EXPLANATIONReducio› Students have been separated into semi-randomized groups (12 or 14 per group, partially weighted by year)
› Each round, Students (ICly) take turns spinning a bottle to determine a partner (those who spin in a given round are randomized)
› Players will have 1 week to RP their character's action (kiss / hug / retreat). God modding is NOT allowed, and all actions should be made as attempts to allow the recipient the freedom to react (unless you have express permission from that individual to do otherwise)
› When the week is over, a new round will start with newly randomized list of spinners and spinnees. Students will have one week each round to submit their posts
› Failure to post by a round's deadline will result in the assumption that the character froze up and declined to continue. They will be removed from the game
› All IC rules still apply and IC consequences are possible depending on the situationSite rules and rating will also always apply. All actions/descriptions must comply with them. The game takes place Aug 28th
〘 THE SETTING 〙On the evening in question, the Quidditch stadium would once again undergo something of a transformation. In place of lush grass, it had been filled yet again with water, waves rolling lazily across its depressed surface to lap against the stands and novel shoreline. The breeze carried with it the smell of salt and sea. Sand surrounded its perimeter, one side built up like a tropical beach. White and soft and warm, the sand underfoot was speckled with the occasional pretty little shell to catch the fancy of collectors. A little make-shift ocean in the privacy of camp.
Along the length of the ample shore had been erected a number of tents equal to the number of groups to be participating in this little game. Tents might have been a bit of a misnomer. In truth, they appeared more like gazebos—circular sheltered pop-ups with black opaque mesh sides that kept the insects and prying eyes out while permitting the cool and refreshing summer breeze in.
Inside, there would be no real floor to speak of, bare sand for the beach-bound. But for those who found it to be far too rough and coarse and obnoxiously capable of getting everywhere, reed mats served as safe places to perch. A plethora of colourful pillows and cushions would also be found piled within. Just waiting for the grabbing they promoted the comfort and casual relaxation of the temporary would-be denizens.
Jars of various sizes and style circled the perimeter, providing soft mood lighting illumination for the upcoming activity without over-powering the romanticism of the starlit sky twinkling down from above an openly screened ceiling. Fruits and treats had been arranged in tantalizing displays on platters are regular intervals between the available seating, just begging to be nibbled. And at the shelter's centre, the highlight of it all: a green glass bottle poised on its side upon a raised circular dais.
One by one, the students would arrive, each claiming a spot of their own. And once the last had taken their seat, the game would begin.

It was that time of the year again. What time? Well that time where Theo could sign up to kiss or hug random strangers of course. To be frank, he had not expected it to become an annual thing, but why not?
Even better- he was again grouped up with a certain Durmstrang girl. He wasn't sure if it was only him- he would never admit it of course- who felt like both of them were waiting for an excuse. He certainly was. Theo was not a coward, quite the opposite, he had a habit of getting himself in troublesome situations a lot, but as soon as it came to this particular girl... he was lost.
Theo arrived early and with his usual good mood. He'd pick a random corner, grab an orange cushion and sit down in the sand, not without grabbing a cauldron cake from one of the platters. While the young Thunderbird was early, he wasn't that early and soon the tent was full of students from all schools. Theo leaned back, watching the group and the spinners in particular, held his breath when Greta spun the bottle- he couldn't deny the disappointment he felt when it ended up pointing at a girl, a little younger by the looks of it.
Finally he got to spin the bottle himself. It ended up pointing at a kid, he couldn't even remember if he had ever seen him before. But what did it matter! Theo got up and walked over to the younger boy, his usual grin on his face. "Hiya! I'm Theo, nice to meet you. Right... Let's not make this awkward, shall we?" If Edward allowed it, Theo would give him a short, friendly hug.

But then again- what is life without a little... drama- a little suprise around every turn? He would be there at the unlimited transitions of the London Quidditch Stadium, once again. But here for a game of Spin The Bottle.
He came across a boy- who seemed to not be from Koldovstoretz, the school of awesomeness. He looked Theo in the face as he came to Edward. Hearing him out, Edward groaned. It had to be a guy right? "Edward." Eddy said in a russian accent.
"Hi. Hope you don't exactly forgive me. I have reasons to believe you are from Durmstrang. Your perfect self, and the comfort to tell me 'Hi!' Черт, не могу поверить, что я это делаю. А стоит ли?shit, I can't believe I'm doing this. Well, should I? Ugh- okay." Edward leaned in as if to give Theo a hug. But to his suprise, Edward raised his hand, mid leaning, and slapped Theo across the face.
"No one hugs me. No one kisses me. It's life or death, choose your fate." A simple smirk and Edward leaned back. He was delighted in what he just did, and he didn't have to show any form of affection even if it was just a simple hug.Action: Slapping Theo

