Some side advice to firsties, Summer camp is a lot of fun and /can/ do a lot to move your character arc along, but I would be low expectations and understanding about anything that happens there.

July and August are a peculiar time for people where they sign up for and/or start things at camp and then they get busier than they thought they were going to be and it all gets dropped.

The vast majority of summer events I've signed up for have never officially finished. You just kind of vaguely pretend they did IC and scoot your character along. XD

Ironically, most of EmmaLee's friendship plots happen at camp and the balls. XD Cause her friend group is pretty much 90% from foreign schools, but I am very chill about starting a thread and assuming it went in a certain direction bc we planned it to, but didn't necessarily happen "on screen".

Like every single thing tour character does with another doesn't need to be roleplayed as long as you and your writing partner agree that it happened. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Oh yeah nah I totally get that. I just prefer role-playing it out since it keeps me right and there's a papertrail there in case anyone asks "why's this..." or "how come..."

I'm not one to meticulously plan out an idea, instead I just role with a scenario. Role-playing it out to see what happens naturally is what makes role-playing interesting for me.

But like, one thread from last summer isn't technically finished, but we've decided certain aspects of what happened, what they talked about for the rest of the day, etc after what's already been roleplayed, because other threads are more pressing and we had to reference something that would have happened that day (like them meeting Es sister). If that makes sense.

Ahh I see! I'd probably do the same. I've probably pointed it out before but backdating threads isn't my thing. If something has passed then I tend to just leave it be and like yourself, just say what happened after - if people were really looking for an explanation I'd probably do a solo thread explaining everything. Not the classiest move for my standards but it'll do the job.

Now that Em's in second year I want to try and move away from the whole "first time meeting" threads for other second years, since IC we're assuming they've been in the same classes (our in our case, the same House ) It's only really for higher years and first years that I'd be wanting to do threads like them now.
