Physical Appearance

I’m Ravelle Valloren, a pure-blooded witch from Edinburgh, with naturally wavy blonde hair that doesn’t always stay exactly how I want it to. I have grey-green eyes that tend to look more serious than I mean for them to. I’m about 4’8” and fairly pale — Scotland doesn’t exactly help with that — and I have freckles across my nose. I like looking put together, but I don’t obsess over it.

Mental Characteristics

I usually think before I speak. Some people assume that means I’m distant, but it really just means I want my words to mean something. I’m loyal, sometimes stubborn, and more competitive than I let on. I care about my family’s traditions, but I won’t follow something blindly just because it’s “how it’s always been.” I prefer knowing what I’m walking into and having some sort of plan instead of acting without thinking.

Biography

I grew up in Edinburgh in a traditional pure-blood family. My father works in Magical Law Enforcement, and my mother studies old wizarding history in Scotland. Our house was always full of books and conversations about older magical families and how reputations were built over time.

I liked reading and exploring different parts of the house when I was younger. I also listened more than I spoke, especially when adults were talking. I’ve always preferred understanding what’s happening around me before deciding what I think about it.

My parents expect a lot, but not in an unreasonable way. In our house, control and discipline matter. So does reputation. I was raised to take magic seriously and to represent the Valloren name properly.

That doesn’t mean I agree with everything just because it’s tradition. If I’m going to follow something, I want to understand why it exists in the first place.

First Instance of Magic

The first time I showed magic, I was seven years old.

A relative told me I was “too quiet” to be powerful. It embarrassed me more than I expected. I didn’t argue or say anything back.

A second later, all the candles on the table flared up at once. The flames burned higher and brighter than they should have.

The room went completely silent.

I hadn’t meant to do it. I didn’t even know I could. But I didn’t feel guilty about it either.