The evening has come. The weather today was sunny, so the bright stars could be clearly seen in the right sky. Rita arrived at the London Quidditch Stadium with some night snacks and grabbed a comfy purple pillow placed on the table and sat on the pillow to admire the night stars. Rita did not know who Greta is, but somehow Greta spun a bottle, and it landed on her. Rita decided to give Greta a little hug, but she was too shy to ask someone who Greta is. She decided to take out a piece of paper and her quill from her bag and wrote a small note to Greta:
Interacting with: @Greta Fransson (@Evelynn Decipio's iNPC)
After Rita finishes the note, she wrote "Greta" on the back of the paper and put it on the table. Then she took a purple quiltto match the color of the pillow, found a plate close to the table to lay down, and continued to admire the beautiful night sky while waiting for Greta to come and see the note she left on the table. She spun the bottle and it pointed to her, so she must go and find her later this evening.Dear Greta,
Good evening! I don`t know who you are, but somehow I am assigned to give an action to you through you spinning a bottle. I am writing to ask you a polite question: May I give you a little hug? I hope you do not mind that. If you come later this evening, you can find me taking a rest on the purple quilt and pillow near the table. I promise I won`t return to my tent before you come to find me.
Yours,
Rita

Going to a game of spin the bottle with your girlfriend. Great idea. It would totally be fun. Whose idea was this anyways? Not that it would matter later when one or both of them was mad. They would make their way to the appointed place, he wondered who erected this tent because a semi-private kissing room was unlikely on the adult's agendas.
He would take a seat next to Winnie, a front row seat to whatever damage they both do to their relationship. They would take turns spinning the bottle and, on his turn, he would spin the bottle, half-hoping for the out of it landing on Winnie but it did not. It landed on someone he did not know, not a friend or a foe this time. Well, that would make it easy.
He was not deterred by the gender; a kiss was a kiss as far as he was concerned. "It's only gay if you like it," Mathias announced. He had no intention of copping out with a hug, if anything he was an intentional agitator of situations, and this would not be the exception but rather the rule. "Don't kiss too many guys while I am away," he commented to Winnie. Don't kiss any would be even better, why was this a good idea again!
He rose from the mat and strode towards the teen to which the bottle was pointed. He was not going to introduce himself; this was likely the one and only time they would ever meet. Rather, he would attempt to grab the teen by the collar to pull him in for what one would expect to be some sort of needlessly intimate kiss with the Brazilian. Mathias was not known for his brawn, but the grip was firm and had purpose. However, if lips met it was not Pride's doing as he stopped but a hair too short and rather gave the teen a peck on the cheek. He would whisper an addendum in his ear before he pulled away, "or if in this case you're disappointed."
Action: well, there was a kiss attempt?

Hindsight was 20/20, but when given the choice of not being paired with Matt and having to worry about him kissing other girls behind the tent walls... She wanted to punch through every obstacle that stood between them. It couldn't have been as awkward as last year's spin the bottle, considering she had to watch someone she considered to be her older brother make out with people. Barf.
She had worn a simple, puff-sleeve, mauve pink sun dress with a daisy pattern adorning the material. The thin fabric offered her some relief from late summer's heat. A golden heart shaped locket hung on a thin chain around her neck.
She claimed the spot next to Mathias, her buttock cushioned by one of the large pillows the organizers had provided. She would attempt to lay her claim on him with a kiss; a marking of her 'territory'.
Her prayers went unanswered when the bottle didn't land on her. At least it was another boy. Wait, wasn't Matt bisexual?
"Oh, so you're saying I can kiss as many girls as I want?" Winnie teased before her blue eyes flickered over to the boy the bottle had landed on. Her eyes narrowed into a glare. Her shoulders only relaxed when she realized Matt was only going for a kiss on the cheek.
Then one boy slapped another. "Merlin..." She mumbled. She'd have to get a punch ready if the bottle happened to land on that one. She was so caught up that she almost didn't see the bottle land on her.
Her confidence faded pretty quickly when she was faced with a possible kiss from a pretty foreign girl. "H-Hi... I'm Winnie... Um... I guess a kiss on the cheek is fine?" She would be receptive to a hug too.

