Appearance: Zoya Chernova stand at 5'6", a bit taller than average, with a pale complexion and slim athletic build. She has long, straight, brunette hair that sits just passed her shoulder blades. Her eyes are a deep red color, although she constantly wears dark brown contacts in an attempt to hide her red eyes.
Personality: Zoya is a rather stubborn teenager. While she will listen to and pay attention to instruction, she will normally seem indifferent and as if she would rather be anywhere else. She will also not take attitude from anyone, not afraid to snap back if someone gives her or one of her friends the littlest bit of attitude. Zoya can be very friendly when she wants to be, especially getting along with other introverts as she would rather sit quietly with others than have to deal with someone else's constant chatter. She is not really used to being around other people constantly, so does not really know how to act. This normally makes other rather nervous around her as she can seem like a rather intimidating person.
History:ReducioZoya Chernova was born February 14, 2008, in Myshkin, Russia. Aleksandr Chernov, her father, is a pureblood wizard who works for the Russian magical government, tracking down magical beings who break the law. Anastasia Chernova, her mother, is a pureblood witch who works at a magical lawfirm.
The first few years of Zoya's life were rather average for a witch or wizard. Weekdays were normally spent with the nanny, learning basic life skills. Weekends and evenings were spent at a variety of events with other pureblood families, she made a variety of friends through these events and enjoyed her life. When she was five years old, her family hired a governess who took care of all her education needs as well as private instructors for ballet and piano.
When she was seven years old, Zoya's life changed. Instead of attending the pureblood events and dinners on weekends and evenings, her family kept her locked away in their home only to interact with the staff as well as the private instructors. While they would allow her to leave the house on occasion, they were afraid for the safety of their child and others, not wanting something to happen to their daughter. At this point Zoya lost most of her friends and spent fewer days out of her home.
Unlike most magical children, Zoya's family decided it was best to not send her off to Koldovstoretz when she was 11 years old. Her governess was replaced with an instructor to teach her everything she would need to know about magic. While the Russian girl excelled at her studies, she did not have the social interaction like students at school would have, resulting in her inability to know exactly how to interact with others as well.
With the change of magical laws all over the world, her parents finally agreed to send the girl to Koldovstoretz at the age of 16 years. She was extremely nervous to begin school with other students for once, especially explaining to other students the reason as to why she was not sent to the magical school so late in her schooling years.
First Magic:ReducioZoya's first instance of magic occurred when she was four years old. It was nothing impressive or extravagant, no-one would have even thought anything of it if they had not seen it happen. The young Russian girl was out in the garden playing around, being watched by her nanny at the time when tripped and skinned her knee on one of the many stone pathways. Being an emotional young child, Zoya immediately went running to her nanny, who at the time assumed the young girl had broken a limb with the amount of tears and sobbing that had occurred. When her nanny was checking her over for any wounds, there were none, all that was left of the injury were the knees being ripped out of her stockings. The injury had completely healed over by the time Zoya had even reached the woman.

ReducioWho knew learning the Patronus spell was going to be so hard. Zoya had never been great at spell casting, so it was no surprise that the Patronus spell was just as hard, if not harder, than everything else. While the girl would get a little whisp on a good day, her main goal was to get to a Corporeal Patronus. Her parents had told her on multiple occasions that it was okay if she did not manage a Corporeal Patronus, not everyone was able to summon one and that was okay. The Russian girl was stubborn though and she promised herself that she was going to get a Corporeal Patronus if it was the last thing she did.
Her tutor had been her biggest supporter throughout the entire ordeal, helping her go through her memories to find which one was her happiest and helped her meet her goal. It was tough though, trying to find her happiest memory in a sea of both good and bad memories. They went through everything from childhood memories to recent memories, even trying some memories twice if she thought she remember something even slightly wrong. The human mind is strange though, and sometimes memories do not stick through the years.
"Try something else, can you think of anyone who makes you really happy and have any memories with them?" Zoya heard the tutor speaking as she sat with her eyes closed, attempting to think of any important memories that could work for the spell. There were a lot of people in her life that made her happy, more than ones that made her unhappy, but at this point everything was getting jumbled together.
With a huff, the Russian girl thought up a memory and attempt to cast the spell. "Expecto Patronum" She called out as clear as possible and as confident as she could be at this point as she opened her eyes. It was disappointing though, as the spell still just a whisp that fluttered around the room before flickering out. She needed something stronger. A knock on the door distracted the girl as she looked up and spotted her closest friend standing at the door. Anton Agapov stood in the doorway, leaning against it like he owned the place as he looked at the girl. That is when a memory was brought to the front of Zoya's mind, the day that Anton found out she was a Dhampir.
It had been a rough day for Zoya, and she had been terrified the boy was going to reject her, call her names, and leave her alone like she had been before, but that is not how things went at all. Anton had accepted the girl for who she was and became like a brother to her, keeping her close and promising to protect her from bullies if anyone were to try anything for her being a Dhampir. It was a precious moment to Zoya, having someone outside her family finally accept her.
With a deep breath, Zoya held up her wand and called out the incantation one last time, planning on stopping for the day if it failed again. "Expecto Patronum!" It started out as a whisp before quickly transforming into an animal Zoya knew well. A Siberian Musk Deer, the fangs of a buck clear as it pranced around the room, weaving between the people before disappearing. She had seen the animals often when visiting her grandparents in the East of Russia. With a laugh, Zoya fell back into the arms that wrapped around her, Anton pulling her into a tight hug as she had finally managed to cast the spell she had been fighting to cast for months.618/500
