Ticket Exchange
It’s everything you ever want.
It’s everything you ever need,
And it’s here right in front of you.
This is where you wanna be.
Hoping to make this summer camp a memorable occasion, the Summer Planning Committee had decided to implement a little twist in the form of little token tickets reminiscent of those that children could obtain from muggle arcades. The idea was that these tickets would offer a sense of wonder and excitement, incentivizing and rewarding students for exploring and participating in all that the camp had to offer.
Whether they served as a sort of payment for those students who went above and beyond in spending a day manning a booth for the enjoyment of their peers or to reward those whose skillful mastery at games excelled beyond the rest, there would be a number of occasions and events for Prize Ticket Acquisition, where students would be able to earn the tiny little bits of paper.
But what would be a ticket without something for which to exchange it? Several businesses from Hogsmeade, Diagon Alley, and even Nocturn Alley had generously provided a number of items from their selection at discount rates (truth be told, they were thrilled for the opportunity to unload some overstock for reasonable prices) to contribute a varied selection of Available Prizes. From Chocolate Frogs to Lazy Eye Marble Sets to traditional Embraco teddies to impress a romantic interest, the hope was that everyone would find something within the collection that appealed to them.
Of course, the tickets came with a number of caveats:1. Prize Tickets themselves had no inherent monetary valueThus, it was well highlighted within the Summer Camp pamphlet distributed to every student just how important Turning In Your Tickets was for anyone who wanted to take advantage of this unique opportunity.
2. They could not be traded, sold, or otherwise given away
3. A student could only earn a maximum of 700 tickets
4. Once the camp concluded, the tickets would expire and disappear

Turning In Your Tickets
PRIZE TICKETScannot be turned in until the end of the summer camp.
ReducioThis is to minimize the burden on staff who have graciously agreed to the provision of requested prizes and we only want them to have to do so once.- The Summer Planning Committee will track student acquisition of
PRIZE TICKETSthroughout the summer camp, maintaining a spreadsheet record.- When the Ticket Exchange opens (after all event deadlines have passed), we will post a list of all students who have earned
PRIZE TICKETSand how many they have available to exchange for prizes.- To claim your prize after that date, simply make a post stating which item(s) you would like to "buy" with your
PRIZE TICKETS.
ReducioPrizes available for exchange are displayed above along with their respectivePRIZE TICKETScost, with store descriptions in their reducios.- You will have 14 days from the time that the Prize Exchange is officially opened to submit your request (deadline is December 16th). Once this date has passed, you can no longer request to exchange your tickets.
ReducioPrizes will not be distributed until AFTER this deadline so that the Summer Planning Committee can make one single request to staff for the necessary items.- Prizes will be distributed based on your MOST RECENT post in this thread.
Reducioe.g. Let's say you have 600 tickets and you post that you want the Enchanted Backpack. Then a few days later, you change your mind and instead of editing your original post (which is preferrable), you make a new post requesting Gentleman's Slapping Gloves, Wizard Crocs and Chocolate Frogs to make up the difference. We will distribute the Gentleman's Slapping Gloves, Wizard Crocs and Chocolate Frogs to make up the difference.- You are responsible for the math. We will not reach out to you to correct it.
ReducioIn the event that what you request has a total value that exceeds the number of tickets you have to spend, we will remove the lowest ticket item(s) until the value comes to within what you have to spend. Similarly, if you end up with extra tickets that could have been spent on something else, we will not automatically reimburse you with additional items. Extra tickets are void.╔════════════════╗

Q & AReducio
- Q: Can I give tickets that I've earned to someone else?
A: No, you cannot. Consider Prize Tickets to be soulbound, that is to say that they are tied to the character that has earned them and cannot be traded, sold, or given away. What you do with the items you earn from trading in your tickets is up to you, but the tickets themselves are yours and yours alone.- Q: What if I don't want any of the items available for ticket trade-in?
A: This is just a fun little system to fit the theme of the fair and festival and to encourage and reward participation. The Prize Ticket system is entirely optional. You don't have to collect tickets, nor trade them in if you don't want to. However, the items above are the items available. You could always give away or sell the items if you don't want them.- Q: Can I exchange my tickets for prizes at any time during camp?
A: No. All three of the events that give out Prize Tickets have participation deadlines for anyone interested in collected tickets. As they progress, we will track tickets earned in a spreadsheet by character. Once the last of those deadlines is reached, we will post an announcement and a notice in this thread that the Prize Distribution Centre is open. You will have a set amount of time to turn in your tickets for prizes. See above for all the details.- Q: What if I have leftover tickets?
A: This is likely to happen. We tried to set up a variety of prices to accommodate all levels of ticket earning and to give you many options on how to spend your tickets. Our recommendation is to spend excess on the cheaper items until you can't spend any more. You'll still probably end up with a few leftover, and they will be considered null and expired once the Prize Distribution closes.- Q: So I participated in all the activities and got lucky with betting on the winning horse and winning all the carnival games so should have gotten maximum prize tickets (890) but it says I only have 700 to spend on prizes. What gives?
700 is the maximum number of Prize Tickets that you can earn! While we admire enthusiasm and encourage involvement in the various camp activities and events, we acknowledge that some people have limited time, other responsibilities, or even more than one character and we don't want you to burn out. So we've offered several ways to get the maximum prize ticket value so that you don't have to feel like you need to do absolutely everything. If you want to do everything, then by all means, you're free to do so. But once you reach 700 tickets, that's the max. You won't get any bonus tickets.

Ticket Exchange
The TICKET EXCHANGE is now OPEN!
Now that the various Summer Camp 2025 moderated events have finally concluded, your hard earned tickets can now be put to use. Below, you will find the tallied ticket totals for all participants across the various summer camp 2025 events. Please reference this when you make your decisions on how you would like to spend your tickets. The Ticket Exchange will be open for two (2) weeks, until the end of December 16th (once the very last time zone has reached end of day).
After this time, we will make submit an invoice of the requested items to staff and then distribute them once we have received the necessary items. Given that staff are very busy—especially with the holidays now encroaching—we ask for your patience during this process.
