Mylo had heard about the many adventures in the divination room, and how it had been well explored to say the least. So when they also heard the professor was asking if people could come round to help clean the room Mylo didn't think twice before making their way over and seeing what needed to be done. They had also heard that Rose might be joining them, which would make it even better as the two of them got along quite well.

Walking into the room Mylo could already see a few other students walking about cleaning up and making sure certain things were put away or tidied. So walking up to the board they started reading on what still needed to be done, and there was quite a lot. The one thing that stood out to Mylo was all the glass that needed to be cleaned, all the crystal balls, mirrors and windows.

This was something they were good at, as it was a chore that at home they often ended up doing as Andrea would always leave streaks on the glass and his pa and dad were busy doing other chores. And Mylo quite liked the feeling of making sure it was all nice and sparkly. So grabbing a dry and wet cloth they wrote their name on the board next to the task and made his way over to the windows to get those done.

On their way Mylo saw Zach using scourgify to clean the crystal balls, that's really smart actually Mylo thought, having forgotten about the cleaning spell. But they weren't quite sure if the fellow prefect had cleaned any of the other mirrors or windows yet, and why clean something that was already clean, and even if it wasn't they wouldn't want to offend anyone by cleaning it again and thus implying it was dirty.

"Hi, I'm Mylo. I saw you were cleaning the crystal balls, have you done any of the other glass like the mirrors or windows?"

Nicky took a wet cloth and approached the shelves. Yuck. She sneezed and covered her face with her sleeve. That classroom was more disgusting than her grandfather's old storage shed. She held back an urge to run away. She hadn't been It woing very well in her classes recently so she needed the points to somehow prove to her house she wasn't a waste of space. She had been keeping to herself lately, especially after flunking the whole duelling season before that. She couldn't look people in the eye now, much less interact with them. She wasn't a quitter but that didn't mean she hadn't considered quitting the team and Hogwarts both over the summer. It sucked to be the worst at everything. She scrunched her nose at the sight of the dusty shelf, then took a step towards it again. This was her least favorite classroom and her least favorite subject. She was only doing it for the house points that she so desperately needed at the time. With a sigh, she continued wiping the shelf while humming a song under her breath. It was "Shape of you" by Ed Sheeran. She wasn't really into modern pop music but the melody was catchy so she couldn't really get it out of her head. Nicky wiped another shelf and sighed. There was way too much dust in that classroom. Which showed that no one ever used the stuff stashed on those shelves and it was pretty much irrelevant. She was glad she didn't pick that subject as an elective because that sure would suck even more than all her current subjects. She wondered if of her prankster friends were all right. She hadn't spoken to them in what felt like centuries because she was practicing her duelling most of the time and when she wasn't doing that she was writing homework. The novelty of magic school had started to wear off and she was beginning to hate the endless pieces of parchment she could never concentrate on. It was an awfully dull experience, especially when the essays required a lot of reading in Magic history or other subjects equally irrelevant to her. Although even Herbology and potions weren't going so well for her. She was beginning to fall behind and wondered if her dream of becoming a healer was about to become just another broken dream in her collection of failures.

Oof. Another long day, another day to wonder what she was really doing. Because Eugenia was going to do some big, important stuff today. Or at least, that was what she told other people. That day, she was going to help around a bit. And what’s better than some Spring, no, uh, Autumn Cleaning? Well, nothing. Eugenia liked her stuff clean and organised. That, for one. So when she entered a messy space, she would always, for some reason, make mental notes to clean it, or to tell the person she was with to get going.

It was no secret that when she heard that the Divination classroom was more than just messy, she immediately planned her actions. She desperately needed to find time for this. It actually seemed like a great opportunity to help professor Clairmont and simultaneously make her inner “Greek Mother” happy. There is nothing, really, like a nice organised space and Eugenia had no will at all to be in a place looking otherwise. And no one, at least, those that thought like anything other than a hoarder, wouldn’t disagree with such an opinion.

God, hoarders are awful. Well, not all of them. Mostly those who would go to the extreme and make every space with an inch of tidiness dirty. Uh. That, she hated. Why make a perfectly good place floor like a horse stable? You live in a house, darling, not in a barn, for god’s sake.

