Neutral Good- A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias for or against order. However, neutral good can be a dangerous alignment when it advances mediocrity by limiting the actions of the truly capable.

Personality: Earl is a strange character in the way he thinks and acts. He is the happiest person you've ever met, finding joy in the smallest of things such as a kitten's purr or a butterfly's wings. He is an incredible sport, and will be by your side no matter what, forever happy and thankful for everything around him. There is not one bad bone in his body, and has a heart as warm as a loaf of bread.

Looks: When I first made this character, I designed this moodboard for him. He was originally supposed to be a depresso espresso sorta guy, but over the years he's evolved into a pink fluff, This is why he now has bright pink hair; everything else about him is gray. His eyes, his clothes, his skin. Earl looks like he walked out of a black and white photo. This clashes in the most hilarious way with his personality When Earl smiles, it seems like the entire room around him lights up. His joy is contagious, and when he laughs you want to laugh too.

Backstory: I originally had him grow up with a strict, uptight father and no mother figure. The father was going to be wildly homophobic and kick him out once Earl came out, making snide comments about his rather...hmm feminine wardrobe. BUT. I don't have the energy to write that stuff anymore, so now Earl grew up with an okayish father. Still kinda strict, his whole goal in life being to make Earl into a gentleman. 'The customer is always right' was one of the fathers favorite phrases, and he wouldn't hesitate to chew Earl out if he ever disrespected his elders or women in general. Our boyo's father was the kinda guy to tell Earl to 'man up' if he ever came home with a black eye, and try to teach him how to fight. Earl on the other hand was locked up in his room singing along to Chicago and Hamilton.

Now about his mother. She was an absentee of sorts, only dropping in for long enough to upset everyone and rial up his father. Despite his parents being full blooded wizards, Earl barely saw any of the magical world, having been raised in a small town far away from wizarding of any sort. His father was fascinated by muggle techonlgy, and dedicated his life to making beautifully crafted pocket watches, grandfather clocks, and anything else which told time. That is why Earl grew up in the middle of nowhere surrounded by muggles. Any more magical energy and the muggle mechanisms wouldn't work.

First Instance of Magic:

Earl's father decided it would be a good idea to come up behind him and tap him on the shoulder. Which seems fairly innocent, but here's something to be considered. Earl gets startled VERY easily. In this particular instance, he was sprawled on the couch reading some Cassandra Clare. He'd replaced the cover of the book with that of 'The Storm Thief', as his father didn't like him reading 'that bible nonsense'. So, like any person getting caught doing something he wasn't supposed to be doing, he got scared. Insert a shriek here, him nearly jumping out of his skin, and all the clocks around him suddenly stopped functioning. And I mean ALL of them. They started up again after a day, thankfully.
