A locked life
This is a story Im literally starting today. Some parts of it may be edited out later or newer parts added. Some parts of it may trigger some people. Depending on how it turns out and some of the books/stories I have written none on here I wouldn't recommend under the age of 16 even tho I'm younger![]()

A locked life
Chapter One
Five years, 6 months, and two weeks. Five years, 6 months, and two weeks ago from this day is missing from her memory. But why does she remember what happened the day before and after so vividly? Down to the very last small detail. Every single word that was said. She could recite it so perfectly as if she were an actor spending months memorizing his lines for a movie. But the ones that he could recite perfectly in her sleep? The ones that she could say without stumbling on any words? Those are the ones that was said first thing when she woke up the next day. They crushed and shattered her heart every time she remembered or thought of these words. Something that no one should ever hear in there lives. That their unborn child is dead. No murdered. The gender of this baby is unknown to her. The doctors wouldn't tell her. And then that the father of this unborn child? Gone. Disappeared in thin air. As if everything that had happened didn't happen.
But the day that it supposedly happened? Nothing. A giant blank canvas. The only thing she knew about it was what she was told. None of the news was good. According to what the doctors told her when she woke up, she was found by a stranger seriously wounded and naked except for the blanket wrapped tight around her, covering all that was beneath. Deep and shallow cuts danced across her body, partnered with bruises. Hair torn and messy. Doctors said she was harassed. By who? Unknown. And then she was told her unborn baby didn't survive the attack either. And that's all. They let her leave the same day she woke up. With only an hour to gather herself before they urgently had her leave the room. Odd huh?
Groaning in frustration at her failed attempt of remembering that day and ending up remembering the day after, she gives up. She rolls over and checks the time. 6:32 am. Rolling her eyes she gets out of bed. Suddenly she hears a male voice groaning out, "Why are you up so early?" Her cheeks flare in embarrassment even tho the person in bed has already seen anything considered embarrassing. "I uh I have to go right now." she whispers as she throws on her clothes quickly.
She listens for a sign of acknowledgement. A grunt, groan, anything that shows that he heard her. No~ she didn't get any of that. What she does get though is the sound of light snores, signalling that he fell back asleep. Rolling her eyes in annoyance she finds a piece of paper and a pen, after finishing getting dressed.

Thank you for last night. I had a wonderful time. And I hope pray that you don't take this the wrong way. You didn't do anything wrong. But I don't think we could have or continue anything. We could be friends or nothing at all. But a relationship with us wouldn't work out. I hope you understand and aren't angry. So this is goodbye

Signing off the letter with only the first letter of her name she leaves his apartment quietly. Finding her car, she collapses dramatically into the front seat. After sitting there for a moment she starts the car up and drives home.

A locked life
Chapter Two
Back on a bed. At least its her bed. Sighing softly as she hears her stomach growling she rolls out of bed and heads to the kitchen. Walking into the kitchen, something catches her eye. A box and an envelope? Glancing longing at the kitchen she reluctantly walks towards the living room. Picking up the envelope, she reads the writing on it out loud. To My Mother
Gasping softly her mind reels. She couldn't have a child. Her unborn baby is dead. SO how would it be possible for someone to be her child. Dropping the envelope back onto the box she goes towards the kitchen deciding that if shes gonna read something life changing she better do it on a full stomach. Getting a glass of milk and cookies she heads back and flops onto the couch. Ripping open the envelope she gasps once more at the amount of letters shes got. the first three was proving that in fact she was this person's mother. After scanning through the documents she moves on to the actual letters. The letters was two and a half pages long and the hand writing looked eerily familiar. The only difference between this persons, wait no. Not a person, her sons, handwriting was that his hand doesn't have any loops in the g's s's and y's. Where on the other hand her hand writing is curvy on that part. Taking a nervous sip of her milk she starts reading.
Putting down the letter, her mind whirls with the information she just learned. Different realities and possibilities? So if she went into that box could she find a universe where that day never happened? Gasping softly she stares at the box, trying to decide whether to open it and see or finish reading the letters. Standing, she rolls the letters, puts them in her back pocket and starts towards the box. Abruptly, the doorbell rings, snapping her out of the trance she was pulled into. Spinning on her wheels, she changes her destination and heads to the door. Opening it, she gasps at the man who's standing in front of her.To My Mother,
Normally someone would put the date in their letters. And in any other normal circumstance I would put the date in the letter. But all in all this is not a normal circumstance. Hopefully you have already seen the documents that are included in this letter. I pray that you haven not opened the box yet and will never open it. But if you do ever open it or even plan to open, please, please, please read the letters I have sent you very, very carefully. What's in that box is what caused all of this.
To answer a question you probably have, is this a prank? And if it is who would pull such a terrible prank on someone? But surprise! This isn't a prank. Yes I am really your son. If you haven't noticed it already on the documents that prove that I'm your son, I have blacked out the birthday for me. This is something that you shouldn't ever know because if you didn't do what you did I shouldn't even be alive. But I am and Im also going to die soon.
If you ever open the box (hopefully you don't) you wont see anything in there. But after about 3 minutes of staring at the emptiness of the box, it'll look like there's a stairway in the box. An endless stairway. Which it'll seem like if you enter it. When you do be careful while walking down them. If you trip you could easily die. After walking down the stairs and hopefully you made it alive, I can't exactly tell you what you'll see. You will see something completely different from what I saw. But let's say its like you entered the Ocean of Time in Alice in Wonderland. I saw so many things. Different realities and possibilities.
