GRYFFINDOR vs RAVENCLAW - WINTER 2026
Alyss shivered. She was wearing a coat, an attempt to stay warm throughout the race. Despite the attempt, she could feel the warmth leaving her fingers and toes, leaving behind the bitter cold reminder that she was, in fact, facing the Scottish winter. To make it worse, there was rain. Sleet? Something of the sort. It wasn’t necessarily all that bad, but certainly not something she was enjoying by any means. However, she wasn’t the reason anyone was here. No, they were here to cheer on their house’s Broom Racing team, hoping to urge them to victory.Date: January 29th, 2026
Time: Morning
Weather: Cold, slight precipitation
As lovely as that was, it didn’t make Alyss feel any warmer. She took a moment to smile at the fact that there were people in the stands in this weather, before beginning. This was the reason she was here. “Hello, and welcome to the Winter Races, marking the first race of 2026!” She paused a moment to soak in that fact. Alyss was going to moderate and commentate the very first race of the new year. “This morning, we’re watching the daring GRYFF-IN-DOOORS!!” After a brief pause, she continued. “And they’re facing off against the mighty RAV-EN-CLAAAWS!!” Alyss gave the spectators a moment to show some appreciation for their teams, allowing herself a second to take a deep breath before continuing.
“Racers ready. On your marks. Get set. GO!!” Alyss exclaimed, a grin splitting her face as the match began.
