Although Kazimir had been up late the night before celebrating the welcome festivities and annual BBQ of summer camp, the boy had resisted the urge to sleep in. Not only would the fairgrounds be officially opening that day, which provided endless opportunities to explore what the camp committee had in store for them, but it was also a chance for some solitude. Kazi was not a shy boy or one that did not enjoy group activities, yet he did enjoy the chance for a bit of private time. Considering her was here with a multitude of other students he would have to take every chance her could for some me time.

Kazi slipped out of his tent with glass jar in hand. One of his favorite pastimes was collecting butterflies for some up close inspection. The boy loved all of the vibrant colors and the different pattens that these little creatures provided. They simply were just beautiful. Over the years he had seen all different kinds of butterflies, but considering this was his first trip to the U.K. he just had to get out there and see what he might discover. Given the time of year the grounds of the camps were sure to be full of them!

The part-giant's massive legs carried him away from the grouping of tents and around to a nearby field chock full of wildflowers. Kazi knew he had found the place. He dropped to his knees and sat back on his haunches. Just like his mother had showed him this was the best way to let them come to you. Some people would run around and use a net to capture the little beauties, but Kazi preferred to stay still and let them come to him! Soon enough they would begin to float all around him. Various shades or oranges and yellows bounced around the air and even a few spots of blue and red could be spotted on the wings of his favorite creatures. A deep, rumbling chuckle would escape his lips as one of them even landed on his outstretched hand.

BOINK!

"Ow!" Kazimir's deep voice belted out as something hit him right in the back of the head. What the heck could that be?! His eyes shifted from one side to another, up and down, but before he could turn another object almost hit his head again. What the hell was that? He was getting frustrated that he couldn't find what was hurting him, but soon voices would solve the mystery.

"Hey freak!...Duck ya giant wierdo!" A couple of boys nearby were throwing pebbles and taunts at Kazimir. He turned and shifted just in time for another to bounce harmlessly off his chest, but a different kind of pain tore through his belly. Why would they call him that? They didn't even know him! "STOP!" Kazimir's voice boomed as his eyes narrowed and his cheeks began to flush.
Feel free to control the NPCs as well!

─────Most would say "another day another dollar", but for Ariana the saying was more like "another day another archery practice". She never missed a morning to sleep in, that was simply wasteful to her. After all, being lazy did not result in anything. Even at Summer Camp, that did not change. After scouting out the most isolated and suitable place in her surroundings, Ariana finally found a suitable plain. Butterflies danced gracefully through the air, almost mirroring the rhythm of her morning drill. Position, nock, draw, anchor, aim, release. Position, nock, draw, anchor, aim, release. The first shots were not completely centered, they were to warm up, but after about half a dozen almost all found their mark.

If there was one thing Ariana disliked, it was disturbances while trying to focus on a good session of archery- or really anything. Unnatural noise annoyed her, meaning most sounds except the chirping of the birds and the hum of the trees swaying in the wind- aka human sounds. And while she had just reached the aiming stage for her 13th shot, she heard a noisy commotion not far from her. Ariana did not believe in superstitions, but a thought did slip through her mind at that very moment- was the number 13 unlucky after all?

Her eyes following the direction that the sound was coming from, she didn't see a pretty sight. Someone was being bullied and pelted by little rocks, because of what? Her bow still armed, Ariana silently moved closer to the scene, just close enough to be able to make out what the rock-thrower-bullies were saying. They were bullying him because of his race. With new adrenaline pounding through her veins, Ariana aimed. She knew what being bullied was like. She knew how much not being understood could hurt. She knew what being left behind felt like. Ariana Westonfield-Rivera knew. And her determined spirit would not let anything get in her way. Focusing on her target, timing her shot, and she released the arrow.

Bullseye.

The arrow flew straight and true, not cutting through the air but moving with the current, like a professional would know how to do. And although Ariana wasn't yet a professional, she had spirit. Only moments later, the arrow would knock the next little rock off it's course, scaring the bullies away. With a smirk laced with well-earned pride, Ariana went to retrieve her arrow.

Kazimir's parents had warned him about the threat of bullying. His unique mix of DNA made him special indeed, but it also made him quite different from most of his peers. While a part-goblin or a part-veela may hide their features and blend in with their friends, there would be no hiding Kazi's differences. While already tall for an eleven year old, he would soon tower in height and the other giants features about his face and body would only grow larger. With the way he talked and the common misunderstanding about giants among wizarding kind, many would deem him stupid or at the very least a simpleton.

Now, how to deal with this was approached quite differently by his parents. While they did their best to co-parent and come to mutual decisions, every so often they would preach drastically different solutions. Kazi's father was a patient man. He preferred to think over a problem, talk it out and act later. His mother had a very different mindset. Perhaps it was the culture of the giants that played into her approach to such things as she would demand action and urge Kazi to stand up for himself if anyone were to treat him poorly. It made sense really. Her people defending from a long line of warriors and had survived through the centuries even as giant-kind dwindled in numbers. How would the boy deal with his current predicament? Which side of his DNA would prevail?

Kazimir had bellowed a shout of anger as he demanded the other boys stop immediately, yet another pebble would go whizzing by him and another bouncing off of his arm. The temper his people were often known for was beginning to flare. His fist balled as he raised his arms up overhead and with a mighty crash they would slam into the ground before him. "I SAID STOP!" Kazi's voice sounded like it was from another world, almost guttural as rage coursed through his veins. Two could play at this game. He grabbed one of the little rocks, dwarfed in his giant hands, but his strength would turn it into quite the projectile. However, the other boy was quicker. Another rock was heading straight for Kazi's face!

A whoosh through the air and the rock was knocked aside. Kazimir had to to a double take as he now spied an arrow stuck into the ground. How was this possible? The archer that shot it must have been quite intimidating as the bullies turned and ran away. Kazi took a moment to breathe, his blood cooling from a boil. His gray-green eyes met this newfound hero as she approached with a sky smirk across her face. "Thank you!" Kazimir gave her an appreciative, if not slightly embraced smile. Hopefully his intense reaction had not scared her, but considering how she handled herself he figured it'd take a lot more than that to frighten her. "That was an incredible shot! Like Robin Hood!" The boy let out a deep, rumbling chuckle. "My name a Kazimir. You're my hero today!" He extended his hand to shake hers if she accepted.
