Ariana Westonfield-Rivera ◇ Castelobruxo

𝑨 𝑷 𝑷 𝑬 𝑨 𝑹 𝑨 𝑵 𝑪 𝑬 ── Standing at around 4.95, Ariana is neither much taller nor shorter than average. She has what you could call caramel or simply tanned, smooth skin with a few barely noticeable freckles. Ari's hair is rather curly, ±type 2C, and is brown with natural blonde highlights. She has scars from transforming into werewolf form and from hunting alone in the woods, but they do not render her more of a monster. On the other hand, they are quite pretty, each linking to a specific moment, although Ari doesn't fully believe that. Having a deadly calm voice is part of her nature, but she can shout if she needs to, cut you with words. And yes, she does always have something smart to say, unless she's not interested meaning she'll just ignore you completely. Ariana has a lean-athletic build, due to her many hours spent hunting and running in the woods with her bow and arrow. She even sings, but usually keeps that talent hidden unless alone in the woods. And last but not least, Ari's scent is that of the woods, trees, fresh air, old books and blueberry muffins.

𝑺 𝑻 𝒀 𝑳 𝑬 ── Although Ariana wears her hunting clothes when in the woods, that isn't what she wears all the time during the day. On the other hand, she actually wears some cool stuff, but mostly vintage because although her family does not lack the money, she sees that as less of a waste and more natural. Skirts are also hardly her thing, she's more of a shorts or jeans person all in all. For shirts, you'll always see her in her black leather jacket outside, but otherwise her outfit can vary.

𝐁 𝐀 𝐂 𝐊 𝐒 𝐓 𝐎 𝐑 𝐘 ── It all started on March 5th 2013, when little Ariana was born. Innocent, calm, peaceful... nobody would've Ariana didn't have the best childhood, very much the opposite actually. Her father left her and her mother at the age of seven, not long after her FIOM. Why? Maybe it could've been her FIOM signaling her being a witch too. But it wasn't. It was one day after the the night in which she had been bitten by a werewolf. He saw her, it, as nothing more than a monster.

A monster.

That's what they all assumed at least, as the rumors flew it could've been a different truth altogether. She should've expected it though. Ever since he'd found out his mother was a witch the strand binding him to that side of the family seemed thinner, more prone to break. To him, that was a dark secret unveiled. But he had one of his own too, one much darker than the one he nominated as dark in the first place. Who was he really? That question only arose when he left, because nobody heard a word from him since. After all, being the American that he was, how could they have known where he went? After that moment though, Ari's mother was never the same again, so distant, and Ari had to practically raise herself in a sense (with her very close aunt, uncle and cousin (who was more like a half-sibling to her)). Unsure of whether to see herself as a monster or not after everything that had happened in her past, she was scared and alone, confining herself to the outdoors, claustrophobia kicking in. Because in her sheltered home, so strongly scented of the past, that was where the tears kicked in. Although the houses in the city she lived in were exactly as colorful as they had always been, Ariana felt like her life was losing color and the world around her was somehow becoming brighter as she fell down, down, down.

But it wasn't the end.

Ariana had always been resilient. She picked herself up and kept going, determination written all over her face. She had changed, but she was still there, stronger than ever in her own way. She found the strength to move on. And finally her mother started smiling again, not distant smiles but real ones. She cared, and Ariana forgave her.

𝐅 𝐈 𝐎 𝐌 ── Always a hunter, Ariana was. It wasn't always completely, well, legal, but she had always been careful to never hunt the protected or highly dangerous creatures. And now that her mother wasn't really taking care of her as much anymore, as she had become very distant, that was her only way of really feeling free. The pressure lifting off her shoulders. She delved a bit too deep into the woods though, and found herself running from a deadly creature, far too slow even with the adrenaline pumping through her. But she kept running, and... the creature seemed to have slowed down? Or no, something else had happened. She had gone so fast that the world simply seemed to move slower because of her speed. And that was when she laughed, smiled for real for the first time in too long.
