─────One day after the full moon, more than one scar etched onto Ariana's body for good. Being a werewolf was exhausting, quite literally on the night of the transformation. The sickliness of it, the pain that went shunned by her fellow students. So far she was the only one, unless others had been hiding it. Only the teachers knew. And at least they knew how to keep things quiet. They weren't the problem.

On the evening of June 11th Ariana had been escorted to the Caverna Uivante. That had been that month's night of the fresh blood, the restless feeling that was trapped inside her. The potion's effects, she assumed. The next day was always a nightmare, waking up as if she hadn't slept at all, feeling sick and nauseous and in pain from the wounds. That was how it went every time.

Tracing her fingers over the sticky blood on the deep scratches that would undoubtedly leave a mark, Ariana made her way to the river. Swimming felt good, refreshing. It washed away the dried streaks of crimson on her skin. For her, that moment meant a new month. The 'normal' calendar had no meaning, only to serve as a way to keep order in man's bubble on the earths surface. But the day after the full moon showed itself in the night sky was different that that; it meant something.

As Ariana waded into the water, she looked down at her own reflection, her eyes almost widening at the sight. Her hair was disheveled. Her clothes torn. Her face dirty with dried blood coating parts of it, the rest being almost as pale as the moon itself. She looked ghostly. Stranded even. Looking up into the clear sky, Ariana noticed the slightly visible outline of the moon. It felt like a stupid idea, but sometimes it was as if that simple mass of rock was watching her. Listening to her. And at that moment, all she wanted to do was scream.

There was nobody around. The teacher escorting her back had left quickly after, probably seeing her as what most would think she was. A monster. So why not simply let her emotions go? To be heard, even if it were only by herself? As the seconds ticked by and more thoughts of desperation and hatred to her monstrous form and those who hated her for it kicked in, the urge only grew stronger. Without anymore hesitation, Ariana let a strangled scream escape her lips- a horrible piercing cry of pleading for her fate to be cut short, but more than anything for someone to finally understand her. But ironically all the birds within 20 feet flew away.

And then the first tear fell. Helplessness, maybe, or simply exhaustion? After all, the girl had worn herself out. Sleep was pointless though, and even after the ending of her nightmares 24/7 it was inevitable that after four years of hell she couldn't immediately switch to the heaven of a perfect sleep schedule. Change is not always easy. And so Ariana found herself crying, the salt water mingling with the fresh, until even that became too much. After washing her face one last time, she stood. Of course she felt broken, miserable. But at least the scream had let her breathe. It was part of her monthly routine: time to start living again.

all Sabrina's actions/thoughts are in character
Battered and bruised were the moments Sabrina had spent after every event at Hogwarts. Somehow, danger always seemed to lurk in the corners of that castle. Or rather in the squares of their little Scottish village. All the explosions, the fire, the casualties... Sabrina remembered it like it was yesterday. Being in the carriage, and then suddenly blinded by smoke and ears deafened by screams.

She found her mind wandering back into memories of the moment when she least expected it, reminding her it could happen again. Any point, any time. She knew the feeling would subside once she made it home. Back to Bolivia, sheltered by her small town.

Sabrina had spent the morning of that early June day beginning to sort out the mess that was her dorm. Finding random shreds of parchment with halfhearted notes in various corners, it suddenly hit her at once.

She was almost finished with her second year.

Just a few more weeks, and she'd be back home. Suddenly, the emotion of realizing how fast it was all going by seemed to slap her across the face. She dropped any trash she'd been planning to discard, hurrying out of her room and onto the grounds of her school.

June's heat was never fair near the equator. The blood in her veins seemed to boil under the sun. The sudden ear piercing scream that ran through the air sent a refreshing chill over her skin.

Spinning around, trying to determine the direction of the scream, the feeling that another dangerous force like the one in Hogsmeade returned. "¿Hola? ¿Hay alguien ahí?"hello? is someone there? she called.

She trekked out further, eyes spotting a girl standing in water. And she didn't look okay.

Uncertain if she spoke Spanish or Portuguese, she just tried a simple hello. "Hola,"hello she began. "Umm, ¿hablas español o portugués?"do you speak Spanish or Portuguese?

Looking at this stranger, this girl who looked like she'd been suffering from her disheveled appearance, Sabrina felt worried. Her big-sister-mode seemed to kick in, eyebrows twisting in a way to express concern.
