WHO WE ARE?
*Please note that this is an IC Club (In-Character Club)
PULSE is a magical healing-based student club at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was founded by Simon Kincaid at the end of the 2024-2025 school year.
WHAT IS OUR MISSION STATEMENT?
Magic is wild, the world is dangerous, and someone has to know how to fix things! If you're interested in a future career in healing or simply have an interest in magical medicine, PULSE provides a wide array of activities to expand knowledge of magical medicine.
WHAT IS OUR MOTTO?
"ama, cura, sana" - love, tend, heal
WHAT DO WE DO?
Activities of PULSE include greenhouse days, plant propagation, unofficial healing clinics, guest speakers, medical skills workshops, medical case study reviews, test prep for the OWLs and NEWTs, debates on medical ethics, anatomy drawing challenges, service projects, keeping up with recent medical publications and findings, day in the life simulations, supply gathering, blood drives, and field trips.
WHEN AND WHERE DO WE MEET?
PULSE will meet on the third Saturday of every month - with breakout sessions and field trips happening throughout the year.
WHAT WILL I NEED?
Good intentions and a focused mind!

To meetings, always bring your wand, a notebook, and a quill. Additional supplies needed may be dragonhide gloves, standard potion kit, books and publications about magical medicine, protective robes, and various herbology samples.

LINKS TO PAST/CURRENT MEETINGS?
  • May 2025 - Meet and greet to introduce PULSE and see who might be interested in joining. Snacks will be provided and a summer field trip is announced.
  • March 2026 - Plant propagation and experimental herbal enhancement to strengten the healing potency of magical herbs and attempt to culvivate entirely new medical variants.
  • September 2026 - Members are introduced to PULSE and explore different magical healing specialities through "What Kind of Healer Are You?" stations, followed by an introduction to the internship with the Hospital Wing for those interested.