It was evident she was excited for the task when she entered the classroom. Hmm. What to do? Dust the shelves? Already taken. So was sweeping the floors. Ok. She was never a person interested in playing cards. It was a very tiring thing. So, she never wished to learn which was the name of each and every card. No card things. What about the crystal balls? Well, they did seem kinda sensitive and judging by the fact she hadn’t eaten in a while, she didn’t want to mess the thing up. She was supposed to help the divination professor, not make her go out of her mind.

The thing that appealed to her more was folding the curtains. Yes, that. When she was back at Greece, she loved doing the thing, even though the same result could be achieved by magic. Just folding the curtain perfectly by yourself is just so, so satisfying. No wonder she didn’t want the magic to interfere. At all.

Eugenia walked over to the curtains. She wouldn’t write her name now, there was no need to get the cloth dirty. Grabbing one side of them, she folded it with the other, not stopping to adjust until it was perfect. It did take some time for her to finish, but it was definitely worth it. It looked perfect, so nice that she could begin jumping and smiling. It felt so nice doing this. She wondered whether the other students felt this too.

She left the folded curtain somewhere and wrote her name on the board with chalk. “Eugenia Karageorgiadi”. Leaving the piece of chalk down, she dusted her hands and exited the classroom with a smile. She had done something good today.

Elizabeth entered the classroom with a determined stride, her eyes sweeping the room. Her gaze settled on the board, where she noticed a small smudge in the corner. A grin tugged at the corners of her lips as she saw an opportunity to leave her mark.

She approached the board with graceful steps, her anticipation building with each passing moment. With a flourish, she picked up a piece of chalk and wrote her name next to Zach Zaphiere's, her cursive letters flowing neatly across the surface. As she stepped back to admire her handiwork, a sense of satisfaction washed over her.

Turning her attention to the crystal balls that caught her eyes, Elizabeth's cleaning nature took over. With deliberate movements, she picked up a soft cloth and made her way to the first crystal ball. She gently placed her hand at the base, feeling the cool smoothness of the glass, and began to wipe away any dust or smudges. Each motion was precise, and she couldn't help but smile as she recalled her promise from the previous year. Fulfilling it now brought a deep sense of happiness.

Moving on to the next crystal ball, Elizabeth paused to survey the mirror and the windows, mentally planning her cleaning strategy. With a sense of purpose, she slowly wiped down the second crystal ball, ensuring that it sparkled. Her attention to detail was good, and she took pride in the gleaming surface she left in her wake.

As she turned her focus to the windows, Elizabeth's excitement at cleaning was barely contained. She sidestepped to a window and began to clean a small circle, her eyes occasionally drifting to the captivating view outside. Each stroke of the cloth was methodical, and as she reached up to clean the higher areas, she stretched onto her tiptoes, her determination unwavering as she tackled each spot with happiness in her heart.

Stepping back to admire her work, Elizabeth couldn't help but feel a surge of pride at the lovely cleaned spot she had achieved. Her excitement bubbled over, and she began to hum softly to herself, the sound accompanying her as she carefully cleaned the lower areas within her reach.

With a sense of satisfaction, she made a mental note to save the mirror for last, wanting to ensure that every surface in the classroom was spotless. The mirror would be the final thing to clean if it had not been cleaned already.

Elvenia walked into the Divination room, immediately noticing the faint smell of incense mixed with dust that filled the air. The room, which should have felt calm and magical, was messy and cluttered. Books, chairs and other items were scattered all around, and some crystal ball holders were broken and left on the floor.

A large chalkboard at the front of the room had a list of tasks scribbled on it, each one demanding attention. Elvenia moved closer, scanning the list with her blue curious eyes. Some tasks involved cleaning the windows, others reorganizing shelves. She raised an eyebrow at the task of finding missing tarot cards, feeling like that would take far more patience than she had at the moment. Instead, her gaze landed on a simpler, more direct job.. throwing away the broken pine holders for the crystal balls. That seemed manageable. "Yes! that would do, I guess"

Elvenia stepped carefully through the mess on the floor. Her shoes lightly tapped the dusty floor as she walked through chairs and scattered papers. The room was even dirtier than she had expected, with broken glass sparkling in the sunlight and torn curtains swaying in the breeze. She thought to herself that the room hadn’t been cleaned in a long time.

