a snake?
'Twas the last week of August. The Roux family had just gotten back from Italy, after doing an Eurotrip, all around the continent. Portugal, France, Spain, Germany... and so many more countries. They had come home to attend balls and all, but for most of the Summer, she had been traveling all over. It was fun and quite beautiful, but she missed being home, and being at Hogwarts as well.
The Roux family had never had any pets, just Ebony, her younger brother's black kitten. He'd only gotten it after a lot of convincing. Violeta started doing the same and eventually convinced her father to let her adopt a pet. He'd took her over to London just to stop by the Magical Menagerie. Just a quick afternoon trip and back to their home in Manchester. That was all it was, really. Except her father did not know that she wanted a pet... snake. No other way to say it.
"This is the way it'll go. Go in, pick a pet, we leave and go back home." spoke her father, in a firm tone. The thirteen year old nodded and turned to him. "Actually, about that father... I know exactly what I want." said the adolescent, in a nervous tone. He raised is eyebrow, crossed his arms, clearly wanting her to go on. "There's not really a simple way to say this but, well, I've been thinking about this for a while and I would like a pet snake." she was clearly rambling. Her father looked as if he had expected this, which was odd, he replied again in an extremely nonchalant tone. "I am not going to lie, but I did expect this. Fine, you are going to explain to your mother, though."
Violeta was obviously a bit shocked with her father's approval she clearly was not expecting this. She expected him to at least be a little upset with her choice of pet. He didn't seem to be. The pair walked into the Menagerie and her father spoke with the shopkeeper and quickly, she was showed a few options of the scaly creatures. She could understand exactly what they were saying and noticed one of them was rather... quiet.
Something drew the creature to her. "Do you ever talk?" she asked the animal. It took a while for the creature to reply. "Only to those who interest me." "Do I?" "I am speaking to you, aren't I?" She nodded and smirked. "What is your name, if you have one?" "I call myself... Blaze." The snake pronounced it as 'Blai-ssss'. She smirked and looked at her father. "I'll take him." Her father nodded and finalized everything with the shopkeeper, and soon enough she had her companion.
