freedom. This wasn’t just for their lives. It was for those of the children to come and al, the innocent murdered in a road to military glory.
The fight against the school started. Could they win?
And most importantly, can they stay alive?
The company wants blood, they justice.
Whose will is stronger?

Task 2a: World Building
Pylonia: Pylonia is the country that Errietta lives in. It is quite big, with many sub districts. A country of advanced technology, great in negotiations, they aren’t very fond of the idea of war, as they have realised the destruction that could ensure.
The country is divided in 15 regions, each much different than the other. In two regions, there are mostly factories and energy plants, among very few houses, mostly off very poor workers who can’t afford housing elsewhere. Another is reserved for military bases and buildings of The Department of War and Defence. The other 11 consist of small towns encircling the country capital, Vylae.
Errietta’s district is one of those small towns going by the name of Numinber. It is quite an industrial town with many shops and small businesses. There are two schools in this town, since it is so small. First, there is Yamga Primary School. It got its name from Anise Yamga, the woman who first opened it many years ago. Errietta’s brother, Stavro, goes there. Then, there’s Olden High, named as such because it is, well, very old.. This is the school Errietta goes to. Her house isn’t far away, just a couple of streets down.
Ahneville: An also very advanced technological nation, not so pacifistic though. Long ago, some of its military bases were struck by Pylonia as redemtion for a “terrorist strike” Ahnevillians committed. Since then, its citizens have a grudge against Pylonia, making them evolve in a very war-loving country. When they feel they have enough, they decide to conquer Pylonia once and for all. Finally.
Ahneville has a program, in which they test all high-school aged kids on their physical abilities. If they do exceptionally well, they are selected by cooperations to do very high-standard military training. In case they don’t survive, they are considered as people off betrayal, and their family lives in shade. If they do though, they quickly rise through military ranks, living a life of riches.

Task 2b: Character Creation
Errietta Voltnik: Errietta is a shy and quiet girl, although very intelligent and empathetic. Even though she is bullied for being “weak” and a “crybaby”, she is an adept in martial arts, a secret passion of hers that she practices without her parents even knowing. Her grades are awesome, a feat she has achieved through relentless study. Her training though was also relentless, she would go to an MMA “school” 5 times a week for an hour or two to train against others her age. Because it felt so difficult keeping this a secret, she became a closed girl, only trusting her brother Stelio and her best friend Miaram with her true side.
When she was picked for the Revence Training School program, her situation became even more difficult, as her parents didn’t know she was a fighter. And the news of her transfer were delivered directly to THEM. And then, she’d have to say goodbye to Stelio. Joining this program would be like going to boarding school. And she wasn’t ready. Though she was going to be a fighter. ‘Till the end of her story.
Stelio Voltnik: Errietta’s little brother. He is an outgoing, extroverted and intelligent boy, who over the years, has cultivated a very strong relationship with his sister. He is awfully sad when she leaves, because they were each other’s closest confidants. Errietta told him about MMA and her double life, and he’d tell her about all his little struggles and his one “love”, a girl called Freya. Well, he was 9, after all. The two of them kept close contact through letters that were, thankfully, not intercepted or checked. And when they revolved, he also took part.
Miaram Hendza: Miaram was Errietta’s first and best friend. They met when they were very little and despite their petty disagreements, they’d never leve each other alone. She too did MMA, but her parents knew. What they didn’t know was that she warmly supported Errietta’s cause. They both went to the Military Program, so either way, they’d still have each other. They were dormies too! And the idea to revolt began from her.
Xavier Gonstoll: A boy originally from Ahneville, whose father is a general. They moved here for his job. Also chosen for the military program, he was placed in the same dorm with the two girls. (The dorms were mixed male-female) He looked at them from afar and they got to know each other in a friendly way. His girlfriend though passed away after a training mishap, and he fell in a depression, questioning himself about the situation and the moral compass of this program. Errietta then finds him and comforts him. Maybe there is also a spark of love between them..?
Together, Errietta, Miaram and Xavier make plans for a revolution to free themselves from the brutality and possibility of death that place has to offer. And together, they make it a proper rebellion. Well-planned and executed perfectly.
Mrs. Derain: The program manager. When the kids tell her their worries and cases of their peers’ deaths, she ignores them, telling them they must follow the rule of “Survival of the Fittest”. Once they realise she is more bad than good, they try to work around her. Though she always follows close behind. And her motives are deadly.

Task 3: Finding Time
Since I’m pretty busy on the weekdays, I’m planning to write around 12500 words per week. If I need more time one week, I can just write less that week and a bit more the next week. If I have time on weekdays, I’ll do my best to contribute to reaching this goal. I’ll probably not stick to it, but it’s a good start.
