Nova walked out towards the Grounds, bored out of her mind. It was early November, and the weather was like it hadn't fully committed to being cold. The sun was still out, warm despite the cold breeze. There were much more people out and about than usual, probably trying to enjoy the mix of weather while they still could. She had snagged a slice of cake from lunch, munching on it as she stopped underneath a large tree.
She finished her last bite of cake, wiping her fingers on a napkin she had found on her way out of the castle. As her eyes swept across the sparse crowd, she landed on a small group of people. One of them looked like she had swallowed a lemon, staring at another who was scrambling with some sort of explanation. Nova tilted her head, slightly amused at how fast she seemed to be talking. While she wasn't one to start drama, she didn't mind hearing about it. Nevertheless, they were too far for her to make out the conversation, let alone hear them.
Off to the side, there was another pair, maybe an older couple, chewing each other out. Her eyes widened at the sight, ears straining to listen. She only heard a few small snippets, a name, before the girl stormed off, immediately followed by the guy who looked panicked. Nova winced, both sympathetic and trying not to laugh. What could they possibly have been fighting about, she wondered. She leaned against the trunk of the tree, before reaching up towards a low branch. She occasionally climbed trees when she was younger, and wondered if she still could.
She pulled herself onto it with a grunt, legs hanging before she hooked her foot into a small ledge. She hoisted herself onto the branch, steadying herself before carefully sitting down. The branch seemed to support her weight, some leaves just barely brushing the top of her head. She could see the Grounds more clearly now, and more opportunities to possibly listen in on some drama.

Damien felt the cool winter breeze on this lovely November morning, he didn’t have many plans for today so he decided he wanted to get some reading done. He had found a romantic book in the library that reminded him of Romeo and Juliet so he thought why wouldn’t he give it a try. As he looked outside at the beautiful sight of the sun and decided it would be a good idea to read somewhere with some shade, he noticed a tree that seemed to be perfect for sitting underneath to read his book so that what he intended to do. He slowly made his way there before dusting off a place on the grass for him to sit on before he sat down and opened his book. He never truly read any romance books before and honestly this one seemed darker than he would have expected but he needed to expand his reading knowledge anyway so this was a way for him to start. A few hours had past and Damien had gotten completely invested in this whole love story, there was even a love triangle between the main character and a girl and a boy he was interested in, Damien honestly sympathizes with the main character as it reminded him a lot of himself and a few crushes he had but none the less the story was intriguing him a lot so he honestly was enjoying it quite a bit. He placed a book mark in the book as he just looked up at the sky admiring the beautiful scenery not realizing someone was sitting in the tree above him currently. |

NNova sat on the branch, looking around with a mildly curious expression. Usually, when she actually had things to do, there would be drama everywhere, no matter where she went. And now that she was actually interested, it had stopped. “What could they possibly be arguing about?” she murmured, more to herself than anyone else. She watched the small clusters of people, noticing their animated gestures and the occasional pointed finger. “A stolen scarf? Who sat in whose seat? Or a love triangle? That would be messy.”
Her gaze flicked from one group to another, her curiosity growing. “I mean, it’s early November. Are people really this dramatic about everything?” She chuckled softly, shaking her head at the thought. Then, her eyes landed on someone new down below, sitting cross-legged in the grass, completely absorbed in a book. Her eyebrows raised, and she leaned slightly forward, trying to read from her spot in the tree. She could barely make out a few of the words, so she settled back and looked at the boy instead.
She vaguely recognized him from somewhere, and she rummaged around in her head until she remembered who he was. It was the boy from the meteor shower who had baked a cake for everyone, Damien or something. Her eyes widened in recognition, and she called out, voice bright. "Hi, Damien, what are you reading?"

Damien suddenly heard a voice speak from above to him asking what he was reading but as he looked around the area as well as up he could not see anyone which lead him to two conclusions, one either he was going insane or two God or a god had just spoken to him and he was to be chosen for a quest of romance with two romantic interest after reading a few chapters of this book. He honestly chose to believe the second one as going insane would not be fun and both sounded insane anyway so why not go for the more whimsy one. He still felt cautious like he knew something wasn’t adding up so he did the most logical thing he could do in this situation, try to figure out where the hell that voice came from. His first idea was to try and get a better angle of the top of the tree as granted some leaves and branches were blocking his view, as he move back some to get a better view of the tree he would see the culprit of starting his slow descent into madness it was none other than Nova Astron. Damien recognized her from the time he hosted a party at the astronomy tower to watch a comet pass the earth. It was honestly quite a lovely moment he thought to himself. He quickly went back to the situation and hand and began to speak to her. “Hello Nova it’s lovely to see you again, I’m just reading a romance book is all but uhm…why are you in a tree? | ☆ ⋆｡ ° ★ ✮ ⋆˙ ✦ ✶ ⋆.˚ |