───•─•────────────────────────────────────•─•───
───•─•────────────────────────────────────•─•───Excitement. That had been Greta's reigning emotion as the days until the much anticipated Twirl the Flagon game ticked by. The summer camp had not turned out quite like she had expected. For over a year, Niche had been indifferent. He had been keeping her at arm's lengths. The warmth she'd briefly glimpsed that one fall seemed to have fall away with the leaves at the behest of the chill winter's breeze. Only when spring had come, winter had remained. At first, she thought she'd done something wrong. That she had displeased him somehow and lost his favour. It had eaten her up for weeks, prompting the use of half a journal for her musings and anguished misery.
But then she'd realized she wasn't the only one. He had been keeping everyone at arm's length, not just her. He hadn't been mad at her. Which meant there was still a chance. This fantasy had let her drift happily during those periods of time between visits to Hogwarts, paths to classes cut in a way that would allow her to catch a glimpse of him in the corridors. It was always fleeting though. Every time she tried to catch his eye, he seemed not to notice her. Every time she tried to remember the feel of his hands securing the necklace about her neck so gently, it seemed to slip further and further from recollection.
By the time she had started up with summer camp, she had once again hung up her necklace in the back of her jewelry box, convinced that whatever affection he'd held for her had been a fleeting and temporary one. It still hurt to think about. Like a wound that just wouldn't quite closed, scratched back open at the slightest provocation. Her frequent voyages to Hogwarts had helped, though. She had reconnected with Theo in a way that was both exciting and comforting. These visits had even started carrying with them an eager anticipation to see him again, if only because she kind of liked the tingly feeling she got when she was around him.
Then Niche had happened all over again. Swooping in like a hawk, he had done something entirely unexpected. The day of his race, his broom had sported not one, but two blue ribbons. Her blue ribbons. She had only given him one. And Theo had been missing one. Which meant Niche had acquired it someone, and she suspected it hadn't been handed over out of kindness. The entire plot was like a compelling fairy tale. The beat-down knight with the weight of the world on his shoulders, climbing out from his gloom to fight for his princess. It left a dreamy smile on her lips and a flutter in her heart every time she thought about it.
And as the camp came to a close, she held on to one last hope that Niche would be in attendance and that she had been lucky enough to be grouped with him. She had practically run to the assigned gazebo tent, eyes widening as she gingerly ducked under the entrance. It was so... romantic. Already a flush worked its way up her neck to colour her ears. The lighting was low and warm and moody, flickering flames casting a flattering glow across everyone present. The pillows looked divinely comfortable, and the sand, so inviting. Already she was popping off her sandals to let her toes dig into the soft bed of the tent as she sifted her way towards an empty spot and flopped down onto a stack of pillows with a close-lipped giggle.
The tent would fill and eventually the game would start. And Greta's eagerness would gradually start to wane. No Niche. In fact... there were a lot of unfamiliar faces. Anxious flutters started to batter against her belly as her eyes drifted from face to face to face, recognizing no one. No... not quite no one. Somehow, just like the year before, she had wound up in a group with Theo. She would toss him a sheepish smile punctuated by a fresh bloom of blush as she recalled that it had been his name, not Niche's, that had found it's way on her sign-up sheet.
As it happened, he would be among the first to spin. Greta watched with uneasy trepidation as the bottle spun round and round, until it eventually came to a stop on a younger boy. Pulling herself up to a sit, dress draped over her knees, Greta hugged her arms about them to watch. He was just so easy going about it, she noted, chewing on the inside of her cheek. Flinching a second later when the boy ducked out of what looked like was going to be a reciprocal hug to slap Theo.
"What do you think you're doing!" Greta shouted indignantly, slipping up with her native tongue with her surprise. "That is not game!" She transitioned back to English. "Why not go if not to play!"
Not usually one to speak up when unneeded, Greta surprised even herself with her sudden flare of anger, but felt no remorse for the matter. Theo hadn't deserved that behaviour. He'd only been being kind. With luck, though, the situation would not escalate, and Greta would be able to continue after a few others had gone to complete her own spin of the bottle. With a clearing of her throat, she would push herself to a rise and shuffle gingerly to the bottle when her turn came, its nose landing on an unfamiliar girl of what appeared to be oriental descent.
And then Greta would watch, perplexed, as the girl wrote a note and left it on the table between the two. "Ehm..." Uncertainly, Greta reached forward to pull the note at an angle to catch the light. Her lips moved as she sounded out the words, colour deepening on her features. The last thing she had expected was a pop-quiz in English reading comprehension and without the regular correspondence with Theo, she found herself sorely lacking. But there were two things she definitely did recognize. "Little hug," she repeated, glancing up to the girl as though requesting confirmation. "I can make little hug."
Into a pocket the letter would go as Greta closed the distance between the two, feet trailing sandy chasms in her wake. Once she reached the girl, she would point to herself, stating, "I am Greta. It is nice to meet you." And then bend over to give her a little hug, one that lasted only a brief moment before releasing and hopping back to her seat.