She found the broken pine holders in a corner of the room. They were chipped, worn and falling apart. Picking them up carefully, Elvenia could feel the rough edges scratch her hands. It was clear that these holders had once been nice, but unfortunately they were too damaged to be fixed now.

Carrying the holders to the trash bin, she glanced around the room, noticing how others were slowly making progress with their cleaning tasks. The room still looked messy, but little by little it was starting to look better. She watched the dust swirl in the air in the sunlight and hearing the quiet sounds of cleaning made Elvenia feel good. She realized that even a small task like throwing away broken items was helping to make the room more peaceful again.

After carefully tossing the broken holders into the bin, Elvenia stood by the window for a moment, wiping her hands. "There! I wonder if there are more..." She smiled softly to herself, imagining how nice the room would be once everything was clean and organized again. Soon, it would feel like a calm and magical place where students could learn again once more.

Minnie silently cursed herself for signing up to help the divination teacher. The professor and her were....well not exactly buddies, but Professor Clairmont had been perfectly nice to her near the end of last year, and Minnie was making up for that one bad deed. It wasn't as if she had been rude in her detention.

Please just have nothing go badly today. She silently prayed. I can't have this go badly, I can't get another detention. It was true that the year had not started off great, and she was getting caught a lot more often than she would like. Hopefully that would change soon.

Minnie decided to dust down the shelves, grabbing a cloth and making towards the shelves. A few others were doing this as well, but she ignored them. This would go quicker if she didn't interact with anyone.

She started the mundane task of wiping the filthy shelves, full of dust. What was Professor Clairmont doing? Had she even tried? It was mildly annoying. But at least it would be over quickly. And at least she wasn't searching for tarot cards, because who knows where or if they would find them. Yes, she was perfectly happy with her choice.

The dust tickled her nose as she cleared it off a shelf. She sneezed, and sniffed. Great, now the dust is making me sneeze. She sighed inwardly. This was starting to remind her of her detention here. At least she didn't have to write letters this time. That would be very annoying.

Minnie paused for a moment, catching her breath from the mundane but mildly physical task of wipin down different shelves. In detention last year, she hadn't really had to move, she had just had to wip down some crystal balls. That was why she had steered clear of them for this clean up. No need to remind Professor Clairmont of her detention. And no need to keep reminding yourself of it. The past is in the past, and now it's time to move forward, into a better future, and hopefully, a better relationship with the divination teacher.

It wasn't until a few minutes after she'd entered the room that Ophelia truly realised how much of a mess the Divination classroom was in and how much it needed this early "spring" cleaning. All the tasks on the board had felt silly in the beginning, back when she hadn't noticed the clutter, but now, it all made sense.

As Emily and Ophelia worked, someone entered the room and called out a quick hello to them both. The Ravenclaw looked up long enough to see that it was Scout. Sending the Gryffindor a quick wave, Ophelia got back to work.

She'd never used tarot cards before in her life. Never heard of them either, actually. And crystal balls had always been a thing of fairy tales, not really something that Ophelia had believed in being used. But then again, she hadn't believed in magic at all before Hogwarts. And now, the sight of crystal balls and tarot cards that could be used to tell the future weren't so odd. She'd already ridden on brooms and learned spells and brewed potions, what was just a few more things to believe?

Ducking under the table for one last time, the Ravenclaw picked up a few more of the cards. Believing she completed the last of the set that she'd been working on, Ophelia stood up and dusted off her hands and legs. Then, she placed the cards that she'd matched up and found on the table.

Done.

Huh... Finding tarot cards proved trickier than Emily thought. She was wiggling around all over the floor trying to find any of the ones that had mysteriously gone missing. With this many cards in need of finding she was sure she'd come across at least one... Perhaps with a bit of tidying around the rest of the room, Emily would have better luck.

Her attention was steered away when both Scout and Ophelia walked in. Dusting herself off, she went and hugged the pair of them, with an extra special cheek smoosh with Scout.

"Fancy seeing you ladies here! I guess we all just had a little urge to clean up the place today, eh?" she said, grinning.

After a brief catching up, Emily went back to scouring the classroom for those shifty tarot cards - with Ophelia accompanying her - while Scout went off to sweep the floor. Emily couldn't help the side smile that snuck across her face as she caught Scout sweeping away with full energy. Cleaning really did bring the best out of people.