Theo never doubted that this would be a fun game. That everyone knew what they had signed up for and were therefore relaxed. Worst case, some kids would tell another no and that was it. Never ever would he have expected that he would see a kid get violent and entirely unprovoked at that. When the boy- Edward- first said he didn't hope that Theo forgave him, it made the Thunderbird confused, followed by the assumption that he was a Durmstrang, but when the boy leaned in, Theo had truly been convinced that it was for a hug.
The flat hand hit his cheek so suddenly that Theo flinched and backed off immediately. For a few seconds all he could do was stare at the child. Theo was a friendly person, it was simply in his nature to try and make people feel comfortable all the time, so the first thoughts crossing his mind were: Did he miss something? Any signs that the boy didn't want him near him?
But even if- why didn't he just say no? He could have had communicated it so easily and Theo would have respected it.
Just as he opened his mouth, another person spoke up. He turned his head to see Greta snap at Edward, first in an unfamiliar language, then slipping back into English- more or less. Theo felt his heart beating a bit faster and a warm feeling spread in his stomach at Greta's outrage- for him.
No, he didn't want her in trouble or angry at all, but it made him oddly excited to see her stand up for him.
Maybe that was it what enabled him to speak again. His cheek was burning from the slap, the boy was rather strong for his age (Edward's Strength: 11) and he was sure that it was already reddening.
"What the hell, man?", he managed to get out, "What the hell was that for?" He didn't feel humiliated, no. If anything, he felt secondhand embarrassment for the child in front of him. Violence wasn't cool or quirky and everyone around had seen it. This would not have repercussions for Theo, but this boy would be remembered by this group for sure.
"First off- Jeez, kid, are you unable to recognize the most obvious accents? I'm American, visiting Ilvermorny, thank you very much, but even if I was Durmstrang-", Theo started to talk himself into rage- something one would rarely see on him, "What makes you think you can raise your hand against someone like that unprovoked? You know, if you didn't want to be hugged, you could have just said no and I would have backed off, I'm all for consent."
He shook his head in total disbelief. "Take your dramatic speeches elsewhere, I don't give a damn about death threats from a what- twelve year old? Hit me again and I'll hit you back." Theo said the last sentence in a perfectly calm tone, more like he was stating a fact than a threat.
He was a muggleborn from a family with financial issues, but if there was one thing he had gotten from that family, it was education and the confidence to stand up for himself. Not to take abuse from anyone.

“What the eyes don’t see, the heart doesn’t feel.” —Portuguese proverb
Being told that her name had, somehow, found it onto some kissing-game sign-up sheet was, to be sure, not the strangest thing that Manu Macedo had experienced during her time here in London. Certainly, however, it was the most disliked. Normally, Manu - who was not really one for kissing, or any of that touchy-feely romance stuff that her Castelobruxo classmates whispered about in the pyramid corridors - would have laughed the invite off and moved on, climbed into the Quidditch stands to watch one of her last few days at this strange, still-smelly British camp. But... well, it was one of her last few days here. She'd be leaving soon, heading back to Castelobruxo and the Amazon and fresh air and alpacas to tend and gardens to explore, and graças a Deus thank God for that, but she'd also be leaving the new environment, her quickly-bettering English, and the friends she'd made here. Her bunkmate Aly, for instance, a menina das flores the flower girl. And there were a few others. Maybe one of them had put her name on this kissing-game list for a little bit of laughter. Or maybe there was someone harboring some strange, secret crush on her that would have to be squashed before she returned to Castelobruxo. Manuela was many things, but a romantic was not one of them, and she certainly wasn't about to lead anybody on that way.
So, probably against her better judgment, she went - heading to the third tent on the magically conjured beach, something she was all too familiar with, having grown up in Rio. That was where her invite said to go, anyway, and Manu ducked inside to a large room, of sorts, with rough sand under her bare feet, mats and cushions, and plenty of snacks. Naturally, the girl went straight for the snacks, plopping down on a mat and grabbing a cushion to prop underneath her for comfort. The platter beside her was piled with fruits, and Manu loaded three small clusters of grapes into her palm, making a little game of it by seeing how high she could toss one into the air and catch with her mouth. No dropping allowed, of course, though she eventually stopped when one too-high flyer hit the tent ceiling and then thudded to the sandy ground. Manu kicked sand over it. Maybe no one would notice.
As her gaze flitted round the circle of people she'd be playing with - or, rather, against - two very familiar faces caught her eye, and Manu felt her heart drop into her stomach, which roiled in disgust at the sight before her. Did these Londoners not know how to tell all of the Brazil kids apart? Because here she was, once again in a tent with the damn Correa brothers.
Filho de puta. Son of a bitch.
Trying her best to ignore Raul and Gregorio, because she was going to at least try to enjoy this even if she could feel their smug, entitled eyes upon her, Manu reached forward when it was her turn, gripped the lovely green glass bottle like she had watched other people do, and gave it a hefty spin. Around and around and around it went, until it landed on a redheaded girl with - nossa (similar to wow), that was some serious hair. The scarlet of her insanely long tresses clashed brightly against the pastel pink of her dress, and Manu cocked her head to the side at the sight; this girl reminded her of Aly, somehow, despite the lack of flowers. Maybe they knew each other. But before Manu could ask, the girl introduced herself as Winnie - easy enough, she could work with that - and offered her cheek to be kissed, rather than her lips.
Fine by Manu. Not that she wasn't open to kissing girls - people were people, after all, unless you were the Correas, in which case you had no soul, so therefore you were not a person. But Manu was not about to kiss someone in front of either Correa brother, anyway. They would make fun of her about it for weeks. If that whole pureblood-is-best schtick ran in their blood, who knew if homophobia would too? So Manu nodded through the girl's introduction, giving her a friendly smile - or, at least, as friendly as she could be with her most despised enemies sitting just a few feet away. "Manu," she said shortly in response, in her heavily accented English (though at least she'd been improving with verbs during her time here). "The cheek sounds good. Now. Be still."
Then she leaned forward and pecked the Winnie girl on the cheek. Lightly, but it was a kiss.
There. I won. Can I leave now?

Eliza absolutely adored the fake little ocean whose waves were enchanting to look at and whose smell reminded her of the precious moments she had spent at the beach with her family a long time ago. Slowly, the girl made her way over to the group both scared and excited as she had no idea what would happen during the game. Maybe she would find her Prince Charming and they would share a magical kiss under the twinkling stars before he declared his love to her. Or, she would be forced to suffer and be paired with a horrible student.
Shaking off all the bad scenarios, she picked up a couple of cushions and made her way over to one of the reed mats as she didn't want to ruin her clothes by sitting on the ground. A bit frightened of what would happen, she sat down and quietly watched the first people spin the bottle. An older-looking boy friendly offered a hug to the person the bottle had landed on, only to be slapped across the face. A little gasp escaped Eliza's mouth, which was quickly covered by her hand, before she slowly moved back with a horrified look.
She didn't fancy being slapped in the face, so she would stay as far away from him as possible and hoped the bottle would be nice to her and never stop on him when she spun it. "Are you okay?" she asked worriedly to the older boy after a slightly familiar girl had shouted something in a foreign language followed by English. The Russian girl absolutely hated violence and hated seeing others get hurt, so it was normal for her to check upon those who are hurt.
It was safe to say that Eliza, scared by the aggression and the loud yelling, wasn't looking forward to her turn to spin the bottle, so once her turn came she nervously reached for the bottle. Heart loudly pounding in her chest she carefully watched it spin, slowing down by the friction of the air until it didn't move anymore. Her green eyes followed the way the bottle was pointing, hoping with all her heart it wasn't the blond-haired boy.

A wave of relief hit the girl when she saw it was a different boy, seemingly around the same age as her, with gold hair. He didn't look like Prince Charming to her but he was defiantly a lot better than the other boy. She had seen other students give hugs, a kiss on the cheeks and slap each other, more than enough choice. Giving the boy a nervous little smile, she made her way over to him, doubting whether to give him a hug or a kiss on the cheek like others had done. "Hug?" she asked awkwardly, hoping not to be rejected.