After a while, Emily noticed Ophelia had found a few and went to return them to their designated decks. Emily kept searching behind the back of a few bookshelves before she found one used as a bookmark in an old textbook. Another few, she had found scattered in between the tables and a gap in the wall. How did these cards even get in there in the first place?

In any case, Emily returned them to the other decks in need of completion.

"We've made a good start so far!"

Alliasta was really bored. Seriously, Kaito had decided to fall into one of his eternal sleeps today and there were no people around to hang out with or mess with. Boredom was eating away at Alliasta. What could the girl do to avoid getting bored? Then she started wandering the corridors. Everyone seemed to be minding their own business, say the employees.

When she finally reached the divination classroom, he heard a humming noise from inside. Something's happening inside. Oh right Alliasta had completely forgotten. They were going to clean the Divination classroom today.

"Well, I found myself something to do! yay hehe"

Alliasta walked in, there were a lot of people inside, some were familiar faces, but what she had to focus on right now was cleaning. The girl looked around and tried to figure out what she could do. Her eyes wandered to the mirrors, they were very dusty so she had to clean them! Yes, Alliasta finally found her job with mirrors. After all, mirrors were what allowed her to see herself, and Alliasta loved herself very much.

She looked at the cleaning supplies inside and then grabbed a rag. Perfect for cleaning mirrors. Alliasta moved to a mirror inside. It was difficult to move forward among people, but crowds were commonplace for Alliasta. Her own family was also crowded. Lots of cousins and relatives. She remembered the day they moved her aunt's house. Everyone came, including her favorite cousin. It was fun and wonderful. Again, they were cleaning in such a crowded area. Hogwarts always reminded her, her home. This place is like a second home.

The mirrors were really dusty. Alliasta began to wipe the mirror, muttering something to herself. The hum created by other people mixed with the murmuring, creating a beautiful and peaceful environment. While wiping the mirror from top to bottom, some stains were really difficult to remove, which meant extra scrubbing.

She wiped the mirrors in the classroom one by one. As she was moving to the other place, she saw that a thread of the rag in her hand had escaped and she tried to tear it off. But then she accidentally bumped into someone. When she looked up, she saw Mylo, the same person she was on the same team with in the water races at summer camp.

"Oh hello Mylo! I'm sorry I bumped into you, I wasn't really looking in front of me. I was messing around with the rag in my hand. So, how are you? Or do you remember me?"

─────Ruby was on her way to the Divination classroom. The Professor needed help cleaning up her classroom, so Ruby decided to go and help. She was on schedule with her homework and had nothing else planned today. As she liked to help others, she had put her name down on the paper as soon as the Professor hung it up.

Arriving at the classroom, she saw that a lot of other students were already busy with their tasks. Her eyes wandered around the room, seeing some familiar faces and friends. She waved at some as they looked up when she entered. She took a look at the blackboard were everybody had written down his or her name after the task they were going to do. She took a minute to read and decided she would help Poppy throw away rubbish laying around the room. She took a piece of chalk and put her name right behind Poppy’s. She dusted off the chalk from her hands and prepared herself for the task.

From a corner she grabbed a bin and started for a round around the classroom. She saw Poppy picking up stuff at the other end of the room, so she decided to start at the other end, so they could meet in the middle. The desks in front of her were covered in bits of parchment and broken quills, all over and under the tables. She wondered who would leave a classroom like this? She wouldn’t have the nerve to leave stuff like that, she was taught to put all rubbish in the bin. She got to her knees to get everything from under the tables, and disappeared for a while.

She heard someone sneeze, and came from under a table. Bless you, Minnie. It seemed her friend was also there and dusting of something that made her sneeze. Nice day to be cleaning, isn’t it. She said that with a little laughter in her voice. Minnie didn’t seem to enjoy herself one bit.

She turned her attention the teacher’s desk. This also was loaded with old parchment, broken quills and papers and waste from all sorts of origins. She swept off handfuls of waste into the bin she had placed next to the desk. She wondered how the classroom had gotten into this mess. It was clear it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. When that was done, she picked up one of the cleaning cloths laying around. It was so dusty it could use a sweeping. It wasn’t really her task, but she decided to do it anyway, not wanting to do half a job. As the desk was tidied up and clean, she put away her bin, which was now full. She hoped she did a good enough job and the Professor would appreciate their hard work.
